A smoothie I ordered last night 16oz. The smaller today.

My order and what I actually received. What a rip off. No more Panera for me. They of course tried to blame Uber Eats. Very disappointed and dissatisfied

Fruit fly on the cookie

They say that convenience comes at a cost, in my particular experience, it came with extra flavoring in the form of a fruit fly! My wife and I came in on a Monday night and noticed they had a small selection of pastries left which is expected. However, what was not expected was as we got near the display, we noticed two fruit flies were jumping from pastry to pastry and our appetite started jumping out the door with it. We approached the team member at the cash register and asked for a chocolate chip cookie towards the bottom of the pile, explaining our reasoning - no response. The moment we saw her lift the top batch, a few more fruit flies appeared, yet again, no response. For health reasons, you would assume at minimum an apology for the experience and offering a solution for the remaining batches but it was as if nothing happened. So instead of enjoying her birthday cookie right away, we ended up having to bring it home to heat it to be safe. We're not looking to get additional pastries, obviously if we were, we wouldn't have been so selective of the item but an acknowledgment would have helped the situation.

Sausage egg and cheese brioche

Panera is a quintessential elevated fast food restaurant. You are able to get quick quality meals that are reliably the same every time you order at any location. I was able to add spinach, tomato and garlic aioli to my breakfast sandwich for no additional cost. The food came out great warm, however our order was incorrect (I would recommend checking you order is correct before leaving as this isn't the first time that has happened at this location). The employees worked quickly to fix the issue. We love their drinks, especially the charged lemonade! The price is a little high considering the amount and quality of the food, however they have some good rewards and deals on their app if you get that. The restaurant was clean throughout.

Mac and cheese

They had pieces of plastic in my Mac and cheese that was also cold aswell when served .

Took a chance today to order their 2 item special - have generally enjoyed their tuna sandwich + half a salad. Well, the sandwich was fine but the size of the sour dough bread they use now makes the sandwich very small compared to what was in the past. The size of the piece they cut in half to make a half sandwich was almost the size of one's palm. Unfortunately the half salad, strawberry caprese barely filled the small plastic container to half way. When you look at the whole salad on their menu it is much larger so getting a half portion lending to only 3 bites was greatly disappointing. The container was less than half full of salad - & even tho I was warned they were out of pecans, took a chance to go ahead & go with this salad - no chicken as well which I didn't want. They should clarify what half a salad means & show a picture of it for reference. What I got was barely 1/4 of a whole salad. Glad the gift coupons I have had in the past as I tried to frequent them during covid are all used which is good cause not sure when I will return. Their prices are reasonable if one gets what they advertise one should receive for their order. And, whether I had ordered a whole or half tuna sandwich in the past, I always got a pickle on the side - no deal with a half or perhaps they do not give pickles out any longer

It's a place with big and non expensive portions. Also it's not fast food, which means it taste like homefood

tuna

price is extremely high for the quality and size of the food.. half of a tuna salad sandwich was $7.29! their seasonal autumn squash was ok. the workers are friendly.

buy a bagel cutter man!

Bagel slicing skills FAIL! jeeze Panera Bread, for as much as you charge, you'd think you can afford a bagel cutter, so your bagels are uniformly sliced

It seems some employees here would rather side eye you than help you. But others are helpful.

The pastrami is sooo good! I'll definitely be back for another one of those. We tried the chicken noodle soup this time. It's filled with large chunks of veggies and chicken. Just like homemade. Everything on the menu looks delicious. I'll be back a few more times to try more. Thanks for the great lunch!

The chicken was flavorless but had a good texture. Third spoonful was to decide if I was just being picky. I wasn't it was flavorless watered down chicken soup. I returned it and didn't even ask for my money back it wasn't the clerks faults I asked them to pass on my comments to the owner. The cornbread that came with it was good I took a bite of that with the 2nd spoonful to see if maybe they wanted the two to play off each other, The soup didn't play well with others it was to anemic to leave the cart so I brought it back. The cart has sandwiches and other things they might be good I didn't order those so I can't say. I would try the cart again just to try something else off their menu but definitely not the soup again which is weird cause it's a soup cart.

What I love about Pho Gabo is that the lesser known Vietnamese specialities really get a chance to shine here. These are items that a majority of Vietnamese places don't necessarily serve and can be quite rare throughout a the many pho restaurants we have in Portland. On this day I had the banh canh cua which is the crab udon noodle soup. Despite being a smaller restaurant with a lot of various dishes/soups....I was worried that the broths would taste "stale" since they might not have much turnover. However everytime I've dined at Pho Gabo this has never been a problem as if they cook everything regularly in small batches sorta like how Ha VL does it It was a very good rendition at BCC, especially for Portland only 2nd to my mom's version (no seriously my mom's version is S tier). Lots of crab and other ingredients like quail eggs, mushrooms, and a very very good pork loaf "cha." The cha here is really really good and that's saying something bc it's not something I gravitate to. My suggestion if you're new to Pho Gabo whether you are a beginner or veteran of Viet food is to stretch past your comfort zone and try something you've never had or don't regularly order and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh man when I say this has to be in my top 5 BBH restaurants of all time, I mean it!…read more We recently went on our anniversary trip to the PNW and I was looking for an authentic BBH place in Portland. You cannot take the Asian out of me, even if we visit the PNW, haha. I have to have my Vietnamese food fix. This restaurant caught my eye. The no-frills interior and the fact that I saw a ton of banana blossoms in other Yelpers' reviews was a dead giveaway that this place would be good. And boy was I right. It was a sweltering day when we went (apparently we visited during a heat wave), but that didn't stop us from eating there. The restaurant is located in a pretty ghetto part of Portland, but I didn't feel unsafe eating there. The swamp cooler was blasting and there was a Vietnamese soap opera playing. We were already set on ordering what they were known for, so we quickly placed our order. The owner was super nice and service was so attentive. He brought out iced teas for us as well. It didn't take very long for our hot bowls of BBH to arrive. First to our table were the freshest herbs and banana blossoms. I have never seen so many banana blossoms when ordering BBH in my life, it made me super happy to see them! Small side dishes of fish sauce with chilies were also served with our BBH, and I eagerly dug in. Everything was so good! The meats were tender and the pork knuckles were so fatty. The cha was also nice with a good spicy kick from the peppercorns. We ordered our BBH spicy and it was indeed spicy, as it should be. The pork blood was also salted and actually pretty flavorful! I ate my husband's pork blood cubes bc he didn't want them. I added the chili fish sauce to my broth and it definitely enhanced the flavor. I didn't bother to ask about adding shrimp paste as I generally do because I enjoyed the clean flavor of the broth itself. I did, however, ask for more limes, since I enjoy having extra limes with my BBH. The noodles were a tad overcooked but not mushy, so that was fine. We briefly chatted with the owner when we were done, and he asked where we were from. When I told him I've had plenty of BBH in SJ but especially loved his version, he said he knew where that was and wholeheartedly thanked us for visiting his restaurant! I'm so happy I was able to find a hidden gem for my BBH fix during our time in Portland, and will definitely make a special trip to return every time we visit the PNW!

Came in on weekend for lunch and it was definitely a 40 min wait, but then literally no one on a Tuesday night for dinner. Somehow, the time for the food to come out was about the same. You get a few that come out quick, then a few that took long enough for me to notice it, and then always a few where you wonder if they forgot your dish. Even when there was no one else in the restaurant. The XLB and pot stickers are all super solid, not quite Ding Tai Fung quality, but at these prices and wait times they are great. Qbao's are delicious. I think the noodles are honestly slept on. They all have great flavor, super bouncy noodles, and honestly come in a size that you can easily finish on your own or still big enough to split in case you wanted to try another flavor. I also think the pork wonton's with chili sauce are also super slept on, the sauce is oddly sweet, but honestly I love that. Service here can be hit or miss. They don't really do a each table gets a specific server system, at least that hasn't been my experience. You'll get some food runners, and you can usually just flag anyone down to get what you need. But it does mean things can slip through the cracks if you don't have one person keeping an eye on the list of food ordered for the table or you have multiple servers checking in on you to see if you got all your food even though you just told the server 3 min ago you were still missing something. All in all, this place is phenomenal and approachable. I will be back, maybe not on the weekends though, it's not quite worth all that.
