The worker named "yaz" is completely disrespectful and should not be in food service with that attitude. Earlier this week when me and my family went to eat, we were waiting for our food, she proceeds to scream our name in our face, I get it you have to yell for others to here, but be mindful of customers right in front of your face. Ohhhh Panera, you did me a solid with that Drink Club invite. THANK YOU!! Along with that you gave me a free bagel, a choice of a free Sammy (my choice was the spicy chicken) and a free cookie. Whaaaaat?! Why?!?!? I don't know why but again, THANK YOU. The staff isn't very nice at the Chico location and a couple times when I went in to get my sip for the day, the Dr. Pepper was out (BUMMER!!!), but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed grabbing a drink every day after work. The location is a bit weird, it's tucked back in a corner that you would never go to except to go to Panera (I had no idea it was even there, it's so hidden) but they have exterior seating and a drive through if you wanna grab the goods and dash. Another fav thing about Panera is the app, super easy to use and their rewards program is a good one :) My Sip Club intro price has since expired ($1 a month for 3 months) and is now $14 a month. I went to Panera on Mother's Day to have a light lunch. I only ordered a half a sandwich and it was posted as being $7.99. When I left, I got to thinking that the cost of everything was a little high so I checked my receipt and found out that they charged me $9.99 for the half sandwich instead of $7.99. When I went back into talk to them about it, the man that talked with me kept saying at least 4 to 5 times that we are in California, Insinuating that in California, you have to pay more. I have lived at least 50 years of my life in California and you were still supposed to note somewhere a change in cost. I don't care what the corporate office says, when you charge more than what is being shown upon the menu, it needs to be noted and not have to rely on the memory of some young person that really doesn't care because most of them don't care. No one has truly taught them customer service. Yes, the sandwich was good. BTW, you cannot get a small cup of just water. You have to buy a bottle of water which I don't drink bottled water or sodas. BTW, Panera restaurant has stopped making most their own bread for a while. They outsource it to another company. So you are not getting fresh made bread from them as you would think as it used to be. Will I go back there? Yes only to use the balance of my gift card. Absolutely ridiculous. I came in around 6pm on a Wednesday - not even busy - and stood in the lobby for a solid 15 minutes just trying to ask a simple question. Not a single employee in sight. I tried getting someone's attention, called out, looked around - nothing. Completely ignored. I finally just gave up and left. One person who was clearly stocking walked by but didn't say anything just looked at us and walked past. This isn't even the first time this has happened. Finally got someone to help me place an order, and the screen said it was ready 10 minutes before it was. The whole staff seemed to be in sloth mode. The Steak and White Cheddar sandwich was good, but was like another reviewer said, maybe an appetizer size. We paid $33.29 tonight for two people and the portions are extremely small. I've heard Panera described as "overpriced hospital food", and I think that's a pretty accurate description. The food isn't terrible but it's rarely good, and service is hit-or-miss depending on who's working. The prices they charge reflect the more upscale hip restaurant they want to be but have never quite become. Ordered food for the office yesterday. I had a full size Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. Everything tasted fresh, the bread was fluffy and by the time it got back to the office it was still warm! We pulled up at Curbside and they were out within a minute or two. I took away one star because if the drive-thru is long then good luck trying to get a space for Curbside as there is physically no way to get your car into those spots as the Drive-Thru cuts right along through it. This has got to be the most interesting layout I have ever seen in terms of the layout of the property. First time ever going into a Panera and def the last! This review is for ordering inside for take out only. Went in and got all the bread and cookies needed, but also needed a toasted bagel with cream cheese to go. Wanted the easiest possible thing they could make so my son didn't have to sit in the car waiting for me any longer than it took for the employee to put my bread and cookies in the bag. I have everything, including the huge awkward handle-free bag I'm trying to lug around whilst holding a beverage, and am told I have to walk to the back of their place to simple get my bagel. I lugged all this shit with me and wait...and wait...and WAIT! 23 fucking minutes later I finally ask where the hell my toasted bagel with cream cheese is and I get "Oh, I'll make that now" NOW!?!?!?!? I said! Are you joking!? The girl gives me a toasted bagel and of course I am naturally assuming it has the cream cheese spread on it, since everything I have ever ordered through the drive through is made and not fillings put the the side for the customer to do it themselves, so I grab my bagel while driving, since that was the entire purpose of ordering a cream cheese bagel, cause I could eat it easily while driving, and the cream cheese isn't even on the fucking bagel! It was in some hospital food looking container and they didn't include a goddamn knife. I had to fumble around in my glove compartment while I pull over to the side of the road to see what type of utensil or device I had that could spread the cream cheese on. Placed an on-line order for bread and cinnamon rolls 4 days in advance per Paneras 72 hr. advance order policy for rapid pick-up. 20 minutes after placing order I received a call saying that manager canceled my order because it was only 24 hour notice. Upon asking manager to check on date order received he realized his mistake. Unfortunately I was required to go back on-line and resubmit the order. Here is where the fun begins. I arrived on scheduled date/time and no one could find my order. Manager finally admits that he just gave my order to 'someone' who came in before me requesting her order. They were out of the bread and the cinnamon rolls I ordered and paid for and needed for guests arriving later that day. Someone else walked out with my order for FREE! I had to substitute another type of bread and give up on the cinnamon rolls. I am not a happy camper with Panera and their ability to fill a simple order They need to improve their order and release process. Verify order and person they are handing it over too. I paid in advance for my order, but did not receive what I specifically ordered or appropriate customer service. After reading some of the reviews regarding the Chico Paneras service I am not sure I will be back very soon. read more
