Tried the turkey deli sandwich and Italian sandwich. Both were on the saltier side. The bread of the Italian sandwich was delicious, crunchy and warm. The turkey sandwich tasted fantastic heated up. It melted the cheese and basically turned into a turkey melt. The chips are a perfect companion to the sandwich and the chocolate cookie was soft, sweet and a scrumptious treat to end the delicious meal. I highly recommend either. Great lunch sandwiches if you don't mind them being a bit on the saltier side.

I like this location for their egg and cheese ciabatta breakfast sandwich. It goes well with their name brand coffee. The inside is nice and clean and there are plenty of spots to sit and chill. The service is friendly, there are a lot of pastries and bagels to choose from, and the sandwiches are prepared really well.

I accidentally made a mistake on my drive-thru mobile order, so I parked and went inside to have it fixed. Bryan helped me right away--no hassle at all--and I was out in seconds! Ive been here more than a few times for the walnut chicken salad sandwitch. A couple times the lettice was not fresh so I removed it. Today I ordered with no lettice and the tomatoe wasn't fresh. I found bits of lettice burried in the sandwitch and I was also given a pickle that looked like it had been ate on. Save your money, the quality is not up to par on a saturday afternoon.

Went through the drive-through to pick up my online order for a dozen bagels and cream cheese. Got to the office and this is the crap that I find. I'm standing here trying to match bagels for my meeting and it looks like they gave me used or partial items. So unacceptable.

This location is actually why our family became fans of Panera, however the cleanliness of the dining area has diminished. They once had an employee keep the area clean. They still have two very kind and friendly staff members and occasionally you will see the manager assist the pick up counter or cashiers. The food is still good and we have enjoyed the new menu. Hopefully this review will improve a location we visit after movies and doctor visits.

I am so disappointed in the drive thru service I received this morning. I ordered a toasted bagel. When I opened my bag at work, it was totally burnt! I usually don't post, but this is something that could've been corrected before putting it in my bag! The lack of care with something so small makes me wonder how many other corners are cut behind the scenes! read more

Only been here a couple times. I love Panera bread, usually go to the one at lakewood but came here for a change. I love the food and the options and the vibe and the WiFi... but today, their grilled cheese was like bread with two pieces of cheese put inside. Bread wasn't hot it just had grill marks on it and the cheese looked like it was just chopped and put in. It was not a pleasant experience with the grilled cheese. I was looking forward to it too :( read more

I've always received excellent service at this location. I love the passion papaya green tea, but today was made exceptional because even though my favorite breakfast sandwich, Mediterranean egg white YUM, is no longer on the menu they customized a sandwich that is available so I was able to get exactly what I wanted. There's a reason this place has two and half stars. The people that work here are absolutely brain dead. The lady can't understand a word we say and repeated our order and of course it was wrong. I have no idea if it was her first day but the manager really needs to do something about this. It's driving business away. They are low on inventory as well. The person talking to use was so slow and didn't even have the answer to the questions we asked. She had to ask someone, we heard it on the speaker. Waisted about ten minutes. Hope the manager sees this and does something about it... just went to the Panera in Anaheim way better experience hopefully the manager takes notes read more

Just stopped in here to order a bowl . And they broke off a piece of bread and threw it in my bag. Is that how you guys serve food just throw food in peoples bag. Smh. I tried calling to speak to a manger and spoke to one. She had the intelligence of a two year old. I called another location to make sure that's how they serve bread they said no. So I hope someone from Management steps up and teach y'all how to serve customers properly. Thanks but I'd rather take my money else where. read more

Ugh. I should have read the reviews before entering the drive thru. I spent like 15 minutes waiting behind one car in the drive thru. All I wanted was a a large Mac n cheese. After finally pulling to the window, I still waited another minute before anyone even came to the window. I paid and was handed my order then drove away. When my kid opened the bowl, it wasn't even Mac n cheese!?!?!! I drove back and walked into the restaurant and told someone prepping orders that I was given tortellini and not Mac n cheese. She didn't even say sorry. Then someone prepping orders said they would make it right away, and asked if the receipt said Mac n cheese. Duh. I know what I ordered. Then the first girl just walked away. (?!?!!!?) I stood there another few minutes in a crowded corridor and it looked like several people were endlessly waiting for their orders. I even overheard 2 others complain about service as I stood there. They called out another order for a different name. Then they asked him if he ordered a Mac n cheese. When he said no, I told them it was mine and I left. (BTW, as I was standing there, at least 5 orders where flashing in red on the screen meaning they were taking too long. One was taking over 25 minutes to serve.) My advice, unless you are in no hurry and are ok with slow service, eat inside. Never go through the drive thru. read more

Okay so my mom and I have been going to this specific location for quite some time. However the last few times we have went our orders have always been incomplete. By incomplete our orders are either missing items we paid for, or just completely wrong. I understand mistakes happen but if you physically attaching a label to seal and close the bag confirming its right then it should be right often. Phone line is also horrible and it is hard to hear a word any one is saying. Will not be returning. read more

Panera is great, however the staff at the drive thru need some work. I'm not asking for a kiss butt convo, because I work customer service myself, but at least say "Hello," & tell me something like, "here you go," "that completes your order," or "have a good day." The girl at the drive thru just handed over my bag without making a peep. I was confused. lol it was awkward. I'm not mad, it was just weird. read more

I stopped going to Panera a few years ago because the prices were so high for what you got. My friends wanted to go there last Fri.so against my better judgement, I went. I choose the 1/2 salad 1/2 sandwich. The casheier informed me that the berry salad I ordered that they were out of berries. There was a big line behind me so I didn't want them to wait while I tried to decide what other salad I wanted. There was also oranges and pineapple in it I figured that it would still be good. After I ordered I went to the bathroom if I had gone in their before I had ordered. I would have walked out. The bathrooms were disgusting. Toilet paper on the floor trash cans over flowing. It was worse than a gas station bathroom. It makes you wonder how clean the kitchen was. I informed the manager who seemed surprised and really didn't seem to care. The surprised attitude made me wonder when they had last cleaned those bathrooms. Probably not for a few days. When I got my order I thought they might increase the oranges and pineapple in the salad but no there were about 4 mandrine oranges and 3 pieces of pineapple, and about 1 tablespoons of pecans. They forgot to put the chicken in it. It was the saddest looking salad. I took it back letting them know they forgot the chicken and how chenzy they were the fruit considering they were out of the other half of the fruit. They weren't very apologetic. I had to wait fir them to gix it while my friends were already eating. My son owns a restaurant and if they are out of one of the main ingredients in one of their main dishes he goes and gets more. There was a Walmart in the same parking lot. The manager should have gone and picked up more berries but again this is the same manager that didn't even bother to clean his bathrooms for a few days. Needless to say I will NEVER eat at a Panera again. If my friends want to go there. I'll tell them of my experience and hopefully they will never eat there again either. If I could give a negative star review I would. read more

Very disappointed! I was bad enough that I had to wait in a 25 min wait in the drive thru, but then to finally get my order and it is wrong! My asian chicken salad had the incorrect dressing and my lemonade tasted like watered down lemonade. (I think their machine ran out of syrup or something, totally gross!) I'm a big fan of Panera, but this experience made me really start to rethink them. Staff didn't even apologize for the long wait. Mnaagement, make this right. read more

This place is also new to the Downey Promenade. Very clean, alot of space, pretty good service we both got breakfast sandwiches and strawberry banana smoothies. They have computers you can order on for faster service instead of standing in line. Only down side I feel like they can offer a meal option not just a sandwich .. even though it was good it wasnt very filling. Definitely will be bacl to try the lunch/ dinner menu. read more

I ordered the ham, EGG, and cheese breakfast sandwich and got no egg. Drive thru was extremely slow and service was awful. They don't even say good morning. I'm so sad to give it one star. I love panera maybe it was just a bad day or something. But I went early in the morning to Go get a hot mocha and the egg white , turkey sausage , spinach, mushroom sandwich and boy did it suck the coffee taste like they just warmed up the milk and that's it! Yuck! The cup was only half way full the rest was whip cream. I threw it away it was nasty. The sandwich well that was a disappointment the wrapper was stuck on the bread so bad I couldn't pull it off. It was horrible I woke up hungry and was gonna have a long day at the hospital sucks cause I didnt have anything to eat or my damn coffee!!! read more

Keep in mind when reading this review, it's not the food I'm going to review because we all know it's delicious. But customer service needs a little help, curbside pickup I highly don't recommend unless you're ok waiting over 15 mins for the food if so you're better of going inside and ordering. Top of that when I walked inside to pickup the food apparently they were offended my pickup time was 2:15pm I was at the parking spot 2:12 walked inside to pick it up myself at 2:30 just unbelievable they can't stay to there word. Because of the wait my soups were extremely cold. read more

It took 40 minutes for a hot chocolate to come out. My husband cancelled it minutes before then brought it out in a to go cup. I left it on the table. When our food took half an hour to come out (2 bagels, 2 drinks) the manager apologized but when the chocolate still didn't come out when she had just said she'd be back out with it I was not happy. I understand new issues come up but it was extremely long of a wait and still the wait continued. read more

Honestly I love Panera Bread but the Downey location is a miss. Rude customers and they don't pay attention to their customers. I have to keep repeating myself for them to understand little requests. A whole bunch of high school workers with no professionalism. Won't be coming back, better off going to Cerritos location. read more

I was at your location on 8-10-18 having breakfast With my daughter and we order two breakfast sandwiches and 2 croissant they brought us our sandwiches but no croissant I had to ask someone to bring it to me like 20 min after and also They didn't bring us two plates , I called the manager her name is eyvette gave her all the information, I was very disappointed with your service I always have breakfast with my brother and I won't be back here very disappointed read more

Got the pick 2 deal. Half of Fiji apple salad (my all-time favorite salad...I always order this here) and half chicken, avocado panini, small Stumptown coffee. I love panera bread and am so glad there's a location in downey now. This place is big, clean and so far service is very efficient. Love that you can order on a tablet. I used it on my first visit here and it's super fast and easy. I seriously place my order in less than 2 mins. Love that they have cubbies if you order online...just go straight to the cubbies to pick up your food. So efficient! Love it! And the best thing about this location is the drive thru!!! Seriously, life is complete for me! read more

This Panera has been going downhill to the point that the men's restroom have nightclub music. It seems that may likely have been the reason for why the restroom is neglected.For a Panera that is located in Downey I would have expected better conditions, especially when the Paneras located in Pico Rivera, Norwalk and South Gate don't have a mess. I could not understand why its allowed to happen. read more

January 1st 5:30 Pm I thought South Gate location was horrible but this tops it off holy who ever is manager please get it together I realize people called off but You hired those people, I waited a hour today for a Pick 2 to people! To find out the door was closed I was forced to go drive thru just for the lady at the window to give me attitude to say to go wait outside after waiting more time I asked for my order and I told her if she can change something on my order and it wasn't changed, 1 hour 45 mins later I get my order and yes I am a Panera rewards member this was not worth it ! First, I have to say the food here and at all Panera locations is the best. My issue, mainly at this location is the service as on numerous occasions I have gotten wrong items for my drive thru order. Make sure you check your bag before leaving! As far as wait time in the drive thru, that seems to have improved from 2021 when the line was snaking outside, even blocking parked cars on occasion. What really got me ticked off was last week they actually told me they ran out of my favorite item, the Broccoli cheddar soup as well as a chocolate croissant. I don´t get how one of their most popular items on the menu can be sold out. One last item, I don´t get how I go here once or twice a week, give them my phone number, and NEVER receive any discount. I must sound like some snob but hey, it´s yelp so just wanna be true here! read more

I love panera but they don't know how to cook an egg :( I ordered a bagel egg sandwich with the egg over easy and it was cooked all the way through, i sent it back and they came back with another egg cooked all the way through. it completely changes the way the bagel tastes. didn't want to complain again, but i was pretty bummed. i was excited for a runny breakfast bagel :( cooks need to learn how to make an over easy egg read more

This Panera has been my go to since it opened but now I can't see myself ever returning after my experience today. I ordered the Thai chicken salad with spinach instead of romaine lettuce. After a few bites I noticed a BUG crawling around my salad. My boyfriend saw it too and took it back. Nobody seemed alarmed or even surprised by this. They offered to make me another one but I just wanted our money back so we could go. To do this they had to get the manager, who gave us a refund and a simple "sorry about that". I was wondering if this has been a reaccuring event and after checking yelp I saw ANOTHER recent post about finding a bug in their food. This is disgusting. As much as I have enjoyed the food here, I can no longer trust the quality and won't be returning. This is my first review ever, as well as my first time trying Panera bread. Long story short I waited in the drive thru for about 15 min and upon ordering was recommended the pick 2 (half sandwich and soup combo) Bacon turkey bravo and tomato soup. I added avocado for an extra $1. After getting my order I drove about 3 minutes to my house only to experience the blandest/driest sandwich and sour tasting tomato soup. What made me actually write this review was the fact that although I expected a good quality sandwich for the cost of $10, is the fact that I didn't get the avocado I was charged for. I would have easily moved on with my life if I had eaten a bland sandwich and bitter soup but not giving me avocado that I paid for cmon. I will never buy another sandwich or soup from Panera bread again. read more

It is sad to see that this particular Downey Panera store employees don't live up to store mantra " Accuracy matters " Today I went to this store and order 2Asiago Bagel sandwiches, a minute after order I was called to the pickup window to informe that they have only one Asiago bagel left , that I can choose another one , so I selected the everything bagel and proceeded to wait for my order to be done. I ordered food today and set it up for pick up by 115 pm since I have to be at work. I came and parked in a curbside pick up parking space. I followed the directions and waited 15 mins. I finally went inside since, my time was running short and found that 5-7 staff members doing nothing. They were not busy, but yet no one brought my food to me.
