I can't say enough good things about my lunch here today, 08/13/22. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by Joseph at the cash register. I knew exactly what I wanted and placed my order. Joseph was very kind and very polite. He has great customer service skills. He even included the amount of money that I gave him to pay my bill and told me how much my change was going to be before he ever gave it to me. I had long enough to fix my drink and sit down at my table before Jada brought me my order. The cook was Michael. My fries were hot and the food was delicious. There was also another young lady on duty at the time, but she was working back in the kitchen. Her name is Kansas. We are from California driving by and stopped here for lunch. Let me start by the employees super friendly and the restaurant is very clean which matters to us very much! It takes way to long. I get there is a labor shortage, but there were 4-5 folks working. There was not much urgency getting food out. They kept taking orders. The cook was doing one sandwich at a time then cleaning it all off like he had cooked 10. The grill is clearly big enough to have 2-3 orders going. I'm really impressed with the food here. The fries tasted soooo good. I got the Cajun Bleu fries and it was amazing. I also got a buffalo chicken sub and it was great. Loved the quality of chicken and it was more than enough chicken in my sub unlike other sub places where you take a bite and it's all bread. Great service. The manager was handing out the food to the customers which was nice. Fast service for the amount of people that ordered in front of me. Self service drinks with a LOT of selection. I received my order from here and everything was incorrect, so I called the location and said that it was wrong. Well the owner of this place immediately got aggressive with me and denied that it was wrong because "he made it" then hung up on me. They said my last name wrong and I corrected them, the assistant manager called my name wrong again purely out of disrespect. They called me again to let me know that they had remade it, even after I told them once I wasn't coming to get it because I live 35 minutes away. They were INCREDIBLY rude and aggressive to me over something they screwed up. Will never go here again, and unless you wish to get yelled at, I advise everyone to do the same. On Thursday night, April 14, 2022, my family and I decided to try Steak Escape for the first time. We checked the website to make sure that they were open since it was after 8:00 P.M. The Steak Escape website said that the store was open until 9:00 P.M. We ordered online. Food for 4. All went well ordering online. I paid by credit card. The order was 3 sandwiches and a bowl with fries. (Not a huge order) The order totaled $70. I received 2 emails from the store confirming the order, confirming receipt of payment, and giving a pick up time of 8:37 P.M. On arrival to the store, the "open" sign was still lit and the doors were open. I was told that they did not accept online orders after 8:30. My confirmation email was timed at 8:29. I asked if I could order there since I was in the store at 8:35. I was then told they don't accept ANY orders, online or otherwise, after 8:30. I asked why the website accepted orders, why it took my money, and why the "open" sign was still lit. They blamed the owner. I asked for a refund of my $70. They told me it would be 3-5 business days for the refund to occur. I was given the manager's cell to call. I called him. He also blamed the owner. I asked for the owner's name and cell. He refused. I later texted him a screen shot of the online confirmation from his store timed at 8:29. The manager, Cam, texted me back and told me to "grow the hell up." I also told him that the store taking money with no intention of completing the order and then keeping the money for 3-5 days might violate consumer protection laws. (I don't know if it does, but plan to check). Cam then said I was threatening him. Got home read Facebook reviews. There are scores of similarly negative reviews. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE if you are expecting good service. Terrible business practice. Unprofessional staff and manager, Cam, especially. This is my 2nd time here. We came in maybe a month ago and ordered 2 sandwiches to go. Got home to find out there was no cheese or sauce on the sandwich and there should have been. Luckily we had similar sauce at home. The meat was good though. Tonight I came in. Long line, no problem I can wait. The woman at the register who is pictured is just plain rude. On the receipt her name is "Cashier R". She greeted everyone in front of me... except me. She just looked at me blank in the face. The customer in front of me was standing just next to the register. How am I supposed to know she was ready for me if you can't even greet your customers . So I asked if she was ready. I don't know if she doesn't understand English but she still just starred. There was an older woman next to her who also starred. Has tattoos all over her neck. Looks like she just came in from her smoke break. Real professional. Working with food and not wearing a hair net or a hat. Prob spit in my food. Worst experience so far. Doubt I'll be back.
