Here's the Scoop! My honey and I haven't been here for a sit down lunch in a very long time. So today we decided to stay and was very surprised by the menu choices. They have a Summer menu that's awesome. Lobster rolls, strawberry chicken salad, summer drinks like kiwi green tea, lemonade. We came in for bakery items but was swayed by the summer menu. I ordered the lobster roll and my honey ordered the strawberry chicken salad. The salad is in a large bowl. My lobster roll was packed with lobster salad made from the claw. Huge lobster pieces. I was shocked. It was delicious! The salad had fresh fruit and veggies. Crisp lettuce, chicken slices, pecans, mandarin slices, strawberries, walnuts in a light dressing. So tasty! My lobster was falling out of the bun with every bite. Delish! Thoroughly enjoyed our time there for lunch today. I will definitely return for another lobster roll before the summer is out. I haven't set foot in here in 10 years. It's pretty much the same as I remember it. The place was filthy! Glass dividers, walls, carpets, etc. Meanwhile, management is chatting with the grill person and I can hear them cussing at the booth behind the wall. " F that bro!" Well "bro" and manager need to get a broom and a towel. I asked them for straws for our drinks and they couldn't comprehend that the container outside was empty. Two orders later and they were asked for straws again. The only benefit, free drinks for 2 months promo. McDonald's comes out more expensive. But anyway, management needs to clean up their act - literally and figuratively. See you again in 10 years, if you're still here. read more

This is one of my first Panera Bread location's I've been do and they've changed so much in the few years I've visited. It is a great place to sit down with some friends and enjoy a quick lunch or dinner. I really like that they have a fire place in the middle and nice opened windows for sunlight. On certain nights you will find older people playing Mahjong or chess with their friends and I just think that's really wholesome. My go-to on the menu is the U pick 2 with chicken noodle soup and Frontega chicken panini. Sometimes if I feel like treating my self I would get the lobster roll during the summer season. The place also uses ordering trackers so you can sit down and they will bring the food to you. Other places have it so that you need to go up to the front to get the food when its ready so it is a nice change. read more

Sandwiches and soups here are pretty good, but I think items here are a bit over priced. I recommend the You Pick 2 option where you can select a sandwich and a soup. I typically get the Bacon Turkey Bravo (cold cut sandwich) and a Chicken Noodle or Tomato soup, and I have never been disappointed by these options. I also really love the chips here! The cold brew coffee here is also pretty good, but again I think it is over priced for how much they give you. The service here is pretty standard, nothing too special. This is a negative review of Panera Bread that I am sorry to give. I really like Panera's business model and their embracing a relaxed no pressure to leave atmosphere. Getting you to stay while working remotely or gathering to socially interact in groups was a brilliant move on their part. When I arrived mid-evening for a dinner, I was intrigued by their "Lobster is Back!" poster. It advertised a Lobster with Mac & Cheese dinner returning (I am presuming by popular demand). I was hungry enough to eat a grown man's portion. I ordered the "large" Lobster and Mac, a bowl of Creamy Tomato soup, and a drink. I suffered mild sticker shock when the order rang in for $32.00 and coin. Even though I read the price of the Lg. Lobster Mac bowl at $24.95 it seemed like an extravagance I was willing to be wowed by. Almost consistently, Panera Bread serves good eats. The wait time was no more than 5 minutes. Well, what a let down for $32.00. I got a half filled large bowl of overly made hot by the microwave Mac & Cheese with five 1 inch pieces of lobster claw meat (usually a juicy bite) dusted by a glob of distracting bread crumbs covering the meat. The side bowl of the Creamy Tomato soup was what I can best describe as tepid. A lousy contrast. When the Mac & Cheese bowl cooled enough to eat without burning the roof of my mouth, I was in for a bigger disappointment. The microwave heating destroyed the lobster. It was tough and chewy. Lobster Jerky! Staring at my unfortunate choice of a pricy poorly prepared dinner, I made a pact with myself to never trust a chain food operation to serve you a delicate meat such as lobster and expect it to be done properly. THIS DINNER WAS A TOTAL FAIL. I will never order this dish again from Panera Bread. Their sandwiches a very good and the soups are good too, when they are warm enough to be pleasing. Go for the sweets and the rest. Just pass them by as a serious dinner choice. Well that's it. I've capped my Papaya Lemonade and I am done. Let the buyer beware. You've been forewarned. read more

I visit Panera Bread on very rare occasion. Tonight I ordered the You Pick 2 which consisted of 1/2 Greek Salad w/chicken and 1/2 Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. The size of the sandwich was just a tad bigger than an hors d'oeuvre. Also, just a tiny sliver of chicken along with a miniscule fragment of avocado and a few sweet peppers that looked like they pulled them out from a cocktail olive. The Greek salad was mostly the white ends from the romaine leaf with 2 thin scraps of red onion, a few tiny Greek olives and a few bitsy teeny tiny cherry tomatoes that they actually had the nerve to slice up into paper thin slices. No green peppers or cucumbers. I cannot comment on the taste of my meal because there wasn't much there to taste. But I can say that the bread was fresh and tasted good. The restaurant was clean, however I dined at an uncrowded off-peak hour. Needless to say, it will be another very rare event if I decide to dine at Panera again. Better off going to a deli or a bagel cafe. Also for the $14 spent, I could have went to the diner and ordered a gigantic Triple Decker Grilled Chicken BLT on Rye with coleslaw, pickle and french fries and would have had leftovers !! My friend has been trying to get me here for months and finally she did... I am very happy. This place is AWESOME... I have always been greeted with a smile and hello. The restaurant is big, bright and a bit lively. They always help me order through their wonderful soup and sandwich choices. (I can be a little indecisive at times). My favorite is the Napa Chicken Salad and Chicken with Rice soup... This is good SERIOUSLY GOOD. Really fresh and chunky chicken salad that is almost 'refreshing' to eat. Pair that with the creamy chicken soup with rice and you enjoy a flavor explosion. I am a relative newcomer to the Panera world and extremely glad that my friend turned me on to this place. I love places that have an "electricity"about them. There are so many establishments that have good food but may be so low key that they are almost downright depressing to sit in. People come here to eat because they are fans of Panera and want to be there to eat relax, use their free wi-fi and just be around some lively conversations and atmosphere. Easy to park at all locations I have visited and the lines (always lines) move quickly because management feels that putting on a few extra people during peek hours is the RIGHT THING TO DO! I have going to Panera regularly for years But my most recent visit was disappointing to say the least. I understand that inflation is causing prices to rise everywhere but if you want to raise the price dont reduce the quality and or quanity of food, which is exactly what they have done. I usually order the same thing every visit so I could tell right away something was a miss. My sandwich was mostly bread and not much else. We called to inquire about the lack of food in our order and was told by the manager that they were using a different porportioning system for the meats in the sandwiches. In simple terms we are giving you less for more money and thats that. Its sad to say but I feel my time with Panera has come to an end. Panera has good coffee. That is all I can positively say about it. They have this stupid policy of not putting butter on your bagel sandwiches. So instead, I get a sandwich and these little butter packages that I swear came from a freezer, because they are rock hard and impossible to spread. If you ask them to butter anything, they say corporate won't let them (some stupid policy about contamination that makes no sense since all other restaurants butter your food all the time. Am I the crazy one for paying that. Come on Panera, I'm a capitalist and I don't mind people making money but are you kidding?!? The 1/2 soup was literally 3-4 table spoons if that. The 1/2 sandwich was smaller then a child's hand and the rest, just small in its own way. It was good (ish) but so far from the worth of $38!!! This is one of the best Panera Bread's that I've ever been to. Not only is the service here outstanding, the food and environment is great. I came here for breakfast and it was my first time coming to this location. I ordered the avocado, egg white, and spinach sandwich. The cashier was so nice and sweet. I forgot his name but he was very inviting and patient towards us and the other customers. Another guy brought us our food and he was really kind too. Other Panera Bread's that I've been to don't have the kind of service they have here. At other locations, the employees there don't seem to enjoy their jobs or aren't really that nice. Tbh, other locations have some weird smell all the time too. The sandwich was good, but the egg was kinda bland. My friend ordered a Greek yogurt and I tried it; it was pretty good. After I tried calling the Hauppauge Panera location several times and could not get through, I went inside a few times, checking to see if my order was waiting on the pickup/rapid ready shelf. While I did so, I overheard another patron: she asked if she could have her coffee as she'd been waiting a half hour! Finally, I went back to the car where my baby was fussing and agitated, by 10:50am...and then another customer came outside and said something about some orders being behind the registers? I went back in, didn't see any servers, but saw my order on the counter behind the register, so I grabbed it. I came in and they were pretty much empty of all pastries with the exception of a few, as well as most of what I tried to order. The point of rapid pick up is literally the flexibility of not waiting on a line. I placed my order via the Panera app at 4:58 pm and received a text at 5:05 pm that my order is ready. I walk inside and my order is not on the shelf. I ask the person behind the counter to check if it's on the table if orders on the back table. She says it's not there and asks what is my ID, I told her I don't know what she is talking about and I show her my order receipt from the app. She says "oh I thought you were door dash. " totally judged me. I gave her my order number and she looks up and says it's been made and someone must of picked it up. 13 minutes I have to wait for another order to be prepared. This is not okay and the whole point of rapid pick is not to wait. They need a better system of checks and balances. She did not offer any compensation for my time wasted or no discount. Pretty bad experience here. I don't normally frequent Panera Bread but was on the road and in a rush and figured I'd pop in for a quick bite. I ordered an onion soup and one of the 1/2 chicken sandwiches with some iced tea. The onion soup was pretty good, and they have some awesome selections of iced tea. The piece of bread on the side was also pretty good. Now, when I got to the sandwich, I opened it up, and it was like shredded chicken with some mayo type of sauce, a tomato, and some lettuce. The chicken was pink. Not even like mostly white with a tint of pink, it was pink. I hate complaining. I work in a restaurant, and the last thing I would ever want to be in this world is an unnecessarily annoying customer in a restaurant. That being said, I'm not about to eat some undercooked chicken... especially not at Panera Bread. So the girl at the counter said "oh the chicken always looks like that, it's just the way they cook it. We don't actually cook it here though." I said, "yea they don't cook it enough, which is probably why it's pink." I didn't want to make a huge deal out of it, so I just asked if I could get something else, and that I'd even pay the difference if what I wanted was more expensive. I told them that regardless of whether their chicken was safe to eat, eating pink chicken is just kind of unappetizing. The manager came over and took care of it. I told them I'll just take half of a tuna sandwich. Then, after waiting a few minutes, one of the cooks asked me if I was waiting for something. I told him that I was waiting for half of a tuna sandwich. He was like "oh man, I forgot, just give me a few minutes." I was cool about it, as it was no big deal, but just thought that was a little weird. The tuna sandwich was pretty bad. The lettuce on it was brown around the edges and it was pretty flavorless. Maybe I've just become more of a food snob than I thought, but this experience definitely reinforced why I never eat at this place. This particular Panera is really good. It's large enough to accommodate everyone who wants a seat even during the busy hours. They don't limit your internet time during busy hours, and they keep the place a nice warm temperature (without being too warm!). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area - so if you are new to the neighborhood, you can also ask for directions with your coffee and bagel. I like how the tea and coffee are in the same place, so you can make your drink the way you want to without walking all over the place. This is a very good Panera! read more

When they were called they offered to sent another I said I didn't want to wait an hour for it to come. Being that I'm a carb-lover, this place is awesome. The bread is baked fresh daily and is simply delicious. I love the array of sandwiches, soups, hand-tossed salads, and beverages... all of which are made to order and not pre-made like a lot of fast food places. The breakfast menu is also great here. The bakery/cafe feel of this place makes it nice to meet up with friends or enjoy a quiet table to yourself.
