Stopped in for a late lunch today at 3:40ish. Victoria was the only cashier at the front. So we walked up with a box of pastry ring and I told her that we would like to get this and two cups of wild rice and two drinks. She then says I need to charge you for the pastry. Umm, she should of got it at the very beginning! When we got our food, she charged us for two bowls of wild rice which isn't what I ordered!! We ordered two cups not bowls!! Pepperoni pizza tasted weird which I was disappointed considering that I've never had bad food at Panera and it is usually one of my favorite places for food! There's nothing in the morning that compares to the smell of freshly baked bread that wafted around inside this Panera restaurant. I was in Seattle for the weekend and was looking for a nice hot breakfast to start my day off right. I decided to try the sausage and Gouda soufflé. It is shaped like a souffle, but resembles a croissant stuffed with sausage and warm melty cheese. It was already hot so I didn't even have to wait long to get it. The dining room is attractive, but so was the warm sunshine outside so I picked up a cup of dark roast coffee and headed outside. There are eleven black metal cafe tables on the sidewalk outside.. Six of them stretch down one side of the restaurant and five down the other. The traffic was not heavy at that early hour on a Saturday so it was pleasant to sit outside and eat. They also carry a variety of bagels and pastas and salads for lunch and dinner. They have a full bakery where you can buy all types of pastries and even buy bread by the loaf. read more

I've been going here a lot more frequently during lunch, and as a result, have grown to like it a lot more. I've found some items on the menu that I can expect to be delicious each time I order them. Also, the atmosphere has grown on me. It has a nice cozy feel to it. Similar to a coffeeshop, but for whatever reason I like it more. As for the food, I personally enjoy the Steak and White Cheddar Panini. It has the most calories of paninis and sandwiches, but SO worth it! The Turkey Chili is fantastic. The company states it was an air bubble, but I bake bread and judging by the angular marks that look like jagged teeth I know it was not an air bubble. There's a reason that this Bellevue location of Panera Bread has received so many 1-star reviews. Dang. Wish I had read all these reviews before I went there last Saturday! But I was doing errands nearby and didn't even think about checking Yelp before I went in because I had had good experiences at other Panera locations. So many issues. First, the cashier talked to us with a sour look on her face the whole time and a monotone voice that barely disguised her irritation at having to take our order. We might as well have been assisted by a robot. In fact, I think a robot would have been nicer to us. Second, the waiters and waitresses could not deliver food to seated customers to save their lives. They give you a beeper with the number of your order on it. Did any of them look at the number as they passed by tables? No. One waiter tried to deliver an order that was clearly not ours to us. Then, the same cashier that had helped us only 5-10 minutes ago walks right by us twice and tries to deliver our meals to a table of customers who were already eating their lunches. She actually asked them, "Did you guys order more food?" Seriously? We had to wave her down to get our food. Third, our salads were subpar compared to what we've received at other Panera locations. Toppings were scant and dressing was just poured on and not tossed. Fourth, our table was dirty and we had to wipe it down with a napkin before sitting down and many dirty tables surrounded us as well. If you like Panera Bread, skip this location. I always think I'm going to love Panera and then it highly disappoints. This was my first visit to the Bellevue location and I will not be going back! I ordered the combo with Tomato soup and Mozzerella/Tomato sandwich. The soup was way to salty and they forgot the cheese croutons and my sandwich was burnt! The employees were all very, very young and really only interested in flirting with each other. OMG - the only reason this Panera Bread gets a star is because the food and bevies are tasty. We have been to this location many times and have experienced their mediocre service, but today takes the cake. We arrived a few minutes to spare before breakfast ended, and one couple was in front of us placing their order. By the time the cashier finished their transaction, it was 11:03am. My BF ordered a breakfast sandwich, and the cashier says that breakfast ended at 11...that was THREE MINUTES AGO?!?!? You aren't going to make an exception? Did the eggs just get automatically locked up until 6am tomorrow? He ended up only ordering coffee. I ordered a bagel, toasted, with cream cheese, tomato and avocado. What did I get? A toasted bagel. A container of sliced tomato, a container of cream cheese and a container of 1/2 an avocado - still in its skin. I actually had to MAKE MY OWN SANDWICH. Customer service = zero stars. Who owns this franchise? They need to do a complete staffing overhaul. PS - with regards to the coffee, for over a year now, the to-go cups have leaked and require double cups...paper cups are not new technology...how many defective coffee cups did you preorder? - A+++ customer service of the general manager!! - I live very close, so I'm VERY lazy to leave a comment. However, something unexpected happened the other day. As usual, I was getting my frozen mocha from this location. It was lunchtime and they were quite busy, but my drink was watery and nasty. It tastes like decaf coffee and also not as sweet as usual. There was no chocolate drizzle either. My husband usually drinks the whole thing by himself, but this time he stopped after 1 sip (so you know how bad it is..). Therefore, when they sent a survey via email about this visit, I left comment on how bad it was. I knew they were in the hiring process and underwent some changes, but I expected better. After all, who wants to spend $5 on a drink that tastes like shit? In like a day or two, the general manager Neal(?) called me and he apologized for the poor quality of that drink. He also offered to give me a free drink for my next visit. Therefore, I went there again within a week and my frozen mocha was as good as what it usually tastes again. Horrible catering service today. Placed order 4 days in advance online for some basic pastries and coffee to have for my son's birthday party delivered. Nothing turned out the way it was suppose to - had to have a family member drive to go get food an hour after it was suppose to be delivered and then to top it all off -- they send moldy lunch items that must have been in the fridge for days !!! The best part is - these items were platted and almost put on the kids table to eat !!!! Never again. I use to go to this location all the time for lunch too but now I refuse to support this business with a manager on duty who made me feel like it was my mistake for not knowing deliveries from that location on Sunday's was a no -no. ? And I actually called and talked to someone earlier in the day who said my order was confirmed and set and would be there at time scheduled. Horrible lack of communication within the store / team leads. Do not get on the phone and say " I have bad news" after I've already been waiting for 5 minutes. And I'm calling to say " where's my order ? I have hungry kiddos waiting. " No thank you josh was it ? Sadly my office is moving to downtown Bellevue in January and I'm sure we could have been doing weekly catering. The woman with the baseball cap at the counter did not seem happy with her job. When I say she has a very unusual name perhaps her manager will know who I am talking about. I pointed down to my three year old son and said "he will have a grill cheese." I gestured to the milk box he was holding and said "the milk box is for him."' She made an annoyed face and said "Is the grill cheese for him?" Is a tone of voice that was very disappointed. She slowly pressed the buttons to delete the item. "Whole or half?" she asked. Grandpa like his salad, my husband said he had better linguine sauce from Cost-co. My turkey cranberry wrap was diminished by the turkey which had a grizzled texture. On the plus side the apple was crisp and the milk box came with a sharp straw attached. Paper towels were not in the woman's bathroom. I've eaten at he Woodinville and the Redmond Panera Bread locations and I would rate them each four stars. The sad part is I can't think of another place within walking distance to the KidsQuest Children's Museum. Washington state had one of the biggest heat waves ever recorded. It was 100 on June 26,2021, 103 on June 27 and 110 on June 28. Because king county usually has mild weather most apartments do not have air conditioning and we could not access them because they were sold out. We had two therapy cats for me and my daughter for our disabilities Panera let us stay so our therapy animals would not get heat stoke and possibly die. Panera went above and beyond to accommodate our disabilities and made us feel welcome and part of the Panera bread family. I am now a Panera bread customer for life. read more

Ok, I frequent my fair share of Panera Breads every month, whether it's for business lunches, a quick healthier snack, etc. And this is by the far the worst Panera Bread I have encountered. Considering it's location, that comes as quite a surprise. Being located in one of the more upscale parts of the King County, one would expect more professionalism and quality overall. Both the food quality and presentation were sloppy at best, even greasy!!! The soup looked like someone just took it and reheated it in the microwave. The sandwich looked like all the ingredients were thrown on the bread and rushed out of the kitchen without a second thought. And the customer service from their staff was mediocre at best. Rude, flippant and aloof. It was one of those moments when one thinks to themselves, if you hate being here so much QUIT!! There are plenty of folks who are looking for work and are grateful to have a job. It's worth driving across town to the other location for better everything. read more

This is a solid Panera located a few blocks from Bellevue Square. The service was fine, and the cashier even reminded me that I had a free pastry from the Rewards program. The bagel I had was good although coupled with the cream cheese it was about $3 which is a bit on the pricey side. Their water cups were quite large. Their free wi-fi had no problems. I ordered a bagel with egg, I fortunately asked for it to be scrambled BEFORE it arrived, and after a couple of behind the counter conversations, my request was made. My below ratings for coffee and food are low, but it was partially compensated by the price - less than $6 total. I was able to pay by credit card, but had to tip in cash. COFFEE: 2.0. Had the medium roast. Tasted a little burnt and stale. Might be because I drained the carafe so got the dregs. FOOD: 1.5. Had a chocolate croissant, my standard point of patisserie comparison. Filling yet unsatisfying. Plenty of chocolate, but it wasn't evenly melted and interweaved into the pastry. Rather, the chocolate consisted of two sticks with the dough folded over them, and then baked. The sticks were only partially melted, and concentrated in middle of the croissant. I stop by this Panera frequently as it is close to my office and home. The parking lot can be exceptionally busy during lunch time, but is pretty open in the evening. The service is fantastic, the employees are really friendly and this location finally has table service. The device they give you to take to your table has GPS technology, once you set it on a table, your location is set. Keep this in mind if you move tables! I am a bit spoiled by my old location in Irvine, I am not a fan of clearing my own table and was surprised that this store has stations for guests to clear their tables. Seating can be tricky at lunch time, I like finding a table by the fire when it is rainy and chilly outside. I have never used the wifi, but there are plenty of patrons using their laptops and working at the tables. My favorite salads are the Thai Chopped Chicken and the Asian Sesame Chicken, both are 230 calories for a half salad. I love the Sierra Turkey on Focaccia with Asiago Cheese, which is a treat at 460 calories for a half sandwich. I usually order the Turkey on Country since it is pretty tasty and less than half the calories. The Chicken Noodle paired with a half sandwich make for a very filling lunch or dinner. I went to lunch this afternoon with my wife, three year old son, and father. It was not the best lunch ever. It was not the best lunch this week. I ordered the chicken tortellini Alfredo, choosing bread as my side dish. The tortellini were fine, but the Alfredo sauce was disappointing. How do you mess up Alfredo sauce? I like Costco store brand Alfredo sauce better. The chicken was shredded, cut into chunks, and chilled - an unusual choice, but OK. The bread seemed to be a not very sour sourdough, and tasted pretty good, but it was a bit doughy. The place is called Panera _Bread_; shouldn't at least the bread be excellent? My wife had the turkey cranberry flat bread. She said that the flat bread was good, but the turkey was so-so. She saved her apple (side dish) for later. Her mocha was OK. My toddler asked for a grilled cheese, but he ate only a few bites, before setting it aside and devouring most of an apple. For the sake of this review I tasted the grilled cheese sandwich, and my boy was not just being finicky; the bread was bland and the cheese was processed yellow cheese. I tasted the apple too, and it was very good; I think it was a particularly sweet Gala. He also enthusiastically gobbled up some of my tortellini. My father fared best; he said that his Greek salad was good. The service was lackluster too. The cashier girl at the counter smiled about as much as the touch screen menu gadgets by the door. At least the guy who brought our orders to our table was cheerful. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. This time I got the Roast Turkey Apple Sandwich. Yes, the description sounded great, but wow, it was EXTREMELY underwhelmed. It was dry, the turkey was only on the left side, the bread was falling apart, and sloppily assembled. It was to-go, so I couldn't return it. The Pros: The pickle was flavorful and crisp. The Cons: 1-The person who took my order (Emoni) had 0 personality (it was 12:49pm on Thursday, no one else inline). 2-It was 9.99...really, yes, that's 10 dollars of disappointment. This location is way too convenient for me when I just don't feel like cooking, so you can find me here a couple times a month. Pros: The food quality is good; I love the soups the most (French onion, corn chowder are my faves). Salads are tasty. And the pastries are big and sweet. They also have a loyalty program that gets your said pastries and discounts. Cons: Service is very slow. Not to order, but to prepare a take out. And there seems to be no urgency. I probably wait about 15 mins average for a soup and salad. BIG TIP HERE: order online in advance for rapid pickup. Each time I've done this, my order is usually quicker! read more

I have noticed over the past few years that both the quality and customer service at Panera have seriously gone downhill. It is obvious that nothing is made fresh anymore. I remember when Panera first opened and their sandwiches were amazing (the breakfast sandwiches, especially). I miss those days, but they are long gone. Portions keep getting smaller, taste and quality have deteriorated greatly, and yet somehow, the prices have gone up. Placed an order using the app for drive thru pick up at the 6550 N Division St store in Spokane Wa. The App said our order would be ready at 1:16. There is always a long line in the drive thru there and it moves very slowly so we got in the drive thru line at 1:05 we reached the ordering sign at 1:17 and were told that our order had just popped up on their screen so we would have to get back out of line (which took another ten minutes to get to the window) and re enter the line when we were sent a message saying our order was ready (which would require another long wait in the slow moving line) so we stopped at the window and asked if we could just pick it up inside and were told that would be OK. We went inside, and waited another ten minutes listening to the less than motivated order assembler tell her boss a story about how she had been up all night. When our order was finally ready, I had to explain that we were picking up our order inside that was supposed to go out through the drive thru, because we were told to go around and get back in line when we received the text message. The manager then started to tell me how next time I should wait for the message. I responded, that No there wouldn't be a next time, to which she responded "Oh,good!" So, since the manager said it was good that I wouldn't return, I won't! read more

Pretty much any experience at any other Panera surpassed this one. I appreciate that the ingredients at Panera are more responsibly and healthfully sourced, but I found the updated menu rather bland and boring--just like my sandwich (unless you get creative with the extras, but I shouldn't have to do all the work, should I? If so, I'll just go home). Worse yet, my co-eater ordered a pretty pricey salad that she said was about half the size from the last time she ordered and was missing key ingredients. I think she was missing the chicken in the chicken salad in fact, which partially explains its modest size but in reality is just ridiculous. She was too shy to confront the staff, but I'm not too shy to let you know that maybe this location is worth avoiding. Bottom line: Where's the flavor, volume and all my ingredients?
