The service is always very quick here! You order off of an ipad and pay at the front usually. I can always count on my bowl to be exactly like the spice level I choose and boiling hot! I like their specials like their sizzling plate, especially because it comes with edamame. Their milk teas and ice teas are quite good too, I like their winter melon iced tea to pair with my meal! I crave this so often it's hard not to come once a week!

Been here three times now since its opened, during lunch time from 1130-noon, with plenty of parking and tables available that slowly filled up as time went on. I've been to other Tasty Pot locations and this one is more esthetically pleasing but it is a little awkward to sit at the booths besides the window where the Starbucks drive thru is and there are cars waiting in line. Haven't been to the Beaverton location in awhile so not sure if they have it as well now but ordered are placed with iPads. Service is generally good except for the last Saturday where we were barely checked in on. I've had the beef, curry, japanese miso, taiwanese spicy, thai flavor, and sichuan at this location. Roe fish balls have been added on a couple times. Thai is my usual favorite but I found it and the rest of the broths here watered down from what I remember in comparison to other locations. The soybean paste is really good and provides much needed flavor.

Soooo much better than their Beaverton location. Broth was super flavorful. I love spicy food and their highest level for their sichuan pot was just right. I also tried the Taiwanese one and that one's good too. We left super full.

Seafood Lobster with original broth, $21.99

5/5 for ambiance, price, and location. 4/5 for service. 3/5 for overall food quality. It's a wonderful addition to this section of SE 82nd Ave. It's well price for variety of pot options. The sides are mid-range. Drinks are on the higher end. The hotpot size is more for individual though still enough to share or for family style with added sides. They go around to refill broth to your pot as requested. The hotpot stayed hot throughout our meal. We ordered Seafood Lobster with original broth for $21.99. You can get Seafood Lobster with Thai broth. It's super affordable and cheap for a whole lobster tail! The original broth was clear, kept its flavor and taste through the end. I never understand or care for the imitation crab!!!!! Loved all the mushrooms and knots seaweed came with it. Didn't care much for the fish ball. Extremely disappointed with only 1 small piece of taro!!!!! The price included clear noodle and a bowl of steamed rice. You can get instant noodle for $1.50 extra. Size ordered: Tempura, Pork Blood Rice Cake, Fish Tofu, $4.70 each. I wouldn't order them again. I didn't taste any actual pork blood; more like sticky rice paste in cubes. The fish tofu looked tofu like fried and texture tasted like fish balls. Tempura was soggy but I expected lightly bread and fried. Size of Quail Egg, $3.00 for 8 canned quail egg saved the day from disappointment of tempura, pork blood rice cake, and fish tofu. Two bottles of sauce at each table. One is soybean paste. The other is water down soy sauce I barely tasted any flavor. Milk Creme Black Tea, $6.75 with 0.75 cent for each topping (pudding and grass jelly), total of $8.25: it was alright, nothing stood out. I was able to select sugar and ice level on this drink but not all drinks have this option. You order from a tablet and pay for with a printed receipt. The drink order on tablet would be useful if they list main ingredients instead of only name of the drink.

Yay! So happy not to have to drive to Beaverton for Tasty Pot anymore! The restaurant was clean and wheelchair accessible with booth seating and table seating. Boba drinks were okay, can't adjust sweetness level. The food, however was delicious. Wish they had more noodle option but all of our items were very good and Good portion sizes. The sauce they had on the table was also quite tasty. I have had a lot of their soups and the Thai and the Japanese miso are my favorite. The lamb is also very good. Excited to go back!

I got the Japanese miso hot soup with rice on the side and medium spice level. It was good and not very spicy at all. The broth has a great flavor. The udon noodles are delicious. There are lots of seafood like clams, roe fish balls, a crab piece and more. These combine to make a delicious mix and it is not bad for the price at all. It's pretty automated because you order on an iPad and everything arrives in your bowl and you pay up front.

i came here for a family birthday and the food was pretty good. i got a side of napa cabbage but they give a lot of cabbage under all the other toppings so i don't think that's totally necessary unless you're gonna share with other people. the toppings are plentiful so i recommend only getting stuff on the side if it's not already in the bowl or if you're gonna share. my pot came with a ton of fish cake and i wish we had the option to switch out some of the toppings because i'm not a fan of fish cake. i also wish there were more mushrooms in my pot. the curry broth was pretty good and i would get it again. the food came out at a normal pace but the boba i ordered took a lot longer. i got the rose milk tea which was very fragrant. their boba isn't amazing but i didn't expect much anyways. there's tons of seating and a lot of those options are booths which is nice. i want to come back and try their other broths

Some reviews said soup is watery with no flavor, it's true. But with the sauce they provide it's still a good meal

The queue can get long but honestly moves quite quickly - the baos are LOADED up, made on the spot, and quite delicious. The vegetarian ones I've had are always chock full of vegetables and flavor and definitely don't disappoint. My husband and his omnivore friends can vouch for the beef/pork items also being hits. Their chili oil does NOT play around and packs a good amt of spice so fair warning if you dollop a ton of it on your bao. I also love that you can buy this by the jar if you'd like to take it home and enjoy-suffer the flames of spice -- Will definitely be grabbing a jar myself. Service is super friendly and they were very nice about helping us out due to a mix up in our order. Delicious, flavorful, well priced baos. Absolutely check it out on your walks in at the Farmer's Market and get in line for some tasty bites!

Normally I wouldn't care that much about service, but when a lady in a tacky light pink blazer tries to berate me for not having my order window still up on my phone to prove what my name and order was then we have a problem. What's the point of me providing my name and phone number in the order if you also must see my actual order on my phone? There wasn't even any customers in the restaurant while I was there picking up my order and there were only a few orders on the bench. I offered my name and that I was there for pick up, and I was happy to wait there patiently but this lady demanded to see the order on my phone because she couldn't find any order under my name. I must've closed the paid for order window on my phone on accident so I offered her my license to show her my name, but she got upset, huffed, and said "How are we supposed to give you your order if you don't show us what you ordered?" I did know what I ordered though because it was only 2 things, but she never asked me what I ordered or any other identifying information. Anyways, I ended up quickly finding my own order and she tried arguing that the order didn't say my name (I think she just couldn't read it cause it looks like their ink was running out on their order printer, but I was able to make out my own name and phone number on the order). I finally got my order though after I recited my phone number (which was on the order printout right in front of me so I could've lied anyways if that's what she was actually concerned about, but logic was thrown out the window from the very beginning). Anyways TLDR: service sucked. I won't be going back. You can find the same menu items with way better service at the Master Kong on SE Hawthorne.

Brunch in Portland, Oregon…read more.. After I read reviews about Portland's Chinatown, I searched for a dimsum place outside of Chinatown and found Jade Rabbit I liked the name of the place and saw that they had two kinds of rabbit-shaped dimsum! Another cool thing is that their menu is vegan... that means that I don't have to worry about dairy products that give me pain. We found free street parking about a half a block away and waited for Jade Rabbit to open at 11am. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated immediately. The decor was great! I enjoyed looking at all of the Rabbit figurines! The furniture was colorful and the convenient restroom had interesting decorations, too! The service was okay. Some items were not available and our server recited the list that included chow funn. Shucks! She came back later and said that the chow funn was, in fact, available... yay! Our server seemed a bit nervous as her hand shook and placed the special menu upside-down... LOL! We won't bite you! She recommended the Ube Jam drink - it was made with coconut cream... yes! The chow funn was a bit bland. We added some soy sauce. The Puto Pao Bunny Bao had an unusual flavor - maybe the brown sugar can be omitted because the black garlic and vegan pork might be fine without it? The Jade Rabbit Dumplings also could be more savory. Something was off... and the filling was a bit sparse. Anyway, maybe we could have ordered better, but we got what we wanted! Thank you for the cute food! Note: 22 percent is added to the bill - so no need to tip.
