As much as I love Pad Thai, this place is not the best when it comes to flavor. Quality was assuring and pleasing to the eye however the taste of the food was not worth the price. Staff were pleasant and friendly, overall restaurant was calm and decent to dine at. But from my experience the food was completely horrid. Spring Rolls were completely bland and tasted just like water and rice paper. Noodles were cold and too salty. read more

Tried to order some of their new peppercorn sauce on my bowl. Apparently that's not possible. It only comes on the one bowl. Tried to order the peppercorn steak bowl and modify it a bit. Also not possible. Can't be modified. The entire point of this place is modifying the bowl. Probably not coming back. There is a point at which bureaucracy starts to mess up chain restaurants and make the customer experience worse. This place had a good run, but I'm done. read more

One reason I love tokyo joe's is b/c their online ordering is so easy! Which is perfect during these crazy COVID times. I also love tokyo joe's because you can build your own bowls! My go to is a poke bowl with shrimp and tuna + half greens half brown rice and allll the mix-ins. I usually go to the downtown location which I really love for their friendly service and atmosphere but unfortunately they are closed. Although I didn't love the mall location, it was easy to grab and go and all of my food turned out right! I'll always recommend trader joe's to anyone! read more

I used to absolutely love this place. The last at least 5 times I've been there it's been down right horrible. I don't know if they get their salmon from a different place or what but it's disgusting and I won't be going there anymore. This was the last straw. I don't normally get a garnish but the person taking my order asked so I chose the poached egg. When I got home and opened it up there was a raw egg all over my bowl. I tried to microwave it and it just wouldn't cook . It was so disgusting I don't think I'll be able to eat eggs or salmon for awhile. Then I called and was supposed to be issued a refund on my card and as of yet it hasn't happened. 32.00 waste of money. Very disappointed. All I wanted was something healthy cuz I had covid last week and am still too weak to go to the store...hopefully I have a yogurt or something til I get a chance to go to the store.... read more

So, here's the deal. This place does a great job of being a healthy version of meals. It has brown rice and fresh veggies and organic meats. BUT, there's nothing really Asian about these dishes. The best and most authentic part was the sushi, and that's mainly because all the right ingredients were used. I ordered the healthy pad Thai and asked for extra spicy. When I say a toddler could eat it because of how spicy it was, I mean it. Don't offer spice if you're not going to add the spice! LOL also there were no Asian flavors to this such as soy, miso, or fish oil. It probably looked like pad Thai, but tasted nothing like it. It was more of a pasta salad situation. My boyfriend ordered a teriyaki bowl with veggies and brown rice and the same thing, no teriyaki-ish flavors involved. Tokyo Joe's is pretty average. Not sure there's really much I can say about it beyond that. It's your standard Japanese food court affair, which is something you definitely crave every once in a while and Tokyo Joe's gets the job done. Got one of the build your own bowls, and overall, a solid meal. Main complaint is that the ratios are a bit off: way too much rice and not nearly enough meat, though that seems to be a common pattern among plenty of these places. I will concede that their dragon sauce has some kick. Definitely above average spiciness though a bit salty. Came here since I got a $5 off from the rewards program, and definitely worth it at that price. Not sure I'll be back though. TIP: Dragon sauce is good if you like spice. read more

I had the General Joe's coconut curry soup. It was amazing! Tasted like authentic Thai curry but with chunks of fresh avocado and perfectly cooked moist pieces of chicken as well a medium boiled egg. This will be a new go-to spot when I'm at the mall. Despite a steady stream of patrons, this busy store runs like a well-oiled machine. The dining room is clean and a pleasant place to enjoy a meal, kitchen was spotless and my food tasted great! It is rare that I give any restaurant 5 stars, so let me tell you why Tokyo Joes in Cherry Creek mall has earned 5 stars from me. The gentleman who took our order, and I did not get his name but for management who may look at this review, my children and I were there late the evening of March 7, 2018, and the guy had black hair and a facial piercing. He was phenomenal! He was very patient with my children and I, giving us recommendations. This may seem like something most people at any restaurant *should* do, but it isn't what happens. So I was very pleasantly surprised when it did. He was very respectful and polite. It was much appreciated. Thank you! read more

there was hair in our sauce cup and hair in our bowl. they forget half of my daughters kids bento box and gave me the wrong noodles. no one wears hairnets and literally two staff member started yelling at each other over a bowl of edamame. place is wild and these kids working here are stressed out. read more

We got here during happy hour when at first opened and immediately there was already a line luckily we were early so we did get seated a few minutes after arriving, and we were served relatively quickly. We got to sit at the bar and we ordered off of the happy hour menu, which was great because it had more than enough of what I wanted to try. We got several hand rolls and several of their other appetizers, but my favorite has to be their hand rolls. Their seaweed was so crispy and rolled so nicely. The rice was flavorful and their fish was so fresh. I felt like their prices were also pretty reasonable and I was more than content after having that dinner. Overall, I would put this very much on par with a place called Kazunori in LA. I heard that this restaurant has a sister restaurant called sushi Den that I heard was really good and that I will be trying out next time I'm in town. It just melts in your mouth. The aged toro was so delicious. Even the edamame was just so good. The unagi nigiri is some of the best I've had in the state (the nigri was better than the handroll and I think it's because I love unagi so I love the ratio in nigiri form). The Spicy Tuna Oshizushi was a surprising favorite of the night along with the Crème Fresh Salmon Belly. I could've done without the wagyu but it was good. Every order does come with only 1 so order based on the amount of people that are with your party. Some items we were unsure of like the wagyu so we ordered 1 and shared a bite. The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.)
