Wall decor and they have white cloth tables and chairs, no booths.

What a great treasure of a restaurant we found in Melbourne, FL. This restaurant we were lucky to get into. We did not have a reservation. They do reservations here, and someone just canceled. This food is dynamite. Not like usual Chinese restaurants. It appears a bit upscale in ambiance, service, and flavor. Our server gave us great recommendations. We ordered the beef chow fun which came with quite a good amount of beef. We also ordered the mandarin chicken and the Painter Zhang's Shrimp. Both were so good and sweet and savory. It was nice and cozy and decked up quite nice with white cloth and servers dressed in bow ties. What a nice unexpected lunch dinner experience for us. Tely, the owner also walked around to speak with everyone and make sure all was well.

Tely's Chinese Restaurant 6450 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32940 4.5 Stars Feeling a tad esurient, I steeled my nerves and proceeded OTB for a visit to Tely's Chinese Restaurant in Suntree (Melbourne). The people who respect food and dining are the ones I respect. The ones who, through the art of practiced ereption, steal from the general dining public by wiping their feet on the industry are the ones I write nasty things about. Thankfully, Tely Tse, the owner of Tely's Chinese Restaurant and the owner of former Brevard giant Yen Yen is one of those restaurateurs I highly respect. After 18 years at Yen Yen and 8 more here, Tely is doing many things right. Danielle is our wait staff today, and while this fine example of a lady has a pulse of zero, do not let that fool you or put you off, as she does not suffer in the least from ergasiophobia. She performed her duties with outstanding professionalism. I asked Danielle for an order of the whole fried fish, scallops in their XO sauce, Snow White Prawns and a bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. Relaxing with the place's vibe, I sat back, snapped some pictures and eagerly awaited Danielle's return. My wait was within an acceptable time frame. I soon found myself basking in the delectable aromas that assaulted my olfactory senses as Danielle set my order on the table. I have to direct your eyes to the pictures at this point. If that is not an artistic culinary presentation, I don't know what is. Everything is screaming freshness and was made on-site. I assure you, everything smelled as good as it looked. Anticipatorily, I grabbed my tools of dietary obliteration and got to work. I had asked for my whole fried fish to be served in their Chinese Black Bean Sauce. Traditionally, this sauce is made from douchi (fermented black soybeans), garlic, and soy sauce. It is then simmered down to a delectable slightly thick sauce. Tely's nailed it. The fish was fried to a deliciousness not often experienced and the sauce was amazingly flavorful. Forcing myself to move on, I turned my attention to the Scallops in XO sauce. XO sauce is considered one of the most expensive, prestigious and luxurious sauces in Hong Kong Cuisine. It is customarily made from dried scallops, dried shrimp, fine smoked ham, chili, garlic, lemongrass and other seasonings. The menu clearly states "No refund and return on any dishes that are cooked with the XO sauce," which, of course, made me want to try it. I mean, how can something touted as having such luxurious taste be made in such a way that someone would return it? After one bite, I wasn't sure. The second one allowed me to begin to form an opinion and the third one had me on the bandwagon. This has to be one of the most exotic and flavorful sauces I have ever had the pleasure of scarfing down. Wow is about all I can say. Moving on, albeit regretfully, I forked a prawn and popped it in my cake hole. These are Tely's take on the traditional Chinese creamy-style shrimp. Once again, Tely proclaims his sovereignty over Middle Kingdom cuisine in Brevard County with this outstanding dish. Suffice it to say everything was marvelously prepared and obviously done so with love. Least I forget, the Hot and Sour soup here is the real deal. This is not something Panda Express made to suit what some corporate suit thinks Americans want or expect in ethnic food. The Big Boy says, "Anytime you want to experience the best Brevard has to offer in Hong Kong cuisine, go to Tely's Chinese Restaurant."

Beef Stew Casserole (left)/Mandarin Chicken (right). Dumplings and spring roll- not pictured because they were eaten too fast!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more I've been wanting to dine at Senzu Noodle Bar and Boba (which I will shorthand simply to Senzu for the remainder of this review) for the longest time, simply because it is relative to the Dragonball Series. Ever seen what happens to anyone who eats a senzu bean? Back to the review, I finally got the chance to go into Senzu, ready to dine on both noodles and boba. I mean it is in the name, right? Upon entering, the ambiance is a cross between modern restaurant and traditional ramen shop. I noticed the long wall bar where patrons would line up and enjoy their bowls of ramen during their lunch break, but I also recognize the tables for formal dine-in. As for ordering, they have the traditional face-to-face ordering along with a "contactless" kiosk. Senzu offers a decent range of appetizers, mains centered on noodle dishes such ramen, yakisoba, and udon, rice bowls, and boba. There are more to list, but the aforementioned is the primary bulk of the menu. From said menu, I ordered miso chicken ramen and Thai boba tea. The ramen was very flavorful, with a decent amount of ramen, add-ons, and chicken for $16.00. The Thai boba tea was good too at $4.00. Yes, I will say the price is a bit on the high side these days, but the price of food is going up in general. There is also a specials menu, made new every single day or week. One of the specials on said menu was unagi on rice, or grilled eel with tare glaze on rice. Since it was a special, it had the special price, too, at $20. Not complaining, but take note that specials definitely have special pricing. Was it good? It was, but definitely had better. As a matter of fact, I have had better of each of the food items I ordered. Still, you can't go wrong eating here at Senzu, unless you want to spend a little less. But you know what? I would not expect any less from the same people who own So-Ju Chicken and Bakudan Street Food. Ultimately, I will give Senzu a solid four-out-of-five star rating for this review. Definitely a good place to eat, and a new restaurant to enjoy such food. If they are consistent with their food and presentation (service included), I will grant them their fifth star for consistency.

Our server Keith took our order and was knowledgeable on the menu. However our experience went downhill from there. My wife ordered soup and salad and got it in 5 minutes. I ordered hamburger and had to watch my wife eat her food. It took another 20 minutes for my burger. My wife's soup was lukewarm at best and we had to ask for a fork for her salad. There was not silverware on the table when we arrived and Keith never once offered us any. I had to use my wife's napkin. When we asked for our tab. Keith asked us to fill out a survey. Truthfully he would not want me to review his service. I will say the food for the most part was good but BJ's and Keith struck out big time when it came to basic customer service.
