I'm officially done with Panera. My Asian salad stuffer was mediocre at best. Dry (underdressed) & mostly lettuce & wonton. Didn't see or taste any sesame seeds or cilantro. I did taste the very few red onions. The balsamic greens stuffer had feta, when I put no cheese. Ingredients slightly better. Tasted the pepperoncinis. There must be a red onion shortage, didn't taste any. Again miniscule dressing. Avocado, non-existent. Idc how many coupons they send me. Publix is a way better option taste & price wise. Nothing is cheap. 3.25 for a small coffee is ok, but it is not ok to have to clean the table, you have no fresh coffee, coffee needed to be microwaved and you didn't even have clean plates. Great place for a good meal This restaurant is located in the shopping center on the corner of South Patrick Drive and Eau Gallie blvd. There is plenty of parking since it shares the lot with numerous businesses. This location has a drive through and dine-in options. You order at the counter and then pick up the food at the end of the counter when it is ready. The staff was very pleasant although it was a little hard to understand with the covid glass shield and employee mask. I have been to this location many times both in the drive-through and the dine-in parts and have always enjoyed the food. The food was prepared quickly and is offered for pick up on real plates with silverware. Once again the staff was very pleasant at the pickup counter. There are several places to eat both inside and outside the building. The inside of the restaurant is very nicely appointed. There were tables left uncleaned for the entire time I was there and the prices are a little high but overall, with the quality of food and the pleasant staff, it is well worth the visit. It's understandable why this location is only rated as it is. I've stopped in several times while living here over the last year and have experienced average service at best. This seems far from aligning with Mr. Covelli's intentions. Frankly, I eat at Panera a LOT and in general am finding the service to be less and less acceptable... When I got home, I learned there was an abundance of feta cheese on the sandwich. AND... a piece of bacon. So in addition to concerns of whether or not I can trust that their staff will properly prepare food, I'm further concerned about cross contamination. Allergies are a real thing! As a business owner myself, I really prefer when a client let's us know directly when we don't hit the mark. No one is perfect. I get it. When I attempted to call the store and asked for the manager, I was asked who was calling and I said a customer. Over eleven minutes later I decided a public post may get better results than a discussion with a manager at an unknown time. Mr. Covelli, I want to invite you to look very deeply into your employee satisfaction. I have friends who worked for locations in Columbus and it was made very clear that even as managers, they feel under paid. Guest satisfaction starts with you, sir. Guest satisfaction is a direct result of employee satisfaction. So when I see a boy runing into a store (Reynoldsburg) with his entire ass hanging out of his pants (literally), proceed to hold them up in between his legs and waddle behind the counter to continue prepping food, using the same gloves he opened a door and held his pants up with, it's evident the level of competency and quality your wages are attracting do not work. Then says he's got to make a phone call, I immediately look at the card and Realized it was switched.. I run after him... he try's to run me down with his car, as I'm on the hood of his car..he try's to drive away with me on his car! He finally stops his car, gives me a paperback book with my card inside! I couldn't get his license plate because He covered it up with a piece of paper Prior to this happening! next as my adrenaline is massively flowing from almost getting rundown I go into the store ask for the manager And tell him im calling the police, as to Have his video surveillance ready so they can get this full description or details his vehicle ... the manager tells me my cameras are down since the hurricane on sept 28?? Nowhere does the app say that they use doordash for delivery. But okay no problem. Side note: they need to let people know that they use door dash! Anyway, My problem is that the messaging said contactless delivery, which is what I wanted anyway - great! I get an email that said I had to meet the driver?! WTheck people. Was a bit disturbed when a girl dressed as a manager called us up to order while simultaneously raising her voice to an employee that she called up from the back. For 2 years straight, the manager of this Panera can't get his/her supply chain in order. They're constantly out of items. They're out of soufflés in the morning, they're out of nonfat milk for coffees, they're out of caramel syrup for lattes. One problem with being out of supplies is not being able to accommodate their customers' orders. However, Panera's shortcomings go much farther to alienate their customers. For example, when they were out of nonfat milk for coffees on a recent visit, they said, "We have almond milk, so if you're ok with that, we can make your drink with almond milk." I said, "Sure," and they proceeded to upcharge me. I stopped and pointed out that the reason I agreed to the more expensive drink additive was because *they* failed to stock the nonfat milk. Any decent customer service would've given the almond milk for the price of the requested (but unavailable) nonfat milk. To the manager of Panera: it's not that hard!! Order extra supplies because you are CONSTANTLY out of multiple products. read more

Ok, it's a chain, but a darn good one with some great breads including their big "miche" loaves of rye, which I live on. Thin sliced, I freeze half and I'm good to go for great toast and sandwich bread. The staff is very nice and attentive and if they don't happen to know how to make your favorite strange coffee concoction, they're happy to give it a run. We've had a couple of real good local bakeries on the beach, and we still have SueAnn's in Indialantic, but Panera puts out some good breads and it's got a nice setting for lunch with a fireplace and outside patio. This is a place with a drive-thru whose employees don't treat you or act themselves as if they're working at a place with a drive-thru. in fact it was 9 minutes before my car moved. 9 minutes each car is too long to serve each person in a Drive-Thru. Way too long. 9 min x 7 cars would have taken up my entire lunch hour and made me late getting back to the office even if I didn't stop to eat the food. This food here is way too expensive way way way too expensive to have them not care. They have a drive-thru which there's no excuse for having a drive-through open and not rush. What is a drive-thru for if it's not to get your food quickly. Save yourself frustration and disappointment by driving to the Panera Bread on Wickham Road instead of eating here. We live closer to this one by a couple of miles but will start visiting the Wickam Road location. Tonight they were out of BREAD!!!! Instead of the baguette piece they tear off for your soup we got a slice of bread. The place usually looks like it could use a good scrubbing. I really believe the problem could be solved by having EXPERIENCED ADULT management working on weekends. I ordered a bowl of soup and was served a cup. The soup was very good but would have been better if it had been hotter. The salad was also tasty. It would have been nice, too, if they would have given us spoons for our soup.
