Decided to give this shop a second try and was very happy to do so. Last time I came right at the end of the day and there were closing and understaffed. The sandwich was small and did not impress me. Today was lunch with a long line of locals. Still understaffed but the staff was very friendly, polite, and hardworking. Very positive vibe. Had the Chicago Beef special and it was wonderful, brought back some great memories. The shop was clean and busy. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the selections. read more

My first time in Minot's Magic City Sweets & Hoagies was delicious! They also have ice cream ( you can make an ice cream sandwich with just about anything you can thing of). I ordered the pickle hoagie ( they mentioned it wasn't super popular but I don't know why it was yummy). The owner helped the crew make it andI would order it 100% again. The inside of the shop has amazing wall art and is very welcoming. I definitely would suggest making a stop in to try some of their tasty food! read more

If you've been here a while or are a local born and raised and have never darkened the door of this restaurant, you owe it to yourself and your palate to take in this hidden treasure. NOTE: The N.O. Muffuletta is phenomenal, just get half the olive spread because it's a little overwhelming if you don't. read more

Was brought here by a local on a visit to Minot. Nice little spot and simple process to order your sandwich. They had a huge menu which was nice, of both hot and cold sandwiches. I had the Bacon Ranch Buffalo Chicken. A nice recommendation from the local, was to have it pressed. Basically they just take your sandwich put it in a panini-like press so it gets heated up real good, cheese melted etc. Good call by him. You choose the amount of sauce you want and they put it together to your liking. Service was fast, food was fresh, chicken was cooked perfectly, plus they had Pepsi products which was another big plus for me. Absolutely beat any of the chain hoagie options available in my book. I was expecting deli style fresh cut meat, and it was more like lunch meat you find in the cold section at the grocery store. They didn't have fries or avocado available and the tomatoes were old and stringy and the buffalo chicken is not spicy what so ever..... the bread was great though! Friendly and helpful service. Just disappointed in the quality of my 3 sandwiches since I spent $42 on them. (That's with delivery charges) I really wanted to love this place so hopefully they change the quality of meats and veggies and when that happens I will return to give them another go. read more

The owner knows her sandwiches and her passion and attention to every detail comes through in the finished product. She specially wraps my sandwhich to be better facilitate eating in the work truck on the road. I try a different sandwhich from the massive menu each time and have never been disappointed. I have recently moved here from OKC and had a lot of different sandwiches from different establishments and deli's down there, (apologies on the back story but there's a reason... just read on!) and always found they were missing something, whether it be the freshness of their lettuce, the snap of a green pepper or just the feeling of being rushed! Helpful in making my selection ( they didn't have enough meatballs to do anything more than a 6" which is fine, I'll give it a shot the next time I come back!) I got the Zesty Italian and have to say the bread was nice and fluffy, with a slightly firm shell that gave a nice texture when I sunk my teeth into it! The lettuce was snappy and fresh! The meats were great and stacked evenly throughout the sandwich as to not get too much of one flavor coupled with the homemade vinaigrette, which has a great zesty tangy flavor to it! I added the banana peppers which to be fair were a bit soggy and lost a bit of their crunch so I might skip those next time! Overall the atmosphere was EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a hometown deli and this will definitely be worth the drive to grab another hoagie! Great job guys!!! read more

Not the speediest stop but they have some tasty sandwiches! We ordered a Miami Cuban, The Big Blarney, a custom ham hoagie and a custom tuna hoagie. We cut up the subs and shared them... The Big Blarney was our fave... it's a Jewish deli classic with corned beef, pastrami, kraut, cole slaw & thousand island. The only thing that would make it better is rye bread. The Miami Cuban was also quite good. The ham was okay but imho they could do better with their choice of boiled ham. The tuna needs work.. FYI it's basically tuna out of the can and not a tuna salad of any sort and quite bland. It would possibly work ok for a tuna melt but they don't have one of those in the menu. Went here while visiting my son at Minot AFB. We had the Philly cheesesteak and beef dip with city fries (fries with bacon ranch onions and cheese) and gizmo fries (fries with meat balls red sauce and Parmesan). It was all very good. The best sandwich place in town. Everything is fresh. The meat is fresh cut, not prepackaged like other places. The vegetables are crisp and flavorful. The bread is excellent. They have hot and cold sandwiches and a brand new specialty sandwich menu. There are chips, potato salad, fries or macaroni salad as sides or a soup of the day. There is usually a "sandwich of the day" option. The staff is out of this world friendly and helpful and open to any new ideas to help the place grow.
