I love Panera bread for the consistency and quality I find no matter which one I go to. Unfortunately I have had multiple issues at this location and maddeningly it always seems to be on the small things. Occasionally they will miss an extra item ordered such as baguette or chips. I've learned to double check my orders but it is an inconvenience to have to take that extra step myself. Another issue is that this location can be extremely busy and the parking for pick up is right on a major roadway that comes in and out of the parking lot. Pedestrians and fast drivers are something you should be weary at if you are parking in the order pick up and I highly recommend backing into the parking spot to make sure you don't have to deal with crazy drivers. Food wise I like to keep it simple with a turkey sandwich or if I'm feeling extra fancy make the roasted turkey with avocado. There is enough variety however for families with varying tastes. read more

I ordered for pick up at this location. I ordered the Bacon Chicken Rancher sandwich. It was just ok. It was lacking chicken overwhelmingly too much bread. I also ordered creamy chicken wild rice soup. I didn't get that. I got chicken noodle soup and it wasn't filled to the top and just looked odd. Smear marks around container. I prefer the Rancho Cordova location. They take a little more pride in what they serve a customer. Not happy. No one answers the phone. I won't be going to this location again. read more

I abhor this Panera. In general, I like the company and their products. I don't know if it's this specific location, or what, but time and time again, I've been dissatisfied with my experience. I keep going back because I am always pleased at other locations, nothing over the moon, but my order expectations are met, elsewhere. This location has let me down for the last time. The service is terrible, they cannot do anything efficiently, and when you notify them of a mistake, they thank you and don't even offer an apology. I got concern when they sent me out with only half my order. I returned, Tristan says, "Missing a Tuscan sandwich?" I'm like, yeah. He goes, "thanks for coming back." He's part of their leadership! If he doesn't care, why should anyone else?! It seems like they're severely understaffed, since the bathroom and dining room are frequently in need of attention, garbages overflowing, and debris all over the place. I was so upset with myself for going back this time. It made me super late back to work as a result of all their shenanigans. I just know I can't rely on them to follow-thru. The app was apologizing for missing the window. The only reason they got two stars from me was because my food was correctly prepared this time, and tasted great. In the past, they've stuffed whatever they had left in our bag and then closed for the day so nothing could be done. I'm hustling over it. Won't even go to another Panera now. Just deleted the app, altogether. read more

Terribly slow service here. Waaay slower then a damn restaurant. Do not go here unless you have a lot of time to waste waiting for food. Make sure your not hungry when you show up. read more

This review is for Sherrie, who went above and beyond for us today. A family member recently lost their uncle and I wanted to provide them dinner. Since their daughter loves Panera, I ordered online from this location yesterday for delivery to their home today. The Dasher got there to find that Panera was running behind. He called me and said he'd have to cancel. I asked him to tell them the situation, so he did, but then he bailed - even though Sherrie had already rushed my order after learning that this was for a grieving family member. I called the store frustrated, not knowing they'd prioritized the order, and Sherrie answered. She immediately offered to call DoorDash on my behalf and request another Dasher. Talk about excellent service! She contacted them and was able to get someone else to come out and deliver. read more

I really love this location for getting work done/Wi-Fi. Their tables are always super clean and most spots have outlets readily available . Staff is super friendly. HOWEVER the coffee is always super bitter. Coffee is typically my go to for work breaks when I need to get online and get some work done - however this location is not the place for that, stick to the tea or soft drinks.. read more

This Panera has very good seating, the check in kiosks are great and the food comes out magically fast , I appreciate when I am in Elk Grove that I can get here order eat and be out in 20ish minutes. The options are great, it is also really nice to be able to order to-go they have it ready and waiting for pickup , that is very convenient, this place can get packed so it's nice to order ahead before lunch or dinner rush , come check this place out, when whether permits the outside dining is refreshing read more

My bowl comes with a bread and they just threw it in the bag with no wrap/ something to cover it. I had to throw it away because it's unsanitary! Never again ordering Panera (this is the second time they do this with my take out). read more

Since I wrote my original review I have returned over 2 dozen times so I kind of changed my mind about this place. The first time I had the French Onion Soup and felt it was lacking. On my next trip in I found the salt and pepper packets and that is all the soup was lacking. I had a salad yesterday and it was very good. Now that Winter is over, it's salads and sandwiches until soup season next Fall read more

Panera Bond road. Please please level up your game. Don't be desperate and settle down with rude, zero customer service employee like the counter lady today with the clear glasses. This morning, she took my order, she laughed in a mean way while I was ordering and when I wanted to add more she said "that's it for you, you're done". I was confused! I mean did they even train their staff? Let me teach you - the lady with clear glasses ...you should repeat to check customer's order if you got it right or not before even saying anything. I reported this issue to the manager hoping they'll take action. This is unacceptable, makes Panera cheap and low class. I hope it won't happen to anyone after today. Train your employees please or better yet assign those rude ones to clean the toilet and mop floor and learn their manners first. read more

Came here today for light dinner. Got the usual Pick 2! I think they added more sandwhich items on the menu. The last time I was here we tried to use the kiosk to order, but it didn't work. --Today we tried to use the kiosk again.. didn't work. Not sure why its there if it doesn't work? RAW CHICKEN Raw chicken, I didn't even eat my other half of sandwich. Seemed like the workers didn't care when I told them. They said it already comes in cooked but obviously it's RAW. They didn't even offer to make me another half a sandwich. I only took one bit. Bad customer service. I will think about it twice if I want to come eat here again. read more

I can't express how very disappointed I was at the "signature chicken" sandwich I had there on Fri 22nd of July! If that's the best, no need to have anything else!! Came to the store to order cinnamon bagel ham and cheese and was told this can only be ordered online and they're unable to take my order. You need to assess your menu items accessibility as this was very inconvenient and frustrating for your patrons. The cashier was very nice though and helpful with assisting me in ordering online however this does not make sense as I'm already there and obviously holding up the line. Well strawberry flavored smoothie not a real smoothie went in trash prior to leaving. Asked for no arugula on sandwich they put plenty on it. Bread soaked with sauce, could not eat it. Uh what chicken. My advise if you go there eat it there. Might be better prepared. read more

First of all, I am not really a big Panera fan. The food here is just meh at best. I ordered here because I have a Sip Club membership and I got treated to one of the worst customer service. Snotty, unhelpful, lazy, uninformed, and indifferent employees. Makes you feel you are dealing with your teenage daughter. I am unsubscribing from the Sip Club just so I won't have to deal with them. This place has ridiculous bad customer service. Ordered "Rapid Pick Up" - well this is a lie - bad advertising- I can sue!!! This is not the first time but I don't know why I keep going back to Panera. Anywhere you go it's always a bad experience for me - either missing an order, wrong order, never on time order and bad employee customer service. I don't think they have such... Panera at Marketplace Bond road - the manager Leilani (not sure of spelling), why is she a manager? no customer service, cannot manage her disrespectful staff and I don't think she knows what she's doing. One of her staff - young white long blonde girl ridiculed me by saying to fellow coworker at the preparation area "the old lady keeps saying she has a baby in the car and laughed". I maybe old but my hearing is good- if she cannot help with my issue, she should just shut up. Yes, I am very upset with this Panera. I don't think they will ever improve- so this is the ultimatum- never buying anything from Panera ever again. I'm sure there are others with same experience. Panera only care about making money and not the customers!!! I don't mind the cost of their merchandise, they do have decent food. Just the bad service!!! Train your employees!!! read more

Cold day and the perfect weather for Panera's autumn butternut squash soup. Panera if you are listening, we need the butternut squash soup all year long! It's my absolute favorite so I am sure to take advantage when it's in season. I neglected to remember this particular location didn't have drive thru and I was trying to multitask. As I parked the car I noticed the curbside parking....go Panera! Whipped out my phone, tapped the app and ordered in less than two minutes. Not two minutes later, a young lady was at my car with piping, hot, vibrant, turmeric yellow goodness and a crunchy cold apple to get the flavor carnival started. I forgot to take a pic, sorry friends! I always enjoy the fun texture of the seed garnish on the soup and baby that first spoonful...touched my soul like a warm blanket on a cold night, cozied on the lazy boy with a jumbo mug of salted caramel hot cocoa. Whew, I just can't get enough! Panera if you ever eliminate the butternut squash soup, we are gonna stop speaking! Thank you for putting a smile on my tummy, again! read more

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Panera today! They have nice outdoor seating, all in the shade, which made lunch very enjoyable. Their seasonal strawberry caprese salad was very fresh and delish! My daughter had a really yummy Bacon Mac dish. I like the self ordering option and the food came out incredibly quick. They also have a great iced tea selection. They have an outside pickup location for all online orders, so it seems like they are adjusting to the new protocols well. I don't eat here, it's been ages but glad to see that they are still an American Chain offering something other than the typical Hamburger and supersize fries. Although, the amount of time it took for two soups and salad seems a bit rediculous. read more

For those who do takeout, please check your order before bringing it home. There is an 80% the staff will forget something in it. Either something as simple as not putting croutons for your soup one day to completely not giving your soup at all. I notice this store has gone downhill the last 6 months so I'm not sure what incompetence or simply lazy people they decided to hire. Its sad when a place that is a good chain hire lazy workers who can't do a simple job. read more

For all the times that I've been here, the LIVE SPIDER in my meal when I came with my boys. And the recent DEAD FLY in my girl friends sandwich, cannot in good faith have me keep my original 4 star rating. The first time I got my money back and comped a free meal during my next visit. The second time I just got my money back. So with those two experiences, and although the other visits were fine. Can't keep me leaving my original rating, but I didn't think because of the other visits made them deserve a 1-Star! read more

The first time I tried this place, I ordered a BBQ Chicken Salad to go and my boyfriend got a soup in a bowl. I thought it was okay, my boyfriend didn't like it. The Greek salad there is delicious though. Today I got the pick two for like 6$ something. I got the Turkey Sierra sandwich with the Greek salad. Omg I am in love with that sandwich! The customer service is good. I don't have any complaints. Love the sandwich though! Update: I came here to get my free pastry. I got the Cinnamon Roll. I tried the avocado chicken melt which was good. It had salt on the top, crunchy and it was delicious. I wish the sandwich was a little bigger. What a bad experience. Frank shouldn't be a manager. Person that took order was kind, nice, but the guy that is in charge is a dumb business man(lost a $40 sale and good review, because he gave me the wrong type of bread and took it back) He said they will donate it, so how that makes sense is funny to me. Refunded the order and walked out. Asked for a district manager since this guy really shouldn't be managing a store, and he didn't give me the contact. Went back on his iPad and ignored me after I took my refund and refunded the gratuity I added on my bill. Oh and a manager that shrugs his shoulder to someone is not really a pleasant person to be around. He said it didn't care bc it was a franchise not corporate store. Great. read more

Came here for breakfast on Veteran's day with the hubby. Ordered a small coffee along with a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The coffee bar needed attention considering the mess of coffee drippings and spills. Half and half was empty, no napkins provided in the dispenser, and only 2 stirring sticks were left in the container. My breakfast sandwich was very bland and unfulfilling. Not enough eggs or sausages. The bread was too thick and hard to chew into. Service was subpar. Walked up to pick up my order, asked the lady which plate was mine since there were multiple sandwiches lined up. She pointed without saying a word or expressed a smile. Said thank you, but of course there was no response. Not the ideal spot for breakfast. Resorted here for breakfast only because there was a 45 minute wait at Black Bear Diner across the street. read more

I came in during lunch hour and the customer service was awful. The employees were talking about non related work topics while they had 10 people waiting for over 20 minutes. I was on a 30 minute lunch and it took me 28 minutes to receive my order. After the 3rd time checking on my order they tell me I was only waiting on a fruit cup while having a manager on sight. It is ridiculous how long my order was sitting out over a fruit cup when I seen them make it under 3 minutes. read more

I forgot to have my receipt printed after using the guest kiosk. I called later that week to have it printed. I spoke with Chyanne who was amazing and super helpful. She was able to find it right away and said she would have it printed with a note for the other employees so I could pick it up the next morning. I came by the next morning and was there for 40 minutes waiting while the employee went to check. She said she couldn't find the receipt and seemed frustrated. I said I would call back or drop by during another time when Chyanne was working. I called and she was able to pull up the receipt I was looking for. She even went out of her way to ask her supervisor to find a way to email it to me so I wouldn't have to waste time coming into the store. I really appreciated how nice she was and how she went the extra mile. I hope that there's some way management will see this and can give her a raise! I don't usually write reviews but she was awesome and went above and beyond. I haven't had such a great customer experience in a long time. read more

With the prices they carry you would think Panera would toast the grilled cheese, and use "real cheese"... soggy and yucky cheese. We waited for 20 mins outside as we got order to go and they told us they would bring it to us. Finally walked in to see the hold up and food was on counter in bag.(reason smoothie was watered down) I grabbed it left and headed to soccer game. If I didn't throw my receipt away and had time I would of got a refund. The apple was even old! Only thing tasty in that bag was tho chips for $17.00. So upsetting. read more

The salads here are so good as well as the soups in the bread bowls. The staff was super helpful helpful us pick out new menu items to fit our vegan diet because our usual orders were seasonal (poppyseed dressing salad and 10 vegetable soup ). We always come here and love it! read more

I can finish the entire thing but if you have a smaller appetite you might want to share. I recommend asking for noodles on the side as it risks them getting soggy. I ended up nibbling on those afterwards since I was so disappointed by the calamari. I had a small bite of my husband's pho bowl (pretty decent amount for a small) and honestly wish I had gotten that instead of my dish. My vermicelli dish had a meager amount of beef and didn't hold much of any of the flavor I tried to add. Perhaps I didn't add enough sauce or seasonings (I don't usually get vermicelli dishes). Still, I think I enjoy the overall experience of eating pho more since I can always easily take a sip of the broth to chase my food down. I probably will go back to my usual places for pho, but I feel there are still some dishes where this place shines. Unfortunately, those weren't the ones we ordered this time.

One thing I didn't like was how low the exhaust vent hangs over the grill. It made cooking a bit difficult. We raised it higher, but the staff lowered it again because there was too much smoke. The AYCE experience includes a two-hour dining limit, and you can order up to three appetizers and three protein selections at a time. The beef selection included many of the same cuts we usually order at other KBBQ restaurants. While the quality was decent, some of the marinades were underwhelming. For example, the soy garlic beef belly was topped with sliced garlic but didn't have any of the "soy" on it . The marinated finger ribs had a nice texture and chew, but I could barely taste any marinade. The LA galbi was one of the better options, and my orders were not overly fatty. The popcorn chicken looked like it came straight from the bottom of the bucket. Most of it was tiny crumbs and fried bits rather than actual pieces of chicken. I also appreciated that the pineapple was fresh rather than canned. The scallion salad was another highlight--it included lettuce and scallions tossed in a light soy-based dressing. Our server, Brandon, was excellent. Since it was our first visit, he provided helpful recommendations and made the experience more enjoyable. Service was efficient, and our food arrived quickly throughout the meal.

Server gave us the bill, upon review, we noticed a "1/2 Caesar Salad" and a corresponding $13 charge, not $5... Certainly NOT what we ordered . We explained to the Server the error and she apologized, said the bill will be corrected. Upon the Server's return, she said she was sorry and informed us we ordered the Caesar, not the regular $5 salad. Really? Instead of correcting their mistake, we now found ourselves having to explain to the Server, twice what actually happened while she took our order, I pointed out to their menu and I said "we wanted to add the $5.00 salad". That was it! We never asked for the Caesar, and specially a "half-order". The Server emphatically refused to correct the mistake. Obviously her decision would have never be my choice, had I been the Server, or the owner of the restaurant. We hate giving bad reviews, but being unnecessarily placed in this awkward position we did not appreciate it.

I come to this Panera bread quite often especially to do some studying. This location has always had lovely service but this past time I went in, they exceeded my expectations. I had a temporary gift card that had an expiration date I was not aware of. So as I was at the counter ordering my lunch, I asked the kind girl behind the register if they can perhaps honor my $10.00 gift card, as I was only a couple of days late. She called the manager, Cheri, and when she came over she recognized me by face, as I am at this location a couple of times a week. Cheri went ahead and assured me that she would honor the gift card. After honoring the card, I still owed another $2-3.00 and while I was pulling out my card to pay, Cheri acknowledged that she took care of the remainder for me and that I was all set to go. On top of that, they had run out of kale for my salad and told me that they would call me back up when my order was ready. Instead, I was surprised to see a young lady bringing my meal to my table, while apologizing for any inconvenience. That is proper customer service right there. I recently had a disappointing experience with an online order pickup at Panera (8519 Bond Rd #106, Elk Grove, CA 95624). Despite placing my order online, the service fell far short of expectations. The bagels I ordered sliced and toasted arrived unsliced and untoasted. Additionally, the cinnamon rolls were carelessly thrown into a bag instead of being properly packaged, and they were not warmed up as requested. When I called to discuss these issues with a manager, named Ted or Tim (couldn't understand his name clearly), I was met with poor treatment and unprofessionalism. The manager's dismissive attitude and lack of accountability left me deeply dissatisfied. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns, the manager simply said, "yeah, OK," and hung up on me. As a result of this experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere and support smaller, locally-owned establishments where customer service and quality are valued. I will be directing my patronage to Heritage Rise Sourdough, where I can trust in excellent service and genuine care for their customers. Panera has lost a loyal customer due to their disappointing service and management. read more

We ordered the turkey sandwich with mozzarella cheese, chicken pesto sandwich and a BLT sandwich. Each sandwich was filled with a reasonable amount of meat, cheese and toppings. The manager was so kind to us and even checked up on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal. They ran out of the tea we had wanted which was unfortunate but the manager gave us a cookie on the house due to the inconvenience. Overall our experience at this specific location was great and felt this was a wonderful first impression of this franchise.

Staff taking orders quick and moving quickly as they could with two staff. One of them would bring the orders to your table which was a nice touch. Food: This is where it all starts falling apart. First they seem to have supply issues. Out of salami, the soda machine was out of syrup for most of the drinks. The chips were not stocked fully and they had boxes set aside but not opened. Not sure if I as a customer can open those boxes. There was a lot of missing items at this store and that's hard to stomach. For reference I visited this location at 1PM on a Saturday. Otherwise, the food was decent. A little light on the protein on the Cholula chicken, another miss. Missing a lot of items is killer and there seemed to be overall disorganization at this business. Hard to imagine going to this place again with all the options around.

The chicken bites were ok, not bad but not the best chicken nugget type food I've had. The BbQ burger here is one of my favorite. I wish there was more bacon in the burger but it's pretty usual for burger places to not have much. I like this burger for the bbq sauce that goes in the burger. It's not too sweet to me and not too dense. I grab some spicy yellow peppers from the condiment area and I'm good for dinner. Until next time when my wife and I argue about what we want for dinner.

We arrived before our meals were ready so we waited an additional 15 minutes. We left with our order, and stuck my hand in the bag for a couple of fries while it was hot. Unfortunately, the fries were barely warm, and not crisp, so I was pretty disappointed. The Habit Burger was okay, but the child's burger was a little underwhelming with a patty and ketchup in a bun.

The people here have honestly been some of the nicest people I've met. When I say this "Sandwich Spot" is the best, well I've been to a few in town and they all kind of miss the mark, but this one doesn't. The bomb sauce is a must and they don't skimp at this location. My two favorite sandwiches are "The Pride" and "The JFK" with bomb sauce on Dutch Crunch. The inside is meaty, saucy and has the right amount of greens. It's been my go to since 2018/2019 for sandwiches if I can catch them when they are opened. Prices haven't really inflated which is nice to see and the inside although small is cozy. Traffic in old town gets pretty bad so the best way to get here is usually from Elk Grove Florin Road the making a left onto Elk Grove Blvd and it'll be on the right side. If you come in from the other direction you may be stuck in the median for a while. The only real downside is the hours during the weekday, so it's best to go during the weekend or if you live close by, visit during lunch during the weekday.
