Stopped by on the way back from oot. My friend has been here before for some sushi but we decided to get a little but of everything. We're not too hungry but hungry enough for some app and a roll. We're decided on crab Rangoon, calamari, tuna tataki and titanic roll. Everything was great, we finished it all. Love the tuna, presented beautifully on a lettuce sprinkled with green onions and black sesame. The calamari, while it's not the breaded crispy, its crispy and stir fried with red green pepper and red onions. Loved this too. Crab Rangoon, it's good but not a fan of the dipping sauce that came with it. It's overly sweet and thick in the consistency... this one could definitely be improved. We ended up eating it with the sauce that came with the calamari. Now onto the titanic, nothing but good thing. Fresh and love give it has a black caviar on top. Last but not least, we had to finish with mango sticky rice. The rice came out so warm which was a very nice touch. Ate every bits of it. We visit Lemon and Ginger each time we visit my sister who lives in Abingdon. The food is delicious with great portions. The restaurant is cute and never overly busy. The service could be slightly better but overall no compliments. My two fixes for them would be 1) bring the crispy noodles out when someone orders a soup. Or at least ask if they are wanted. Each time we get soup we have to specifically ask for them 2) would be lovely if we are able to request the food to be spicy. We have before but it never comes out spicy. I know they've got the spice back there. Would love if they allowed guests to pick a spice level 1-5. We like our food spicyyyyy. Next time I may bring a small zip lock with my Thai spice powder to add. We love the gyoza, the hot and sour soup is the perfect consistency and has great flavor - prob the best H&S I've had (ask for crispy noodles!) and the panang curry is tasty (just could be more spicy). Let me start with this is asian fusion, but delicious. I have been here several times with family, and haven't been disappointed yet. The sushi meal deals they have for lunch and dinner always seem to be my go to. My brothers have tried a few of the chicken entrees and loved it as well. One had the Orange chicken with white rice and it was a HUGE portion! He was able to take some home because of the portion size. The lunch/dinner roll combo comes with a choice of soup, salad (their house salad, is not the most desirable), egg roll or some items that are an up charge. This is an alcoholic establishment so order yourself a beer or cocktail! So far each time I have visited, the service has been great! If you are not too familiar with what's in certain sushi's, the waiters/waitresses have white menus that can assist, just ask. The inside is well decorated. They even have a section where you can sit in the traditional way. (Not sure the name). There is plenty of parking in the rear of the building. The interior is nice but the chirashi dish, which the menu said includes 11 sashimi, was below par. Two of the 11 supposed sashimi was a grocery store imitation crab stick cut in half. One was a subpar shrimp that was previously frozen. Two were supposedly tamagoyaki, a cooked egg product, not fresh raw fish. The other 6 were thinly sliced raw fish, so 6 of the 11 pieces were actual sashimi. Also, the usual Wasabi paste and sliced ginger were not served with this sashimi dish, but were provided when requested. read more

For the sake of being clear, this is a spot for the non-Asian people's Asian food. The dishes are clearly not for the Asian person's palette. There is a LOT of salt and oil in the dishes. And the overall takeaway is that not many Asian people eat here. But for an Americanized take on Asian fusion food, this place is pretty good. The decor and attention to detail here is terrific. I love the terracotta warrior statues standing guard in the foyer as you walk in. The restaurant has a very modern feel. Even the menus have a very intricate design, as do the seat back paddings which have Asian characters printed on if you look closely. We enjoyed our meal. My husband got the drunken noodle with mushroom soup and I got the chicken Penang curry with hot and sour soup. Portion sizes were decent and I got a great amount of tender chicken meat. We got green tea ice cream as well. How wonderful that it actually came with multiple scoops. I was expecting a single sad scoop, which some restaurants serve. Our waitress was friendly and our food came pretty quickly. The only reason for one star less is we had sushi here once before and it wasn't impressive. The rolls were small and the fish didn't taste fresh. We weren't brave enough to try it again but the rest of our experience this time around was great. They were not cooked, watery, unseasoned. Rice was fine. Can not mess up white rice. The orange chicken was gross! It was clearly frozen chicken warmed up and drenched in sauce. When you cut the chicken open.... Where is the chicken. I ate half a piece, and would not recommend this place to anyone. The prices of the food, do not match the quality for sure. I could easily bought frozen chicken bites like they did and heated them in a oven myself for cheaper. Rating 1-10.... A solid and generous 2. I frequently order takeout from Lemon N Ginger through Doordash but also dine-in from time to time. The sushi is always freshly made for each order. The rice is always cooked to perfection and the ingredients are fresh. Every visit, I include specific instructions (I'm a cut small + extra wasabi girl) and they are always followed to the T. On my most recent dine-in visit, I branched out and ordered hot dishes in addition to my normal sushi order. I started off the meal with Spring Rolls, a House Salad and a Lychee Martini. You can't go wrong with spring rolls. The ginger dressing for the house salad was to die for. The consistency wasn't too watery nor was it extremely thick. The lychee martini was sweet and came with an actual piece of lychee. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for something light but strong. For my entrée, I tried the Drunken Noodles. The noodles came out piping hot and well seasoned. I ended the meal with the mango sticky rice ice cream. It wasn't mango season but the mango was still sweet. The rice was well cooked and the cream pulled it all together. They have options for people on a budget or for people who are looking to splurge a little bit. This is the 2nd time we've tried to eat here and it just wasn't very good. I got Beef Hibachi and my spouse got chicken teriyaki. My beef was sooooo tough. A quite Japanese restaurant nestled within a mall in Abingdon. There's an option to sit in regular tables or choose to pay extra to experience sort of a Japanese-style dining. My kids and us chose the latter just for the experience. And I guess next time, we'll do the same thing. There were a few Japanese costumes / kimonos that were used as decors on the wall for a more Japanese feel. The food were great and the presentation as well. I'm glad they have all the sorts of food I like from Japan. Although we didn't order sushi that time because we were in keto. Hopefully next time. Hands down the best crab rangoons I've ever had in my life! The thing I love most about these guys is all of the ingredients are fresh and great quality. A little on the pricey side but when it's quality food I don't mind it. They are even flexible on the menu a few times I've ordered my own creation of "crab and shrimp fried rice"... SOOOO GOOD! It was pretty dead when I came in and I was seated immediately. My friend and I each started with soup (I got hot and sour) and an order of dumplings to share. The hot and sour soup compared to my go-to carryouts was meh. The flavors weren't quite rich or spicy enough. The dumplings were disappointing as well... they were small and lackluster. I've visited this restaurant several times and did take-out. I have not eaten in yet since it typically is very busy whenever I visit. I mainly order different veggie rolls and I usually do enjoy them. I have ordered some cooked non-veggie rolls as well. The staff has always been nice. Unfortunately, a few times that I visited here I was not pleased with my food. It just wasn't as good as I expected.
