a cup of yogurt with strawberries on top
Shavaiz M.

Best frozen yogurt I've ever had! So many flavors and topics are available that you almost have a difficult time picking one! Staff is really nice and the prices are really cheap too, especially when you consider the excellent quality of the frozen yogurt. Definitely one of my top dessert places in the mall. As you can see below, my personal favorite is Mango but the chocolate does come at a close second.

I stopped by Montgomery Mall on my way home from work. I walked past Yogi Castle on my way to pick up some vitamins. I could not leave without a frozen yogurt. They have a variety of flavors and the staff is very helpful. They allowed me to taste a few that I was interested in buying. I opted for the sugar free Oreo cookie flavor mixed with low fat strawberry. The Oreo cookie flavor was good, but the strawberry was outstanding. It was rich and creamy with plenty of strawberry flavor. Next ,to the topping bar. I loaded up with kiwi, blueberries, and of course more strawberries. The fruit was fresh and cut just the right size to fit in my yogurt container. There were many toppings to chose from. The staff was pleasant and the service was top notch. So, if you are looking for a cool treat,as you wander the mall, be sure to stop by and treat yourself to some smooth, creamy yogurt.

Raspberry yogurt, lots of jellies, mochi, and chocolate... mango yogurt on bottom

So I walked by once. Then back again. Then finally into the store since I gave into my cravings... the yogurt, is well, yogurt. They do have good flavors, so pick something you like then make bee line for the toppings!!! All I had to do was see them and I had to get them. Now---I didn't go completely over board, but I had Kochi, jellies, peanut butter cups, and fruit--mango and blueberries... I liked the selection and that you can do it yourself... there are a few tables and the service is very friendly... Think soft chewy mocha bits in yogurt.... chew chew....

those fruit poppers are bursts-o-fun

The taro froyo is to die for, not too sweet and just delectable. It's my favorite froyo place. Clean and the froyo is delicious.

After dinner one night, we walked around downtown Bethesda and happened upon Henry's Sweet Retreat…read more Luckily, we saved room for dessert, and Henry's hit the spot. We got a blueberry pop tart, and some raspberry scones, along with a chocolate covered vanilla cupcake. Yummy! The only problem is that Henry's is not just a dessert bakery - the store may appear tiny on the outside, but it's huge on the inside. In addition to the bakery, they got all kinds of candy and other goodies for sale. I gotta stop back in another day and try all the other good stuff inside. Plus, you can tell from the Rick Astley-inspired sign outside, Henry's has a great sense of humor. This is exactly what small business brings to the neighborhood. Stop by and visit Henry's Sweet Retreat - you'll be glad you did!

The small sundaes were huge! Kids could not finish them and at $7ish each hard to beat for the quality! I had an eggnog cupcake. I was not sure it would be good but whatever magic y'all put in it worked great together! The frosting was light and fluffy not too sweet not too bland. And the cake was moist, not crumbly, not heavy just perfect! Had a latte with soymilk because my belly does not care for milk in coffee. Local coffee company supplies the beans. They also have pretty much any kind of candy, pies, and sweets you might need and apparently they cater! Stop in you will not regret it...unless you do not like sweets and then I am sorry.

While the buttercream and cream cheese flavors are sickly sweet with a thick mound of frosting and the cake and cheesecake can be quite dense, the savory flavors like caramel and mocha and the fudge brownie cheesecakes are exceptionally good! There are no restrooms. It's more of a quick in/out shop. Walk-ins are welcome with hardly any lines and the shop usually doesn't quickly sell out of cupcakes. You can cut to the front of the line as a benefit/perk of an online order.

The service was adequate, but not particularly welcoming; there was no greeting upon entering. As the only customers at first, we found the environment quiet, with two other patrons arriving shortly after us. We placed our order, paid for the cupcakes, and left. There was little to no seating inside the shop. We sampled the cupcakes on the bench seating near the shop. We chose the carrot cake and red velvet varieties. Both cupcakes were enjoyable, with the standout feature being the cream cheese frosting--creamy, slightly tangy, and authentic. The carrot cake cupcake was a bit dry around the edges but moist in the center. It contained carrot pieces, yet differed from traditional carrot cakes, offering a more subtle flavor. Overall, the experience was pleasant.

The portions aren't huge, but they're perfectly sized--just enough to enjoy everything and still have room for dessert. The crab roll was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the salad with its tangy dressing paired perfectly with it. The deviled eggs were honestly the best I've ever had--no exaggeration. The richness of the filling was outstanding. The cocktails were light and refreshing, and happy hour made everything feel even more worth it. I ended with the key lime pie, which was fluffy, bright, and layered in deliciousness. The atmosphere is open, friendly, and has a really well-done nautical vibe that fits the whole experience. And our waitress was fantastic, attentive without being intrusive, and we never had to flag her down for anything. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

The malt liquor flavor is very overpowering and takes away from the food. Once u take that off, there's no flavor/seasoning. All the fish needed was some seasoning and maybe hot sauce or ketchup. Other than that, we will be back.
