Ah Panera, my therapy. Coming from New Mexico it was a breath of fresh air when I discovered how many locations are spread across the Denver area. I love the convenience of being within a few miles of one everywhere I go. This location was nearby where I'm staying. You know I had to check it out to get my lemonade n tea for the day. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was fairly clean. They got me my cup right away. The tea was fresh! This place is my therapy. Other than the small parking lot, the place was pretty nice. I'm part of the sip club so you know I'll definitely be back to get more of that delicious tea and lemonade! read more

Only went because it was bagel day and bogo on bagels otherwise I definitely wouldn't pay full price for one of these. The steak one was good but the chicken one was not. The bagel was completely smooshed and not good. Crushed in the bag or something I'm not sure because I opened it immediately and I added stuff to it but still I don't feel like half of the toppings should've been not on the sandwich. The prices have soared at Panera. For lunch staples like soup, salad, and sandwiches, you shouldn't be charged like you are at a an upscale bistro. The food quality at Panera is usually good but not wonderful. The sizes of a soup serving seems to be appropriate for a small child. The salad and sandwiches are nothing more than average and sometimes the portions vary widely. It's really unfortunate that they charge an arm and a leg for basics. There are many better options around. read more

Absolutely astronomical prices for ok food. Part of this one is on me, not having been to a Panera since the pandemic really, not noticing the ratcheting up of the prices during that timeframe. So apparently cookies are $6 at Panera now. I'm generally an apologist for higher food prices. I think instead of spending $4 for 12 terrible grocery store cookies you should go to an actual bakery and spend $3 for one great one. But that's the thing, Panera ain't great. Them charging $6 for ANY pastry is comical. You could go to the best bakery in the world right now and I'm pretty sure the croissant would be ... $5? And I'll admit that I was curious and I actually bought this thing ... and it wasn't half-bad! (it's certainly better than the coffee, which is just hapless) But it's still $6! The best cookies in the world (imo) are at Courier Coffee in PDX. Those suckers just doubled in price ... to $2. Comparatively I'd happily pay $15 for one. And I haven't even touched on the general experience of this place. There were ~10 employees running around, and 1 at the counters, helping the 1 customer, me. She was an older woman who genuinely seemed to not understand what anything was on the menu. After she put in my order, how many of those 10 employees started making my coffee? None. Two minutes passed and then the old woman (finally earning her tip) went and reminded someone in the back that there was a customer who needed something made. You get better and more knowledgeable service at the airport. Like, before, Panera SEEMED to occupy a somewhat valuable role in that it could get you a functional bakery out in a desert somewhere. Now? I'd say go to a gas station for your coffee and cookie. It'll be garbage but at least it'll cost what you expect it to. read more

I was really craving their Candy Cookie (basically the M&M cookie) so I ordered one through the app for pickup. I went through the drive thru and the girl was really nice. My complaint is that the cookie was hard, which isn't normal for Panera cookies. I asked if they were fresh and if they had any soft cookies. She said they were baked daily and went to check the other cookies. She brought me other ones like the chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, pumpkin, kitchen sink, but they were also all hard. They charge $9.39 for a kids mac and cheese, no drink or side is included. The rewards program doesn't compare to that of Chipotle or Chic-fil-a, where one earns points for their spending and then can use those points to redeem for food items. My friend and I went here today to pick up some lunch. We were wary of how the service and food would be after reading the negative reviews. Just based on today's experience, I give it 5 stars! The cashier and food makers were extremely friendly and made no mistakes in our order. (We checked it over before leaving.) We went into the building rather than risk getting stuck in the drive-thru. Service at this location was a little slower than at other locations, but given the changing times and the conditions that we are currently living in most of the restaurants that are still open tend to focus more on the drive thru and orders that were placed ahead of time through the app or over the phone. I was in this neighborhood and being that I like to enter an establishment and talk to an employee face to face is slowly becoming a rarity. Nevertheless when the single employee that was running both the front counter and the pick up orders noticed me, he was quick to take my order. The location itself is in a much smaller building than other locations and the parking is very limited to the few spaces out front on the street or you might be able to find one behind. I work directly across the street from Panera so this is often a quick and easy lunch spot for me. I typically get soups with my favorite being the acorn squash and the ten vegetable. The ten vegetable has a slice of lemon in it which I think is a nice culinary touch for basically a fast food restaurant. Their sandwiches need an update on combinations though. The Mediterranean veggie is not a good veggie sandwich at all. The staff is typically pretty friendly and I usually get my food really fast which also makes this a great lunch stop in. read more

Everything I wanted for lunch! The Panera is clean with quick service. I ordered my usual salad, Fuji apple but avocado instead of chicken. Always delicious! They had the vegetarian summer corn chowder back on the menu, so I got a cup. It's always nice to have a veggie soup option that isn't all broth! My baguette on the side was fresh. Staff was polite, and my food was ready within 5 minutes. Plenty of parking behind the building. Everything I expect from this chain. read more

COVID-19 review The Corona Virus, or COVID-19, has definitely changed our daily lives, as well as the world. This review will be written on the food that we had delivered, as we did not go inside the restaurant. We have ordered several times now from this Panera Bread location. Each time, we have not been disappointed. It sounds so good, that I just might be ordering from them in the morning as well! The bagels were fresh, and very good. Service/delivery was quick, and easy, with no contact delivery. The bagels were left on the front porch by our front door. Their bagels are easy to freeze, and eat later too! I love Panera Bread. I have been a big fan of the chain for quite some time. They know how to do things right. The bagels, bagel sandwiches, salads, soups, sandwiches, and pastries are all very good. I haven't found anything on the menu that I did not like. Believe me, I think I've tried 3/4 of their menu too. I know I have said this would be a COVID-19 review, but I also wanted to mention that I have been inside this establishment, and it's clean, well kept up, and the staff is wonderful too. Saturday night expecting great things and we were sadly disappointed. Broccoli cheddar soup was room temperature. Bread was hard and dry. The sourdough melt with bacon avocado melt was horrible greasy greasy greasy and the bacon was burnt. The food may have been horrible but at least all the tables were dirty as no nobody bothered to ever clean them after if someone had left. For the prices they charge, you would think they would at least wipe off a table once in a while.the situation does understand to the fact that there are never more than two or three people in here at any given time. I ordered corn chowder and a chicken salad sandwich with extra chicken salad. I don't believe either one was fresh at all. They both just seemed to have been being served for a few days. I used to especially love the chicken salad and I did not get the extra salad and it was not good at all, the corn chowder had a really strange taste and I couldn't eat either one.. My order was $30.00 with delivery costs and it tasted like hospital food. Not good! This is my favorite location to stop in when I'm Needing food on the go so I use their drive through window! Even when the line is a bit long hey seem to move through it very quickly and are always super nice and smiling when they take my cash! I'd rather stop here than any other Panera! They continuously get my weird picky orders right, I am never disappointed with taste, flavor, texture or temperature!! I come here for the green tea and every once and a while a bite to eat but I always feel like I paid too much. It's a bit pricey in my opinion and the food is average. Kids sandwich meals are WEAK but again, the green tea is amazing and recently they started offering refills which they never did before. I always order a really douchey specific sandwich for rapid pickup and it's always been correct - which cannot be said for all locations. I have had my drink forgotten a few times, and have had to ask for it, but usually they get my order correct & delicious. My only criticisms are that they don't pay attention to portioning or positioning of the meat on sandwiches; sometimes it's 4-6 slices clumped together which is gross and unappealing (especially for $10~) or just like wayyyyu too much meat. Too much meat throws off proportions and throws off flavours. They also don't anticipate the right amount of morning customers EVER and are consistently out of good pastries by like ... 9:40. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. I am a vegetarian. I asked for a salad without chicken. They obviously pulled the chicken off of a pre-made salad, and then added additional fruit. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I ate a small piece of chicken thinking it was a walnut. I really hope it doesn't make me ill. Last Thursday I ordered from work so that I could pick up dinner on the way home. I was busy and thought I put the order in to the Panera on 38th, instead my location at the time being downtown I accidentally sent my order to the 16th steet mall location. I arrived at the 38th location to pick up my order that was obviously not there. The employees helped me to figure out what happened and remade my order free of charge and also offered me a large beverage while I waited they were very friendly, understanding and even sympathetic to MY error. It is sometimes in the areas of life where you've worked a long day, your feet are tired and your family is hungry and you are just trying to get home in as little time as possible that something like the service I received from the Panera in the highlands Denver location that turned a bad day into an experience of pure kindness that I am grateful for and needed at the time.
