I frequently do mobile order and select pick up as the option. Today was no exception. I ordered Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich & Chicken & Wild Rice Soup, Mac and cheese and flat bread cheese pizza and a Diet Pepsi. I put the bag in my car and when I got home, the soup spelt everywhere. Whoever that packaged the food did not close the lid on the container. Everything was soaked by the soup. The only thing that wasn't touched was the flat bread cheese pizza because that was packaged with a box. It was quite disappointing that I had to toss everything away and wasted my money plus I had to clean my car because it leaked on my seats through the paper bag. read more

1st time customer w/on-line order. Better than expected with service and correction on cost from manager. Unfortunately, 2nd order was not the same. Order not ready, items missing. Charged $2 for 1 mini brownie that had to be reimbursed from coupon. Seriously?!? $2 for a mini brownie??? NO THANK YOU. Will NOT return no matter what! If you know Panera this store is just fine. You know what you're getting. Service is hit or miss. Depending on if it's some kid (mentality not age) who hates their job or an adult who takes professionalism seriously, will dictate the type of service you get. In short they're not all polite and customer service oriented. But it's a tough job so I DO take that into consideration. I'm sure there are a lot of customers who are supremely entitled a*holes so I factor that into the experience. Taste wise and quality wise you'll get what you expect if you're familiar with Panera. If you're not, try it it's pretty good. Just a little pricey which is the only major downside. Definitely feel like you're not getting a value for sure. But nevertheless, food is usually fresh and it's above average. read more

Instructions not followed and an item was unavailable, which was substituted for something that I did not request. In addition, I don't know if the driver could read , or what. Clearly did not follow instructions for drop off. My drink had no stopper and my order was left on the rug when the instructions were to leave on either table. That is what the tables are there for, food delivered. read more

My coworkers were starving Friday morning so we ordered breakfast from Panera! I've never had Panera breakfast but their breakfast sandwiches looked super yummy! I went with a bacon, egg and white cheddar sandwich in brioche. I also had the option to add spinach and tomato at no extra charge! When I picked up the order, the gals behind the counter were very friendly. Because I ordered online they were unable to get me a copy of my itemized receipt so make sure you print out from the online order if you need it! My sandwich was good. I just wish there was some sort of sauce to keep it moister because it was a little dry. I do wish they had a few more options for sandwiches, like a variety so maybe I'll try a pastry next time. read more

Just had to try the new melt sandwiches and it was disappointing. We ordered the pepperoni melt and the Green Goddess Caprese Melt. It is not like it's photo. Not enough pepperoni and cheese on one sandwich. The other sandwich not enough greens and cheese. I'm glad I also ordered a Greek salad to fill us. Also not usual but my order was not ready as time promised. read more

Unfortunately all of the staff here are inconsistent and need re training including the manangers. All I will say, is that I ordered a chicken avocado bacon sandwich, and all I got was bread with sauce and pieces of lettuce in it. That is all. read more

Need a place to relax or study? Go to panera bread. This franchise has a nack of making it feel home-ey. I personally like their meal bundles and their coffee. The meal bundles consist of a mix of soup, salad, and or sandwich. Plus buy one cup of coffee, get an unlimited dose while you are there. Ordering ahead is also a breeze. All you had to do is pick up. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Wow, totally disappointed this morning. I ordered the bacon double take sandwich which there was nothing double about this one. The advertisement showed bacon falling off the sides of the bread when I got the sandwich I couldn't even find the bacon until I opened it. there was only a few morsels in there. Also, I ordered the cup of fresh fruit and not one single piece was sweet. Everything in that cup was sour. And to top it off when I brought it to the cooks attention, she showed a little resentment for me, even asking for my fruit. the sandwich was 90% cheese and bread totally not worth the eight dollars it cost me. so sad because every other visit I've been here has been satisfactory but not today for some reason. read more

I need to make it clear that this review is directed at upper management at this location. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON you should have only one person on the register during a Sunday lunch rush. She was AWESOME and so nice and was juggling handing out mobile orders and taking register orders. The people waiting to order were being SO rude to her because it was so busy. The managers at this location are horrible and don't deserve their positions. Go help the super young employees up front. This is a regular occurrence. You need to take care of your employees. Do what she was doing and then tell her it's ok to have her working that rush alone. The 3 people making food were just chatting and told us to ask the girl at the register for our food instead of helping her out even though they were clearly less busy than her. Will be reporting to corporate about this. read more

There's no chicken in my (already too-expensive) Sesame chicken salad. It was to go, so of course I didn't know until after I was far, far away... I tried to eat it anyway, despite it being a $12 bowl of lettuce and wonton strips, and the dressing was basically just oil. I've come to Panera Bread multiple times. I can appreciate that they have multiple kiosks to help with self ordering. I also love that they have free Wi-Fi & a lot of seating area. They have tables for one & also for groups. This is an ideal place to study by yourself but also have meetings or gatherings with a group. The food came out timely. I would say that the breakfast sandwich was basic, nothing too special. The latte was good & the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I do think overall, the menu items are overpriced. I definitely would come here to study or have a meeting, but the food here for its price is not filling/satisfying. read more

I thought it was a noodle, but I kept chewing on it and it came out to be a plastic piece in my soup we told management all the said is we can give you a refund which is kind of shit. read more

As fellow Yelper mentioned, since joining their Unlimited Sip Club, there have been issues with getting drinks in a timely manner. At the Delta Shores location, you can just pick up a cup at the self-order kiosk after you place your order for the self-serve drinks. I also wished their charged lemonades were also self service because I have to wait for them to fulfill my order if I get a lemonade. After waiting 5 minutes past the estimated pick up time (in addition to my experience with waiting longer than that in previous visits), I decided to just walk up to the cashier who wasn't preoccupied already to get my drink. She was very nice about it and apologized for the wait. Even if my drink wasn't a charged lemonade this time, I would still have to ask for the cup or wait until my order was fulfilled. In previous visits I have waited about 10-15 minutes before just walking up to them anyway, so I decided 5 minutes was fair especially since the cashiers weren't busy and the lemonade was right there. Shortly after the cashier went to fill up my drink, another employee walked past me and kindly asked if I needed any help, which I appreciate...just that it's more efficient if they could have someone designated to make drinks as they're ordered rather than have the food preparers also prepare drinks. I'd recommend walking up to the cashier to order in-person rather than order through the kiosk or do curbside pickup, because the pickup window employees/food preparers are so busy that if you're ordering only a drink/drinks, it'll take a long time for you to get! If you do opt for kiosk, it's probably best to go to the cashier and get your drink/cup. I still very much appreciate the service at this location! read more

I've ordered from Panera a handful of times over the last couple weeks since I joined their unlimited drink program. Unfortunately most of my orders result in an issue and I'm getting pretty tired of it. We usually order curbside pickup when we come in person to get our food so that we don't have to take our son out of the car seat. However every time we come, it takes forever to get our food even though it's way past our scheduled order pickup time. The order pickup time is almost pointless because we still end up waiting at least 10-15 minutes. I'm sure it would be faster to get out and pickup inside, but again we chose curbside for a reason and if they're not going to deliver efficiently, it defeats the purpose. Unfortunately there's no way to place a rating on the app for each order - I wish there was so I could provide some feedback on whoever was delivering. Today the person who brought my food out to the car (15 mins past pickup time) strolled up like she had nothing better to do with her time. Unfortunately also had another issue with my order today - a missing sandwich. The curbside bags are always stapled shut and in the past I've sometimes seen them mark off items on the receipt, assuming that someone's double checking. I really should double check myself because I didn't know the sandwich was missing until we got home! I called and called the store until finally someone picked up. It's a 15 minute drive so I was not going to come back for half of a sandwich. The guy who answered, Frank, took down my name and number and said I could come back another time for a full sandwich and pastry for my trouble. I appreciated how he handled it, but he seemed so numb to my complaint and responded so quickly that it almost seems like this is a regular occurrence to them, which is unfortunate because they're losing a lot of money by compensating for these missed orders. I had another issue last week and I had also spoken to the same person, Frank. He was much more upbeat and apologetic on that phone call. This issue wasn't related to Panera itself, just the Doordash delivery driver that got assigned to my order, but I'm bringing it up so I can reference how Frank handled it. He was super proactive and contacted Doordash for a full refund even though only one of my items was missing. I really appreciated how helpful he was and quick to go out of his way to help me. He was very apologetic during this call even though it wasn't his fault at all. Overall I'm not super eager to continue coming back here the more things go wrong, even if I have the unlimited drink program. It's such a hassle to keep dealing with these things that shouldn't be issues. They probably even know my name because I keep taking to the same person which makes me feel bad because it makes me feel like they think I am making things up to get free stuff, which definitely is not the case. I'd just like my correct order and on time for once! read more

I like Panera and I aim to keep my reviews positive and not unleash on businesses especially during this time when I know that good staff is hard to come by and that many business are struggling. I visited this location two days ago. Although the wait was about 30 minutes, my food was good, exactly as I ordered it but they were out of the baguette that came with my order. That's not a big deal, however I witnessed several customers complain about getting incorrect orders. But today they got my goat! I ordered a jalapeño cheese bagel and when I tell you my bagel was flat (as a piece of bread) please believe me. I was starving so i ate half the bagel. The taste and texture was off. The bagel was clearly not cooked properly and instead of respecting the fact that people expect good tasting bread from a place that specializes in bread, the staff decided to serve this item to a paying customer. So I called and spoke to the manager, Frank. While Frank did offer to give me something on my next visit I found him rude and unprofessional. He spoke over me and was unwilling to listen to my concerns. What I realized today is the business doing well in this economy appreciate their customers. They listen and they want us to be satisfied. I didn't care about getting a free bagel, I like Panera. It's close to my house and I like the offerings, but I'd rather NOT frequent a place that doesn't value me and my hard earned money. That serves bad food or doesn't keep a clean lobby. Presentation is everything. People choose to do business with you. You should do better Panera! read more

This place is ok but I think they could do better. Food is decent and the bakery selections are plentiful. They have a kiosk now where you can order from. Frankly, the portions are kinda small compared to what you're paying for. Soup and salad selections are good but they could be a little bit more generous with their sandwiches. read more

This is by far our favorite Panera store. My daughter and I used to come every Friday before she went to school to get bagels and coffee and they were always quick even when they are busy. The food is always so good and the workers there are super nice! We love how they were open during COVID with the orders for pick up. The bacon turkey bravo is always our favorite along with either a soup or salad. My husband just tried their new southwestern Caesar salad and said it was amazing! Definitely looks good so I'll have to try it next time. I highly recommend coming here for your Panera fixings. read more

We just got our Chicken poppy seed salads. Two full orders there was hardly any Chicken in it. Plenty of fresh greens, strawberries, blueberries and two tiny pieces of pineapple and mandarin oranges and four small pieces of chicken. No pecans and all. Big disappointment. This happened last time. Also you have to ask for extra dressing because the cups they use are now smaller and barely filled half way. This use to be our favorite salad. Not anymore. read more

Haven't been here in some time...but it's still an awesome place for bread, soup and salad. The customer service is good, per usual. The menu was revamped but the old staples are still in place. The downside is...it appears that the costs have increased and since items are made to order, the wait can be longer than typical fast food places but overall they still great selections if your seeking a light bite. read more

The food is pretty good, but quite expensive in my opinion. But here is the reason why for 1 star. I've ordered from this location all the time. My last order was incorrect (see pictures). I ordered 8 lemon cookies. Why were only 6 cookies delivered? And why were none of them the lemon cookies. I have to say, the lemon cookies are delicious, but again a bit on the expensive side, but worth the splurge once in a while. But man, the time I splurged, I do not get any lemon cookies. How disappointing is this. And what a huge waste of money in these tough times. So disappointed. read more

Their prices have become out of control and they promise to go orders quickly and are always late and this morning, there is a guy inside the restaurant with a dog and it is not a service dog and when I asked about it, the cashier said they don't even bother to ask. Dogs do not belong inside restaurants, unless they are actual service dogs. I have a dog and I always sit outside. read more

I dined in for Broccoli Cheddar soup. The portion was clearly smaller than the previous dozen times I've had it. Approached employee who said, policy is three ladles, but took no action to see if correct for my order. Previous review: I ordered rapid pick-up. Quoted 8 minutes prior to ordering. Ten minutes later I receive am email stating it will be ready in 12 minutes. At the store there is a long line, so I felt that I at least was smart to order in advance. NOT. After watching every person get served that was in line, I cancelled and left. Bottom line: Rapid pickup is just a phrase. You are better off just waiting in line when you arrived. read more

Unfortunately I use to remember this place being a lot better! Service is extremely slow and the portions are lacking for the price. I Paid for iced coffee and ended up getting Diet Pepsi instead. The iced coffee was empty myself and others asked for more iced coffee. Waited for more than 20 minutes and finally had to leave! Kind of disappointed I didn't get the iced coffee I paid for. I guess I didn't need it anyways. Hopefully next time! read more

Great meeting place with lots of clean tables, people doing lots of different hobbies and welcoming for a group to play board games. Not the cleanest bathroom, menu is kind of pricy for the options available which are mostly low calorie whereas someone on that weighs less wants more calories for what you pay. Decently tasting food though. read more

I Panera but tonight made me think differently. They was out of almost everything, I asked if the chicken salad had fruit in it and she said no it doesn't. Well y'all it has fruit in it. Great assortment of skewers with generous mala sauce and flavor. Hot pot is packed with ingredients with generous serving out meat. I can finish the entire thing but if you have a smaller appetite you might want to share. I recommend asking for noodles on the side as it risks them getting soggy. Located right off Grant Line in the Sheldon area of Elk Grove, the restaurant is not big, but still has ample seating. The private parking lot has never been full when I've eaten there, but I also have never gone on a weekend. I usually enjoy coming when they very first open, and am always seated immediately. During lunch rush, I have noticed it can get pretty busy, with patrons dining in and to go orders alike. The owner is so nice and I rarely even look at the menu since I always know what I want. I don't usually order drinks as I like to get matcha in Elk Grove, but the one time I got a Thai tea, it was perfectly balanced with a good strength to it. Their menu on the whole is small, but still varied, so there is something for everyone's cravings. If you follow their Facebook page, they will announce weekend specials as well, so stay tuned for those. I come to this Panera bread quite often especially to do some studying. This location has always had lovely service but this past time I went in, they exceeded my expectations. I had a temporary gift card that had an expiration date I was not aware of. So as I was at the counter ordering my lunch, I asked the kind girl behind the register if they can perhaps honor my $10.00 gift card, as I was only a couple of days late. She called the manager, Cheri, and when she came over she recognized me by face, as I am at this location a couple of times a week. Cheri went ahead and assured me that she would honor the gift card. After honoring the card, I still owed another $2-3.00 and while I was pulling out my card to pay, Cheri acknowledged that she took care of the remainder for me and that I was all set to go. On top of that, they had run out of kale for my salad and told me that they would call me back up when my order was ready. Instead, I was surprised to see a young lady bringing my meal to my table, while apologizing for any inconvenience. That is proper customer service right there. I recently had a disappointing experience with an online order pickup at Panera (8519 Bond Rd #106, Elk Grove, CA 95624). Despite placing my order online, the service fell far short of expectations. The bagels I ordered sliced and toasted arrived unsliced and untoasted. Additionally, the cinnamon rolls were carelessly thrown into a bag instead of being properly packaged, and they were not warmed up as requested. When I called to discuss these issues with a manager, named Ted or Tim (couldn't understand his name clearly), I was met with poor treatment and unprofessionalism. The manager's dismissive attitude and lack of accountability left me deeply dissatisfied. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns, the manager simply said, "yeah, OK," and hung up on me. As a result of this experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere and support smaller, locally-owned establishments where customer service and quality are valued. I will be directing my patronage to Heritage Rise Sourdough, where I can trust in excellent service and genuine care for their customers. Traffic in old town gets pretty bad so the best way to get here is usually from Elk Grove Florin Road the making a left onto Elk Grove Blvd and it'll be on the right side. The only real downside is the hours during the weekday, so it's best to go during the weekend or if you live close by, visit during lunch during the weekday.

Had to eat rest of the bites paired with my fries (good thing I got plain fries) cos I was starving! Not sure if I will be returning after this. Just all around not a good experience for me.

I ordered the chicken strips and ended up with eight pieces along with a generous portion of fries. Everything came out hot and fresh--the chicken was moist, and the fries were perfectly crispy. I tried the mango habanero and garlic Parmesan flavors, and both were very enjoyable. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a bit more seasoning or sauce, but that's a minor preference since the meal was still very tasty overall. What stood out most to me was that everything was cooked well and served hot. The customer service was fantastic, and they were very generous with sides like ranch and ketchup, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely return next time I'm in town--next time, I'll just ask for a little extra sauce on the side.

I was coming back towards the Sacramento area with my crew last week after finishing field location…read morework further south in Modesto. We needed some dinner quick and I checked the GPS and this Black Bear Diner came up nearby. I've had pretty good luck with Back Bear in the past, so I decide to come here. The inside looks similar to all the other Black Bears, you'd expect that with a big chain like this. The server was over ight away and took my order. I've seen the fish and chips on the menu before, but never had it , till now! It arrives with 3 pretty decent sized fried fish pieces. It's some white fish, not sure which one, pretty sure it's not halibut though. It's probably pollock I think. It came with a big pile of chips (fries in American!) It included coleslaw and a salad. The salad was decent and had good tomatoes. The house 1000 island dressing was good too. The coleslaw was a bit too wet for my taste, but it is what it is here, I'd get more fries instead of the coleslaw. Someone else on the crew got the steak and eggs and another got some slad with meat on ot, I forgot wha tit was called. Overall it was a good experience and I'd come back.
