No complaints here. It's shake shack haha. The workers here do a great job with the amount of crowds they get in this location. I will say sometimes they get so slammed that if you're not paying attention, your order could just be sitting at the pick up station and no one called your number or name. But the food is always great. They've never messed up an order yet. I would say my only word of caution about this location is the godforsaken parking lol. The whole Cabin John area in general has terrible parking. This Cabin John shopping mall has been renovated over time and looks very nice, especially at night. There are good restaurants and places to shop. Before eating we sat outside and talked on a patio behind Colony grill. Once hungry we went to order our food; it was within 30 minutes of closing. First time going to any Shake Shack. I would probably pass on a 2nd visit. This is basically self service ordering at a kiosk. Luckily one of the associates walked up to the counter when I started ordering because I had a question regarding the spicy chicken, which he was considerate and answered my inquiry. We placed the order; however kiosk asked for table #; but there were no instructions where to get the #, nothing on the tables. After waiting for a few minutes someone else came up to front and noticed I was looking around. They asked if I my needed help & I mentioned not knowing how to put a table # in. Come to find out, the number signs weren't anywhere to be found. He went and got some. Meal came fairly quickly, place was clean and modest. They did have self service for filtered water and sodas and limited condiments, just ketchup. The presentation of our sandwiches was lovely. We both ordered the Avocado Bacon chicken sandwich. Delicious but I expected a larger piece of chicken for the price. Crinkle fries were ok, but again felt portion size for the price was lacking. My husband left saying he was still hungry. This was my first experience at Shake Shack (I know I know... I'm late), and drove about 30 minutes to get here. It was a Thursday evening during the dinner "rush" and during the COVID pandemic where indoor dining is not allowed. Since there is no indoor dining, you have to either go inside to place your order or wait outside if you ordered online. We ordered online so we were waiting outside for our food. There is one guy who runs in and out about every 30 seconds with the next orders that are ready for pickup. My only issue is that there is no particular order and while I waited my turn, others from GrubHub, UberEats, etc. kept going in front of me and THEY WERE HELPED FIRST! I'm sorry but it's cold outside - there was no sense of "hey you were here first" or "sorry man, can you wait since these people were here ahead of you?". Maybe having separate lines might help the process? To the food - we ordered two Shack Stacks, bacon cheese fries, a chocolate shake, and a black vanilla shake. The order was placed in one large paper bag. I asked where my shakes were and the guy mentioned they were in the bag. He was right... my shakes were in the same bag that my burgers and fries were. Hot + Cold = ?? They also did not give me two shack stacks. Rather we got one shack stack and one cheeseburger? It's really disappointing when the experience going there wasn't that great, and then you come home to find your order is not correct. This place/chain is WAY overpriced in my opinion. My order was $47 and we were still hungry afterwards. The food was mediocre. Honestly I don't understand the hype. The shakes were good. Probably 4/5 for a rating. I've been to this location a number of times. I feel I have liked my experiences over-all here more than the Tyson's mall location and would say it is just as good as my experiences at Columbia mall. Everyone is always friendly and helpful here. My to-go orders are usually ready close to the estimated time. Tonight our order was almost correct. We ordered two burgers, two shakes, and two cheese fries. We ordered our shake sauces and cheese sauces on the side. We got the cheese sauces (thank goodness), but no shake sauces. Unfortunately, this was hard to confirm in a dark car so we didn't see until we got home. The shakes were a little different tonight as well, not sure if they just didn't get blended as well because they were busy, but the chocolate shake had what we assume were chunks of chocolate syrup or something kind of floating around. The Christmas Cookie shake had a different taste to it than previous years, like maybe a flavoring syrup did not get mixed in right? Not sure. We have gotten both of the shakes before so not sure if this is just a change in how they are made or just a one off odd experience tonight? But with that said, this location has always been the most consistent in the DMV and I've never had a bad experience personally. I love a classic Shackburger and rarely deviate. We got the special bourbon crispy onion burger which was fine - skimped on ingredients compared to some of the other photos I've seen but the quality was there so not going to ding them. Everything was freshly made and I think their cheese fries are still the best I have ever had at any fast food joint. Or maybe just period. For those that haven't tried, they also have one of my favorite fried chicken sandwiches ever and are very well known for their hot dogs. Both are simple but very good ingredients and well thought out which is true to Danny Meyer fashion. A solid Shake Shack just like all the others I've been to. It's possible the burger patties are even better charred here than at others, but not sure yet since 1) I could be excitedly biased given I haven't been to an SS in awhile, and 2) I've only been here once so far. I definitely plan to come back. As others have mentioned, the fries are so satisfying: crunchy crinkle cut outside, soft and warm inside. Cheese fries have ample gooeyness. Seating inside and outside is spacious. Most staff are friendly. I did notice a server asked how the food was to the groups of white patrons and my white partner, but not a family of Asian patrons next to us. It was a quick and isolated incident as I didn't have other data points to compare, and all the other staff seemed equally courteous to everyone; so I won't ding this place a star just yet. The Shackburger was good but on the greasy side, though the Shack Stack took it to the next level with a fried portobello mushroom burger on top of a cheeseburger. There is a small parking lot located out front so you have to get lucky, but I believe there is more off to the side. We ordered our food to include the chicken minis that I never noticed they had before! Our total was $40...which is somewhat expensive but the quality of the food usually makes up for it (I promise). It was my father's first time so I let him ball out! We ordered the burger, chicken sandwich (extra mayo), fries w/cheese, chicken minis, and a chocolate shake. Our wait was about 10 minutes or so and we were given a buzzer while we wait. A favorite of mine is the speciality lemonades they have. Today was coconut mango, which I didn't try, unfortunately. Once we got our food, it looked spectacular! My father really enjoyed everything aside from the fact they definitely could've given more cheese on the cheese fries. Shake Shack Cabin John - MD - Burgers Near Me - Potomac, Maryland

People, from all over have been talking about Shake Shack and I have been stalking our local shopping center for its new restaurant location to open. Today, my efforts paid off, as I drove through the shopping center,the doors of Shake Shack opened and people were eating there. They are located in Cabin John Shopping Center. It is reasonably priced. I got a double cheeseburger and fries for about $12.00. The burger was good, but I was not a fan of the cheese. It was the kind of cheese that melts like cheese whiz. I asked for lettuce, tomato, and pickle. You have to ask for the extras when you order. There are separate counters to order and to pick up your food. They give you a buzzer when you pay for your food and you have to wait for the buzzer to buzz, so you can pick your order up. The people attending the counters were pleasant and friendly. They also have a mushroom burger, no meat, for our vegetarian friends. The fries were excellent! You can also get cheese fries or bacon and cheese fries. I will definitely try one of them on my next trip. I ran into a Yelper friend- Abigail! She said the shakes were delicious! Again, definitely on my next trip!
