Convenient location, happeed to stumble there before an outdoor concert and decided to eat dinner. Interyis clean and spacious. Ordering is pretty seamless on iPads. One glitch was the iPad station didn't not indicate they don't accept gift cards. We couldn't pay. Luckily an employee behind the cash register saw us and motioned for us to place our order with him. Got their veggie burger and onion rings. The former had a well-seasoned patty made up of plant based proteins and veggies served hot with fried onions and cheese. I also had pickles, lettuce and tomatoes added. Was tasty, would order again. The onion rings were crunchy, batter stayed on the thick onion slices, and was also piping hot. Good meal all around. read more

It was a pretty smooth experience. We had 3 burgers, 2 fries, 1 Mac and cheese and 1 drink for $40. Our kids loved the fires and double cheeseburger. My wife and I loved the Shackburger and Smokeshack. We placed the order 15mins in advance and walked in right as they put the items into our pickup bag. The restaurant probably see a lot of customers. Our table and chairs were slightly unclean. But overall, this Shake Shack is solid. read more

I like everything about Shake Shack but the price. I understand why prices are high but it doesn't mean I have to like it. $36 for a couple burgers, fries and drinks is brutal. I appreciate the quality of the burgers, though a little underseasoned for my preference. Not a huge crinkle cut French fry fan either but everything was hot and fresh. Service time was reasonable considering how busy they were and our server was friendly. Restaurant was clean and in good order. read more

Friendly staff and always easy to order online. I am a huge fan of their shakes and burgers. Lots of space inside.

Ordered for takeout on Sunday evening since they had a promotion this month for a free chicken sandwich with any $10 purchase. So to hit that, got a double shack burger, which was delicious. Right amount of meat and cheesiness. The shack sauce needs some work though, just tastes like mayo. The chicken sandwich was not good. Small patty, and not juicy (would never order it again, chic fil a runs circles around this one). Still, glad to have had my burger. My takeout was ready within 15 mins and I picked it up from the takeout window area. read more

Extremely overcooked burgers and fries. Everything was dry. As a result, the food had a bitter/burnt taste. Couldnt even enjoy the oreo shake afterwards because of the aftertaste from the food. These are the worst burger and fries I've ever had. Though they did do the lettuce wrap correctly which I liked (unlike five guys). We had a much better experience at the Shake Shack at the Wharf in DC. read more

The food is still as good as I remember, it has been a few years since I last had Shake Shack. I really loved my avocado bacon cheeseburger, the hotdog was OK. It's still good but it wasn't mind blowing. Now the milkshake that was something else a lot of flavor a lot of taste in a small amount of cup. That's gonna become my new favorite milkshake. My order came out quickly. Everything was made to my liking. The overall Ambience is quiet and sterile, which is good. read more

BONE FRAGMENTS IN MEAT I ordered four "big shack" burgers. Because they had a deal for buy one get one free. To be honest, the burgers were pretty decent except for the buns being too small and very soggy. I would've preferred a larger (if need be lower price/quality) bun. After every bite of the burger, I had to wipe my hands because the bun could not house the toppings due to how small it was. I ate the first burger and two or three bites into it I bit into something Very hard that hurt my tooth. And I spat out what appeared to be a bone fragment. I thought it was an uncommon coincidence and ate the rest of the burger with no more fragments. Then I start to eat the second burger and about halfway through it. I bite into something that's hard, hurt my tooth again, and once again I spat out a bone fragment. Then following that I foolishly thought there was another coincidence. Decided to eat a third burger. Lo and behold the third burger contained a third bone fragment. Following this, I decided to call the restaurant and the managers multiple times today and they did not pick up so I left a message. I contacted the Service that I ordered it from, and the issue is being investigated. And following this, I will be contacting the Montgomery County Department of health. I I still have the bone fragments and and the fourth burger. I will be keeping them as evidence. Side note- I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries. They were said to come with garlic aioli sauce for dipping, but I did not receive it. And the portion was extremely small. I don't recommend getting the fries, but the burgers are OK when they do not contain bone fragments. read more

This location is very nice and the staff is pleasant and everything but I spent my $10 birthday promo code on a Thai iced tea shake and it didn't taste anything like Thai iced tea . I hate wasting food but I don't want to consume 800 cals of something I dislike the taste of. Wish I could give it to someone. I KNEW I should have gotten the Oreo shake. That's what I get for being adventurous . Tl:dr if you love Thai iced tea, do NOT get the shake. This ain't it. read more

The staff at the Kentland's Shake Shack could not be friendlier. The service and communication was outstanding. The shakes we ordered were wonderful. The downside is the value we perceived from our carry out order. $32 for a family box of onion rings. The box size was promising, but when we opened it at home we were disappointed with the quantity offered. The ORs were tasty and crisp, but for $32 we got 36x normal sized (M-L) onion rings. This was not a good value and will keep us from going back to the Shake Shack franchise. read more

I rarely eat here, but they were running a free promo for a shack burger, so I decided to check it out. Had to get $10 worth of food for the free burger, so I got onion rings and a drink. Couldn't believe how small the burger was, no wonder it was free. Tasted OK, but was still hungry so I went to Popeye's. read more

This location was packed and chaotic. I had Shake Shack elsewhere and enjoyed it, but this one really missed the mark. The burgers were disappointing, two out of three were made incorrectly, and all of them looked sloppy. One had pickles thrown in the bag, another was missing cheese and lettuce, and the third was just a squished mess with a very sad green film that I guess can be called lettuce. The taste didn't make up for it either. Definitely not coming back. read more

7.19.24 Burger, fries, lemonade, and frozen custard all five stars. Only wish their portions were larger and that they had combos to be most reasonably priced. They do offer catered boxes of fries and burgers in servings of 12. Orders can be placed at kiosks or the counter. You pick a number at the kiosk and enter it in and the food is brought to your table. They have a pickup area for online and app orders. Service was great. Seating and parking were adequate. Only thing that would have improved my experience was if tables and seating were cleaned off more frequently by staff. read more

30 minutes for a burger fries and a shake. Seems like a lot of time for something so simple. Shakes sit in a shelf melting away as the orders are taking forever to be prepared. Somewhere Shake Shack has lost its touch. Typical failure for a franchise operation. read more

We grabbed takeout from Shake Shack in Kentlands and it hit the spot! I got the avocado bacon burger and my husband got the chicken sandwich along with a double Shake Shack burger. We both got our own fries--no sharing battles this time--and they were perfectly crispy and salty, just the way we like them. The burger was super satisfying--potato bun was soft and buttery, the sauce was on point, and everything held together in that delicious Shake Shack way. The consistency here is great. Ordering is easy with the self-serve iPads when you walk in--just place your order, grab a number, and wait for pickup whether you're dining in or taking out. Since we live nearby, we took it to go, and everything stayed warm and crisp--no soggy mess, just a delicious one. There's also plenty of parking right in front, which makes pickup super convenient. Definitely one of our favorite go-to spots in the neighborhood! read more

My first time at this Shake Shack. I'll give you that the inside of the location is very nice. It has the minimalist Shake Shack interior, but clean, and tidy, and bright. No complaints there. I ended up getting the chicken sandwich with some chicken nuggets on the side. I just have to admit that it just wasn't anything special. I do think the Shake Shack burgers are quite good, I think it was my first time trying one of their chicken sandwiches... and the only word I can muster to describe it is "mid"... or maybe "forgettable." I think comparatively to all the chicken sandwiches out there... they've got some work to do. I wouldn't come back for that. Now, the chicken nuggets... I also felt were quite middle of the road/ mid. Service was generally quick and efficient. I'd just stick with the burgers... or even their shroom burger which i've found to be quite good. read more

We have driven by here many times but finally stopped in. You have the options of ordering at the counter or kiosk. We opted for people interaction. The Korean BBQ cheese fries, a limited time item, was delicious. The fries could be a little more crispy. The two burgers, single ShackBuger and double SmokeShack, were good; however, part of the burgers were not well done even though we ordered them well done. The Shake Shack location had a welcoming ambiance with warm lighting, and the Shack Sauce on the Shack Burger tasted like relish-less Big Mac sauce. It was fresh but not as flavorful as the Black Truffle Burger. The hot dog was just okay and didn't stand out compared to the burger. Custom options on the menu could be little confusing because somehow I accidentally ordered the lettuce wrap twice instead of just lettuce on the burger. Make sure don't choose the lettuce wrap if you like the buns with it. The burger was $8.99 and hot dog $5.49. ShackBurger 6.5/10 Hot Dog 5/10 read more

New location in the Kentlands by Starbucks. This place is all hype. Trust me. Do NOT make a special trip to come here. Too many employees on the clock doing nothing when customers come here for the first time, not knowing where to go or how to order. They had a useless kiosk, wasted 5 minutes trying to order, and then went to a cashier. There are no combos. Everything is alacarte. I got a simple cheeseburger it comes with your basic toppings, you can customize. Burgers aren't seasoned. Five guys is better. Shakes are overpriced. Black and White with malt was ok. Crinklecut fries were good, get cheese sauce and sprinkle old BAY. SERVICE meh. Majority of staff are young, mostly hs or college. Too much playing around, just my two cents. Overpriced, do I recommend NO. Would I return, only on someone else's dime. Save your coins for BurgerFi or 5 guys. read more

It's nice that this is here in the Kentlands but every time I have gone they have run out of something from the specialty menu.

Ummmm Shake Shack..insert "drool" here... Im kinda surprised I haven't reviewed them sooner.. but here we are.. Im fairly new to da shack, but i like it a lot. I don't eat a ton of burgers but they do it right..the patties are well seasoned and the toppings are fresh..and like the fried onions options. I also like their chicken shack sandwich which is made with crispy white meat chicken breast on a toasted potato bun. Their crinkled fries are so good..and usually maintains a nice crunch..but if cold, you can easily pop them in an air-fryer..and make them nice and toasty again. I Like this location because my orders are always correct (with modifications)..packaged neatly, and they give me extra ketchup (without asking). And my drinks..typically the dragon fruit pomegranate lemonade is so tasty and not overly sweet. Highly recommend!! read more

This place has really gone downhill. Not only are the prices way too high, but the food quality and attention to orders are poor. The beef on my burger tasted mealey and was full of inedible pieces. I love Shake Shack and their restaurant concepts and this spacious location is really beautiful with a lot of welcoming outdoor lighting, clean tables, and cool ordering kiosks... Service was great and fast for the number of people who were waiting. I highly recommend their shakes (strawberry!), fries, the chicken shack, and of course their shack burgers...but at this location I didn't feel too well after eating (I had the veggie burger which I would not order again!). Its a big Shake Shack and clean. Lots of outdoor seating, and seating inside. Save time and frustration and just order from the counter instead of their kiosk (like McDonalds - their kiosk system takes so long to navigate their menu and such- just order from the counter). Everything I ordered was spot on, from the hot dog, to their burgers and came out rather quickly and like how they bring the food order to you.. Speaking of, burger places ain't cheap anymore; its like $11 or $12 for double stack burgers from here or 5 Guys. So you expect the burgers to be good and this didn't disappoint. The one knock I will mention are the fries. They are just okay imo, whereas Five Guys fries are excellent. Do they cut their fries like 5 guys or even In N Out Burger? Will have to try one of their shakes next time. Is it as good as Five Guys? Guess its just a matter of opinion, right? Five Guys still has my vote (despite their sky rocket price increase). read more

I enjoy Shake Shack but I did not enjoy the Korean Style Chicken Sandwich. I should have stuck with my favorite Mushroom "burger" or even a hamburger which they are most known for. The chicken was very chewy and the slaw just not enjoyable. I pulled two mystery very hard pieces of something from my mouth while eating. I did thoroughly enjoy the fries and cheese sauce. The crinkle cut is undeniably one of the best fast food fries around. I added the doggie treats because I've never seen the option to add such a thing on a door dash order. My dog enjoyed them, but there's no treat that he won't demolish. read more

I ordered the spicy Korean bbq cheese fries, Oreo milkshake, and the coffee & donuts milkshake. The cheese fries were SO good. I loved the kimchi seasoning and the cheese was perfectly distributed. I didn't like the sauce. It tasted like mayonnaise mixed with soy sauce. The Oreo milkshake was, of course, delicious. The coffee and donuts milkshake was disappointing. It tasted like vanilla custard with a small shot of coffee flavoring. My fiance said it tasted like butterscotch. We did get the donut crumbles, which were nice. The establishment is clean and the staff is very helpful. The flow of orders is a bit chaotic and there was a staff member who didn't have gloves on handling the food items while I waited. Eventually, gives were worn but the same worker kept wiping their gloved hands on their apron and jeans. They also picked up a ticket from the ground and went back to handling orders. It seemed to be a bit of an unconscious habit but it does need to be checked. The bottom portion of my burger bun was a little soggy. I hope it was from the heat. The dining area is moderately loud and clean. There natural lighting gives it a comfortable vibe. Expect to wait a bit for your meal (5-12 minutes). read more

I have frequented Shake Shack many times but since I was over at the Kentlands running errands... feeling hungry and craving a milk shake; I decided to try this new location. When I came in the line was a little deep so I opted for the self ordering station... The process was easy peasy ! I got the limited triple chocolate brownie shake, spicy fries with ranch and chicken bites. ** The picture on the screen looked to me like the chicken pieces were larger then they actually are. If you are hungry I suggest going for a burger, chicken sandwich, OR 10 count of the bites. The bites were very tasty none the less and I still left happy and full. The New location is very clean with plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly and truly seem happy to be at work! They even offered to carry my tray over to my table even though I was waiting at the counter for my food. The new location is holding high standards... good for them! read more

Traditional good hamburger and fries. Great restaurant to grab a quick burger. Service was good.

First time at a Shake Shack. Service was quick, restaurant was clean and freezing, so I took my food to my car where it was warm, had no interaction with employees since I ordered from my car when I first arrived. The banana pudding milkshake didn't taste like banana pudding, it was also very sweet, I'm not sure if that's the whipped cream or the cookie crumbs on top but I wouldn't recommend it, especially based on the $7 price tag (they only have 1 size and I'd compare it to a grande at Starbucks). The burger I would compare it to Five Guys. It was greasy and fell apart easily. My stomach hurt before I finished it from the grease. I had the single burger. The bacon was fully cooked, and the avocado was fresh. It was a burger, not a stand out, and not one that I'm rushing to come back for, esp for $14. If I'm in the area and I don't want any of the other food options, I would come back but I won't go out of my way. Overall, the quality was average and the cost is high. read more
