I'm a regular at Paneras as I travel as I like good consistent salads etc. This had to be one of the worst. Bunch of nice young men working. Maybe the counter clerk was a bit flustered as I ordered pick 2 with fugi apple with feta sub for the gorgonzola. He couldn't find my panera until he had me input the number. Added extra bagel " sliced in multiple thin slices in the bread slicer "I also added tip to my order. Bagel came sliced regular one slice. Next salad came with gorgonzola and feta. Told salad person wanted no gorgonzola, only feta ( can't eat gorgonzola!). To give him credit register clerk had entered it and charged extra for the feta. Pumpkin soup was correct and good. Replacement salad then had no apples. Brought second salad back up to counter. " sorry we ran out of apples earlier. I forgot to tell them" I said " how can it be an apple salad without apples. They all just looked at each other. Then salad person said. Let me check and lo and behold bag of apple slices in the back so gave me small cup with some. Back to my seat. No fork. And the baguette was terrible more like cheap white roll for a sub sandwich. read more

Came here for a trip, my sandwich had half a piece of bacon, burnt tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cheese. I am so disappointed and angry because it took 25 minutes for my food to come out. Never coming here again. read more

Panera Bread - Bacon cheese tomato sandwich. - Sandwiches Near Me - Bethesda, Maryland

I came here to get some work done on a Sunday (opens at 7am!), and I really liked this Panera. The location is huge, comfortable, and clean. There are tons of smaller booths- great for one or two people to work- with plenty of outlets for laptops. There is also outdoor seating that looked really comfortable. They offer free Wi-Fi, the bathrooms were clean, and it never got too busy or loud. I love their drinks (large brewed brewed iced tea, $2.19; sugar-free vanilla latte, $3.69) and their breakfast (breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread was $3.99, but a bagel with with honey walnut cream cheese is my absolute favorite). The employees were all friendly and regularly cleared my plate/drinks off of my table when I was finished. Not sure what the location is like during the week, but I'll definitely be back on Sundays to get more work done! read more

Very unhelpful! Brandon was very unwilling to assist with a catering order. I'm in a different state trying to order food for our customer and i was told "we are busy i need you to call back around 8 pm" I'm calling from work, asking to place an order for a couple hundred dollars and you can't help me? He asked me to go online, i tried the delivery address was not popping up, so as the website says "please call" i did, twice. Took my business elsewhere super rude and u helpful. read more

I've been working here all morning and afternoon (Saturday), and it's been great. The Panera is huge with a ton of seating and lots of outlets- which I've needed. There are lots of quiet corners for individuals and larger seating tables too. The outdoor seating area is really comfortable as well, with both tables and a bar to eat/work at. I can imagine this place being absolutely crazy on the weekdays and packed, but it is great on the weekends. Staff was really friendly and food came out quick. I might hesitate to work here on a weekday, but will definitely be back on weekends if I have a full day of work and need a place to get it done! read more

It's Panera. In Bethesda. This location has a couple things going for it. The location is prime amongst Bethesda office buildings and is just a few blocks from the Metro Station. It was definitely a good idea to locate near the Farmers Market county parking lot, since parking on Wisconsin Avenue is super restricted. Willow Lane is a oneway street, so heading back to Wisconsin after parking in said lot is kind of annoying, since you must loop through the neighborhood. The food is like every other Panera. Their Spinach and Bacon souffles are my early morning vice. Seriously, they're addicting. The coffee is OK, slightly below average, but gets the job done. They have a good amount of seating and the decor is matching every other location. I did appreciate the manager chasing after me to give me the credit card that my half asleep ass left on the counter. That was good. I'll come here when I'm craving a specific item or for those souffles, but Bethesda has too many great dining options to eat at Panera that often. read more

First, I love Panera but this location seems a little lost. I ordered Mac n cheese with bacon, 3 sandwiches and soup. First, they forgot the bacon in my Mac and cheese but the person putting the order together caught it. Then they almost forgot my turkey chili but again, the lady caught it. Then they gave me my order and had forgotten to give me an entire sandwich which luckily one of the folks realized it as I was walking away. Then I get home and realize that there is no avocado on my BLT! My fault I guess, I should have checked but come on.... read more

Yuck!!! Their tuna was disgusting! Threw my entire lunch away! Never ordering from this location ever again!

Their food was excellent. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich. This is one of the best ones I have tried. I also got to try the salad with poppy seed dressing and fruit. Very tasty and great service! read more

Wooooo!!! I was so happy when I realized they were building a Panera here. Finally a panera in Bethesda! Nice staff, quick service, plenty of tables with outlets. It's located near the metro and next to the women's Farmer market. The food tastes like standard Panera food. The staff was very friendly and patient and helped me with my order even when I lacked serious sleep and could not form coherent phrases. There is a nice addition to the neighborhood in terms of a place to either meet someone for lunch/dinner, come read a book/study/do work (wifi) etc. I'll definitely be visiting! read more

We love Panera Bread in Bethesda. The food ist always so delicious and the staff there very friendly and helpful.

In general the food is very good, staff is very good and food selection good. How about substituting kale chips for baked potato chips? Tried the apple that came with my meal but it was squishy and old. The chicken salad came with a niggardly amount of chicken. I wont be back very soon but not writing it off altogether. read more

I love Panera bread. I frequent this location because it is convenient and close to my work place. The food is pretty average tasting for a Panera but that isn't my complaint. My complaint is the sheer amount of time it takes to prepare my food. It takes longer than any Panera I've ever been to. It doesn't matter if it's lunch time or non lunch hours when it isn't busy at all. It takes forever and I always say I am going to write an email to the company but I always forget! read more

I just ordered a tomato soup and when i went to use the spoon it was face down so I could not inspect it but when i put the soup to my lips i felt a nasty crusty hard feeling. I immediately looked at the spoon and saw it was dirty with a nasty green crust like someone never washed it after another customer ate split pea. I went back to the front and asked for another bowl of soup. They said sure but no one apologized and they did not fill the bowl all the way the second time around and gave less croutons. I do not know why I should get penalized for them giving me a dirty spoon....... read more

I love Panera. This location is horrible. I'm not sure why, it is a nice spot, near metro and downtown Bethesda, but the staff needs a total rehaul except for Will (not sure if he was manager, but he attempted to make things right). However, I was going to give one star even before my order was "lost due to an internet glitch". The cashier gave no greeting, eye contact, assistance..just stood there staring blankly as we ordered. She literally did not say a word. Just a blank stare. She handed me the pager and 30 minutes later, still no order. I approached the counter and Will quickly apologized, rrpoted the internet glitch and put my order together quickly. But the wild rice soup was cold and my grilled cheese sandwich was not grilled..just bread. Not toasted, and the tomato tasted like it came from a can. I dont know how that is even possible. I ordered a steak and cheddar for hubby on the way out, and Will gave us a discount. But still, I'll hit La Madeline next time... read more

It's Panera ... they have great bread, decent salads ... but I'm not a fan of much else. I'm sure their sweets are also good, but I've never tried. I know they give discounts to police/fire/EMS, but I'm not sure why they don't give discounts to military. That was kind of upsetting. read more

I usually love Panera - but this Panera was nothing like any locations I've been to in the past. I stopped in around 7 p.m. on a Tuesday while on my way up to Bethesda. The location was much larger than most locations. The staff, however, was incredibly obnoxious. While we were ordering, we could hear a girl screaming everything for no good reason. The whole restaurant could hear her. It's one thing to have fun at work, and it's another to disrupt the place. The food was not up to par. Things tasted like they had been sitting out for a while (despite both of us ordering panini's and soup). I also asked for no onion, which was indicated on my receipt, but they still put onions in my sandwich. Nit picky - I know - but when it's clearly written it shouldn't be that hard to follow. Honestly, the food wasn't what made this experience bad, it was the people working there. read more

This Panera bread is so good! Their service is one of the best! Although they get so busy during rush hour, they are pretty fast and get my order correct all the time. The manager is also really sweet and helpful. Unlike other Panera locations, this one always gives me my tomato soup warm! Their small cookie bags (12 count bag) taste like little balls of happiness! And the Mediterranean veggie has never hooked! However I did not like the thai salad when I ordered it for the first time :/ I'll stick to my veggie sandwich! read more

It was my first time at this Panera and I don't think I will ever go back. They gave me a rotten apple and maybe they would have caught it if that weren't busy playing a stupid numbers game. It wasn't even busy.... read more

I love Panera. All their food is good. My only issue is that when I get a salad to go the portion is much smaller than when I eat at the restaurant. Not sure why. Overall a nice place to get a quick bite at a reasonable price. read more

The best Panera I have been to around the D.C. Area. Everything tasted so good and the baked goods were truly freshly baked with love. It was very quiet compared to other locations and was extremely clean. I'll be visiting this location more often! read more

Very impress with the service. I called at lunch time to place a large order for our office. I was very surprised with the amazing customer service (especially at busy lunch time). She (the staff at 7201 Wisconsin Ave) was very professional , organize , and helpful. That usually does not even happen at high end restaurant. Keep up a good work Panera! read more

Very disappointed! This store is in my neighborhood, I visited them yesterday to have my favorite summer sandwich lobster! it was a takeaway sandwich and when I went to my car the sandwich was not a sandwich really. It was a 2 pieces of bread and the lobster was all over the box. Bread was not fresh and the lobster sauce covered the bottom bread so it became mushy. Very disappointed I always expected a better service from Panera bread for almost $17 sandwich. read more

This Panera is great. The cashier MELANIE was a dear. She was very patient and kind with me when I was asking questions about the menu and the "MyPanera" account. They are fast and courteous. Only thing I would nit-pick is that some of the kitchen staff need a bit of work on their customer service. Otherwise I will be coming here frequently read more

Messed up my entire order and when I asked them to fix it I got a smug look from the guy behind the counter.

Extremely clean! Dining room, order area, bathrooms and patio was spot less. Everyone was so friendly, professional and polite. Service was quick, and I can't stress enough how friendly everyone was. I really enjoyed my experience! read more

I had a lunch meeting at this Panera and was impressed with the store, the employees, and the food. The store is nicely laid out and there are plenty of places to sit, including booths. The employees were friendly and welcoming, and the food was fresh. I'll be back. read more

Ordered online and half of my order was wrong. Ordered an avocado breakfast power sandwich and got an an egg white/sausage sandwich. Too far from location to turn back and get order fixed once I realized it was wrong. Needs more attention to detail. read more

I ordered from Panera online. Picked up food on the morning of my daughter's wedding, and took it to a nearby hotel for the bride and bridesmaids as they got ready for the wedding. When I got there, I realized that not everything I had ordered was in the bags! I called Panera and asked them to deliver the missing items. They arrived within 10 minutes, and the manager sent along some scones to make up for the error! This man knows how to run a business! read more

Unlike the Panera in Hanover, MD, this one is super clean and efficient. The employees here are pleasant, clean and maintain all product knowledge. I like when I have a customer card and the employees know exactly what to tell me such as my point balance and when I am up for a treat or free meal. I don't even have to ask! Also, there is no need to wait for your food since they will bring it out to you. read more

Good place to hang out or read a book, plenty of seating here.. I got a chicken avocado sandwich and it was good. Cookies were bomb.

Caramel lattes are much better here than Starbucks across the street... spinach and artichoke souffles are yummy, lunch is fantastic and fresh. Im glad they opened here. While youre at it, go say Hi to Brian the manager. He always makes sure everything is OK read more

The service here is pretty good, very relaxed scene and good food for good prices. Also has nice free wifi.

Ordered a Cobb salad to go. Clearly specified no tomatoes, no onions. When I opened my lunch, I found loads of tomatoes and onions. This is a problem for someone with allergies! read more

Great sandwiches. Good breakfast. I like the online ordering and their app. Quick service and nice staff.

Got a pick 2 with the tuna salad sandwich and the mac& cheese. Mac&cheese was good. Tuna salad was spilling over the bread, and they forgot my baguette. Very annoyed. read more

Very clean and effective, big fan. Lines are quick and meals are tasty, would highly recommend.
