Decent Chinese food. Not the best I've ever had but decent. Fast service and friendly

Omggg I'm so happy that I made the choice to stop here. If you know me, you should know that I LOVe Chinese food! So I am very picky about what restaurants I eat from. I knew I had a hidden gem when the 6pm after work hour rush came and so many ppl were calling in or picking up orders. Even door dashers were in line waiting to pick up orders. When I got home I was happy to see that my chicken wings were amazing! They were fried to a golden crisp with mad flavor on them. My combination (beef,shrimp,chicken) & broccoli was to die for!!! I ordered the seafood in garlic sauce but what I got was broccoli in garlic sauce. Also the seafood ( what little there was) was overcooked and the broccoli was undercooked. It was tough to chew and the pieces of broccoli were cut way too big. I was disappointed and dissatisfied. read more

Consistent Chinese food. I always get the wonton soup and hot and sour soup (love to mix them together for some reason). There steamed dumplings and egg rolls are also great. Their spring rolls tend to be very greasy. Depending on the mood order various things but all have been good - chicken and broccoli, General Tso, etc. read more

Simply the best in the business. I go every Thursday for their Crab Cheese wonton and Orange Chicken. The Crab Cheese is to DIE for. I can't live my life without experiencing the ooey gooey texture that makes me die and then come back to life. The staff is pleasant and makes me feel welcomed like I left to go to college and came back home for the holiday. They treat me with respect and ALWAYS deliver everything I ask for. The store itself is just as cozy as can be. How can you be upset with a place that just gives off such a good Chinese family vibe. The food is greasy but not in a bad way. It's more of an elevated Panda, if you really want to compare the two. With more real American flavors mixed in with their authentic dishes. My partner, who has taken to making all of our Chinese food, found some of their flavors pretty spot on and others not. So, it's a pretty good spot for that. It's pretty small but most people get takeout and they are quite clean. And though they have some Chinese speakers, it was interesting to hear their take on their food items. We ordered the Wonton Soup because people were raving about it from their reviews but fell short of expectations. Bland and nothing extra about it. The same goes with the Crab & Cheese wonton. Great Asain old school fast food. I have tried many food items here because price is not ridiculous and majority has been very good. People are very nice which is comforting nowadays. Absolute favorite is a basic, but there's is always same taste and quality. Hot and Sour Soup (Sichuan Style). I prefer the chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes. As many times as I've passed by this restaurant, I've never tried it until today. The kiddo was in the mood for egg rolls and Lemon N Ginger only has spring rolls, so we decided to try here. The egg roll was delicious and perfectly crispy. Also got veggie fried rice and it was pretty good. I'll definitely come here again! read more

I've been to this carry out several times now and I have enjoyed my food most of the time. The curry shrimp was slightly salty but still very good. I have had the dumplings, spring rolls, eggs rolls, wonton soup, Singapore noodles, and a few other main dishes. I must say the spicy scallop and vegetables dish wasn't my favorite. There wasn't a good mix of vegetables and there weren't as many scallops as I thought there'd be. The scallops that were in the dish were cut pretty thin. This is still a go to place for me since they do have many tasty dishes. They can get very busy at times. So I'd recommend calling and ordering ahead. read more

absolutely the worst restaurant and Chinese food in the United States of America. I have been to every state in the Union. they literally put soy sauce drowning my food in soy sauce after expressedly ordering food with no soyy sauce since I am celiac and soy sauce is made of wheat. they literally drowned my food in soy sauce. they refused to replace it or refund me. what it consisted of was tons and tons of chopped up onions , three pieces of shrimp and gallon of soy sauce and some noodles. initially I thought maybe they made brown garlic sauce out of something else and tasted it. not only did it taste horrific I vomited. I've never been to a worse place in my 49 yrs of life. never go here for authentic Chinese food. never. I'm never returning and I'm filing a case against them for poisoning me. read more

We happened to be in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat and settled on Kings Chinese Carryout. Having never been here before it really is best described as a hole-in-the-wall or mom and pop joint. The food is truly outstanding my girlfriend got scallops in green sauce and I got he the Shrimp in Hunan sauce. Large portion sizes typical of Chinese carry out. The sauces were very flavorful with a wide variety of fresh veggies. The shrimp and scallops tasted fresh and so good. The staff seemed friendly and efficient. We watched several interactions with local usuals but we had are food within fifteen minutes. We did not have to beg for condiments either. We will definitely be back here when we return to the area. read more

Kings is awesome, end of story. I can honestly say my family has been getting carry out from Kings as long as I can remember. The family that owns this place are the nicest people ever. My mom is Chinese so connected with the owners and they always recognize us and talk to us when we come in. It's nice to feel like you have a personal connection with a business. We have moved away from Abingdon for the past three years but whenever we are nearby we will go out of our way to make sure we revisit our old go-to and favorite Chinese carry out. Whenever I'm in Abingdon my mom makes me bring her home Singapore rice noodles because she hasn't found a place around Timonium that she likes as much. I will continue to be as much of a regular at Kings as I can! Food is awesome and it's nice knowing you're contributing business to people who are truly wonderful and deserving. read more

King's is one of the better American Chinese food places I have came across in a while, especially living in Harford County. The food is pretty fresh, clean tasting for the most part. Good flavor, always executed correctly. I've tried quite a few dishes from the General Tso Chicken, Szcheuan Shrimp, to the Lo Mein. Not stingy with the shrimp. We've lived here in Abingdon (Harford County) since October 2004. This & another place have been a staple of Chinese take-out. The food was always solid but the new ownership (a young guy) has the place better. We always get the combination platters, its a really good buy for an entree, pork fried rice, & a really well made egg roll. Our go to order is beef & broccoli with extra beef & orange chicken. We also get the carb cheese wontons. My wife has been addicted to them recently & so have I. It's always perfectly fried every time we get it. Sometimes we get a small wonton soup which is also perfect every time. The customer service has always been stellar & perhaps even more so with the new ownership. The new folks he has are really nice people. I keep wanting to try new items but so addicted to what we get. I do want to try their fried chicken wings since the crab cheese wontons are perfectly fried. The chicken has to be too. Definitely recommend this spot over any in the immediate area. read more

My receipt only shows my initial order yet this is not what I received. So disappointed. I am no longer in the area so it would be highly inconvenient to take this food back. I've been in Harford county for a number of years now, and ever since my move, I have yet to find my "default" Chinese restaurant. I've tried them all, but I was recently enamored with King's. Their egg rolls are the best I've tried locally, and their chicken meals are the freshest and best tasting I've had in years. Let's put it this way, I have eaten many a General Tso's from locations abound, spending most of my time careful not to look at the chicken after I've taken a bite, totally terrified that I'd catch a glimpse of the grey-brown pseudomeat that I'm consuming and forcing myself into the self-deprecating thought that I'm continuing to eat something unidentifiable. This does not happen here. The chicken is white, fresh, and juicy, while still holding it's batter and flavor without sacrifice. That being said, I have heard that their vegetable based dishes are phenomenal as well, but I have a hard time pulling myself from the chicken. Now I've gone and made myself hungry. read more

I have lived in Harford County for 5 years, and it took us a while to find a good chinese restaurant. For the last 4 of those years, my wife and I have been patrons of Szechuan Inn on Route 40. Their food is quite good (depending mostly on which cook is on duty.) Unfortunately, they're closed for repairs and I really wanted Chinese food. I turned to Yelp -- an App I just found very recently. I did a search for Chinese Food and King's Chinese Carryout popped up. I was skeptical, having tried several other chinese carryouts in the area but gave it a go anyway. King's is NOW my favorite Chinese Food restaurant. The food we ordered today was EXCELLENT and very flavorful. They have a pretty robust menu although, unfortunately, they did not have Tomato Beef Chow Mein (it must be a California thing...) Unfortuntely for Szechuan Inn -- I will likely not return. I'll be patronizing King's from today on! read more
