Good sandwiches but be careful if you craft your own. Don't add too many "things" like I did otherwise it will turn soggy pretty quickly if it's not toasted. That's what made it a bit underwhelming for me. Make sure to let them know if you'd like it toasted because I didn't mention it and my sandwich probably would have been better if it was toasted. This place is great and I came here two days in a row while visiting Bethesda. I love the casual vibe and the two sandwiches I had were delish! First was the Surfside and I'd give it a 9/10 for taste and 9/10 for flavor as the mustard makes it! SURFSIDE $10.95 Roasted turkey, havarti, bacon, avocado, and whole grain mustard on sourdough. Second was the Sconset and I'd give it a 9.5/10 for taste and crunch and just pure yumminess: SCONSET $9.95 Hummus, muenster cheese, sprouts, tomato, carrots, cucumbers and avocado on multigrain. I'm not typically a sandwich girl (give me a rice bowl any day!) so I wasn't really expecting to wax poetic over my meal here but Jettie's proved me wrong! Their Monomoy sammy was a gigantic monstrosity stuffed to the brim with hot roast beef (thickly cut, no gristle, just perfect) married with cheesy, melty provolone all on an oven toasted bun. At $8.95, I felt like it was a fair price for a lunch time sandwich especially considering the quality and size. Since my two other CM's decided to get soup as well, I joined in on the fun with a small cup of clam chowder. Soup was serve yourself and I found myself standing on my very tippy toes to reach the ladle. If you are under five foot three, I highly recommend asking someone of better stature to get the soup for you or risk a mess! The danger was worth it though, my soup was creamy and chock full of clammy goodness. The next time the sammy bug hits me, I definitely know where to go! read more

Three and a half stars. The general reaction I would expect any Jetties customer to say is, "This is delicious, but really expensive for something not that special." And if we're being serious, the same can be said with many fast casual restaurants. You're paying the Bethesda cost for someone else to stock and assemble fresh ingredients at your convenience. If your wallet's complaining, I'm sure there's a Subway or Wendy's elsewhere for your budget. I do think it's too bad they don't honor the frequent flyer program they advertise on Foursquare with any practicality. That said, their salads are just as stuffed to the brim as their signature sandwiches, and make me just as full; existing salad combinations tend to be more boring than the monthly special. I was disappointed by the Maryland crab chowder, kinda watery. Cape Cod chips, ice cream, and typical fountain beverages. Fair amount of seating indoors, some seating outside and in the adjacent plaza, metered street parking and a garage not too far away, relatively quick service though occasionally rude. Favorite sandwiches are Dreamland, Nobadeer (Thanksgiving in your mouth), and Surfside; favorite salads are Orange Street, Long Pond, and Altar Rock. The form format makes it easy to coordinate bulk orders. Sadly, they killed the pot pie offering to added a few new hot sandwiches at all locations. I'll be catering office lunch from here again so I can try Baxter Road and Rotary, and get around to Tom Nevers and Dionis. read more

Yesterday, when it was a beautiful day out I stopped at Jetties on my way home. I am such a fan of the muskeget salad, even now my taste buds are dancing. The crisp greens and tender turkey are delicious. The sweet mandarin oranges and crispy Chinese noodles are delightful. The dressing is so good that I wish they bottled it. I would buy a case. It is so wonderful and the portions are generous. The turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sandwich is another yummy favorite. It is not cheap, but worth every dollar. I should also mention that they have great children's meals as well. If you are in the Bethesda area it is a great grab and go meal. Enjoy. read more

This place puts about as much effort into making a sandwich as a fast food restaurant, only you are paying 15+ dollars for it. Don't fool yourself into thinking you are getting something nice here because they are charging so much for the food. The sandwiches are poorly made and often not even teh right toppings. I went to the Bethesda location probably a week and half ago and had a disappointing experience so I wrote the website to let them know about some issues they might want to know about. Not any kind of response from anyone so I guess I'll post it here. I've got to say, if I'm paying $11+ for a sandwich I'd expect the execution to be a bit better. I got the Smith Point, and it was just a mess. All the meat was in a clump, the tomatoes were large chunks and the horseradish cream was slapped on carelessly. I know your employees want to get the food out fast but jeez I will wait a couple extra minutes if it means I'll get a better assembled sandwich. Just stopped by Jetties to try something different on my Friday lunch break. Originally I came by because one of the DC food Instagram accounts (there's a lot of them) posted a picture of the Still Dock sandwich specifically and I had really wanted to try it. The sandwich is a breaded chicken cutlet on a toasted brioche bun with bacon, chipotle mayo, iceberg lettuce, and blue cheese. Which is amazing - what a combo. I have conflicting thoughts about the sandwich though. Quality of ingredients is definitely there, but the execution of the sandwich is just okay. I got a whole mouthful of just blue cheese, the bun was a little too brown, and the lettuce is a little wimpy. On one hand, it's really filling, on the other, it's still an $11 sandwich. Ultimately though, having eaten it, I can't see myself really adding it to the lineup of places that I go for lunch. I'm glad I tried it, and I moderately enjoyed the sandwich - but beyond the flavor profile it was really just okay. Sometimes you just want a Thanksgiving leftover turkey sandwich without actually having cooked the entire dinner. Thankfully, Jetties is here to help you with that. I had heard of the famed "Nobadeer" sandwich for quite some time and with Jetties opening in Bethesda, the roommate and I promptly headed here for dinner to get one. We had been eyeing this opening for awhile and I'm happy to report they are definitely up and running. After chatting up the guy about their Le Creuset crocks (disclaimer: I work at LC), I placed my order for the Nobadeer, a cupcake and lemonade. My bill was just under $15 which I was fine with - normally I wouldn't have sprung for the cupcake but I figured why not? Otherwise, I think I would have been in the $11-12 range. The inside was pretty loud - there were several children running around and yelling at this point but even without them, the acoustics in there are insane. So we sat outside on the patio to chow down. So yeah...it's been a day and I am still thinking about that sandwich. In fact, I can't even bring myself to look at the photo I posted because it just makes me hungry for that sandwich all over again. It was a generous heaping of Thanksgiving love for sure - sourdough bread layered with mayo, cranberry sauce, roasted turkey and stuffing. Oh. Baby. As far as the cupcake is concerned, well, you know my lukewarm feelings on them based on my review of "Something Sweet". The cupcake was less than impressive as the one I chose was more walnuts than cake and the frosting was piled high and sickeningly sweet. Tom Nevers $12 (5/5 NOMs) Its noming time at one of the best sandwich shops in Bethesda, DC foodie neighborhood. Forget one meat and go for all three in this one giant pretty much all meat sandwich. Mhhh its a perfect meaty combination of crunchy bacon, lean roasted turkey and soft shaved ham. Big fan of the lightly toasted sourdough, it held everything together with a nice bready flavor. Thats a lot of food in there and you can easily save half for the next day. Might require you to put those big mouth skills to work to bite that whole thing. Even though there is so much nomnom things in in there, the sandwich is very light and doesn't give you food coma. Cisco Sandwich $9 (5/5 NOMs) Do you know a ham maneuver? Noming on some sandwiches in Bethesda down town, DC's fancy suburbs. Oh yea love all that thick layer of ham goodness. You would think with so much of it the only thing to shine would ham? This was my first visit to Jetties, and I'm definitely a fan! The restaurant itself is quite nice, casual New England coastal feel, and the folks behind the counter are quite friendly and helpful. The ordering process is easy: grab a pad, fill out the form, hand it to the person behind the counter, pay (no cash, but yes to credit and Level Up), and you'll have a pretty sizable sandwich in your hands in a matter of minutes. (I like how the sandwiches are wrapped in heavy white paper, classic!) For me, my first Jetties sandwich was the Smith Point, with a good amount of lean roast beef, some havarti cheese, red onions, tomatoes, and a horseradish cream, served on a fresh, thickly sliced pumpernickel. I'd definitely order this sandwich again - quite hearty, quite tasty, and quite filling. (I'm adding more red onion and horseradish next time, to give it a good kick.) Jetties offers a variety of special hot and cold sandwiches, but if none of them strike your fancy, just tick as many of the boxes on the order form as you please to create your own. You can certainly dine inside, but on a sunny day, you should take advantage of the outdoor seating, right on the Woodmont Triangle, always good for people-watching.
