This review is not a reflection of employees who work very hard. I have gone to this Panera once or twice a year for the past decade. It always seemed to have some management issues, which have worsened with the labor shortage. I do not understand why the online ordering system cannot tell you the proper time your food will be available based on staffing levels. My past two times, it has been over twenty minutes since the stated time for the food to be ready. That is not acceptable when other online ordering systems have it figured out (Chipotle, Currito). In addition food overall at all Paneras has taken a dive while prices increase. I get a new favorite, removed from menu. Rinse and repeat. Most recently the caprese sandwich. I don't expect to be back on my own volition. read more

The person was nice to start our order expensive but that's what I expect however we got 2 power up drinks. They had it behind the counter. They were expensive. My mom's didn't taste right so I take it up there and kindly ask if they could give her another flavor. The man starts giving me an attitude saying it's 1 drink for every 2 hours. Horrible customer service. I stood at the front counter waiting to place my order for 10 minutes with at least 4 employees working, some walking right in front of me not acknowledging me once. I had my husband place the order online thinking I would get a decent sandwich and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the new Basil Bread BLT. When I bit into it there was very little bacon; what was there was hard and chewy making it difficult to take a bite and hardly had any of the garlic sauce. It was indetectible on the sandwich. The worst thing is that someone put my sandwich directly in contact with a counter from a previous order because the sandwich was covered in cinnamon sugar. Not a nice taste on a BLT sandwich. Correction - this location has gotten significantly off their game recently. They've botched orders for the office, intentionally ignored requests to rectify the situation. This is puzzling based on the volume of business that we do with them, but no more. For example, I just tried to do a rapid pickup (in 8 minutes) and 2/3 of the sandwiches were not available "due to one or more ingredients being currently unavailable." How do you operate a Panera near several businesses and not have the ingredients to make 2/3 of the sandwiches on your menu?? Once I did make my selections, I was prompted to readjust my pickup time to 25 minutes later than the current time based on volume of orders place - in a span of 4-5 minutes it took me to place my order. Safe to say that there are plenty of other options in the area with less hassle/headache. read more

I have given this Panera many chances to step up them their game but am continually disappointed. They really need to consider training their staff better when they have not learned how to get Rapid Pickup right. I deliberately showed up 5 minutes past pick up time and my order was still not on the shelf. I asked one clerk if they had my order, who directed me to the clerk at regular pickup who then sent me down to original guy. My order was ready just not on the shelf and with a small smoothie cup instead of a large beverage cup. Had to ask for a large cup which I ended up grabbing myself. This Panera throws away untouched, freshly made food. Poor leadership. We ordered a grilled Mac and cheese sandwich as part of a soup and sandwich pick-2 (rang up separately, we were not given the pick-2 deal). They instead gave us the Mac and cheese. When we went back in to let them know, the manager was noticeably annoyed, rolling her eyes. She begrudgingly told my boyfriend that she would re-make the order, took the Mac and cheese and threw it away. He told her that we would have taken that Mac and cheese, rather than letting it go to waste. The manager avoided eye contact and told him "I'm re-making your order". I abhor the way this Panera has gone. From the 12th to the 19th, my sandwich went from a decent size to almost 1/3 it's original size. Someone by the name of Bethany (who lacks manners and common courtesy) basically told me that the mood of the bakers determine the size of the bread used for my sandwich. Yet again... Panera has let me down. I went in to get items for an early morning meeting. It was before 8am, and most of the bagels were gone. The soufflés were all taken for a call-ahead order... I mean just bad. There was one woman working the register, and she seemed to be having a hard time/bad day. She finally got to me and I placed my order for the bagel pack and one of the coffee boxes. She told me it'd be 15-20 mins - which was fine. So, I take a seat and wait. A line is forming, she goes to get the manager... the manager comes out and goes back into the back - without assisting anyone. Another cashier comes on duty a little after 8 and helps with the line back-up. I notice a man order a bagel pack, he gets the bagels I order - as they have not restocked the bins... 20 mins have passed, I go to the counter and check on my coffee. She goes to the back and brings me the coffee - as promised. I ask her for my bagel pack - she doesn't realize she hasn't given it to me or that all of the bagels are gone... she puts together what she can from what she has and I leave. This location has gone down the tubes. Other catering and carry-out orders have not been correct. I wish someone would come in and just care for a minute because I won't be back - unless work makes me. read more

I have been using Westchester OH Panera Bread location (drive through) for years, it was an Okay experience. Once I visited Panera Bread Reed Hartman location to get my coffee and breakfast, I felt super comfortable, felt like home. I was greeted by Eli the moment she saw me in the restaurant, provided excellent customer service, all responses were prompt and professional. I was so pleased with the service I received from her. Eli is incredible, very friendly, goes above and beyond to help, pleasant to talk with, absolutely brilliant. I am regular here now and every time the experience just keeps getting better. My experience with Panera is usually pretty consistent no matter the location, which is why this a favorite for a quick healthy lunch. My experience at this location was not to the standard, and usually I would be willing to let one time slide, but it was so terrible that I think it needs to be documented. So the whole order process was just fine, same always. But once I went to get my drink they had no diet pepsi. Everyone knows, you cannot run out of diet Pepsi/Coke! Then they called me to the order counter to tell me that they have run out of dressing for my Fuji Apple Salad. Bummer. The communication to find out what their other options were was just awful. He kept trying to give me a whole different salad. Asking me if I still wanted Chicken, well yeah! Then they didn't have any apples! Seriously! If you run out of apples, you go buy some. Then they put onions on my salad when I clearly ordered without onions. So I did call the Panera hotline because I felt that I definitely didn't get what I paid for and I really expect a credit of some kind. They informed me that this was a franchise location and they would call me in the next day or two. First, that timeline is unacceptable. 24 hours should be a minimum guide. So I have waited 48 hours and still nothing. So I write this review. If they had resolved to my satisfaction I would have let it all go. read more

This is a complaint for the cashier, Elaine. I'm unsure if this lady is new or what....however I have literally just encountered the rudest cashier IN MY LIFE at this panera location. It started off bad from the beginning but I was willing to overlook the no greeting whatsoever. I said "hi!" she immediately asked if I had a panera card. When I said no, she looked annoyed that she had to cancel out whatever panera card screen she must have been on. Threw me off guard, but whatever. So she literally looks at me like she hates life and doesn't say a word. I start telling her I'd like the steak and cheddar sandwich... that I wasn't sure exactly what it was called as they were only taking orders in front of the bakery section, vs the rest of the store. So I was trying to remember what it was. She was offereing no help. So she says "ok you want the steak, do you want the you pick 2 items?" I said, well I am going to do a bowl of soup, however I do want the full sandwich. So then she goes "okay so you want steak and arugula, you wa--..." At this point I spoke up and said, No I want the steak and cheddar? I'm not sure exactly what it is as there is no menu directly in front of me. So she points to a menu in front of my next to the pay machine. So I find it and say "yes it's the steak and white cheddar". So, she takes a good 5 minutes to try and find this item. Ok so we got that down! I then ask for a BOWL of broccoli cheddar soup, and a large drink. So she's telling me my total and getting the buzzer set up for my order... After she does that she reads off "Okay half sandwich and cup of soup...". I said I actually wanted the full sandwich and a bowl of soup. AT THIS POINT SHE THREW HER HANDS UP and scoffed and was sooo annoyed and she said "well now I have to cancel this whole thing out!"... I decided to at least stick up for myself a little and voice that I INDEED said I wanted the full sandwich. Anyway at this point I am so thoroughly disgusted that I almost wanted to tell her to just not worry about putting my order in at all, but I am set up to work a little so wasn't worth me packing everything up at this point. She then has to track down a shift manager to delete everything out and the shift manager proceeds to take my order. So it's all rang up, and she tells me my total. I say "I'm unsure if you have to add this back in, but I still would like a large drink." So... again she is annoyed, she adds my drink back in. The ONLY thing she did right, was say "sorry about that" when she handed me my receipt and drink cup. I sort of don't believe she was sorry though just based on the whole experience overall. As a side note, she did ask me for here or to go and my food comes out to go. Now, the shift manager didn't exactly me for here or to go so that might just be a mistake given the commotion of the whole situation. Honestly, this lady is just so unprofessional and it takes a LOT for me to leave a review. I hope something is done to teach her some manners and how to have a job in DIRECT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I placed the order well before the 10:30am cutoff and when my dasher goes to pick up my food they say it's too late and there is nothing they can do. I call the store twice with no answer and then call corporate. I get the same message there is nothing that can be done. I throughly enjoy Panera's menu, and feel as if the food they serve is of good quality. I've been coming to this specific location for the last 4 years, on occasion, for lunch. I tend to show up after 1pm (most times around 1:30pm). My most recent experience was a 15 minute wait, after placing my order... they seemed to have plenty of staff, but couldn't produce a full order. My 1/2 salad was sitting on the finish counter for 15 minutes before my 1/2 sandwich was made available. Like I said, I enjoy the menu but don't recommend this location for fast service. read more

Once again, we have the Reed Hartman location the chance to cater our office lunch and once again, they screwed it up. We placed a lunch order the evening before to assure they'd have everything in stock (because they are ALWAYS out of major items) and they accepted the order. The next day, right before lunch, the cancelled the order saying they "could not accommodate the order". We had to scramble around and find another restaurant that would take a last minute catering order (for a Friday!!!). Because of Panera's HORRIBLE customer service, our company lunch was delayed 45 mins so we could a BETTER restaurant who wouldn't let their customer down. This was THE LAST TIME! Have I had good experiences at this Panera? Yes. Are they the exception to the rule? Also yes. Most recently, I placed a curbside to go order. I haven't had terrible experiences using the curbside to go so I figured this was better than going into the store now. Wrong. I was so wrong. I clicked the "I'm Here" button as soon as I arrived. I was parked in a spot with a "Curbside Pick Up" sign in front. Was my food brought to me curbside? Nope. After waiting 10 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready, I finally gave up on the curbside and went inside to pick up my food. Running late, I speed back to work to find that my soup is cold, my sandwich is made wrong, and there's no utensils in my bag. Thanks for the ice cold yet extra large baguette I guess? I'm not sure why this Panera location has such issues. It's in a GREAT spot in Blue Ash and they are almost always busy. I work RIGHT NEXT DOOR, so it's my "go-to" spot for a quick (ha) easy lunch. I'm not jazzed about spending $12 on a half sandwich and cup of soup, but sometimes you have to. I almost NEVER get a correct order out of this place. I used to do curbside pickup, but that went out the window quickly because they slowly started to NEVER respond to the "I'm here" button and I would have to eventually go inside and track down my order anyway (which was often not ready). So then I started picking it up at "Rapid Pickup" on the shelf. About 60% of the time, the order is wrong, but I don't realize until I get back to my office. One time, they forgot the baguette (which I love). Yesterday, I ordered an Asiago bagel, sliced and toasted. What did I get? A cinnamon crunch bagel, neither sliced nor toasted. WHAT IS WRONG PANERA??? Does everyone there hate their job? Seems so. It's a busy, hectic place, I get it...but would it kill you to smile at your customers and PRETEND you give a shit about their experience? read more

My last two encounters with this remarkably incompetent establishment: I came with my daughter and we waited close to 15 minutes for our food. When we finally got it, I realized that my chicken Caesar salad had no chicken. (It also had no croutons. This place is supposed to be a bakery. Croutons, as we all know, are basically stale bread. Now, I wonder where a bakery might find that ingredient lying around...) I went back to the counter, pointed out the omission to the server, and he glared at me for four or five seconds before saying, "So you want chicken on that salad?" No, actually, my plan was to pay extra for a product I knew I wouldn't receive in silent protest for chicken lovers everywhere. A week later, my company placed a decent sized takeout order for a meeting. The order was placed late -- our fault -- and the reasonable penalty was that we had to wait more than an hour before picking it up. But when we did, almost half the order was missing. When we finally sorted out what we hadn't received and sent our clerk back for a refund, the manager chewed HER out, because...well, you've got me. He's welcome to make the case here. This particular Panera consistently runs out of bagels before 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Their wireless internet connection is reminiscent of dial-up speeds, and their staff constantly seem overly busy for the number of people in the restaurant. Whoever makes the bagels doesn't know how to clean their station properly either. It is not uncommon to have onion pieces in non-savory bagels, which is not a pleasant experience. The staff is usually happy and courteous, and the location is convenient for the group that meets - but that's really all that keeps us returning. read more
