My wife and oldest daughter got food poisoning here on Friday. She will be filing a complaint with Chester NJ DOH.

I rarely post reviews and all of my other reviews are positive. but this is one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. After tax, we paid $13 for this chicken fiesta sandwich and had to wait 25 minutes while we were already waiting to go apple picking down the road (our fault). Took one bite, and it was all bread. Opened it up and saw this. When I finally got to the chicken, it was frozen reheated strips that you would get from The Dollar General frozen aisle. read more

As lunch time neared I took break of the Rt206 with Panera Bread sign seen from the road. Ordered usual ten veggie soup plus half Mediterranean sandwich with orange juice inside. It got busier after I got me a booth. Has outside seating but in 20 degree F -who wants to ?? Decor was limited. Gender neutral bathrooms at this facility. read more

When half of your salad is rotten lettuce you should be embarrassed to call yourself a food establishment. Absolutely disgusting if I had actually consumed that. I will NEVER come back to this Panera again- teach your employees about quality control. read more

This is a good clean Panera location with plenty of parking. The food is consistent with any Panera I have visited. The workers are always helpful. It is a fairly new location and I like the look inside. They are enforcing social distancing and have hand sanitizer when you enter. read more

The Panera Bread in Chester is horrible! I ordered food on their app for delivery, as I just got out of the hospital. I ordered a Caesar Salad came with a really small portion of dressing and a bag of extra croutons which were supposed to be for the tomato soup which was missing. I also ordered a pepperoni baguette and paid over a dollar for Parmesan cheese, which also wasn't in the bag. Somehow they decided not to include any utensils or even a napkin. When I called to complain, the phone rang 20 times before it just disconnected me. I tried again and the same thing happened. I was charged $43 which didn't include a delivery charge because it was supposed to be free delivery. This is not the first time this has happened with Panera. I will never order there again. read more

As usual at that location, 95% of what you get is bread. I ordered a chicken sandwich yesterday and I had to look for the meat. Before they removed spinach from the menu, you had to open the sandwich at the counter and tell them to put more than 3-4 pieces of spinach on. But they are great at loading sandwiched with lettuce! I've given that place many chances and it is time to move on permanently. read more

Consistently quality and great people all around - always met with a smile by the kind folks who work there. I often stop by for morning coffee or tea, and feel a sense of warmth every time I walk through the doors. I'm so grossed out... just got my pepperoni flatbread 5 minutes ago , and it ended up straight in a garbage .. I went to drive through and I could see the girl getting my pizza ready while eating her own sandwich.. she was wearing gloves , but she was taking bites of her sandwich and ripping pieces of her sandwich and putting them in her mouth with her fingers , and then she grabbed my pizza from the oven with the same gloves on and sliced it and put it in the box, sure thing with her saliva ending up on my pizza .I used to work in restaurants and it was never allowed for staff to eat behind the line ... so disgusting . Trying to fill up my hungry belly with latte I ordered too , but it's just burning hot milk ... where is my double shot espresso in it ??? read more

This was my first time to this location but the service was fast and friendly. I tried the bbq chicken salad for the first time off a whim but was very pleased that I took the chance. Ingredients were fresh, chicken was tender and they also provided 2 dressings (not sure if this is standard, but I very much appreciated the gesture). I'm not thrilled with Panera Bread in general, but this location is well below average. They can't seem to get any of the beverages right. Iced coffee today was closer to water than coffee; it looked somewhere between water and tea. The hot coffee is uneven, but even at its best it's not terribly good. The iced tea sometimes has crud floating in it, and sometimes just tastes off. They also share a problem that feels like one of their corporate suppliers: the sliced chicken they put in salads is horrible. It's often chewy, or has gristle or something in it. Also, they're very inconsistent about letting it defrost before serving it. And sometimes the taste is off. (Possibly overcooked, possibly over-processed; either way not enjoyable.) They're also not great at warming things up in the warm sandwiches. Half of the chicken in my last sandwich was cold. One of their three kiosks is perpetually down, which would be less of an issue if they had somebody dedicated to the register. But they don't, because ... kiosks. So I'm pretty much done with going here. This makes me sad, because I like eating salads, and their menu is theoretically pretty attractive, but the execution is horrible. The people at this location are friendly and helpful, but they can't make up for the poor execution. read more

This is the worst Panera. Without failure you will wait a long time for your food. It's horrendous. Even when it's empty they can't seem to move fast enough to get orders out. I have been to many Panera's nationwide this one takes the CAKE! 30 minutes of wait time. read more

Do not go to this Panera location. I ordered literally two items via the drive-thru and somehow the order was still messed up. How hard is it to write down my order? Or at least double check with me if you can't seem to remember exactly what I ordered? I'm not paying $10 for a damn soup just to be given the wrong freaking soup. I expect better out of Panera and if I'm not made whole on my order I'll be sure to NEVER eat at Panera again. read more

I stopped going to this location because the workers always forget something in my order or give me the wrong smoothie.

I ordered lunch and found the website glitchy and not intuitive. I had used it when it first launched and they have tried to improve it but still needs help. I went to pick up and there was no cup ( I was told "people usually go up front to get that") w an attitude no less. No spoon for soup, no utensils or napkins either. Food was pretty good but extremely scarce for the considerable price. My sandwich was paltry even. Pretty pathetic. read more

My firm orders for this location at least once a week. More often than not items ordered are either forgotten or not prepared properly. Tried to call the corporate office @ 1.855.372.6372 to discuss the lack of quality control at this particular location in Chester NJ and was kept on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally hung up and will revert to sending a formal letter to express my dismay. read more

This is easily my favorite Panera. The design is clean and sleek, the general manager Sarah is friendly and bright. The egg and sausage and cheese sandwich was absolutely delicious. Ive gone here for ab a year now before work across the street, and let me say, the food is good when they don't screw up ur order. They've messed up my order at the drive thru probably 50% of the time. An awful ratio of you ask me. Whether that be the wrong side, wrong sandwich, or wrong order entirely, they seem to mess up a lot. Will start going to the Playa Bowls instead. read more

This is the WORST Panera to ever exist. Why have a drive through if you make everyone wait an extra 30 minutes for there food and make them wait in a pick up spot? Considering I only ordered a simple sandwich and a cup of Mac and cheese, you would think they would have it done very quickly considering everything is already pre made. If I could give them no stars I would. It took them 10 minutes just to open the drive through window while I was sitting in front of it. They then preceded to open it say hi how are you and then close it in my face and repeated that two more times. Finally they took my card charged me for my order and then told me they don't see my order. How do you charge someone for an order you don't see? Worst customer service imaginable. Picked up my order this morning at 7 am. Egg sandwich ice cold and bacon thrown on and looked like it was not fully cooked. Salad for lunch that I ordered had items on it that I specifically told Panera in my on line order not to put on. Baguette looked like something that had been in a fight. Wow Panera total disregard for food quality. I have been very disappointed with this store since they opened but wanted to give them a chance. However after this morning won't be back. read more

This particular review is about their coffee only. It's never hot. I am sick and tired of asking them to re-brew it. Even when re-brewed it's just slightly hotter. Why am I paying for a warm beverage, which not even five minutes in my car becomes lukewarm? I am buying it so when I am working in the office I can drink hot beverage. I went through the drive though today and i got a salad and they gave spoon. I went back to the window when do cars were there with a mask to get a fork because you eat a salad with a spoon. Then the work got mad, so now i am disappointed with this customer service. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I went to receive my food, and did not get greeted by any employees, who clearly saw me getting my food. Then, I sat down with my Mac and Cheese, only to notice that it was very watery, and the noodles were hard. This is my FAVORITE Mac and cheese. The fact that it wasn't as good as all the previous times, ruined my day. Then, I ordered a Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. And guess what? It was DISGUSTING! It was separated when I picked it up, and I took a sip and it tasted even worse than it looked! They advertise this drink to be a nice summer refreshment, however, it wasn't. It was a disappointment. I am beyond upset with how my visit to Panera went today. I personally believe the other locations near me are better. read more
