Where do I start? We waited for several minutes before we got to place our order, while the staff milled about doing apparently nothing. There was a line nearly to the door. Then the person who took order clearly did not want to be here. She could not even manage a smile. And then finally, our food came out fairly quickly, but was not good. There was six of us at around 6 PM on a Friday and we loved it. We had a great time atmosphere was casual and easy to get along with the server was awesome. The people behind the counter were great. I had a Reuben sandwich which is my favorite thing to get at McAllister's deli And it was awesome. Somebody else had a baked potato. It's a 1 pound potato. It's huge and she got everything that she asked for and I think she asked for everything but the kitchen sink iced tea is fantastic. I love the iced tea at McAllister's. I always do a mix of unsweet and sweet And I believe I had carrot cake for dessert and it was delicious. We were there for about 3 1/2 hours talking in Jaron and they took care of our table they cleaned the table up for us and they didn't mind us hanging out. It was a lot of fun. There was one person waiting in line before us, obviously a friend of a few people behind the counter, because we waited while she and the cashier chatted. When we finally got up to the counter to order, no warm greeting, no smile, horrible customer service, I didn't even feel welcome, no one appeared to be friendly or even tried to be, first time there, so we were a bit uncertain, I ordered a Reuben sandwich and Caesar Salad. My DIL ordered one of those huge potatoes. The cashier went to put in our order, stopped to chat with someone, left me standing there with money in my hand to pay for our food. I was really looking forward to the Reuben and it looked great, but it was extremely salty. I tasted each component separately...the corned beef wasn't overly salty, the sauerkraut wasn't salty, the bread wasn't nor the thousand island dressing! So was puzzled why the Reuben tasted so salty? The dill pickle was great! Tasted like an old fashioned deli dill pickle! The Caesar Salad had some limp lettuce pieces, adequate parm cheese, but no croutons. DIL got two very teeny tiny frozen cups of butter for that huge potato. The highlight of our meal was a nice older gentleman who was clearing tables. He was friendly and he made us feel welcome! I hope they appreciate him. read more

This is the most unprofessional establishment I've ever visited. I attempted to get coffee there today around 11am. I went in, myself and my brother were the only 2 in line. There were three people working and 2 behind the counter that were talking amongst themselves. We were never greeted until they finished their conversation. Then the one asked if I was ready. I said I've been ready. Then I asked if they had coffee and they didn't have anything made. I wouldn't have had to waste 12 mins waiting If they could have been bothered to greet us. The food is pretty good and sometimes the service is good but when the restaurant is busy at lunch, there is one lady in particular who seems to hate her job. She's always there and she is rude and acts like you're bothering her. I understand how busy and hectic working in a restaurant can be I've done it for a very long time and there is no need to treat A customer who is trying to be polite Like a dog. I don't require special treatment just common courtesy and this employee is always rude to me. I frequent this restaurant often because, not only to I enjoy a club sandwich but I am a delivery driver. The 3 star rating is for the good food and the male manager is very friendly and accommodating. McAllister's Deli has been our go-to eatery for a while now. Lately, though, it hasn't been such a pleasant experience. I think the owners have changed, and it doesn't appear that they have enough help. The tables are not being cleared and the food is sometimes not hot. We will still go there, though. We are moving across the country and decided to eat at this McAlister's despite some of the reviews. We ordered online through Yelp and arrived at the restaurant to find out that our order had been prepared but someone had accidentally picked it up! What a nice surprise! We had eaten here years ago, and neither loved nor hated it. We just never went back. Recently we stopped in at the beginning of a little trip, and the whole experience could not have been better. My Reuben sandwich was crammed with succulent corned beef and the sauerkraut, etc. were perfect tasty components. It was so huge I took half of it in a To Go box. The potato salad was really enjoyable as was the iced tea. The employees were so nice. One girl was a whirlwind cleaning, sweeping, washing, and she kept her area spotless. Kind of unusual these days. It turned out to set the standard for the rest of the trip, and helped us start out in really good moods. read more

Sandwich was disappointing though because although there was an ok amount of Turkey in the middle of the sandwich where they cut it there was none when you got halfway thru. Packaged nachos I ordered with MY chose two with my boyfriend's chose two. When I called to tell them this they argued with me. I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is not and his sandwich has meat on it. Why do they think vegetarians would want this measly order of Nachos covered in meat grease!? Working construction in the area. Been to the McAllisters in millington. Loved it. But this location need severe help. All employees are in competent of simply taking an order, making an order correctly, and making it in a timely fashion. Three days in a row wether packed or a ghost town inside took almost 40 mins to get our orders. And when I would bring up there was an issue I was given an attitude, and mumbles about quitting.... with every service provided in life there is a standard. Food is good at McAlister's in general. This location's service was slow and inefficient on our visit. We were traveling through and decided to order our food to-go ahead of time and then sit in the restaurant and eat since it was a Sunday lunch meal and expected to be busy. This was a good decision, as we placed our order 25 mins before we got to the restaurant, and upon arriving, we had to wait another 10 minutes on our order. It wasn't busy when we got to the restaurant around 12:00 but there were many people waiting on their food. I would not suggest this establishment if you are in a hurry, and if you can plan ahead to order to go (even if you plan to stay and eat) it may save you some time in line. Our order was mostly correct, with a few minor errors- forgetting a pickle, and putting lemons in our drinks when we specifically requested no lemons on the order. Came in at 2:30 on a Saturday and the place was not busy at all. We ordered two ham sandwiches and they were made with only meat on them. Nothing else. We took them back to the counter and asked for cheddar cheese and mayo. They seemed confused by the complexity of the request and in fact brought the sandwiches to the table 5 minutes later, plopped them down on the table without a word ....and again, the sandwiches were not prepared as we had requested. At this point we realized we were dealing with gross incompetence and an indifference that bordered on contempt. We decided to just eat them as they were rather than risk another episode of error and further delay. In short, this location sucks. Stopped by here while traveling with my husband to grab lunch and get back on the road. While my husband's salad and my sandwich were pretty standard, our soups were cold. When ordering and asking for a drink refill, the staff working the registers were not welcoming and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to their social time.
