Note: I usually give chains 3-stars unless there are other factors that would make me rate it up or down because chains tend to be standardized. "Panera is just glamourized prison food" yeah well when I saw an ad for their baguette sandwiches I had to run and get one. WOW. I forget that Panera has some great breads. And awesome hazelnut coffee. This location is clean and great for studying. Plush seats in some spots, cozy booths in others. And yes you can refill your coffee no one is gonna say anything to you. Service is fine. It's a casual eatery what do you expect

I had a delicious breakfast at Panera Bread today. The employee taking our order was patient, informative and nice. Everything was clean and the restaurant was quiet and not crowded. Will definitely go back.

    Chicken chipotle breakfast wrap

I always come here for when my kids want something and I don't want to cook. Love the variety of healthy options. The kids always get the cheddar broccoli soup and chicken noodle soup bowls and share them. I love that I'm accumulating points and every few weeks I get something for free or a discount. So I never got any of their breakfast sandwiches and I won't a free one, I asked the server what's the most popular breakfast sandwich and he said the chicken Chipotle wrap so I got it. Oh my!!! It was sooo good, I'm glad I know about it now. The wrap itself was so good, then the stuffing was amazing. Chipotle dressing , chicken avocados red bell peppers and spinach. Definitely coming again for it. Note that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. I love Panera.

Panera Bread is a sandwich joint with pastries and cookies. Unfortunately, I tried chicken pasta and sundried tomato chowder and that probably wasn't the thing to order here. My friend tried turkey sandwich and he said that it was good. Next time, I need to try a sandwich. They have lots of pastries and cookies here and nice selection of coffee too. This particular location has a self-serve coffee station with porcelain mugs. It's good to see that people still have trust in others. Free parking is available right in the front of the store.

French onion soup in a bread bowl

I mean, it's still Panera...but that being said, definitely one of the cleaner and nicer outposts of the franchise. They have two kiosks for ordering in addition to the counter, and are always super fast bringing out food. You're given a pager-type device which is placed on your table, and that's how they know where to bring your food. My go-to is the French onion soup in a bread bowl. Sometimes at other Panera franchises I'll find that they aren't great about taking enough of the bread out of the bread bowl so I'll end up with like three bites of soup, but they were great about it here. The bread always tastes fresh and there's always an ample selection of baked goods. There's one manager or something, too, who is always running around working so hard and asking customers who are done eating if she can take their garbage or plates. It's little touches like this that can turn your typical fast-casual experience into something at least a little nicer. Extremely clean on the inside with plenty of seating. Also a good amount of parking outside as well. Wait can be a little long on occasion as they do get some sports teams/prom groups/etc from the high schools in the area as well as Cornell and IC, obviously, but the line usually moves pretty quickly.

    Fruit "cup"

Ordered a bagel and a fruit cup. Cup was barely half-full so I asked if that was right. Worker filling orders didn't look up. When I pressed, without saying a word she went to the fridge and slammed down a second fruit cup, snapping, "Well this is how they all are all so I guess you can have this." Rude rude rude. And fruit "cup" is half a cup max.

I had a good experience here for the most part! I went twice during my trip. I enjoyed the gluten…read morefree toast and bagels and got an egg and cheese one day, and a scallion cream cheese and cucumber the next. The coffee is also delicious and didn't even need a flavor added. The man taking our orders the first day was also incredibly kind and you could tell he just enjoyed his job, or at least was happy to be there. There's also a mini shop here basically. There's fresh bread and prepackaged meals here like Shepards pie and fruits and veggies. There also was plenty of cute merch and I left with two designs. Two things that I didn't like. Ordering was a bit chaotic. There are labeled areas that show where to order what, but if it's your first time in it can feel overwhelming and you might be wandering a bit figuring it out. I wish it could all be ordered at one spot, not like it's a food hall. I understand that this probably does work the best for them though and is most likely pretty easy for ordering if you're a local. Lastly, I had an issue with a woman working the second day. They have a big menu and I was looking at it above her head while ordering. She was fine while I was talking, but stopped me when I went to walk away. She said "You know, you really need to face people while you're talking to them." What! So awkward and weird. That's the main reason I took one star off because it caused me not to go back again. Very rude and felt like a mini lecture for no reason.

We're not local but we've visted before and really enjoyed the stop. Being in the area, frequenting…read morethe State Theatre, and listening to good music we needed morning refreshments and immediately thought "Baked in Ithaca". This visit we got coffee, breakfast sandwiches and various baked goods. The restaurant was busy and hopping with activity on a Sunday morning around 9AM. The parking lot was full but there was street parking around the business. There was also plenty of seating for us to find some room to eat in comfort. You order food at one counter but you pay at the other counter? All food is delivered to the "pay" counter. Service was fast, even with the crowd, the breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the coffee was dark (which we love) and the baked goods didn't last long. We got a cinnamon coffee cake and a loaf of bread that were huge hits. "Baked in Ithaca" - what a slogan!
