Honestly probably one of the worse paneras I've been too. They're supposed to serve breakfast until 11 on weekends and stopped at 1030 on Sunday (I've gotten breakfast at this time many times on Sunday's) so I'm not sure if the staff decided they no longer wanted to do breakfast or the girl at the front was lying/not doing her job right. To sum up my visit, it would just be that everyone here wasn't trained properly or trained at all for customer service. They messed up my order twice and didn't apologize after messing up twice, even though I was understanding. Tried to pull a fast one over me saying I couldn't speak to the manager because they were on break and it's policy, when I know it's not policy because I used to work for Panera. Let them know about the mistakes they made and told them I was okay with mistakes as long as everything is resolved and I get what I paid for, but yet, they screw it up again. So upset, that a bagel shop no longer has cream cheese! I do have to admit, it's been a year since I've eaten anything like this, so this may not be "New" information if Panera Bread lovers already knew this. But we took a little day trip along the coast and decided to treat ourselves with our favorite carbohydrates and sugar breakfast place. The smoke alarm kept going off and after I ordered my French Toast bagel, sliced and toasted, with a side of Hazelnut Cream Cheese. The lady put my warm bagel on a plate, with a little condiment cup that says "Plain Cream Cheese Spread". And then I was told Panera Bread no longer makes or serves cream cheese. What?!?! There was a line to order when we entered. That's usually a good sign. Ordered arugula and steak sandwich and a turkey bacon on tomato basil. They have chocolate milk! No cup for the milk and no cup of soda like we ordered. Wife went back to inquire. The girl taking the order was kind of a space case. Wife came back with her drink! We sat in a booth and it smelled, not clean, enough we moved. It smelled better were we moved to. The food was below mediocre. It was expensive. $25 for two drinks a 1 1/2 sandwiches. The staff was nice but the entire ambiance was "we're all used up" Probably won't return. :-( read more

We go to all three locations in the area (Oxnard, Camarillo, & Ventura). I'm not sure why but this location has horrible customer service. Every time I come to this location, there's a problem. Tonight, I tried phoning in my order and the employee asked to place me on a brief hold. I was on hold for so long that when he finally picked up again, I told him that at this point, I would just come in and order at the counter because I was already parked and getting out of my car. Employee replied "Okay." and hung up. Placed my order for 2 bowls of potato soup, 1 bowl of turkey chili, and a chipotle chicken sandwich. Got the food out to my car and saw on the receipt stapled to my bag that they had given me some kind of turkey sandwich. Not what I ordered. My husband took it back inside and told a lady at the front counter. She snatched it from his hand without apology and went to the back. Go to the other locations. We used to love coming to this location but the past 2 months the service and food has been of very poor quality. They are always out of many basic items such as the chocolate chipper mini cookies. I've tried getting a bag at 7am and they are already out. If they always sell out, it seems logical they would make a bigger batch. It also seems like all the familiar, friendly faces who worked here are gone and the place has all new staff members who aren't sure how to make the products and seem confused and are too busy to stop and say hi or thank you. I've had various disappointing experiences at this location. This last one is pushing me to write a review. I ordered two salads for pick up last week. Being between doctor appointments for our newborn, we ordered online and picked up the food and headed out. When we opened the salads, the greens were kind of wilted and there was no chicken in the salads. We were hungry and sleep deprived and this was the last thing we needed. I called the restaurant numerous times to request a refund but never got through. Then I called the corporate number and all I got was a reference number for a case saying that someone from the franchise would contact me. It's been over a week and I haven't heard anything. A few years back I ordered the same salad and it came with a rotten egg. It smelled so bad that it made me wonder about the food safety at this place. I stopped here to do a little studying whilst experiencing the pseudo-posh plaza known as The Collection. When I arrived I was a little overwhelmed at the selection of deli and pastry items. Nevertheless, I went with my gut and ordered the popular meal combo of a deli sandwich, a 1/2 soup, and a piece of baguette. I ordered their Mediterranean Veggie sandwich with a tomato soup: it was actually pretty good. The sandwich was filling despite having no meat in it; the tomato soup was warm and seasoned properly (canned tomato soup is overly salty). I signed up for a Panera member's card and automatically received a free espresso drink as a reward. A caveat about the free drink: it's not an automatic gift, but a promotion that was being offered this day; thus, when you sign up you may or may not receive a free item. Anyways, the girl who helped me was extremely kind and helpful. Also, one of the servers, who was genial and affable, was kind enough to recommend a drink which ended up being the Caramel Latte coffee. That coffee shot my heart rate through the roof! It was so tasty that I drank a bit too fast and ended up shaking my leg so much I put a hole in the floor. This place is convenient for anyone looking to get a good meal or a quick coffee and pastry and do some studying. They also have free wifi!! It is definitely one of my new study spots! read more

I was very specific on my order with no avocado, tomatoes etc... When I walked in, the place was empty, I received my To-go order and when I got home. 1. Just wanted to let you know that, if you have an employee clean tables, don't have him serve the food. I can't say enough of how good this place is for America. I'm not kidding. I love seeing Panera Bread in suburban shopping centers like this, because they can be exposed to real normal sized portions when it comes to soups, salads, and sandwiches. Yes it's true this place has the word Bread in it, and if you are trying to lay off carbs you will cry in starvation horror. But you can swing it easily. The pick 2 combos where you pick a healthy salad and soup, and replace that baguette with a healthy apple is a much more healthier alternative to a fast food joint. read more

I have been to many Paneras all over the LA and Ventura County areas, and this one is by far my favorite. It's located in a nice, new shopping center that has a nice large parking lot which is nice and easy. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and accommodating. It can sometimes get a bit busy, but you can tell how hard the staff is working to keep the restaurant clean and organized. Every manager I have come across is super kind and strives to ensure the staff knows what they're doing. The bread is always fantastic. Many times I will come in here just to buy a baguette or bread bowl. I am also a huge fan of the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, and ask for extra dressing. They never charge me extra for it! Great atmosphere and a wonderful staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

As I ordered his sandwich, the clerk ringing it up had no idea what was in it and when I asked to add yellow mustard, she asked me what that was and that I could only have the maple mustard. I was over trying to explain it again so, I paid and went to five guys to order some fries. I returned to find this sandwich at the table: the turkey, avocado BLT at its finest. I have been to this location several times mostly during my lunch break sometimes it's fair but sometime the service is horrible. They constantly take their sweet little time taking orders and there is no urgency to open up one more of 4 registers that they have available. Sometimes they have customers in there that are very extra and have the cashier reading off every specific detail in the menus to these clients. That's fine but atleast acknowledge the people in line and attempt to get some help. There are many times I have gone over my time allowed for my lunch break. I'm doing this review while I'm in this Panera location. I'm only giving this a 3 star because I LOVE anything in Panera. I walked in and the lady at the register was looking at me and did not even acknowledged that I am there. I walked to her register and made an eye contact and asked her about the new items that they have on the display board. She wasn't sure of what answers to give me. She referred me to look at the menu card behind me for information on the items that I was inquiring about. I felt rushed by her so I decided to just order what I originally planned to order. Great location in the middle of the Collection shopping center. Food is good, always the same as any other Panera. But I'm giving this one a 5 star due to the customer service. I recently ordered online and went to pick up. I waited maybe 5 minutes past the expected window, which if you've ever ordered food online is well within the acceptable range. Service great, fast, friendly and helpful. Salad was delicious, had to ask for extra dressing because they hardly put any on at all. Not a big fan of the poppyseed dressing though so I think I'll try the same salad but with a different dressing next time. Jo was helpful, explained the menu knowledgeably and didn't rush a newb such as myself. Shoutout to Chase for being a super laid back yet still effective manager/shift lead. He made light conversation while bringing me my food since I ate here just now; not to mention my "Pick 2" meal was ready in minutes! Made me feel welcomed yet not overburdened with superficial conversation; I appreciate that fine line. Wait staff never once bothered me, but kindly asked if I would like them to take my tray away just moments after finishing my soup and sandwich. Alas, the food! The turkey bravado whatever the hell I got was well assembled and tasted fresh. Similarly, the chicken and wild rice soup was creamy in a subtle way that did not taste like it was saturated with salt or preservatives.
