I think that's called the Washington Park neighborhood, or west-Downtown. For pickup, we parked on Meadow. To eat in, there's a pretty large parking lot on Court Street. We saw what looked like more than 40 pastries in the display case, more than 15 bagel varieties, smoothies, teas, lemonade, and a host of creative coffee beverages. Of course, i got an espresso, neat. Rich, dense, dark, hot, perfectly drawn. And a regular Americano with oat milk. Fresh and tasty. Got a generously decorated well-crisped BLT to-go. We split that enormous blueberry, strawberry, kiwi tart. I wont even tell you what we added on top, but i'll say it was nearly next door ;-) Quick friendly service. I had a good experience here for the most part! I went twice during my trip. I enjoyed the gluten free toast and bagels and got an egg and cheese one day, and a scallion cream cheese and cucumber the next. The coffee is also delicious and didn't even need a flavor added. The man taking our orders the first day was also incredibly kind and you could tell he just enjoyed his job, or at least was happy to be there. There's also a mini shop here basically. There's fresh bread and prepackaged meals here like Shepards pie and fruits and veggies. There also was plenty of cute merch and I left with two designs. Two things that I didn't like. Ordering was a bit chaotic. There are labeled areas that show where to order what, but if it's your first time in it can feel overwhelming and you might be wandering a bit figuring it out. I wish it could all be ordered at one spot, not like it's a food hall. I understand that this probably does work the best for them though and is most likely pretty easy for ordering if you're a local. Lastly, I had an issue with a woman working the second day. They have a big menu and I was looking at it above her head while ordering. She was fine while I was talking, but stopped me when I went to walk away. She said "You know, you really need to face people while you're talking to them." What! So awkward and weird. That's the main reason I took one star off because it caused me not to go back again. Nice place with a ton of options. Both made to order and grab and go. They have a couple of different ordering areas based on what you're getting. You then get a receipt to take up front, along with any grab and go items you're also getting, and pay and wait for the order to be completed. They were fairly busy but the wait wasn't long for my Cuban. Cuban was good, used pulled pork although I prefer sliced on a Cuban, but that's personal preference and not a quality issue. They have beer available, the can selection was pretty good based on my quick look, it was still early in the day so I didn't get any. read more

Walking inside was incredibly overwhelming and crowded but the staff were very helpful and friendly. I got a sandwich that tasted mediocre and was definitely not worth the price and the matcha I got was worse then the ones I make at home, it was supposed to be a strawberry shortcake matcha but it just tasted like milk with the weakest hint of matcha. We're not local but we've visted before and really enjoyed the stop. Being in the area, frequenting the State Theatre, and listening to good music we needed morning refreshments and immediately thought "Baked in Ithaca". This visit we got coffee, breakfast sandwiches and various baked goods. The restaurant was busy and hopping with activity on a Sunday morning around 9AM. The parking lot was full but there was street parking around the business. There was also plenty of seating for us to find some room to eat in comfort. You order food at one counter but you pay at the other counter? All food is delivered to the "pay" counter. Service was fast, even with the crowd, the breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the coffee was dark (which we love) and the baked goods didn't last long. Visiting family in Ithaca and our one must do's on this trip was to eat Ny style deli. Upon entering you have a deli feel with an urban vibe, could it be the wine bar! This bakery/restaurant has a counter where you order your food and bakery items. There is a separate counter for the adorable wine bar and other deli items. Everyone behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered the Renwick Rueben, it was wrapped in foil and I loved that touch. Let us not forget that the name of this restaurant has bakery in its name. I went crazy and ordered cannoli's, cookies and an eclair. The lady next to me ordered an eclair, because it was "National Eclair Day". This eclair was fantastic. I live in Florida where I have never had a good one, the inside part is always stale, but this eclair was fresh and tasted incredible. I will say this is hands down the best item here. This place was great to grab a quick lunch after the science museum. I got soup and a panini and my son got a peanut butter bagel. We had a group of 6 and it is a little tight in there and the tables are mostly only for two people. It was also confusing when you came in as you ordered one place and then paid another place. I'm sure if you have been before it's easy to figure out but for a first timer it was a little overwhelming and confusing. Nothing bad to say about the food however. So good. read more

I guess a trip to Ithaca isn't complete without stopping at Ithaca Bakery. My husband is down here quite a bit for work and said it's one of his favorite places. He usually grab lunch here or sweet treats for us. There's two sides one for sandwiches and the other side for pastries, coffee/drinks. We grab a few things to bring over to a family member house(they loved the vegan bars we bought for them). My oldest loved the donut shaped cake(chocolate cake with I think chocolate ganache in the middle?). Everything else was delicious, I loved the maple iced latte. The service was quick and friendly. There's good amount of seating indoors and outdoors. We'll definitely stop by again whenever we're in town. read more

We visited two times during our 3 day visit (we visited both locations)- the North Meadow Street location is much larger than the Triphammer (and apparently serves beer as well! We saw a nice looking bar counter with a lot of local offerings) We came in for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and it was bustling- you may need to circle around a few times to find a table. You'll line up at the a different counter to order your sandwich/meal, and then line up in the main cash register line to pay. Line to pay can be a little long/hectic but it moved quickly. I got the Huevos Sonora wrap (includes egg, avocado, salsa and cheddar cheese in a wrap) and my husband got the Round House bagel (egg/bacon/sausage/HASH BROWN/pepper jack cheese, all jammed into a rosemary salt bagel). My wrap was what you would expect, but I was impressed by the Round House- literally there is just a hash brown just hanging out in this humongous bagel sandwich. What impressed me the most was the quality of their baked goods- we got some goodies for our trip back home- we got a sticky bun, a chocolate hazelnut babka and a cheddar leek scone, and all were delicious! You get a lot of bang for your buck as well. read more

Someone in the office wanted to order breakfast so I decided to try this bakery. The DoorDash order came super quick and I was not disappointed! I ordered some type of apple pastry. I put it in the microwave for about 12 seconds and it was divine! The crust was light and so crispy/flaky and it had just the right amount of apple filling. Will definitely order again and again. Awesome place with even better bagels! I go here all the time and like to mix it up, so I've tried a lot of options, and they are all top notch. The bagels are soft on the inside, but have a nice crisp on the outside. Their menu options all tend to be a nice combination of flavors. I personally love the steak & eggs, really good roast beef! The ordering system is a cool experience. Service and wait time is honestly depending on what you order. I had instances where I order a cc bagel, and had my order within 2 minutes, and other times where I get steak and eggs, which takes closer to 5-7 minutes. All reasonable wait times, and I never seemed to mind. Now about the decor, it's old school with a modern-ish feel! I love the style and layout of it. read more

The line moved quickly, that's one star. The cinnamon roll thing was disgusting though. The frosting was soft and oozing and tasted of, I think, coconut. Was it coconut oil? We stopped here while on vacation to use the bathrooms after a long drive. The place was busy even at 3 in the afternoon on a weekday. The two bathrooms were not that nice and defy could use a cleaning. Also the dining area was snug and messy with food on the floors ect. A solid bakery to stop into for a quick bite. I grabbed my tried & true: lox on a bagel. It was piled high with fresh ingredients, all of which tasted great. I wish the lox hadn't been so thin though and that the rosemary salt bagel had smaller granules of salt. This is me being picky! Came back yesterday and lived our lunch so much...we came back for dinner! Food at ithaca bakery is fantastic. There is a huge breakfast menu, lunch sandwich/wrap/pannini menu, and the counter of bakery items is amazing. Let's see- wife and I and two teenage sons tried a lot yesterday, including the Verde chicken, bbq,Italian, and Zab's turkey avacado. Dinner was the Milanese, Cuban, huevos rancheros, and Ryan's breakfast sandwich. All sandwiches were tasty- and breads were outstanding- but some of the sandwiches could have used more protein, more meat, more...stuff. Coffee was great, baked goods were fantatsic, and the Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls were so good #2 son ordered twice. Each order came to $70. Not cheap, but everyone was really happy with the foods!
