I think to help combat food contamination, the prep maker needs to clean off the knife every time they cut their subs. I had the Club sub, like always, but mine had some extra stuff that I didn't ask for like their was a piece of roast beef that happen to tag along with my sub which doesn't come with my sub, as well on the cut tip of the sandwich had the taste of hots, which I do not like and surprisingly I got a mouthful. Not knowing the drill, we had to figure out that you needed to go to the back of the store to order your food. They take your order. What was impressive was that the cold meats and cheeses were cut to order. The subs come in 3 sizes - mini, regular, and giant. You order by #. All subs are made to order. We had a #17 ($18.65), which was a Mike's Famous Philly that normally comes with grilled onions, peppers & white American cheese. We asked for ours to have just the meat, provolone and mayo. I wish I had thought to say light mayo, because it had way too much on the sub. The rolls were soft, but a lot of bread. The other sub we ordered was a #13 ($17.95) which was The Original Italian, which came with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni - then they added lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. This sub was loaded with meat and cheese. The subs are not inexpensive - the minis run about $7.45, regular $10.25, and giant $17.95 (depending on what sub you order). Don't be surprised to see when you check out there is a request for a tip!

They have tons of Door Dash orders, as well as walk in customers. There were 3 people working. One obviously had experience. The others were brand new. The nice gentleman waiting on us even apologized a couple times saying he was brand new. This is a place where you train by doing. Don't be mean! The restaurant does have spaces to sit if you want. Firehouse only has chips though to go along with the variety of sandwiches...and drinks.... but I guess that makes sense considering how stuffed their sandwiches are. They're definitely not stingy with the meat and the bread is a good/hearty crusty Italian roll too even though it's not baked in house....like Subway....but I dislike Subway.... because they're stingy. They upsell you on meat that they should put on the sandwich to begin with. Firehouse makes a good sub. They have about eight to a dozen different types of sandwiches, white or wheat bread, salads, and a well stocked fixins bar for you to design a sandwich to your liking. And when they say 12" , they don't need to measure cuz it's definitely a full foot long sandwich. Sandwiches served in a footlong biodegradable cardboard box. Yup....I like Firehouse Subs. 3/5 stars: "My Pleasure" Felt More Like "My Inconvenience"…read more I've been a loyal Chick-fil-A customer for years, and the brand built its reputation on hospitality. That's why this morning's visit stung. I came in around 9:45 a.m. for breakfast. After finishing my meal, I walked up to the pickup area inside with my empty cup in hand, which at any Chick-fil-A is a universally understood signal for a refill. No line. No other dine-in customers. Just me, standing there. For about ten minutes, I watched four employees walk past me. They called out DoorDash orders for drivers who weren't even in the building. One employee left the counter to wipe down the dining room and walked right past me without a word. Another walked over to drop a bag on the DoorDash shelf, looked through me, and kept moving. I asked for a refill three separate times. Ignored each time. Finally, I stopped a young man heading back to the kitchen and asked, "Do you still do refills?" He said yes and started to walk off. I had to ask a second time: "Could you please give me a refill?" He paused, said "Sure, my pleasure," and grabbed my cup. Here's the thing. "My pleasure" is supposed to mean something here. It's part of why people choose Chick-fil-A over every other fast-food chain on the strip. When it gets reduced to a scripted line you mumble to make a customer go away, the entire brand promise falls apart. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing it because the standard S. Truett Cathy set was the reason this company became what it is, and the team on shift this morning needs a reminder of what that standard actually looks like. Acknowledging the person standing three feet in front of you with an empty cup is step one. To the operator: I'd genuinely love to see this addressed. The food was fine. The service was the problem.
