Stopped by on my way in from Memphis. Menu is on the board and you walk up and order and they bring it out to you. Diverse menu from salads to plate lunch specials of the day and ice cream and great coffee. Also breakfast is served all day. I had the Big BLT and it lived up to its name. The cashier recommended ditching the mustard so I did. It was delicious and the large thick sliced bacon was great. The French fries were also the bomb. I also tried the fruity sweet tea. Interesting! It was something that grew on you. At first it was a no but then after the flavors all mixed it was wow I could go for another but didn't. Service was very good and the cashier was supper friendly and knowledgeable. Neat decor probably aimed at younger folks. There is a fireplace and a counter where cole age folks were playing checkers. Needed WiFi so we went to Green Frog for breakfast and coffee. I forgot to get pictures but I had a hot dirty snowman. It was fantastic!! It was creamy with bold flavors. I also had a breakfast meal deal with over medium eggs and toast. The hasbrown patty was crispy. The bacon was crispy. The eggs were cooked perfectly. It was good food for an incredible price. They brought the food and drinks to our table. Everyone was super friendly. read more

Great coffee, noted in another review, drew us in for breakfast. We agree, the coffee was excellent. We also like the breakfast concept of "create you own". The basic cheese omelette comes with toast or biscuit. I added fresh baby spinach while Schweety added steak and green peppers. Service was slow. Waited at counter to order for several minutes. Had to bus my own table from the previous group. I checked on my drink after about 5 minutes. Had to wait around again for them to notice me. Claimed their computer was out but they had my order and just didn't make it until I went back up to ask about it. Never apologized for the wait. Not friendly. I was there for about 45 minutes and no one ever picked up those dishes I put on another table. I like to patronize local businesses, but they need to do their part to earn my business. The food specially the soups are fantastic. Everyone is so friendly and food is served pretty fast. Place is very cozy and relaxed. Espresso is fantastic. My only complaint is about the soda size. I ordered the medium soda for $2.20 and i was pretty surprised when I got the cup and how small it was. It looked a kids soda not a medium adult size soda. We will be going back for sure. read more

It's almost as if they don't want any earlier action between their employees and guests, order through a kiosk and they will deliver your table. I only got a coffee and a biscuit and it took 20 minutes. I was expecting a cozy coffee house and it was more like a Denny's. Plenty of offerings at this place. We opted for omelette a with a side of fried green tomatoes. My veggie omelette lacked flavor -- could have used some spice or hot sauce. The toast was over toasted and when I asked for jelly, it came in a squeeze pack like you would get fast food ketchup in. I thought the fried green tomatoes were over breaded and over fried, but my husband enjoyed them. He was also happy with his sausage and cheese omelette. All in all, pretty average. read more

Just ate at the Green Frog in South Jackson, I'm impressed. We came to get a Healthy salad after working out. Everyone was friendly and the place was very clean. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and husband had the sweet southern salad . Both salads were absolutely delish. The price for the salads was really reasonable too at$8 . The chicken in our salads was flavourful and warm which we both liked. Give this place a whirl if you are looking for something fresh, healthy and tasty. We will be back, probably tomorrow,lol. Great breakfast for travelers! We were passing through Jackson and needed a place for breakfast that wasn't "fast food" or "greasy spoon" variety. Our order was correct, they fried my bacon until it was done like I asked! That doesn't sound like much but most places say yeah ok, then you get limp bacon. I had high hopes for this place since Jackson doesn't have very many non-chain coffee shops. At the counter, I ordered a caramel macchiato and asked what they recommended to eat. Without much conviction, the omelets were recommended, so I ordered the western omelet. The food was out from the kitchen fast (less than 5 mins I'd say). The coffee was not bad. On par or slightly worse than your standard Starbucks. The food was pretty good. The ham was not deli ham the veggies were fresh and the overall taste was very good. The biscuits reminded me of Hardey's, just on the border of too salty but very tastey with some jam. I intended to spend my time here studying after breakfast. As a study spot, this place gets -4 stars. read more

The food is good, but my favorite is the chicken salad on a croissant. The other foods look good but I haven't tried them yet. Service is a little slow but not bad and the restaurant is always clean. I love this place! I stop every time I am here. They have Monin syrups if you want a flavored latte and they make great americanos. The food is also excellent. Happy to have found an independent coffee shop while driving through, but ultimately the service was indifferent, my Americano was very weak, and while the place had some cozy elements, the laminate table tops and vinyl seating made it feel as though some corners were cut in setting this establishment up. Also, I feel it needs to decide whether it wants to be a restaurant or a coffee shop. It bills itself as the latter, but there's a pretty extensive menu (including full plated meals), giving it a family restaurant vibe that detracts from its coffee shop coziness. read more

You would look at this place & just think coffee. This place isn't just coffee. It has it all. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh. You get nice portion sizes as well. I have had various smoothies & parfaits fresh fruit always included. I can't say enough about getting what you pay for. They have weekly specials as I have been aiming to try the chicken-n-dressing as I haven't had a chance too but i hope to try it soon. Price wise it is a little pricey but that's everything now days. Ordered the frappe with hazelnut, really can't taste any espresso, that part was a little disappointing but a lot of places are like that. I wish I would have asked for an extra shot of espresso. I had the fricken biscuit, the biscuit was nice and tender but unfortunately the fried pickles made the bottom biscuit soggy and it disintegrated before I could finish it.
