Went to Panera for the first time in a long time. First time at this location. I was shocked at how high prices have risen but figured the food has always been good quality and quantity wise, so I didn't mind initially as everything has gone up. Well let me tell you, it definitely was not worth what I paid! A medium tea was $3.09! $3.09 for slightly flavored water?!! Then I ordered the pick 2. That is half a sandwich, a cup of soup and a side of stale bread (at least mine was). Well I ordered a frontera chicken sandwich. As you can see it was essentially a tomato and some onion, barely any chicken or sauce, no cheese and didn't even cover the bread. In fact the first bite was literally lightly sauces bread, which prompted me to inspect it further. This had about half what it used to on it. The soup was supposed to be French onion. It didn't have the cheese on it, the croutons were just diced bread and the French onion didn't taste like onion soup but tomato. Plus the bowl was only half full. It was so strange. It definitely didn't taste the way It used to. Over all I was extremely disappointed with my meal. The quality of the product has decreased, the quantity of the food has decreased, the service was pretty poor as well. The only increase was price.

Creamy Chicken and rice soup. Bland and mush.

My spouse came in and ordered 2 group soups on June 27, 2021. The bread was super hard and the creamy chicken and rice soup was mush. The rice and the carrots were just a general taste. Very, very disappointed Panera. This is my favorite soup and you ruined it, especially when it was almost $40.

    Good plum hibiscus herbal tea.

Inside it is a standard Panera- good food and nice staff. Parking is decent, once you are able to figure out the traffic flow.

Review Visit: September 5th, 2013…read more Potbelly leads to a full belly. Matt, Laura, Tim and I needed a place to go for dinner. I left it to the group to pick the place as I like to take a backseat to having to be the one who always picks. The group ended up picking Potbelly Sandwich Shop as we all hadn't been there before. This was perfect as it was also on my list of places to try out. I don't remember much from this visit but I will try and piece together what I do remember. There was something in the air as I was hungry but nothing at Potbelly ended up sounding like something I was craving. With that in mind, I did end up getting some chili, a bag of chips, and a soda for my meal. Not the entire full experience but since they do specialize in soups as well as other things, I think it counts as trying a place out. The chips were a national brand so those were as delicious as expected. The chili was your standard chili. A little better than normal but seeing as it was your basic chili without any special flavorings, it did it's job. If you look below, you will see a photo of Tim and I. In said photo, I look pissed or upset about something. Looks can be deceiving as this was not the case. Tim and I have known each other since pre-school and have butted heads a million times over the years. But when we butt heads, we do it in a comical way where its not serious. We get all huff-n-puff and argue with each other but it's more entertainment for us than actually arguing. I think maybe we've actually argued less than the number of fingers on our hand (figuring you have all your fingers). I decided to include it just as a fun glimpse at a side of my friendships that no one really gets to see. As for Potbelly, it's a nice place to eat. I would place it in the same class as Panera or Noodles and Company. An upscale subway, if you want to think of it like that. I've been wanting to go back as their menu does look appetizing and they have some sandwiches that are absolutely delicious looking. Funny enough, my sister and I almost came here for her birthday lunch but she ended up opting for Tequila's instead. Someday Potbelly, someday.

Review Visit: May 2nd, 2016…read more Great Harvest has Great food and Good coffee. Great Harvest in my opinion is one full of delicious coffee and fulfilling food that is delicious and satisfying. Luckily you can get both of these at Great Harvest Bread Company in Morton, IL. On an unusually cold and rainy day, my friend and I had hunger pains and the desire for caffeine. I mentioned to her that there is a place in Morton that sounds like a perfect place to go on such a dreary day. After arriving and being warmed up by the friendly staff and room temperature, we looked over the menus and took a few minutes to decide. I settled on the Turkey Bacon Swiss sandwich that came with a pickle. I don't remember what my friend ordered but we decided to split a delicious-looking cinnamon scone/muffin. I ordered just a plain black coffee to go with everything. I do remember being slightly confused by the ordering process. Unfortunately, I don't have any interior photos to help jog my memory on why it was different. But after some friendly help by the staff, we were able to place our orders and took a seat. I can't remember if we had to get up and get the food when it was ready or if they brought it out to you. Either way, the wait time wasn't long at all. Finally, it was time to dig in to the food, coffee and dessert. While the presentation of the food was a bit lacking (as seen in the photos below), the food and quality were anything but. Each bite was like unlocking flavors made up of premium ingredients and expert chef hands. This was one of the best Club-type sandwiches I had in a long time. My friend was equally happy with her food as well. It came time to split the cinnamon baked good and that was also delicious. While it didn't quite hit the same high notes as our main course, it was still delicious after our main meal. As for the coffee, what is there to say about plain black coffee. It was warm, delicious and did it's job. Nothing fancy nor exotic. Just some plain ol black coffee. Granted, it wasn't your bottom-shelf variety but it wasn't anything to write home about. After we sat there with full bellies and spiked blood sugar levels, we lamented the fact that is was so warm and cozy in Great Harvest but miserable and dreary outside. We finally mustered up the courage to leave... despite our full bellies protesting.

She recommended the Cuban Pulled Pork Sandwich. My sandwich was huge and contained a large portion of pulled pork meat. It was delicious and the homemade chipotle bbq mayo made it all the more satisfying with its rich smoky flavor! The Cuban-style black beans were right out of Miami! Very nicely prepared and included green peas, carrots, corn, and bell peppers, as well. My dining companion, for her part, ordered the Falafel platter, with a side order of gyro meat. The falafel (a dozen), were fresh, tasty, and just the right consistency. These were served with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pita, and hummus. The side order of gyro meat featured a generous portion of decadently succulent lamb shavings and included two portions of homemade tzatziki sauce. Everything we ate was prepared to perfection and could easily compete with exceptional restaurants in Chicago! Yes, the food at One World is that good. As for the service, our waitress Quincy was friendly and professional. As for the ambiance and decor--we arrived ahead of the lunch crowd, so it was pretty quiet. The decor, however, is nicely done. The premises were clean and well maintained. Ditto the restrooms. The restaurant is actually huge. There are multiple dining areas and in the summer there is an outside patio behind the restaurant, as well. As for pricing and affordability--quality costs, and the food here is definitely a cut above. That being said, the owners have priced the entrees quite reasonably considering the generous portion-size and quality of the food. My overall opinion? If you want a dining experience worthy of comparison to the best Chicagoland has to offer, but don't want to make the long drive--or pay twice as much--then I highly recommend this little gem of a locally-owned restaurant in Peoria!

The service was second to none, from the hostess/manager Angie, to my delightful waitress Macy. The view of the Illinois River augmented a warm but comfortably rustic setting. I started with an Espresso Martini -- 360 Vanilla, Kahlua, Tia, Espresso & Cream with three delicious coffee beans on top. The cocktail was remarkably flavorful and I am a coffee martini enthusiast. For an appetizer I indulged myself and ordered a staple of any high-end seafood restaurant; Oysters Rockefeller baked in the half-shell. This traditional mainstay was absolutely perfectly cooked with the added twist of bacon. (Everything is better with bacon). The main attraction outdid it all: South African Lobster Tail with a half pound of Alaskan King Crab Legs. I'll let the pictures speak for this dish: I LOVED IT!!!!! For dessert I had another libation -- a Milk Chocolate Martini 360 Vanilla, Dark Crème De Cacao, and Cream.
