Parking and location is great for quick running in and out which I did to claim by birthday pastry, an orange scone, that thanks to the preservatives still tasted right a day later. I am astonished at the popularity of these fast casual chains charging as much for less food compared to Chili's and Outback and most any local restaurant. While I don't frequent this establishment often, there are a few menu items I do like and will come back for. They no longer offer my favorite bacon turkey bravo sandwich. They've revamped their menu and now offer a bravo club which includes ham and not the same cheese as the original sandwich.........I didn't enjoy it. The baked goods variety and amount within that variety are now sad at most any Panera I go to. Panera used to be known for a huge selection of baked goods and treats. And any leftovers were donated. Went to Panera for the first time in a long time. First time at this location. I was shocked at how high prices have risen but figured the food has always been good quality and quantity wise, so I didn't mind initially as everything has gone up. Well let me tell you, it definitely was not worth what I paid! A medium tea was $3.09! $3.09 for slightly flavored water?!! Then I ordered the pick 2. That is half a sandwich, a cup of soup and a side of stale bread (at least mine was). Well I ordered a frontera chicken sandwich. As you can see it was essentially a tomato and some onion, barely any chicken or sauce, no cheese and didn't even cover the bread. In fact the first bite was literally lightly sauces bread, which prompted me to inspect it further. This had about half what it used to on it. The soup was supposed to be French onion. It didn't have the cheese on it, the croutons were just diced bread and the French onion didn't taste like onion soup but tomato. Plus the bowl was only half full. It was so strange. It definitely didn't taste the way It used to. Over all I was extremely disappointed with my meal. The quality of the product has decreased, the quantity of the food has decreased, the service was pretty poor as well. The only increase was price. read more

Myself and two co-workers ordered lunch for delivery. The order ticket that was delivered with the order was correct. However, none of us received our french baguette which comes with each order. One of us ordered extra dressing but did not receive that either. Guess we were lucky to receive 2 spoons, 1 knife and 1 fork. The total for this lunch was over $50 and we didn't even receive our full orders. I tried to call the store twice. Nice atmosphere and quality food. I have never gone during dinner hours, but I will say that if you go between 12-1 p.m., most likely you will be fighting for a seat in the dining area. Parking at this location can also be a challenge. With the new trail, though, you could ride your bike in and have no worries. They use a good quality chicken that is supposed to be hormone free. It is waaaaay better than the spongy excuse for chicken most sandwich chains use now. You can get lunch with a drink for around $10 with tax and now they have a membership card club where you can earn a free item (drink, cookie, etc.) almost every other visit, so you can save a bit. There is free wi-fi and some booths have power outlets for laptops. read more

My spouse came in and ordered 2 group soups on June 27, 2021. The bread was super hard and the creamy chicken and rice soup was mush. The rice and the carrots were just a general taste. Panera has delicious food. That's pretty much guaranteed. (I mean, it's not exactly gourmet or even the best in any given city... but I digress.) However, what is always up in the air - at least in my experience at this here East Peoria location - is exactly *what* food you'll be given in your carryout order. Sometimes you'll get most of what you paid for; other times, it'll be a wildly different arrangement of entrees, sides, addons, bakery items, and drinks. In fact I have never received a 100% accurate "rapid pickup" order. Not even once. I've been unable to pin down why this happens. Are they constantly slammed to the max? Not really. Am I making my orders overly complicated? Hardly. Are multiple clones of mine placing online orders at the exact same nanosecond as I am? Uhhh... or can I just chalk it up to general incompetence and carelessness? I don't want to sound too harsh, because the employees are often nice and apologetic and try to help as best as they can - though once or twice people have been dismissive/defensive. And yeah, I do my best to double-check my order before I leave. But still... c'mon, y'all. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me for the dozenth time when my carryout order is super crazy incorrect.. yeah, that's still on you. Especially when I go out of my way to give this location my business. Like I said the food is almost always yummy, i.e. any of their sandwiches or bagels. But also, the dining area is messy (which is understandable knowing how this place, like most other Panera locations, can get fairly busy during peak hours). Visiting family in Peoria, needed to get take-out delivery for my son and I while everyone else was out. I don't think you can ever really go wrong with a Panera. I've never ordered delivery from Panera though so I was exceptionally surprised when only 9 minutes passed from placing my order to receiving a text that our lunch was already on its way! The driver delivered exactly as requested with a friendly wave on her way out. The food was delicious, as always with Panera. The meals were bagged separately so it was easy to tell whose was whose. What's most interesting about this Panera is not the food, but the crowd. Mostly 20, 30, and 40-something women in yoga pants. It's like a club with a dress code. Panera definitely caters to a particular market. Food is standard Panera fare...sandwiches, soups, breads, pastries and up to typical Panera standards. Would have given 4-stars, but there are so many other much better sandwich shops nearby, that comparatively it is only a 3-star. They do cater and the price for catering is very competitive. Bread selection is disappointing. The "French baguettes" are not real baguettes. Only a couple places in the area can claim the real thing. The bagels are good. I like the cinnamon bagel. read more

I went to Panera for a quick lunch, I ordered the Chicken tortilla bowl, the lady at the checkout counter was helpful and friendly but that's about where the positives end. I had to wait forever to get my bowl of soup. The people who had been standing in line behind me were served before me. As I stood and waited I saw three people get incorrect orders and bring them back up to the counter. I finally got my soup (to-go) and took it back to work. To my dismay, when I got back to the office and tried my soup it was so salty it was practically inedible. It looked colorful and filled with fresh ingredients but all I could taste was salt. So disappointing considering how much more the bowl cost than their average cup of soup. I ended up tossing it out. read more

This is part of the Panera Bread chain. This E. Peoria store is located in a strip mall, to the left on Camp Street as you head in the direction of downtown Peoria, seen across the river. The place is clean, though crowded. Service is good: you place an order, are given a number, and then they call out your name to come pick it up. The place can be a madhouse during the busiest hours, such as Noon to 2 PM. It's quieter and you'll get a better seat if you go after 3:30 PM. I can't vouch for the evening, because I always go in the afternoons. If you want a Cobblestone (a type of muffin; very large), go there early. Cobblestones sell out. read more
