Ordered delivery through the app and was delivered the wrong soup. After spending 20 minutes trying to figure out how to go through the app to report it (no way, unless you are registered), I called. I was told that there was an envelope with cash in it in the bottom of the bag I had just thrown in the garbage, because they had run out of cheddar broccoli soup and substituted chicken noodle. I should have been notified of the substitution so I COULD HAVE CANCELLED THE ORDER. But no. The damn delivery driver got a great tip for an order that was wrong - and Panera claims it's not their fault because it's a third party app. THAT YOUR APP SENT ME TO. Can't give it zero stars, so here goes-After the THIRD time getting my delivery order wrong (don't bother blaming door dash, Panera packs the to go orders) I finally logged a complaint. Terrible example of customer service! Ordered dinner to be delivered through their App. Evidently they have contracted with DoorDash to deliver for them. I found this out because the driver called to say that the street address had not completely gone through to them. I told them it was thru Panera and they said they would contact them to get approval. 20 minutes later, I get an update that my order have been delivered. Nothing was delivered. I even called the gate and they said no one had gone thru with my address. This is where it gets bad. I called the Panera store and talked to Anthony (store manager). He told me that it wasn't his problem and that he would only give me the phone number to DoorDash. No offer to refund, or redo the order. Last time I checked, when you pay a company to deliver something, its not the customers responsibility to track it down when it gets lost. It's theirs! Anthony, if you knew the number, as a manager, shouldn't you call the company yourself and get the problem resolved. FINALLY!!! A Panera Beard where they serve a great portion of tuna for their Tuna Sandwiches. I love the tuna sandwiches at Panera, but most of the time I get a small little portion of tuna covered with thick bread and some toppings (lettuce, tomato, onions). Sometimes I rarely taste the tuna because the portions are so tiny it's like I'm eating a Dry Salad Sandwich, seriously. But here in La Quinta, they gave me the perfect amount of tuna and I freaking loved every bite of my sandwich. I didn't get the name of the person who gave me my food but he was a male youngish looking guy, he deserves a raise Panera. My daughter ordered through Postmates so not sure if the reason the food was stone cold upon arrival is theirs or Panera's. See attached pics of a so called kids grilled cheese. The people working at this particular location are so unbelievably incompetent. They lost my order, and when I called they repeatedly hung up on me. Again, and again, and again. It was like trying to have a conversation with a child who was in trouble. They decided it was just easier to hang up. I had to call the palm desert location, where a very nice and professional person actually took the time to speak with me. So bizarre. Do not use food delivery with Panera if you actually have any expectation that they will fill your order completely. Firstly, all orders I have had from here delivered have been missing many things added to order, butter, condiments. Utensils or napkins rarely make it in the bag. Sandwiches are poorly made - they don't even lay any deli meat along the bread evenly they just throw everything in the middle ! The sandwich looks ridiculous. No mayo or only one one side only. Want mustard on that and you requested oops not there. If the order menu allows you to add to cart train your employees to follow it for a change. No longer ordering take out or delivery. Like everywhere, Panera has it's good and bad days. I've gotten some bad service, inconsistent food and had bad experiences there at times. However, this does not change the fact that this is an awesome place and concept. For relatively cheap, you get a fresh, healthy, low calorie meal that is extremely tasty and filling. It's also very creative and has a great blend of ingredients and flavors. I hope that Panera stay successful through the pandemic and for as long as I am around :) read more

The portions were also disappointing.. the fuji chicken salad had only half ass much chicken as usual and no fuji apple chips. My napa chicken salad only had half as much chicken as usual. Restaurant was not clean. Although plenty of staff (more than 7) working, except for the person who took our order, they seemed disinterested in offering any customer service. We had to collect our own napkins, utensils, and food from the staff counter. No one there to help with take out containers which meant customers were helping themselves and people were handling and replacing lids, butter pats from a large container, unwrapped straws, etc. A staff person had the restrooms "closed for cleaning", actively doing something inside, for the entire time we were there having our meal. I decided to give Panera another try after 2 months of absence. My previous experience wasn't very good. This time It was a pleasant surprise! I had some Cobb salad. The salad was fresh with lots of chicken, tomatoes and a good portion of avocado. The bread was also tasty and fresh. The service was much better than before. This is really more of a public service announcement. If you go to this Panera - you cannot trust that your order is correct. CHECK IT CAREFULLY! We placed an order there in the store to take home. It was not busy - there were two other orders ahead of us. Period. When our order was ready, they called our name, and we took our bag and drove home - 20 minutes away. Our bad not double checking they had done it right. When we got home, ONE of the THREE items of our order was not in the bag. I called, and the very nice manager offered to have the rest of my order ready if I wanted to make the 20 minute drive - each way - back and pick it up. I asked if it could be delivered - I had just seen a Panera delivery vehicle pulling in to their parking lot. No, apparently not - it was too far away, in the wrong direction! They could enter it into the manager's book, so that next time I'm at that Panera, I can get the missing sandwich free (free? - we already paid for it after all). But we are just visiting the area from out of state, so that's not likely to happen. They can't put it back on my credit card - I'd have to go back in. They can't email me a voucher, or apply a credit to my Panera account. So much for the digital age. So I have shared my lunch with my husband so that he has something to eat, and I've learned my lesson. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER. Lesson learned. read more

Now obviously I was super irritated cause I'm sick and hungry and I'm almost positive there ain't shit they can do now to get me those items which is what I really wanted. So I called Panera and said here's what happened what do you guys do about that? Dude was so polite despite me probably sounding super upset. Once again the Panera La Quinta location fails miserably at the very basics. I went there at 9:08am. The line is at the door. One cashier. And basically out of every baked good, pastry and souffle.
