I have never been to a panera so hubs and I tried it with our grandson. The food was delicious. I will be back to try other choices. The staff was very polite and courteous. The only things that could have been better was the egg sandwich picture showed scrambled eggs and it came with over easy eggs. Not bad for our first experience. read more

Wow! I used to really dislike Panera until my coworker started bringing me here for breakfast before work. Now we come everyday! The charged lemonades are what get us to come, but the service is what gets us to stay and order more food! The staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and always wish us a good day at work. Been to plenty Panera sandwich shops, but never been this disappointed. Very short menu, they were out of the sandwich that was being encouraged to be order by the A-frame sign at the front door. Remove the sign if your out, really not that hard managers. When I settled on another sandwich and asked to switch the bread to the baguette it was a hard no sir at the counter. "We can't do that, sir" yes you can it's that you won't, while your charging $20 for a sandwich that when it came out had about 3oz. Of meat if that; when I went to spread out the meat that was dead center with more than 1" of bread edges all the way around, it didn't even cover the bread while in a single layer, pathetic. We will find another sandwich shop when come to Costco from now on. read more

Waited 45 min in drive thru line and when I got home, my Greek Salad was missing. Tried to call THREE times and they never answered the phone. For a sandwich, salad, small soup and ice tea it was $38 only I didn't get the salad. So a sandwich and small soup with 2 drinks cost me almost $40!! Tried to send them an email, no answer!! Wow! What a disappointment. I always heard the food was good. My first time there Monday. I ordered a chicken sandwich which came with a small bag of chips. Over $14.00, I don't mind paying for good food. This was far from it. The bread was like it just came out of the freezer. The chicken was Luke warm. Waited in drive through for 1 hr. Only 6 cars were serviced in that one hour. At the window finally there was no estimated time for when the order would be ready. Then we're told they just got the order. Order was placed 30min prior to reaching the window. Canceled the order and left. Would have done earlier if not trapped in the drive through line read more

Went there and as I was ordering on the kiosk, a lady was asking for a refund and warned me and other customers that they were taking forever to give out the food. She had been waiting for over 45 min. I took the risk and sure enough they took about an hour to give me my food and my hot chocolate was room temperature. I had always enjoyed Panera Bread on the East Coast, so I was thrilled that it opened here. I won a "best costume" award that paid a $25 gift certificate to Panera. I went there with my husband and the kids (all grown up) for a brunch meal. I ordered my favorite Panera meal - Tomato Soup in a Bread Bowl. The soup was watered down and the bowl was just ok. Thank goodness the cashier was too slow at ringing up all the things I wanted, after all, it smelled like a bakery. Now I'm convinced they pump baking smells in to the restaurant. I bought 3 bagels and when I brought them home, they were hard as rocks. This may just be the worst place to eat in Carson City. read more

Wow! Panera is even better than I expected, I've lived in Carson all my life and have never had it before today. I recommend the "Med Veg" as they called it. Food was great and service was better. There was quite a delay between my order and when I got my food, but that's to be expected when you're the new hot joint in town! Totally worth the wait. Just another fast foot joint. Panera had always served the bakery version of fast food, but at least most Paneras have a comfortable cafe vibe. This Panera feels cold and impersonal, with uncomfortable fast food seating. Even their bagels, which are usually my guilty pleasure, tasted over-sweetened and stale. If you're passing through, I recommend going anywhere else. Two stars instead of one, because at least they finally opened. read more

I have a mixed review about Panera Bread in Carson City Nevada. We drove there today on Mother's Day to stop at Schats Bakery and Panera. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and the Green Goddess Salad. The sandwich was very good but small for the price. But the salad lettuce was brown and not edible I couldn't return it because we live in Reno. Very disappointed. read more

Had lunch here on Friday, November 17. Ordered a warm bowl which was served cold. I had requested chicken, I couldn't find any chicken. My friend ordered the same and her bowl was served cold as well. We didn't eat it because of fear of getting food poisoning. I used to eat at the Auburn location where the quality of food, the service and cleanliness was always excellent. The management of this location could use some additional training, maybe send them to Auburn for training. read more

I was 7th car in the drive through at just a few minutes past 6pm and at 6:58 I got my chicken sandwich. Almost an hour wait!! The sandwich and soft drink at $17 was not worth the price or the wait. My mom and I came to this Panera this afternoon and it was my first time there. We walk in and the first thing I noticed was the floors were filthy.. It looked like they haven't swept or mopped in at least a week. Food EVERYWHERE. We ordered some chicken sandwiches and go to find a place to sit. EVERY SINGLE TABLE had food all over it like it literally looked like someone had a food fight and the workers were just chillin like they didn't see shit. My mom went and asked if someone could wipe our table and no one came. Our buzzer rang and I went to go get the food and brought it back and my mom noticed they didn't give her the extra aioli sauce she asked for so i went back up to ask for it. I was standing there for at least 5 mins trying to get someone's attention there was at least 4 workers standing close to there and they just wouldn't even look at me. I finally locked eyes with one girl and tried to ask her but she just whispered to the guy next to her "i think she needs something". The lady that took our order was the only one in the whole building that gave us good customer service and don't get me wrong the food was good but everything else was horrible. My place of work decided to treat our department about (12 people) to some Panera bread. I drew short straw along with a coworker to pick up this order. No big deal I thought as we had place our order online and had been given a time frame for pick up. We walked in and ordered a drink and cookie from the front counter. The staff at this point was friendly and happy to help. We were then directed to where we would wait for our order. From then on our treatment completely changed to make a long story short we waited for far to long. (Over an hour past our window) with equally frustrated customers in the same boat. We were missing half of our items and what we did get was full of substitutions we were not let aware of. I do not blame the staff as they were doing their best being a brand new restaurant. I do fault Panera for opening with out being fully prepared and for their lack of training. Not sure I would return any time soon. 5 stars for the staff we talked to 2 for Panera in this situation. read more

I used to love Panera Bread but the Carson City location is horrible. Bad Drive Up design. Dangerous!!! If a customer happens to park on the NORTH SIDE of building, the LONG LINE of Drive Up traffic TRAPS you in. You are unable to back out!! Waited over 45 minutes for order. Ordered the whole Steak and White Cheddar Cheese sandwich for $13.99. The sandwich was SAD!! It literally had 3 very small pieces of Steak and hardly any cheese with absolutely NO CONDIMENTS. No Mayo or Mustard! No Lettuce! No tomatoes! No Onion! This sandwich was the flattest sandwich I'd ever received! It was ALL BREAD!! I also ordered and was correctly charged for two Sugar frosted pumpkin cookies - but received 4! These cookies are way over pieced at $3.99 each! The Drive Up waitress gave me two cookies while waiting. I open my order at home and there are two more! I hope Panera Corporate is reading all these ONE STAR reviews! I doubt I will ever return. prices are way too high for product and poor service. read more
