Caring, attentive staff, hard workers. Also the food is insanely excellent which might be missed as "soups and sandwiches" always get talked down about and the location looks modest from the outside. I love the layout of the dining area- it's set up for different groupings and also for travelling businesspeople as the location is right near a Highway ramp area. Minot itself can be kind of a draggy place especially during long winters so Panera is a little beacon of joy in a tough place. read more

Okay, we arrived in Minot around lunch time and decided to go here. It was me and my 2 daughters on a girls trip. We all discussed and we decided to come here. The workers were nice but they took orders a little slow. My one daughter ordered a kids hot turkey and cheese sandwich NO ADD ONS!! I was not satisfied with my experience at Panera bread from the moment I walked in. We were not greeted, at all. Our cashier was a girl named Olivia, she was very rude and I believe we were up charged and not given the "pick two". Also, there was a hair in my sandwich. After some time i decided to give it a go. To be honest, it's actually pretty good. The options for healthy are there, you be surprised how fresh it is. After a change in food regiment, and trying to find healthy options, Panera really is very good. My only ding really is service, sometimes items do get missed on occasion, it's not atrocious. It really exceeds my expectations, not but most of them. For example, occasionally there is either a missing item or two... Yes to keep these good places honest, always check the bag when ordering to go. Everyone gets into a rush, i like this place too much to not have a complete order. A bonus point, one day there was a missing item, instead of going rage, nah just see about a replacement item. That actually was an interesting adventure, found a new item i never would have tried in the bakery. The nice lady was very sweet. Inside the store, i can see why people chill for hours. I'm assuming you're familiar with this national chain, so this review is more about this particular location in Minot. I'm the type of guy that once I find what I like at a place I always order that. And while I only eat at Panera maybe 3x/yr, it's always a pick two of soup and salad. The soup was hot when delivered. Break that down a little. This location brings your order out to your table. No standing around the counter waiting. I've had luke warm soup from these guys too. Not here. Salad was on point. I've been served the green goddess salad with half frozen chicken or avocados that were WAY over ripe. All ok here. It is what it is, Panera. read more

Came here for a late evening meal. Had broccoli and cheese soup. The staff behind the copier could not look up my frequent visit card. They did not have enough training. They did not know the menu. They did not know the products. Order was completed quickly but it was cut short in the amount of soup I usually get. Talked to the manager and no luck getting it filled to the appropriate level. Was told that is it. Food was hot, not burnt. It was flavorful. Wish I had gotten the correct amount, would have made the visit better. It was on a Sunday evening. I attribute this to our training for this facility out trying to capitalize on people for profit. A last drinks can be filled to the correct level. This store could use several training meetings and come up to standards. The kids for drinks and other items were out in the main dining hall. The restroom was out of paper towels and a team member was in the restroom washing hands. Made me wonder how he correctly washed his hands and dried them. Anyone who knows me know I do not write many negative things but work is needed to bring the restaurant to Panera standards. The inside could use some cleaning. read more

Ate at this restaurant last night for the first time in a few months because the last time we were there they had a insect problem. This time 3 of the 4 of us ordered salads and all 3 were wrong. Items missing on all 3. The staff was not not very attentive after pointing this out. The 4th person in our group ordered chicken noodle soup and it was mostly broth. I came here yesterday for a lunch/dinner, and it was my first time at Panera Bread. I wanted to try one of their signature bread bowls, but I felt that I wasn't hungry enough to finish it, so I got a Pick 2 Combo with Creamy Tomato soup and the new Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad, with water as my drink. It cost about $8-$9. I liked the soup, it had a different texture than the tomato soup I usually have, and it came with these good croutons that weren't too hard that they didn't soak up the soup well. It also came with a small "French baguette", a piece of bread you can dip in your soup. Yum! The salad was also very good. It didn't even seem to have that much dressing, yet it was really flavorful and I never felt like I was eating dry lettuce. The fruit went well with the pecans and chicken. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, too. You go in to order, and then you go sit down in a seating area that looks like you are at a sit-down restaurant. It is a warm atmosphere with lighting that is not too bright, and it is different from other "fast food" restaurants. Overall, I liked the atmosphere and I was a fan of the meal. Really glad there is a Panera up here. I'm happy to say that this location has improved since I first got to Minot. For instance (and I do apologize as this may read as a patronizing comment) I no longer receive Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese on my salad when I ask for feta (bleu and Gorgonzola are not good to me...so this really makes a big difference). However, when I've come in with a skull splitting headache, this place has been a life saver. The employees are great and the food is fresh. I'm extremely glad it's here! read more

Do NOT expect to get what you order at this Panera. Apparently they decide what your side item is for your meal. I ordered a pick 2, soup and salad meal, at the drive-thru and asked for chips as my side. I was told that baguette was the side assigned for this pick 2 - WHAT? I asked if i could substitute and was told to pull ahead. To my surprise I received a baguette as my side. What I didn't receive was a spoon for my soup. Extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT VISIT THIS PANERA. I would avoid at all cost. I called Panera corporate and actually asked if they had changed policy about being able to select your own side with a pick 2 and was told of course not and that I should have been given the side I requested, which was chips. read more

Usually Panera is pretty consistent and can be confident to walk in and get a decent meal. Not so here. The food was downright awful. I bought a sandwich, chicken BLT with avocado. The chicken was a massive slab of overcooked chick breast poorly prepared (or microwaved). Then the toppings were what seemed like month old tomato. Ugh thinking about that sandwich.. The crap I am going to take on this restaurant is nothing compared to the crap that Panera made me take. I had a Turkey bacon sandwich with a cup of french onion soup, which cost me $13. Decor: The place looks nice with booths and small little table to sit at. Lighting is nice. Has a warm hip feel to it. Food: If it had a strong point it would be that the french onion soup was well done. The sandwich on the other hand was disappointing. It was no bigger than any normal sized sandwich that I could make myself from a normal sized loaf of bread bought at the local grocery store. The quality of the sandwich was only slightly better than something I also could have made myself. Service: The service was fast and courteous. My food was out to me in 8 min. NOW the worst part: No more than 10 minutes after I ate my meal did I feel those dreaded bowel movements. That crap took me just as long, if not longer, to do than eating the actual meal itself. And I was engaged in conversation while I was eating. Even if I didn't have my bowel problems from this place I still would not eat there again. I go to Panera JUST for their BREAD. I will not eat their food. I made that mistake once. It is horrific. Hard bread for sandwiches... the soup was hot on the top and i had a clump of frozen veggies in the middle (must have been nuked) Also, one of the register / customer facing employees are horrid. When I see her I am like "God not her" She forgot to wear gloves once. Another time I ordered bagels she placed it on some counter that was filthy (I obviously asked for a new doze), once she even wiped her hair out of her face and rubbed her nose with the gloves on when getting the bread - I was like change your gloves and get me another bread. Panera Bread is one of those great chain establishments which provides an escape from the crazy world while sampling some delicious pastries. This location though does not meet the Panera Bread standards I have seen in many locations across the United States including Fargo, Tampa, and Winnetka, Illinois. This locations which has been open for a short time and already has some serious problems that need to be addressed. First, the floors were dirty and the eating areas were very dirty. It looks like there had been no cleaning throughout the day. Second, this location does not have some of the items you can find and locations anywhere else. As well, the food was overall below average. The food items seemed rushed and with a few more seconds could be great. As well, we had issues with the French Onion soup. When it arrived, it was cold. We asked them to warm up the soup but when it was given back to us there was more cheese and croutons and the soup was still cold. When I returned the soup to the counter myself and told the manager the soup was still cold after being sent back, the response was to ask if I wanted something else. To which I replied, I just want a warm bowl of French Onion Soup. They poured the soup from the serving station and then proceeded to microwave the soup. In the end, the second bowl was mediocre. The service was pitiful as the manager didn't apologize instead the teenager cook made sure things were OK. Not sure if it will be my last visit as I love the pastries and bagels. I travel, I visit many eating establishments whether large, small, good or bad. I'm also consistent so when I find a good place I return to it. Panera in Minot ND has always been great with customer service, quality and great tasting food. Today I was severely disappointed when I stood, alone, while the place wasn't busy at 3:00 PM on a Sunday and for the following 10 minutes (I was patient because I really wanted to eat there) I didn't receive a "hello", a "be right with you", all I received was three different staff members taking a glance at me and going about their way. I finally had to leave and figure something different out. Best of luck Panera, I know I'm only one customer, but I've been loyal since you opened here. If you continue to treat customers this way you might find yourselves without any over time. read more

Over all, I was pretty happy with everything. The story, there was three of us in the party, while we got up the line we split into two and had two different cashiers. One of us had a young lady help, who had trouble listening and often needed to be told several times the simple order. The order in the end was littered with mistakes in the end. The other had a sharp and well versed helper and we had no issues with our order. Very pleased. The food was very good. The bread is fantastic. Calm and relaxing environment. I love Panera, so, I tried giving this Panera a couple tries.. But every time I've gone to this one, they either give me the wrong cream cheese (which the one they gave me had nuts in it, which I am allergic to) or they give me cream cheese that is completely frozen. The mango smoothie tasted pretty bad. And they usually forget to give you a knife for cream cheese if going through the drive through. Aside from getting this stuff mixed up, the employees seem nice. read more

I had been to the Panera Bread restaurant in Ft. Collins and was happy to see a new one in Fargo and real glad to see one in Minot. I got a soup and salad meal - it was good - but, WAY, WAY too long a wait. It may have been busy earlier for lunch - but, I was there at 1:45 last Thursday and it wasn't that busy. I sat near the pick up counter and saw 3 staff people look at what was my order and order receipt - then the 2nd staff person came back and picked it up and brought it to me. (14 minutes from when I ordered it according to the receipt). I told her I had been waiting for a long time and asked for a to- go container as I had to get to the airport. She got it, but, no apology or anything was said. As I said it was tasty, but, be prepared to wait. This place is ok.. I got chicken tortillini and there was only three tiny pieces of chicken. The pasta was hard in the center as though it wasn't cooked throughly.. The bread that came with it was literally the best part of the meal. My husband had the bread bowl but he did not know that the bread bowl also came with a side of bread... Needless to say, he didn't touch that because it was just too much bread. They should have paired with up with a different side other than another slice of bread. Last 3 times I went there and ordered my usual...Italian, I asked for no onion. Onion on it every time. It seems that I get a different bread every time also. If I wanted white sandwich bread, I'd make a sandwich at home. When it was announced that they were coming here, I was happy for another choice. the day is may 17, in the year 2020. i drive up to the parking lot, very excited to enjoy a nice salad and cup of soup. immediately when i walk in, i am met with a crabby and irritable cashier (whose name tag read manager). as i am ordering, she is very short with me and almost annoyed that i bothered with wanting to eat here. when i finally get my food (after 12ish minutes, although the establishment was empty apart from me and my friend), i only have one spoon and i figure it will be no problem to get my friend a spoon as well. sure enough, i stand at the counter waiting for service for almost 5 minutes when i finally see another worker. i slightly wave my hand, not wanting to be rude because it seems she is working on another task at the moment, and ask her if i may get one more spoon. she looks up at me, she rolls her eyes, and returns to whatever she might've been doing. another worker walks past and is watching me just stand there, still waiting for a simple spoon. he asks me "you want what?" and i reply "just a spoon please". he grabs a spoon from the container that was RIGHT IN FRONT of the first worker i had a asked for a spoon from and hands it to me. i give quick thank you and return to my table. i am eager to eat my meal but it is not as fulfilling as i had anticipated. i only give this experience a 1 star because i am usually met with decent staff and good food, neither of those were provided to me this day. the worst part of this all is that on top of my $19 meal, i had prematurely decided to tip them a WHOLE dollar. i am not a cheap person and i enjoy tipping when deserved, but that was definitely one of the biggest wastes of a dollar in my life. read more

My first visit to Panera Bread and also the last. First off menu is very confusing. After studying the menu for 15 minutes I decided to order a smoked turkey BLT with avocado. Food came to the table fast. Was not impressed. Way over priced for the size and quality of the sandwich $9. I then proceeded to take a bite of the sandwich tasted ok but something was missing. hmmm. I opened the sandwich and no bacon.. What the hell.. BLT Bacon Lettuce and Tomato. Maybe they accidentally forgot it. I took it back to the counter to get help. Stood there for what seemed like eternity. FINALLY.. The girl who took my order was going to help me. I asked her if a BLT was suppose to have bacon. Like I didn't know. She then asks the cooks about it. I hear at least threes cook yell back at her " We are out of bacon". Seriously I'm now pissed. Scamming all customers who order anything with bacon. This happened on a Saturday at lunch time 4-11-15. Ok back to the sandwich. She then took the sandwich away from me and put it the kitchen and offered me a pastry.. Like what hell I ordered a sandwich I don't want a stupid pastry. I said, I want to speak to the manager. The manager must have been hiding because he showed up immediately. He opened the till without saying a word and handed my money back. I'm like what... I'm lost where's my sandwich. He says I thought you wanted your money back. Do you want another sandwich. I'm like no just forget it. Thinking to myself that menu was so confusing the first time around I'm not going to try to find another sandwich in a split second and then repay for it. Also thinking you should give me a free sandwich you stupid young kid. I proceed back to my table now with no food and sat watching my wife eat her meal. We then left I'm still hungry and proceeded to the nearest fast food Burger King to try to eat again . This place is in desperate need of new management.
