He strongly pushes online ordering (there's even a sign saying it's preferred), yet the third-party ordering website frequently freezes or fails to accept orders. In the past, I've been yelled at for trying to order in person and told it would take 45 minutes. This time, I ordered online as instructed and arrived at the pickup time, only to be ignored for about 10 minutes despite standing right in front of him. When he finally acknowledged me, he couldn't find part of the order, then angrily threw the food on the counter and demanded payment--even though I had already paid online. He refused to accept an email receipt and said he doesn't give receipts at all. So I paid twice. On top of that, the online prices were nearly double the in-store prices, with no clear explanation when I inquired. Great food does not excuse terrible customer service. The experience is stressful, unpleasant, and unprofessional.

We got 3 sandwiches, 2 with fries and 1 with onion rings, 2 waters and a sprite. It was $52. I think that is a bit high especially looking at size of sandwich but the were delicious.

For example, she offered a bag to the customer and bagged all her items, but I had to explicitly request one and she just slid the bag across the counter for me to bag my items myself. The broccoli salad was tasty, but could have used a bit more dressing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely frequent this establishment whenever I'm in the mood for a healthy-ish lunch.

My pork chop was very thick, like a filet, which is okay, but it wasn't what I expected. I prefer a thin pork chop, so that it cooks all the way through (more solid, not soft). It was passable. The beans and rice (Hoppin' John) were also not what I was expecting; I was thinking more New Orleans-style, but they were bland, like cream of mushroom soup on unseasoned beans and rice. We ordered the banana pudding for dessert. We ended up waiting for that for ~20 minutes as well, a half-pint glass of banana pudding with underripe bananas mixed in. Note to the chef: heat ripens bananas, so you could toss a few in a skillet with a little oil in a pinch (egg yolks also work). We waited for another 10 minutes, and I finally went inside and asked the hostess for the check. I realize it is difficult to serve, but you must also consider asking your colleagues for help if you have too much going on. All in all, the food was satisfactory, but the service was lacking. We ended up waiting an hour longer than we should have had to. I semi-recommend Farm and Oak, but look to be seated with the better server, John. He and the hostess saved our experience.

The burger had cheese on it that they attempted to scrape off and serve to me! I DO NOT EAT CHEESE!!! The chicken sandwich was devoured by my son. The fried chicken was hot but bland. The cornbread was the best part of my meal - soft and sweet just like I like it. I won't be back personally, but my son may come back. I do not appreciate being given a burger with cheese. If they messed it up, don't try to be slick and scrape it off. Make your customer a brand new one. To prevent me from complaining, my family member just took it to go to eat later himself. Spending over $50, our food should be as ordered. They needed to clean their lobby & the trash attracted gnats and other flying bugs all around the restaurant.
