Dumpling lovers unite! We finally have a spot in our charming Brevard county that offers amazing Chinese street foods galore! A quaint and minimally decorated spot, nestled into a un observing strip, this gem could easily be missed. After seeing their menu online, we threw on our clothes and drove as fast as we could have a feast ! And what a feast it was !!! Our server was very attentive and helpful with making multiple decisions and the bubble teas were fresh and sweet and delicious . (Looking forward to when they have all the flavors available) We started with a bowl of warm and hardy curry soup with delicate glass noodles and flavorful broth. We then shared an order of the Chashu pork bowl with marinated egg. It wasn't as crispy as I'm used to...even a little gelatinous, but boy did it have the most amazing flavor. As a texture person, it didn't slow me down one bit. We also got some crispy fried wings that were perfectly cooked and juicy inside, and crunchy fried scallion pancakes (one of our favorite street foods) Then came the soup dumplings. The best I've actually had anywhere. Delicious broth with deep flavor, wrapped in a steamed wonton with tons of seafood meat inside. I could utilize an ignotum per ignotius to explain the origin of the dumpling; however, suffice it to say they can be found in every culture on the planet in one shape or another. We are all familiar with comfort food, such as chicken and dumplings, and have been exposed to gyoza or pot stickers. Katrina is the service pro, and she did a fantastic job despite being the sole service provider in a busy restaurant. I asked Katrina for some Beef-Fried Dumplings, Shanghai-steamed dumplings, and crispy-stinky tofu. Considering she was the only waitstaff visible, my order was up quickly. This told me the kitchen staff was pumping on all cylinders like a well-oiled machine. First up on the Big Boy's picky palate was a taste of the Beef-Fried Dumplings. The interior was tender, flavorful, and pleasant on the palate, and the exterior was fried to golden, crunchy perfection. This was a great dish. Moving on to the Shanghai Steamed Dumplings, also known as Soup Dumplings, I found these to be filled with a delectable concoction of flavors like their fried counterparts. They were steamed to perfection and delightful in taste. Scrumptious! So far, they were batting 1000. This brought me to the final item I ordered and tasted for review (my companions also ordered, and even though I include the pictures, I have no idea what they ate, though I assume it was just as good as mine): the Crispy Stinky Tofu. This is why it's a 4 and not a 5-star review. I've had authentic Crispy Stinky Tofu in NYC and while this is close, it's not what I had in NYC. I have tried almost all of the entree from this place since they've opened and here are the best from the menu in my personal opinion: Steamed Xiao long bao Fried beef dumplings Beef noodle soup Intestine night soup Spicy beef dip Spicy intestines dip Spicy Intestines stir fry (Only things I can say for this is that I wish they put more intestines into the dish since it's $14.99 and it's a very small amount for this dish to be togo) Braised pork rice (not listed on their online menu have to call to order entree) They do a good job of seasoning the dumplings and it's definitely hand made!! Dips are my favorite, the noodles in the dips are perfect and the broth is amazing. They will really do any spice level and the hot is very Szechuan hot, almost to the point I won't get hot every time. It is my favorite Szechuan spice in Brevard. The dumplings are also great. The pan fried are huge and it's hard to finish 1 order. Steamed dumplings are also delicious. We also tried the spicy stir fry hot pot ($22); it feeds at least 2 and probably 3 people and is mostly meat with quite a bit of pig intestine; it will give you the meat sweats. I really enjoy the pig intestine dip if you are into that kind of thing I highly suggest it. For a little more regular protein go with the braised beef; ask for the braised beef in a dip, which is not on the menu, but is fantastic. We eat here at least a couple of times a month. read more

Dumpling King is probably only place in Brevard county to get soup dumplings, so I was def excited to try it. The steamed soup dumplings have soup in it, to avoid burning yourself- place it on a Chinese soup spoon and carefully pierce it with your chopsticks before biting into it as the hot steam of the soup escapes. The crab pork steamed dumplings had the sweetness of the seafood, and tasted very freshly made. Note that the skins are on thicker side than I am accustomed to, but my hubby preferred it that way so they don't leak when you pick it up w chopsticks. Make sure to dip it in the vinegar sauce, which is already on the table. We also tried the braised pork belly over rice dish, it was good and had umami and savory flavors with notes of five spice, star anise... The side dish (curry beef noodles soup) was ok, not much going on other than noodles in curry soup... could have added some scallion or cilantro to garnish. Would def come back when I'm craving soup dumplings again as this hit the spot and don't have to trek to Orlando. Final NOTE, as someone who is Chinese American, THIS IS NOT DIMSUM! Another reviewer (perhaps on google) incorrectly stated they serve Dimsum here. No, dimsum is from Hong Kong, which quintessentially would serve tea and ladies push carts with steamed dumplings like Har gow, Siu mai, cherng fun, lotus sticky rice, etc. **Soup dumplings are Shanghainese**, and the rest of this restaurant's menu seems to be more from Northern China, where they prefer things heavier, pan fried or spicier (the menu says they use hot Mala sauce in their dips), which you would never find at dimsum. Really disappointed in the soup dumplings, tops were really thick so they had a doughy taste and texture . They had very little soup in them. Went here a couple days ago with s/o and family and had really great braised beef soup. We were served by a really polite waitress with dyed hair. All of our food was out timely and was delicious. Came back a couple days later with quite the opposite experience. Our server was a really passive aggressive blonde, she was rude to my s/o and his father while we were ordering. The food didn't taste the same either and we ordered the same things as last time. The prices were also wrong by a couple dollars when we looked at the check, which luckily she did fix. Maybe it was a bad night but the attitude of the blonde server made it uncomfortable while dining. If you asked her anything, she was mad and careless and also was rude to the bus boy because she needed to squeeze by him. Not sure how to feel given these experiences were polar opposites but she lowkey needs fired. read more

I entered the establishment and was greeted by -nobody-. Not a deal breaker, they're new and watching overhead. I get it. Several tables were occupied. The bar was completely empty, not even a bartender. Being on a solo Mission, I decided to sit at the empty bar. An attractive blonde female appeared and a club soda with lime was ordered, but it was not available, so I went with Modelo. (I know, no equivalency) Perusing the menu for a long time to understand what was being offered, I finally settled on just a simple order of pork dumplings. First visit. I figured going mild was the safest bet. But then, upon reflection, I thought, maybe I should have some soup too. I ordered a curry beef rice noodle bowl. After a short while, the bowl of soup appeared. It looked great. It was great! A small ladle/spoon was offered with the soup. However, it did not handle the rice noodles at all. Cultural awareness has taught me this tool was not designed for this type of food ingestion. Chopsticks were available, so I chose a pair and dug in. The soup was fantastic! The dumplings arrived and I was a bit intimidated. (And food doesn't usually intimidate me) There were eight of them, and they were huge! I finished my soup and started in on the dumplings, but not before filling a furnished sauce dish with one of the condiments offered; a very spicy chili oil used for dipping. (Warning: if you use this oil, be sure to have plenty of cooling liquid nearby!) After the fourth dumpling, I couldn't eat anymore. I boxed up the remains and requested my tab. The prices were quite reasonable. I look forward to future visits. The food was generally not overly spiced. However, if you like it hot, that chili oil will definitely fix you up. I thought the food was delicious. But, they've really got to figure out how to promote themselves better. I love the concept, I love the fact it's something new and different rather than the same ol' same ol', burgers and fries or various other forms of chicken. read more

Their Shanghai style soup dumplings are very tasty. Beef combination soup noodles come with tripes, tendon and brisket, they are very tasty and delicious. Service was extremely slow, both being seated and at the table. Maybe it was our server, but in any event it was not good. The ambience was just ok. Food was not good. Dumplings were gummy and soupy. The beef in the Braised beef ramen soup was fatty and noodles were like spaghetti. The bok choy in the soup was inedible. Broth was about the only thing that was good. Sat at the table for about 10 minutes, saw 5 different employees standing around, not a single person bothered to come take a drink order or say anything to us after we were seated. They stood around at the register carrying on. We left. For not being busy seems a little ridiculous. As we walked out one decided it was time to stand outside the door and smoke.
