It's been awhile since we've been here. We liked it before, although the prices were quite high, and decided to go look around today since we were at The Lift. Problem is there was a sign on the main front door to not enter into the front door like you used to but go to the south entrance. So we drove around the back and didn't see any close parking and easy way to get in for 2 people who use wheelchairs. Oh well. Just can't understand why a business would close off their main door and easy access for people especially the disabled. read more

Great little organic/healthy grocery store with options for just about anything you could want, from beer to hemp tampons to dog food to essential oils to grab-n-go soup and salad. However, it's so expensive, so come here if you're already a shopper at, say, Whole Foods, because this is a smaller version of that. Things I've bought here: Mead wine, 55% bar of chocolate, protein shakes, and bars. Some things are worth it! They frequently have samples of items like granola and whole wheat crackers. Worth a walk around and a splurge every now and then. read more

Jackson does not have anything like this except for this store. If you live in a larger city, this is similar to Whole Foods as far as platform and pricing. It is not cheap, but you are also not going to get some things you wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. For example, you're able to find a lot of unique offerings for specialty wines, cheeses, CBD oil for your pets and other local promoted items from around West Tennessee. I like that they are always promoting local and have somewhere I can get something that from when I am visiting my family in town. It is a healthy/organic grocery store that literally has zero competition. They are perfectly located and do quite well by their clientele base. I really like vibe of the place and how friendly the customer service associates are. You have the option of getting food to-go, from a butcher, and this is a full service grocery store. Worth visiting if you want a change from Kroger. read more

Just moved here from a major metropolitan area two years ago, so I was missing places like Publix, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. So Grubbs was the only thing available outside of Kroger and Food Giant. The hot food looked pretty tasty and fresh. However, the place was MUCH smaller than it looked from the outside. Not a lot of selection. The speck of a produce department didn't have much, and wasn't too fresh - wilted lettuce and dirty discouraged looking carrots for example. You're better off waiting until Saturday for the West Tennessee Farmer's Market two blocks over. The prices were astonishingly high, even for a specialty food store. Yeah, they had organic this and that, and vegan cosmetics, and essential oils and a few snacks, but nothing of much rarity. The store has maybe five aisles, maybe 20 feet long. The employees did not seem to enjoy their work. They were unsmiling, unfriendly, and disinterested in everything going on around them. Jackson desperately needs at the very least a Trader Joe's. How about one in that empty shopping center across from the mall? It would really revitalize that part of town that so desperately needs it. read more

I was expecting a more varied selection of curated goods and was a little disappointed after having relied on the social media platform. I was in search of gluten & dairy free products for baking cookies, and I found everything here! I walked over from the Lift and found some gluten-free cookie mix and vegan butter. They have a ton more things that you can't find anywhere else in Jackson. Even Kroger. I really want to try their food and smoothies next time. They even have vegan homemade cookies at the front. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in the lot. There aren't tables inside, so you may have to get food to go if it's too cold to eat outside. read more

A bit pricey, but I'm willing to pay, since there is no place like this in the area. I like the bulk items, where you bag as much or as little as you want. I like to try new grains, nuts, etc. So enjoy being able to just buy a handful to try at home. LOVE their prepared foods. Salmon is excellent. Chicken salad is superb. The number one place for gluten-free groceries in Jackson. They are always getting in new and unique foods to try and always stocked full with fresh produce. They can even order specific items upon your request! Not only do they have a store covering multiple dietary needs, but they also have a sandwich, smoothie, and wrap station with gluten-free bread and tortilla options. And, even if you don't choose to buy anything (though I doubt you will want to leave without), the people are always helpful and welcoming. read more

Love the selection of take home prepared foods and groceries. Their chicken salad wrap is amazing. I picked one up on lunch. I shop here for most of my groceries. It is great to have organic and lots of choices. You can also buy spices and such in bulk. read more

This place is an oasis in Jackson! It is not as easy in Jackson as it is in Nashville and other big cities to find natural, organic food. Everything here tastes fresh. It's the place I come to try new things because I know that whatever I pull off the shelf will be delicious. It's also a great resource for people trying to cut down on meat consumption. I also come here to recycle. They have two large bins in the back and will let you drop off your plastic and cardboard if you ask. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. I would love to see this place take off in Jackson, there is no other store like it in the area. It's a little pricey, but with good reason. You get what you pay for! read more

So very grateful that this place exists! Locally produced food and tons of amazing organic and natural items that you are unable to buy in stores. Had to move to Jackson, TN for a while with my boyfriend for a job. Grubb's is without a doubt one of the best parts about moving to this city. I came to Jackson to teach a cooking class at the Lift Wellness Center. Grubbs is close by, and I was told I might be able to buy some ingredients from them. As it turned out, I sent them a shopping list and they pulled everything before I got to town. They also did a lot of cutting and chopping for me. This place unfortunately doesn't stack up next to the owner's sister store Turnip Truck in Nashville. The bulk bins consist of 25% candy and lack basic health food items such as nutritional yeast. The lack of vegetarian/vegan options in the prepared foods cooler has also been disappointing. My wife and I are underwhelmed thus far but hopefully the selection improves. read more
