Ice cream selection
Mai S.

Nice bright ice cream spot. Was very surprised it wasn't packed on a hot Saturday afternoon. Nice selections of ice cream from vegan, gf, and sorbets. I love establishments that have unique flavors. I had HORCHATA and BANANA PUDDING. The horchata reminded me of cinnamon toast crunch. It was sweet cinnamon ice cream. The banana pudding had a nice banana flavor. I would have loved if it had a cookie or a textured mixin. Also sampled the SWEET CORN. True to flavor! Just as it sounds very delicious. MANGO MILK TEA was delicious as well. True to its name mango flavor is bold. The young lady clerk was very pleasant. She allowed samples and answered my questions. Would be back to try other flavors.

The ice cream shop is owned by a Korean and every time I come, the staff is friendly, the simple decor is cute, and the ice cream is delicious. I've tried the ube, passion fruit, cookie dough and vanilla chai. All the flavors have been strong and flavorful. The passion fruit was so refreshing. The vanilla chai has a great balance of chai and vanilla flavor and the cookie dough had a good amount of chocolate chips and cookie dough. I also love that a single scoop isn't too pricey, making it a great choice for dessert after dinner. I am always so happy to support a small business owned by someone I know from my high school age. Definitely give them a try when you are in the area!

The Scoop's mantra is "Ice cream solves everything!" I couldn't agree with them more and on a 95 degree afternoon, I stopped in for a treat. I love the beautiful pink and white design colors and the clean, cool, fresh interior. The people who worked there are very nice. I tasted two flavors, the mocha chip and the pandant coconut ice cream. All I could say, after tasting the pandan coconut ice cream was,"Oh, my!" And, the young man waiting on me, just nodded his head in agreement. The rich, creamy flavor, bursts of pandan and pieces of coconut swirled across my tongue. It was a delightful! It was so delicious! The flavors are anything, but typical. The ice cream is all made in house. The owners are two local young men, who grew up in our area. I couldn't think of a small business that I would rather support! The ice cream was excellent and I can't wait to go back and try out some new flavors.

We love the scoop not just because it's Korean owned but the flavors are on point and so yummy!! I was able to get the sweet corn one this time!! Soooo good definitely reminded me of the Korean corn ice cream growing up! We recommend this place !!!! And the services is always great here! we will continue to come back here as our go to ice cream shop!

Great homemade mom and pop shop. Real quality ice cream unique flavors. My favorite is the cookies and cream. Go check them out super nice staff.

Great ice cream shop. It has some special flavors, such as sesame and purple yam Ube. It was pretty quiet on a Monday afternoon. We got waffle cones with double scoops. All were good, but I liked Almond Toffee Crunch the best. 4*strawberry and matcha 4.2* Coffee & Biscuits and Almond Toffee Crunch

This is about 3.5 stars for me. Cute shop in Cabin John Village. The atmosphere is nice compared to the Baskin Robbins that was there before. Much brighter. More welcoming. Just a couple seats inside, but they've got a handful of tables outside. I've been here a couple times now. Had a chance to try the their full dairy ice cream as well as their vegan. They've got interesting flavors that include Asian inspired, which is great! The flavors are subtle though. Wish they had a little more intensity so it doesn't come across as just sweet. For similar style, I think Sarah's Handmade at Wildwood is a better option. Service was good. They were efficient but it in the world of ice cream, you gotta be quick before the ice cream starts to melt! They could interact with customers a bit more and be a bit more enthusiastic. Latest visit, they did get a lot of people asking to try multiple samples. That does hold up the line a bit. This spot is convenient. Parking has the typical Cabin John gripes though. I'll be back if I want something closeby. But 5 minutes further, I could get to Sarah's.

Love this place! As close to homemade as I can get :-) A favorite ice cream spot because the flavors are different, it is made on side, and it is not too sweet. I also love their rating comments on the flavor wall as well. It's pretty accurate for my palette the last time I was there. Double kiddie scoop is the perfect size to try two flavors. The flavors are pretty pronounced which is a bonus. The service is also friendly each time. Ambiance is family friendly with space to sit down and enjoy. Oh! their coffee flavor absolutely tastes like real coffee! Enjoy :-)

On a hot Maryland summer day, The Scoop is a must-go for an icy treat! Plenty of parking, easy to navigate line, pints to go, and a vast assortment of original and classic flavors to choose from, The Scoop was a welcome change from our usual ice cream spots! Plenty of people working behind the counter made service and paying fast, and the mellow music set the mood for the entire place as people steadily came in and out for their cones and shakes. Very clean, simple, and delicious. Definitely returning for their seasonal flavors!

Scoop of Matcha Green Tea and a Scoop of Mint Oreo
Tommy Y.

I got a Scoop of Matcha Green Tea and a Scoop of Mint Oreo. Both flavors were nice, texture wise it was a good creamy consistency, the matcha green tea had a light matcha taste to it, and the mint-oreo was a good combination of light mint flavors with cookies & cream oreo flavors. My two scoops went for about $14 which is a bit on the high side in my opinion, but the ice cream was pretty tasty. Service was friendly, they provided our group members with free samples as well for any flavors they were curious about which was really nice! The shop is clean and has modern vibes and a nice seating area.

From the second you walk in, it's clear this isn't your average scoop shop. The atmosphere is warm, nostalgic, and just chaotic enough (in the best way) to feel like you've stumbled onto a local secret that everyone somehow already knows about. And then there's the ice cream... which is borderline ridiculous. Every flavor tastes like it was made five minutes ago by someone who actually cares: rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. None of that airy, melts-before-you-sit-down nonsense. This is the kind of ice cream that makes you pause mid-conversation just to process what just happened on your taste buds. Whether you're going classic or trying one of their more creative flavors, it hits every single time. And the portions? Well, let's just say they don't believe in heartbreak. You ask for a scoop and they hand you something that feels like a small personal victory. What really seals it, though, is the consistency. You can come in on a random weekday or a packed weekend night, and it's the same quality, same energy, same "why is this so good?" moment every time. Bottom line is that Sarah's isn't just ice cream: it's a ritual, a reward, and honestly, it'a a bit of a problem once you realize how often you're craving it. 10 out of 5 stars, no notes.

Love is beautiful. Let's get into it! I did not want to do the brownie cookie sandwich, but my new big‑back friend said I could and should, so I did. Don't threaten me with a good treat. I will crumble faster than the cookie. The ice cream choices complement all things ice cream sandwich. Truly no wrong choices just great ice cream flavors for the best ice cream sandwich or bowl!
