The staff at the Kentland's Shake Shack could not be friendlier. The service and communication was outstanding. The shakes we ordered were wonderful. The downside is the value we perceived from our carry out order. $32 for a family box of onion rings. The box size was promising, but when we opened it at home we were disappointed with the quantity offered. The ORs were tasty and crisp, but for $32 we got 36x normal sized (M-L) onion rings. BONE FRAGMENTS IN MEAT I ordered four "big shack" burgers. Because they had a deal for buy one get one free. To be honest, the burgers were pretty decent except for the buns being too small and very soggy. I would've preferred a larger (if need be lower price/quality) bun. After every bite of the burger, I had to wipe my hands because the bun could not house the toppings due to how small it was. I ate the first burger and two or three bites into it I bit into something Very hard that hurt my tooth. And I spat out what appeared to be a bone fragment. I thought it was an uncommon coincidence and ate the rest of the burger with no more fragments. Then I start to eat the second burger and about halfway through it. I bite into something that's hard, hurt my tooth again, and once again I spat out a bone fragment. Then following that I foolishly thought there was another coincidence. Decided to eat a third burger. Lo and behold the third burger contained a third bone fragment. Following this, I decided to call the restaurant and the managers multiple times today and they did not pick up so I left a message. I contacted the Service that I ordered it from, and the issue is being investigated. And following this, I will be contacting the Montgomery County Department of health. I I still have the bone fragments and and the fourth burger. I will be keeping them as evidence. Side note- I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries. They were said to come with garlic aioli sauce for dipping, but I did not receive it. And the portion was extremely small. Too many employees on the clock doing nothing when customers come here for the first time, not knowing where to go or how to order. I got a simple cheeseburger it comes with your basic toppings, you can customize. Burgers aren't seasoned. Five guys is better. Shakes are overpriced. Black and White with malt was ok. Crinklecut fries were good, get cheese sauce and sprinkle old BAY. SERVICE meh. Majority of staff are young, mostly hs or college. Too much playing around, just my two cents. I don't eat a ton of burgers but they do it right..the patties are well seasoned and the toppings are fresh..and like the fried onions options. I also like their chicken shack sandwich which is made with crispy white meat chicken breast on a toasted potato bun. Their crinkled fries are so good..and usually maintains a nice crunch..but if cold, you can easily pop them in an air-fryer..and make them nice and toasty again. I Like this location because my orders are always correct (with modifications)..packaged neatly, and they give me extra ketchup (without asking). And my drinks..typically the dragon fruit pomegranate lemonade is so tasty and not overly sweet. Highly recommend!! read more

Save time and frustration and just order from the counter instead of their kiosk (like McDonalds - their kiosk system takes so long to navigate their menu and such- just order from the counter). Everything I ordered was spot on, from the hot dog, to their burgers and came out rather quickly and like how they bring the food order to you.. Speaking of, burger places ain't cheap anymore; its like $11 or $12 for double stack burgers from here or 5 Guys. So you expect the burgers to be good and this didn't disappoint. The one knock I will mention are the fries. They are just okay imo, whereas Five Guys fries are excellent. Do they cut their fries like 5 guys or even In N Out Burger? Will have to try one of their shakes next time. Is it as good as Five Guys? Guess its just a matter of opinion, right? The chicken was very chewy and the slaw just not enjoyable. I pulled two mystery very hard pieces of something from my mouth while eating. I did thoroughly enjoy the fries and cheese sauce. The crinkle cut is undeniably one of the best fast food fries around. I added the doggie treats because I've never seen the option to add such a thing on a door dash order. Eventually, gives were worn but the same worker kept wiping their gloved hands on their apron and jeans. They also picked up a ticket from the ground and went back to handling orders. It seemed to be a bit of an unconscious habit but it does need to be checked. The bottom portion of my burger bun was a little soggy. I hope it was from the heat. Service was quick, restaurant was clean and freezing, so I took my food to my car where it was warm, had no interaction with employees since I ordered from my car when I first arrived. The banana pudding milkshake didn't taste like banana pudding, it was also very sweet, I'm not sure if that's the whipped cream or the cookie crumbs on top but I wouldn't recommend it, especially based on the $7 price tag (they only have 1 size and I'd compare it to a grande at Starbucks). The burger I would compare it to Five Guys. It was greasy and fell apart easily. My stomach hurt before I finished it from the grease. I had the single burger. The bacon was fully cooked, and the avocado was fresh. It was a burger, not a stand out, and not one that I'm rushing to come back for, esp for $14. If I'm in the area and I don't want any of the other food options, I would come back but I won't go out of my way. Overall, the quality was average and the cost is high. read more
