The staff was rude to my wife and I. My son ordered a soufflé and we were never told it was at the cashier at the front. When I went to get the soufflé one of the employees wasn't sure if the one sitting on the counter so they asked another employee who it was for. The employee rudely said " I called six times for it to get picked up". I was standing at the food counter and couldn't hear her calling. When I sat down there was old food on walls. The food tasted good, so if you want to eat from here just take it to go and don't deal with the employees. read more

Panera's is the pretty much the same everywhere you go, but I think this one was exceptional. It was so good I went here 2 days in a row. The Mediterranean sandwich was delicious and so was the 10 vegetable soup. I'm pretty sure they're both vegan. The next time I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup because theirs is so much better than anyone else's. My only complaint is the plastic. They have eco friendly alternatives now if you are an adult, I don't think 1/2 a sandwich is gonna cut it, go for the full thing. read more

Nov 14, 2020 They have a delivery option on their website and it goes through a 3rd party "DoorDash". My order had said, "delivered" so I called them up to inquire about it because it wasn't delivered. So I call and get a worker who I guess wants to argue that there's not a delivery option on their website when there is. I understand that it went through DoorDash, but don't you think there should be an option to call or text DoorDash? I could be wrong, but even if there was, then these workers should have at least directed me to the dasher rather then brush it off. I love the concept of Panera and not all locations are alike. The Abington store is local to me but the past two times and one other time my order was wrong. It's so disappointing to get a sandwich wrong when it's just a matter of removing lettuce or tomato and adding advocado, especially when it's up on a screen for the sandwich maker to reference! Prior to that, I waited for my meal and the man next to me finally asked where his grilled cheese was (it had been 20 minutes!). There was a manager working the sandwich line if you can call it that; she was more in the way than helping. She told one of the workers more or less to get right on his order. Well, I realized after leaving their solution was to give him MY sandwich as all I received was soup. Strike 3. The first strike wasn't as bad, I got home to a missing sandwich, called right away and the manager refunded my entire order over the phone. The second time with the grilled cheese I called and was told they couldn't refund. I think I am done with this location. They are inept at best. Poor customer service. read more

I got the tomato soup bread bowl, and it was so good. The bread is always amazing no matter the type and is always fresh. The service is pretty good, and I never had a bad experience with employees. It's a great place to study and most of the time not too loud. The only problem I have had is with the fruity drinks by the fountain drink machine, they're pretty good but I found out that they had a disturbing amount of caffeine in them and have more caffeine than 5 shots of espresso but overall everything is great beside those drinks lol read more

I would give this Panera Five stars, for this is the Panera that I frequent the most; however tonight, March 22 I received the absolute WORST customer service by the cashier Molly who rung my order at approx 8:05pm. I came in to order a vegan lentil quinoa bowl. I initially asked if they carried ginger ale. When I asked her, she looked as if I irritated her and and said "I don't know we carry sparkling products" Right then and there I decided I didn't want anything else. She didn't ask for my rewards number but I volunteered it anyway. I know from my many visits to Panera that I have two accounts and usually the cashiers ask me which one I would like to use when I enter my telephone number, but she didnt. She just stood behind the register as if I'm inconveniencing her. Once she gave my total I attempted to put my card into the the card reader, but received a card malfunction error. I assume I wasn't moving fast enough for her because she made a gesture. When I checked my receipt for her name, she was using another person's register. Luckily I got her name from her name tag before I walked out. Again, I frequent this Panera often and rarely get poor service. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day but she clearly shouldn't be working with customers. Maybe she should be making sandwiches so she don't have to have interaction with people if she's going to have such a pissy attitude. read more

I come here almost daily and the food and drinks can be good, but management needs to get on the employees to do better. Egg shell in my breakfast sandwiches 5 times now. Just make the frozen caramel like the picture. The caramel latte is suppose to have caramel. Lately it's about 50/50 if I eat my food or throw it away. I love panera food when it's prepared correctly. Update as of 10/13/18: I still come here often because I like Panera food, but the service is getting worse, the people are either not trained properly or just don't care. Came in for a rapid pickup 10 minutes after it was to be ready and I asked about it, and was told someone who start it soon, waited 10 more minutes and asked again. Overall, I'd give the Panera brand 4 stars. I'm a big fan. This location gets 3, though. The spaciousness of the dining area, coupled with its less central location, means you'll rarely struggle to find a seat (unlike the congested Bel Air location). In other words it's usually empty. The outdoor seating is nice. In my experiences at this location, the employees seem to prefer socializing to taking my order in a friendly and attentive fashion. I don't like feeling like a buzzkill or a burden. And the Mediterranean veggie sandwich that I often get is just not as well-constructed here. Not enough spread, too much tomato, etc. I love Panera, all day erry day, but this location is mediocre. Breakdown... For quality of food and customer service, go to Bel Air. if you want some quiet time with your book or laptop and a cup of coffee, the Abingdon location is a better choice. read more

This location has gone down hill dramatically. The dining area and kitchen are always a mess. There is stuff all over the floor and no one is even attempting to clean any tables. The staff making the food has extremely inappropriate conversations and uses foul language within earshot of customers. It's Panera, what's not to like? Brand new building with a very spacious seating arraingement. Large outdoor seating area. The menu is the same no matter where you go. So, what makes or breaks Panera is their customer service. This Panera is going through growing pains as many of the staff are brand spanking new and are a little rusty on the finer details of service. I ordered half-dozen bagels, and the manager last night gave me 3-extra bagels. Okay you gotta love that!!! Free, dependable Internet, Bottomless cup of coffee, tea, soda, or ice tea Parking at this location can be difficult because it sits next to Joe's Crab Shack in the Wegman's shopping center. I have a theory that the farther away from a downtown area, the better the Panera is. Inner harbor Panera? Terrible. North Baltimore Panera? Blech. Towson Panera? Meh. Abingdon Panera? Now we're talking. Seriously, this Panera is strikingly superior to the others in the region. Everything they've served me has been fresh. None of those wilted lettuce leaves and substituted bread and large pieces of cilantro accidentally put into the cobb salad that I have experienced at other locations. The employees are also lacking the apathy so present in other locations. I come here for coffee almost every day, and they are always friendly and efficient. The manager is usually around greeting people and checking drink accessory stock. Occasionally the people preparing the food take a long time, usually during the breakfast rush, but other than that I've never had a less than pleasant experience at this location. I do have to say, I'm not a fan of the new dinner roll instead of a baguette as the side. But! They still have the baguette option, you just have to ask for it. read more

I've lived in the area for a few years and I've gone to this location a few times. Usually a rapid pickup order. Well the last several times I've come I've gotten nothing but poor service. My order hasn't been ready when I've picked it up in months. I literally have to ask them for it and then they go get it ready. Today, my order said it would be ready at 7:49, it was ready at 8. Mind you I ordered it at 7:38, and I even waited a minute or so before going in. Apart of my order was ready so it took them over 10 mins to make a drink while the rest of my food sat on the counter. Of course there's plenty of workers there yet, my food is never ready no matter what time of day. I will not be going to this location anymore. No explanation, no apology, plus an attitude. The place is EMPTY, there is another Panera 2 miles away, how the heck do you sell out?? While I don't go to Panera very often, when I do, I will always go to this location. The food is good but the owner and employees are why I will continue to patronize them. What they did for the families of our two fallen deputies here in Harford County will never be forgotten. Last weekend, they donated 100%...yes, you read that correctly...100% of their sales between Friday and Sunday to the families of our fallen heroes. I've seen plenty of businesses do fundraisers for 10%, 15%, sometimes even 20%. But I've never seen a business give their entire sales to a cause. When I thanked them for what they were doing, the cashier said it was their honor and pleasure and that the owner is a wonderful guy who cares about the community. I couldn't agree more and will never forget what they did for Harford County. read more

This is my favorite panera bread! Been to white marsh, Rosedale, and Bel air and this is my favorite. White marsh and Rosedale locations suck. They're in crappy locations and are a pain to get to. What was disturbing to me was that on this weekday morning the weary traveler that I am needed to go potty, like really bad and by goodness there was no paper to well you know.. Had to ask for some and twas embarrassing though I know that it should not be as after all its normal to have to go and one should not have to hold it after anticipating the relief. Took a few minutes but manager did his job and then I did mine. Further more I did notice that there was a lot of pee if you will under the urinal. That is not Paneras fault people in this case men and boys are dogs. A visit to McDonalds later that day for the express purpose stated found me confronted with a wet toilet seat and an unflushed situation. People suck!! So again the breakfast sandwich I had was a veggie type with egg white and avocado quite good with a nice cup of Joe but Panera ya'll need to clean up your act. read more
