Customer service could improve. I had a mobile order -drink, and a scone. No one greeted me at the window. Nobody even registered. I was here. What in the world is going on? So when she finally does come to the window, she asked me for $33 for this massive bag which is not my order. I told her that wasn't my order and she handed it to me and her excuse was oh we're going through a rush right now there are two cars in the parking lot. Ok, I started a review a few months ago and never completed it. It wasn't going to be a good one because the employees here were very indifferent to customers. That being said, they must've gotten rid of those employees because the last few weeks the employees currently have been more than pleasant and it's been a joy to go here. The only issue I really have is I normally order iced tea. I've been to dozens and dozens of locations and the tea is always clear. If you know, you know. But here, it's always cloudy and murky, almost gross. But it tastes ok. So who knows. Anyway, glad they've improved on their attitudes and customer service. Bravo! read more

Food was good. The lack of any real service was not. Self serve kiosks are killing jobs. Stop using these things. People need jobs to make a living. Computers don't have bills to pay. Also missing out on up selling and selling other pastries and dessert. No one at the counter to order so we had to use the computer. We won't be back because of this. We ordered our meals after scrolling thru many screens. At the end when you pay it asks if you want to leave a tip? I put my order in. I got my own drink. I went it the window to pick up my order,. My first time at this location but panera is very consistent across the board. Their spinach artichoke soufflé was fresh and flavorful. I got the cinnamon crunch latte loaded with whip cream and actual cinnamon crunch. It was delicious. The place was pretty clean could have been a little better at 9am but deffinately not dirty. Salt was down on the sidewalks, location and parking was easy to access. I always order ahead of time on the app. It's the quickest and easiest food app I use. The food is always ready on time. Order always correct. I get frequent rewards. I love Panera and their lean food. I never use the St******* place. read more

I have to be at work at 6am. This is one of the few places that opens at 5. From the 3 times I have been the the 1st was fine no issue, 2nd doors were locked and come in the drive thru and 3rd was told that actually don't open til 6. My suggestion is to change your advertised open time. read more

Panera Bread has always been my go to place for lunch or dinner. It is a great comfort food place as well. I decided to get some dinner through Uber Eats one night. I ordered the chicken noodle soup, the Margherita pizza with a fruit cup side, a lemon drop cookie, and the Passion Papya Iced Green Tea. I was disappointed with the pizza because it was ice cold when I received it. It does give directions on the box to reheat the pizza in the oven, but the pizza should have already been hot and warm when it was delivered to me. I went ahead and ate it because I was hungry. It was OK, but not that great. The soup was great, the fruit cup was fresh, and the cookie was delicious. The green tea was refreshing as well. Panera Bread has always had a special place in my heart because my late mother loved Panera Bread. We would always go to Panera Bread for lunch or dinner as a family. I have fond memories of Panera Bread with my mother, so that is one reason why I enjoy Panera Bread very much. They did miss the mark with the Margherita pizza this time around, but other than that, everything was great. The rewards program with Panera Bread is wonderful as well, because you do get great perks with the amount of visits and time spent in Panera Bread. You get a free entree on your birthday or a free dessert, depending on what you desire. Panera Bread is an excellent restaurant for soups and sandwiches, and the bakery products are fresh and of high quality. The customer service is always on point, and never disappoints when I go in for a meal. You will never see me complain about Panera Bread because it always puts a smile on my face. I needed to serve some food for a morning business meeting and I needed it to be easy. Panera to the rescue. I opened the app, ordered and it was all there waiting for me 10 minutes later. I really do want to be a fan of Panera. However each time I have tried Panera it seems that it keeps getting worse. To start Panera no longer sells sausage for breakfast which is fine. However I expect more than one half piece of bacon on a Sandwich. (See attached). Then I went with the yogurt parfait which was $4.19 which would be appropriate for a kids meal of that was an option. The ever changing menu, lack of idea of what consumers want and raising prices will keep me from going back to Panera. read more

The office I work at orders Panera a lot, and I usually do the ordering for the group. The last time we ordered from this restaurant, it was for 6 employees. We used Door Dash, I tipped both the driver and the cafe well, but once we opened the bag that was very neatly packed, we noticed we were missing a sandwich. There were two of us that wanted to try to spicy chicken sandwiches, and one that wanted to try the regular chicken sandwich. Three total. The regular chicken sandwich was MIA. Honestly, I wasn't worried. I have worked for Panera before and happened to assume that it would be taken care of somehow. I was not expecting to go back and forth with the woman on the phone who packed the bag. She let me know she "packed the bag herself" (many times) and she told me how she packed the bag, which was packed exactly the way she described........... except we were missing a sandwich. She went on talking about how she doubted DoorDash stole the sandwich "but crazier things happen." She then proceeded to tell me she "didn't know what to tell me," and again, that she "packed the bag herself".... (Is she calling me a liar? Or blind?.......) So being the person in charge of ordering lunch for the office, I was in a very odd spot. After nothing being put in place to correct the situation I was in with this missing sandwich, I told the Panera employee "uh okay, i guess I'll just let my boss know then, thanks." Literally I didn't know what else to do and was not offered a solution. The employee who was missing the sandwich was new to our office. I let me supervisor know that we were missing a sandwich and that her lunch would need to be rearranged, as we were not offered a refund, or a new sandwich. My supervisor called the cafe and spoke with Amari, who completely fixed the problem in the true Panera fashion that I know well and have used many times before. I would have happily went to pick up the sandwich, but they got DoorDash back and we were delivered the sandwich with a bonus cookie. Amari was super helpful and didn't question, just worked with us to solve the problem. I would have been proud to have Amari as a coworker back in my Panera days and re-established the reasoning of why I love Panera. This location gets 2 stars for the unexpected and unnecessary problems we encountered, but because Amari was there to correct the issue, she gets a whole star to herself. Thanks for saving the day and not making me look bad to the new girl who was just trying to eat with the rest of us! read more

Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

After several years at the corner of 82nd & Allisonville Road, Panera within the last few days shut down that location in favor of a brand new location on the site of the former Don Pablo's/Morty's Comedy Joint. My guess is that this new location, which involved demolishing the Don Pablo's, Mexican-tinged building in favor of a new, contemporary design, allowed Panera to better live into its recent initiatives including a drive-thru, delivery, kiosk ordering within the restaurant, and a much more contemporary design. Despite not being particularly impressed by the simplicity of the exterior design as the new building went up, I'm a longtime Panera fan who anxiously awaited this new restaurant's completion and opening. Today, only within a few days of its grand opening, I had a chance to experience this brand new Panera's location. I hated it. Seriously. While accessible parking is right out front and the curb cuts certainly meet standards, I arrived to sidewalks that hadn't been salted and curb cuts that hadn't been cleared. I watched as multiple older customers walked gingerly into the restaurant. While I didn't see anyone fall, it was an accident waiting to happen and unfathomable neglect - especially for a brand spanking new restaurant. As you enter, there's no real signage indicating how things work now. There's a row of 3-4 kiosks right near the door where you can enter your order. Thus, I suppose, you don't have to deal with employees (but you'll sure be asked if you want to tip them. WTF?) Not realizing the kiosks were there, I went up to the counter and at least my order was taken there. I was also impressed that the young man noted a reward on my reward club card. So, that's definitely a plus. Per the usual, you order and then there's a separate area where you pick up your food once the buzzer goes off. My buzzer never went off. I just happened to hear someone call my name and went to check on it. Panera has always been a place you can easily relax and enjoy a rather quiet, dimly lit atmosphere where you can hang with friends, study, meet or whatever. This Panera, on the other hand, has large windows and there's nothing resembling intimacy. I'm guessing 75-80% of the dining area is not wheelchair friendly. Quite honestly, whoever designed it should be unemployed. It's abysmal that in 2019 that a design like this one could get approved. I would almost call it a fire hazard, though if you hang toward the front you should be fine. The majority of the tables are either booths are high-top tables. There's one large table off to the right when you enter that is right in the middle of the row - if you were in a large chair, you'd block everyone. There's one designated accessible table to the left that actually doesn't leave room for a wheelchair. It's incredibly poor design. The aisle is also incredibly cramped, foregoing the usual Panera comfort in favor of a sleek design that compromises comfort. There are some other potential spaces, though the most obvious are toward the back where I had safety concerns due to the poor spacing and narrow aisles. The beverage counter is in the middle - between the ordering areas and the dining areas, a potentially good idea that works poorly if you're in a wheelchair because it means you get easily jostled and the area gets congested. It was already happening as I started to leave. I also noted that the trash area was in an awkward place off to the right where you have to brush by people sitting at tables. It's incredibly tight spacing and, again, certainly not wheelchair friendly. The food was up to the usual Panera standard - I ordered a classic grilled cheese with my usual large drink, chips, and I had a free pastry reward. I was impressed to note that they donate their left over baked goods each night to local organizations. The employees were decent enough - not quite at the hospitality level of some locations, but nothing to be bothered by. Overall, I found myself stunningly disappointed by this more high-tech, less personal and poorly designed Panera. With multiple Panera options in the area, it's safe to say that I won't be back to this one and if in the area would easily choose one of the other nearby options. While I could potentially go a 3-star rating here, for a chain that professes to be concerned about the wellness of its customers I can't help but be disappointed that this entire location wasn't better thought out and designed. Thus, I'm marking it as below average at 2 stars. read more

I've mobile ordered twice from this location. The first time, they gave my food to the wrong person and I had to argue with them to get them to make it again. The second time was this past Sunday. I ordered a soup in a bread bowl. Got home and there was no bread bowl, just a tiny cup of soup and a little apple. There are much better options out there.. I won't be back. read more

We placed a catering order for pickup at this location. What their useless customer service staff didn't tell us is that catering is handled at another location. So after a 4h bus ride we arrived and this location had no clue what we were talking about. Only after 10 mins did they tell us catering is only handled at a different location and so we had to travel 20 mins in the opposite location. Even though the number you call for catering takes you to this store. We ditched the food so we could make it to our destination (and game time) in time.
