One of my family's favorite places to eat, especially without me (the daughter being vegetarian). I had tortilla soup with a BBQ chicken flatbread. I thought both were really well done, I probably could have done with just the soup. The wife had butternut squash soup and appreciated it a lot. The daughter had spicy Thai grilled chicken (substituting avacado for the chicken) with a grilled cheese sandwich. One of her favorite combos that delivered again. The place is clean, the layout is really nice and comfortable. I'll keep going back with them when the opportunity presents itself. The service is friendly and fast and I appreciate the assortment of non carbonated drinks that I believe are all assembled locally. I got a cinnamon roll for dessert and it was great. read more

I was going to write a review with my bad experience at the restaurant but then changed. But then I got home and opened my food. I said no bread with my soup, I got bread. ( I can't have bread)I said extra cheese on my salad, my salad literally had NO CHEESE. The chicken on my salad was frozen. Literally. The container was half full with my salad, like a few greens! At the restaurant, they got my order completely wrong. When I told him about it, they said there's nothing they can do. I overpaid for things I did not want and the easiest fix was to refund me my money and don't give me the extra items YOU added to my order. read more

Wow, this Panera bread is really gross. Very dirty, garbage on the ground, filthy chairs and bathrooms were very dirty as well. I ordered the turkey chili and the spoon I got on my plate was filthy. When I went to get a clean spoon they acted very condescending but offered me another spoon... that one was dirty as well!! I said you know I really don't want to get sick. And they said oh it's just how they come out of the dishwasher. Spent $30 on nasty out dated hospital food. A complete waste of money. Had a stomach ache after leaving. Will never be back and I will be reporting them to OSHA as well. read more

I haven't eaten at a Panera for over 2 years since the pandemic started. Went to the Clackamas location yesterday and wow has it changed. Since a German group purchased the company they are cutting the quality, service, and the ingredients all in an effort to make more profit. The vegetable soup wasn't anything like it previously was and the bowl was the same size as the cup I purchased. Too high a price for what we received. I will never go again and I went there at least a couple of times each week in the past. read more

Ordered 2 avocado, egg white breakfast sandwiches. Both were completely soaked, literally dripping wet. It seems the spinach was not dried prior to putting it on the sandwich, and strangely the egg white was very dry. The person at the pick up counter was also pretty rude. This specific location was happy valley in OR Looked around for cleaning supplies to clean it myself and was not able to see any handy. also no worker to be seen. This national chain has a good and simple menu anchored by different freshly baked breads. Soups, pastries, sandwiches. The great thing, it is open for breakfast at 6am on weekdays. When my granddaughter is up early and wants b'fast out before school as a reward when her mom is out of town, here I can get her quick healthy food. read more

Yesterday ordered two bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches on whole grain bread. Got home and discovered the bread was soggy and not toasted, no bacon on the sandwich and if there was cheese you could barely tell, These sandwiches were not cheap and we were very disappointed. Ordered delivery last evening (shortly after 7 pm and well before closing time). Very disappointing. Both orders of Bistro French Onion Soup were missing the croutons and cheese. My Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich had very little chicken salad in it. Couldn't see it at all from the outside. After taking a few bites that were nothing but bread, lettuce, and tomato, I took off the top slices of bread from each half. There was a very small amount of chicken salad in the middle of the bread, maybe 1 or 2 Tbs, not enough to spread out, let alone cover the entire slice of bread. I ordered one of these sandwiches several months ago, and it was really good which is why I ordered it again. The soup and chicken sandwich looked nothing like the pictures on their website. Wish now I'd taken my own pictures to share. The grilled cheese was meh. Brownies were good. The rest of the food was definitely not worth the money I paid. read more

Usually, they leave out the side(s) like our last order where we paid extra to get a fruit bowl side and never received it. Have been to Panera's all over for years. Never really had any problems. Placed a pickup order and it was ready pretty quickly. Should have checked the order. We ordered lunches for 3 people and upon arriving home we found the entire order was wrong. Didn't have the time to drive back so we made due with what we had been given but for the prices it was disappointing to not get what we ordered and paid for. It won't stop me from coming again but will definitely be checking my order before leaving. The parking situation is a nightmare! Not there fault though. Mall parking sucks! read more

Living in Nevada City and environs is difficult given the dearth of really good restaurants. I have to think hard about where I have had a truly enjoyable meal. On a visit to Portland, my wife and I went to Panera for breakfast and tried there souffle. It was delightful and the coffee was very good too. So back in this restaurant wasteland of Nevada City/Grass Valley we drive to Auburn (35 minutes one way) to have breakfast at Panera and take home 4-6 souffles (cheese & artichoke) for reheating at home. For an area of N. California with such a large population density, it's amazing to have so few high quality places to eat. I am so disappointed. I haven't been to a Panera in years. Today I ordered take out, so I looked over their menu. I scrolled down to the Plant Based section since my dr says that I can't have animal products. I order the greek sandwich and corn soup since they were in the plant based tab. I took one bite of the soup and realized something was off. I get on their website to look at their ingredient list. Sure enough every single one of their items in the "Plant Based" section have dairy of some sort. I called the number on the website and the man tried to tell me that vegetarian and plant based are the same. They are definitely not the same for people on restricted diets. He didn't offer to refund my order or make me something plant based. Just said I will let my marketing department know. Yah, no thanks. I won't ever go back. I really enjoyed the meal I had here. I ordered the half and half special which was a half sandwich and cup of soup for a little over 10 dollars. The prices are a little spendy but the food is delicious and the ingredients taste fresh. The sandwich I had was an avocado chicken on grilled panini bread. The chicken was shredded and spread on the panini bread with melted gouda. Extremely tasty! The tables were a little dirty but that's probably because of how busy they were on a Saturday at the mall. Totally not worth it for food you can 1) make yourself and 2) buy at a store. I hope this location closes. Since my daughter started back to school, I've started working here a few mornings a week. The staff here have been incredibly friendly. I got the coffee subscription and it's a great deal. I have cut out the carbs so it takes a lot of self-control to say no to all there treats but my kids love them. I've enjoyed the salads here as well. read more

Meh. It's Panera Bread. There isn't too much you can say. They had my bagel ready in good time and they put a nice sized cream cheese on the side. I probably used half of it on my whole bagel and I am a lover of thy cream cheese. Their bagel was a little thin though and the staff didn't have the best sense of humor. After a satisfying return visit, I need to up my rating to 4 stars. I didn't actually have any bread this time, and that was one of the disappointments last time, but other members of my group did have bread, and felt it was okay. I went with the Strawberry Poppy Seed Chicken Salad, combo'd with the Black Bean Soup. The soup was very good for a vegetarian option, although I did have to add a little Tabasco for some kick. It wasn't the most flavorful soup I've had, but it worked. The real star of the show was the salad -- it was full of fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple), walnuts, tasty chicken, and crisp romaine lettuce. The dressing was sweet, but light enough to not be overpowering. I was looking for a healthy option this time, and my salad fit the bill perfectly. If I could do it again, I would probably opt for a full salad instead of the half salad combo with cup of soup. While I had much better experience with the food this time, I'm still not convinced that it's worth the price they are asking. $10 for cup of soup and half a salad ordered off a menu board seems a little high to me. Dropped a star. The last few times we have been in the place has been a mess. I understand tables being messing and needing a wioe down during busy times but the bina for dirty used dishes should not be filled over the top and look like they will crash down. The bathrooms do not hsve seat covers for the toilets. I asked the manager about this and she said it is no longer a state law to carry them so Panera opted not to purchase them any more. Seems like a bad place tp cut corners to save money. The foos is still consistant in taste but our order is still often incorrect and needs fixing which they do wit no issue. Their bakers is still often out of many items half way through the day and they only have Pepsi products in the fountain machine. It's just average. Oh but hey free wi-fi! read more

We are a group of young professionals organizing a a charitable cause for our overworked school staff. The lady who answered the phone had an already irritated tone. We nicely introduced ourselves and the cause, and she presumed to shut us down immediately without any thought or consideration. She didn't even address herself as the manager, and gave our pitch zero thought. We all frequent Panera as paying customers, and this awful interaction has made it so that we will not be returning. She said her name was "Kat", although this very well could have been a cover up name. She seriously needs to reevaluate her tone and way of going about customer service. I am appalled at her lack of consideration for a cause that so closely affects our community. Please pass the message along to the young lady answering the phone at around 2:15 on February 16th. read more

I called in a lunch order at 10:15 am for some clients for an 11:30 lunch meeting. I was told over the phone that it would be 45 minutes to complete my order. Upon arrival at 11:00 am they could not,find my order in the system. I was furios since I had no time to order from another restaurant. They then "magically" found my order hand written on back of receipt paper and not entered into the system. I was late for client meeting and am extremely disappointed with the service. Normally they have good food, but this time I was very disappointed! I ordered a whole Tuna sandwich. (Not Cheap). The first half had NO TUNA on it!!! I asked a server to come over and asked if they forgot the tuna? Showed her the sandwich, her response was"UMMM". If I wasn't having a meeting with a coworker, I would have called over the manager! The 2nd half, had a small scoop of tuna, but on very thick bread, so no real flavor of Tuna. I wont order another sandwich from them. read more

The service was not good and to top it off they served us cold soup They do not bring bread with butter. This is a must at all Panera breads. Walked in...a person just ordered then went to their table. Oksana who was at counter just walked away and gave me a dirty look. I said "hello" can I order?,...she was six feet away, pretending like she didn't hear me. Then her friend came to the counter and she started talking to her....and she proceeded to give me another dirty look, ...I couldn't believe it! Finally the manager walked out and asked if I had been helped I said no. He took my order. I had the chicken thai salad. Was good, average. Not enough chicken. Over seasoned with dressing and full of tortilla chip bits to compensate for not enough chicken to make you full. For $10 --- not satisfied. Baguette was stale too. Should of went to Native Foods, where I usually go. I am tired of employees who don't do there job and just ignore you. My assumption is because I was gay. I kinda like Panera. A decent variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and baked goods, too. They have a Pick Two lunch deal that works nicely for a well-rounded quick bite, and they are pretty good at packaging meals (not overkill, but not flimsy and falling apart) for pick-up orders. Not too bad for a chainy-chain. One tip for visitors to this Panera: don't bother trying to park in the lot right outside of the entry. You'll likely have better luck if you park upstairs on the other side of REI and take the escalator down. read more

Back in the day, when y'all was in diapers, Panera was pretty good. I mean back when they were St Louis Bread Company with a mere handful of Panera franchises through the southeast. Went here for lunch the other day with my wife and son while we were waiting for the auto folks at Sears to gum up our engine. It's just not the Panera of old. Customer service is good enough, sure... The people taking and producing your order are really nice, focused, and on point. Ironically, it's the bread. I had an Italian sandwich, which was fine, except for the bread. I was told it was on ciabatta. That was ciabatta like Oreos are cookies. My wife had a panini. Same problem, the sandwich contents were fine, but the bread was nasty. They have gone down that corporate road of shelf life and preservatives, whereby all of their bread has this waxy, icky layer on it, so they can keep it around forever to make sandwiches with. Gross. I have been to this Panera location four or five times over the past couple of years. While the food isn't any different from other Paneras, this one seems to have friendlier, more-helpful staff than some others that I've patronized. I also like that they always have a decent selection of baked goods in the early evening - not sold out before 5:00 like I've experienced elsewhere. read more
