And then I had to get a straw to search for tea bags, because it tasted like hot foamy water and I was convinced they'd forgotten to put the tea bags in. Well, they hadn't. There was one tea bag. My standard of comparison is Gusto over by Longview, which makes the best tea fogs in town. They use two tea bags and it tastes like heaven. Whatever they served me at Whistle Stop tasted like perfumed water. So overall, I give it a 3/5. Points for location and decor and nice chairs. But the main attraction should be the drinks, and they were both kinda terrible. And there's just no excuse for serving someone 2/3 of a cup when we're paying $6 for a small drink.

We were immediately greeted and we sat at the bar since nobody was there at 11:05. Our waitress was Giovanna, who was happy, energetic and engaging. I ordered the special; pork tenderloin with tater tots and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich. While we were waiting we talked with Giovanna about sparkling waters that we each liked and she went out to her car and got a La Croix Lemon Cello drink to try while we were waiting for our food. (She normally doesn't do this but it pertained to our conversation and was a gracious gesture). The food came out quickly and was presented beautifully. Both sandwiches were tender and juicy and cooked to perfection! We had no complaints, only compliments. We highly recommend this and we will be back!
