It's a Panera's what can I say? Things change daily here. The other day I was greeted by a very nice young girl. I did order a bagel but did ask for a cup for hot water, which she gave me. In fact I just stopped by today after work and was given a cup (I am a Sip Club member though). Place was pretty packed. Sat at a table for 4 but I saw some guys were leaving that was in the corner so I gathered my items and started coming over. The one guy that I thought was leaving started staring at me and saying weird stuff (I didn't say one word!) After I started recording him he actually went to a manager. I told her that he was harassing me but she didn't seem to believe it! Um the video I took proves otherwise! He left (thank God) and a guy comes in frequently (he lives nearby) and always just walks back and forth for a long time. I know he's handicapped and I'm not saying he shouldn't come in but he does it all the time and people are eating nearby and I see it bothers them. And, while I didn't order anything today, the recent food purchases here is lacking ~ with size and taste! Why pay $9 for a bowl of soup? And the "reward" for what - 7 purchases you received a $1 off their choice of products! Wow I don't call it a reward. And I do understand they get very busy but someone should have been out there cleaning (I did see a few of the employees just standing there talking) while there's platters/bowls on the table, crumbs, napkins on the ground, the tubs full! Epic Fail Update on the Doylestown Panera. The service is dreadfully slow, and they have removed cups for coffee so you have to wait as long as 15 minutes to get one. The place is now too bright to comfortably use laptops and there are fewer electric sockets than before. Even simple things like milk products to put in your coffee have changed for the worse. They now only provide cream, no two percent, skim or alternative milk. Panera is trying very hard to lose my business and they have succeeded. I'm canceling my monthly subscription and patronizing other establishments. read more

Employees are never happy. In the past, they got our order wrong two times and didn't seem to care. We went recently because we had gift cards we needed to use. I ordered the caprise sandwich. It was such a disappointment! When I pulled the bread apart all that was on the sandwich was 2 small pieces of brown lettuce, a teaspoon of cheese, and 2 small pieces of tomato. While we were there someone was already going up to the counter to complain that his sandwich was almost all bread! Charge what you want, but put the normal amount of FRESH ingredients on the darn sandwich! I shared my experience with my parents who live in NJ and they said that Paneras has gone downhill and they haven't been back in years. Awful. Truly awful. The order took nearly 20 minutes and the restaurant was not crowded. When we got our food the soup spoons were filthy. Mine still had food stuck to it and my husband's was smeared and greasy. I asked for two more spoons, still in good humor, and the staff member brought me two more that were no better than the first pair. She had left without even looking at me so I had to get the attention of another staff member who took the spoons and never came back. My husband finally went to the food prep area to get two clean spoons and I'm only using the word clean because they were marginally better than the others. By this time the soup was cold so I can't give a review on that but I can say since Panera got bought by corporate JAB Holding it has gone downhill significantly. How do you make a profit? Horrible customer service...I ordered a family meal which comes with 4 half sandwiches, soup and salad. Not only did they disregard my special instructions....they didn't include my whole baguette. There goes my soup and sandwiches. The manager offers to refund me only for the 4 half sandwiches. Are you kidding me? She offered to place another order and have it delivered...half hour or more later. Manager refused to refund me the money for my order....She only refunded me 1/3 of my money. Breakfasted here this week while waiting for my court appearance. The location is very convenient to the courthouses, and unlike the hilltop, there is no parking issue down here. The space is large and bright, and looks the same as most Paneras. The service was fine, although the ordering and delivery take place at opposite ends of the long half wall that separates the work from dining areas. There were plenty of free tables at 8:00 am and I was very comfortable occupying a booth by myself. I had a basic breakfast of Quinoa Steel Cut Oatmeal, which came with sliced Strawberries, Walnut and Brown Sugar. It was thick and tasty. Glad it was a small bowl. The Toasted Everything Bagel was fresh and held the Veggie Spread well. With coffee, the meal was under $10. No problem there. I have visited enough Paneras around the country to know that while they all look the same, they do not all act the same. The Doylestown facility did not seem to have any problem with attitude, nor accuracy, although other Yelpers seem to have had different experiences. Given the overall quality of the experience and the ease of parking, this Panera gets my vote for the optimal breakfast on a busy morning in the downtown area. read more

No worries guys, I'll put my sandwich back together. This location in particular seems to like to depart from the usual panera experience. Not today, but about a year or so ago, I recall my food being served on a dirty plate. When I brought it to their attention and they proceeded to serve me yet again, with a dirty plate. I have still ordered countless times from this location since then and every time I am disappointed my something like missed items that are discovered when we get home, or poorly prepared items. I really hold my tongue when it comes to these things, but since yelp requires me to write a frigging book for every review, I am laying it all out there. I'm honestly so fed up with this location. It seems every other order they get something wrong. The staff here are super nice, but their rapid pick up needs more attention to detail. Had numerous problems with my order being wrong in the past. Tonight my order was in fact wrong again, but the manager was very quick to rectify the situation very politely. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the way the situation was handled. So kudos to her. However still 3 stars as we waited 20 minutes for our food (it wasn't extremely busy but it wasn't slow either), and there was an employee that seemed to be hovering over my boyfriend and I as we ate our meal. She was doing very slow small circles near our table and it honestly just made both of us a little uncomfortable. The food was hot which is a step up from another location, and tasted good. I've only been in here a few times but I don't like this Panera. It normally smells really gross - like mildew/ wet rags. It's also always insanely busy usually because it's in Doylestown. It's very dark inside and somewhat crowded - there isn't a lot of space .The last time I went the cashier tried to help me when ordering but he just ended up charging me extra for something I didn't want. Honestly this is just a very depressing Panera to go into. Stay clear. There are way better options in Doylestown. Reliably delicious and solid Panera in a shopping center right outside of "downtown" Doylestown. The new kiosks are great, as is the order ahead feature. This Panera, is like the vast majority. Clean, friendly and inviting. The restaurant is large overall but crowded at the pickup counter. I've been here a few times to try and get some work done, but the WiFi connection has always been problematic for me, so I've been forced to connect my phone for service. Food and beverage quality is top notch and my daughter can always rely on the mac and cheese for a quick meal. This restaurant has a small outdoor sitting area which has some outdoor music playing. Overall it's a solid spot to grab lunch or coffee/tea. read more

Food is decent and staff is helpful. The reason I felt the need to leave a 2-star review is because of the unreliability of the WiFi in that place. This place does get a lot of hate in Doylestown for being too overpriced. I will admit that it's pricey, but the food is worth the money. I pretty much always get mac and cheese, but sometimes I'll get grilled cheese and soup if I'm in the mood. The food is always served hot and any staff member you meet will always say hi and smile. I was sooooo pleasantly surprised by our group of 5's dinner (yes - try it for dinner - less crowded than the lunch rush) at a huge table (that can seat 7 or 8) in the D-town Panera (fairly new location). While prices are a bit high for "cafe style" fast food - the soups and breads are tasty (if not caloric) and our 8 year old loved the $11 Shrimp Sandwich. Plus - somebody's gotta wash the real nowls and flatware they serve on (This is not a Saladworks!). Some items took a long time to come out - but were worth the wait. I've only had their cinnamon crunch bagel and coffee which is free refills for dine in mug... but whenever I'm looking to just internet browse and have a quick and affordable lunch I come here. Free wifi! I'm from out of town so I've made this place my usual hangout when I'm looking to get out of the house. Staff there is so nice and I usually just chill here for about 3-4 hours without any disturbances. Good enough for me to come back! The other day I had the most amazing sandwich! The employees at this location work very very hard and make michelin style food. I asked for lot of greens because they were unfortunately running low on certain ingredients and I was so happy with what was on my sandwich. I loved how they used cilantro and basil like lettuce it was just so yummy. They even gave me a whole hard boiled egg on the side out of the kindness of their hearts. I got the chipotle chicken and avocado sandwich without the chicken. When they said they were out of avocado, I'm not gonna lie I was scared, but the way they made the sandwich into a piece of art amazed me. The employees at this location are the most gracious and generous that I have ever seen. They are personable and more than easy on the eyes. I tried to explain that someone other than me was picking up the order and instead of just taking the simple order the woman just hung up on me. This is your typical Panera Bread, not great and not bad. The three stars are for the assistant manager Mr Torres for giving outstanding customer service. The cashier asked if we wanted a pastry for just 99 cents. We ordered a scone and she said it was $2.59. We asked why it's not 99 cents and she sort of chuckled and said "I lied. You didn't buy a soft drink." The assistant manager overheard and said "go ahead, I'll honor that price" and immediately got our scone for us. Great customer service. The food though was average. Cheddar Broccoli Soup had too much of flour taste. Napa Chicken Salad sandwich had a big piece of iceberg, tomato but hardly any chicken salad.
