After 10 hours on the road we decided to stop at this Panera for a few Broccoli Cheddar bread bowls. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty. The small baguette was a little on the dry side , not surprising because it was late in the day. The staff was very friendly but what WAS surprising was their attention to cleanliness. I've NEVER before seen a restaurant clean the air vents on the ceiling! And the staff member undertook this job cheerfully and even stopped to say goodbye to us as we left. I ordered a Rapid Pickup on Wednesday, July 8th. The manager running expo saw me standing there for a couple of minutes (mind you, it's almost noon and they are busy) and inquired about my order. He didn't see it on his screen and asked if I accidentally ordered at another location. Sure enough I ordered from the Nashville location on accident! He was very helpful in getting me a new order and also offered to call the Panera in Nashville to get the other order canceled on my behalf. I always enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich, but this time it was a tasteless lump on bread. it certainly did not taste homemade! I ordered it with lettuce and added mayonnaise. I can't imagine how bad it would have been without mayo. My DIL said the tuna salad wasn't great either and a child's sandwich looked dry and unappetizing. I also tried the French Onion soup...it was horrible! This meal was a replacement for 6 orange scones I took home recently, only to discover they were underbaked and gummy. Managers went above and beyond on this reimbursement. Servers are polite and extremely patient. I watched one server cut 13 bagels in half for a lady! So, I decided to purchase a loaf of rustic sour dough bread, you can't go wrong with bread, right? Since it was a huge loaf, I asked the server to cut it in half, planned to share with DIL, I even made a chopping motion. I watched him put the bread in the slicer and then I watched him struggling to cut it in half length wise! Another server must have noticed the look on my face or maybe my mouth was hanging open, and he asked if he could help me, I sputtered, but, but, all I wanted was to have a loaf of bread cut in half. He got another loaf and cut it in half in the middle of the loaf. I still chuckle about this, but that was the best bread I've had in ages and toasted, it was even better! read more

I love the food at Panera: the Fuji apple salad, The Mediterranean egg white sandwich, the winter squash soup, a few of their sandwiches. It's all pretty darn good and a great place to meet with people in a comfy environment. This location in Jackson, TN I usually go to for Bagel packs for my doctors offices, but it's always hard to resist a quick bite for me too. read more

I am gluten free and Panera has good meal options for me. Now if they would just provide gluten-free cookie/muffin/pastry options....

We eat at a lot of Panera Breads and most are just wonderful. This one isn't. I'm not sure what is going on with PB's coffee. I usually like it because it is strong, but the last two restaurants I've been to I've been mystified as to why the coffee looks and tastes like dark water. They have even offer to make a new pot, but it's still watery. Not sure what's happening. They're cutting back on coffee grounds? I will stop ordering coffee until I check the appearance of it in the future. Hot water should be free. Although, the staff there was friendly and the food was good, the restaurant itself was in need of cleaning as was the restrooms. read more

With so many locations closed we were initially happy to find this location open. They had signs up everywhere touting their additional COVID related cleaning procedures for customer safety. Unfortunately, this location did not live up to normal excepted cleaning procedures let alone anything above and beyond. In our search for a clean table we gave up and settled for the least offensive and cleaned it ourselves. This was not at a busy time of day and they had customers but they were not busy. The order was wrong, the food was mediocre, and presentation was terrible. The bread was simply thrown into a bag with other items and a blueberry muffin was placed into a bag upside down,. Not very sanitary or appealing in any aspect. We will neither recommend, nor return to this location. read more

If you're wanting/needing curbside service, this is not your place. You can tap "I'm Here" on the confirmation email, even call and let them know... They will "tell" you they'll bring it out... but they don't. This is the second time I've had to go in to get my cold food after waiting 10-15 minutes on curbside. Nobody even noticed that I came in an exit door and got it. They weren't busy - it was a ghost town with only a couple guests seated in the restaurant (none at the register). You know, I like this place. The decor is nice and the food is always prepared well and tasty. The reason I cannot award more stars has everything to do with price. Seriously, for two adult soup/sandwich combos with sodas and two mac and cheese kids meals, we paid over $45. What in the world are they thinking? Ordered a tuna sandwich to be picked up curbside by my husband. He picked up my order, which ended up being completely wrong. No chips, no coffee, (which I paid for) just one sandwich that had a rotten tomato on it. It's just like everything else in Jackson, complete crap. read more

I haven't tried Panera in a while but somebody had a great picture of a salad, so I'm back. I just paid $7.59 for a half salad that is so small and barely peaks over the side of the little bowl it's in. Also they have no real silverware and are out of the baguette that comes with everything. Customer service was pleasant, and my baked treat is good, but I think it will be a while before I try them again so far away from St. Louis where they seem to be a more impressive dining experience. read more

Always stop in when passing through, usually a good experience. Always wonderful customer service from Grant when he is in. If you stop in and get Grant, you will be reminded of what customer service is all about and should be. My only issue is with the quality of some of the foods. I tried a breakfast sandwich for the first time and the egg to bread ratio was off. Too much egg to sour dough bread. Didn't help that the bread was stale. But normally my food experiences are good here. And based on nationwide experiences, that is saying plenty. read more

I want to give them a 3.5 but since that is not an option a 4 it is. As I have reviewed before I love and hate Panera. I finally tried their broth bowls. Just like their pasta it should be avoided. They are both items that I don't think they can execute well. The broth was really week and had no depth of flavor. The wontons had been sitting for a bit. They had that crunchy edges that pasta gets if it sits. Stick to their sandwhiches and soups and bakery offerings. My main complaint with this location is the cleanliness. It is 5.15 and they are not slammed but underneath all of the tables near the soda machine are crumbs and most of them are dirty. It just gives off an unclean feel. read more

Worst service I've ever had at a Panera. Staff was rude and extremely slow with no sense of urgency. The staff was incapable of thinking about more than one thing at a time. A bagel and iced coffee took almost 30 minutes, and I had to return the coffee twice due to chunks floating around in the drink. I got nothing but attitude about resolving the issue. Plenty of workers around not communicating about what needs to be done and a manager who never said a word to me as he handed me my third coffee after I waited 15 minutes for it (again). I really like Panera in general, but our Jackson location just disappoints. Not only are they often out of several things (I.e. They have been out of cream cheese for literally two months now.), but even what they do have, they often skimp on (not filling the bowl/cup/sandwich...). To add to frustration, the staff has a very laissez-fair attitude about their restraunt's shortcomings, and little effort is made to compensate or even apologize for those shortcomings. I decided to give Panera Bread a try and I somewhat am disappointed. I ordered soup, a sandwich, and it came with a baguette. The soup smelt pretty bad but it tasted decent I rather have a canned soup from the grocery store. The sandwich was pretty good the bread was not fresh it was hard which I don't appreciate and then the baguette was decent it tasted good but it was once again hard! If your name is "Panera Bread" then you are obviously known for bread but it shouldn't be stale cold bread! I paid like 10 dollars for all of this and it wasn't worth that whatsoever and the woman working there was supposed to give me 60 cents back but I had to ask her for it. I enjoy going to Panera, though I must say it's for the atmosphere and the friendly service, not necessarily the food. The sandwiches are pretty good, though nothing extra special for the price you pay. Personally the soups that I've tried there have been very underwhelming. It took forever for my buzzer to go off, I got my salad and it wasn't even 1/4th of a salad plus there was no chicken or dressing on the salad and the Apple chips were completely nasty and old!!!
