Eel and avocado roll and salmon, mango and cream cheese
Milton Y.

Really enjoyed the food here, the miso was on point and the rolls where smackin. Listen, I am a sushi addict and this place hit the spot. The rolls were dope and the fish and ingredients were super fresh and the chef is talented; the right amount of every ingredient, the fish was perfectly selected. We had miso soup, great flavor with alot of texture, really enjoyed it. The shumi soup is a must try, even if you share it, it's bussin-bussin; I'll be back just for that, just an unforgettable taste. The Sushi chef must have been trained by the dopest of Jedi foodies. The specialties rolls are executed to perfection and the presentation is awesome; really enjoyed the combinations and was just an enjoyable meal made by someone that really takes pride in making great tasting food. They also offer gluten free soy sauce and are very aware of what contains gluten and cross contamination, so even when we modified our roll and the chef still nailed it. Listen, if you are local, or just passing through on the interstate, and love sushi, this is the place to stop in a enjoy it. We stopped in at 10:00 on a Saturday night and the place was a ghost town but the door was none stop DoorDash and Uber, it didn't take us long to figure it out. We will def be back.

The food is ok not great. Customer service isn't as good as other place. I walked in by myself, and tried to ask if I can sit by the bar. I asked her if I can sit somewhere else (the bar), she said :"no, you sit here", then she walked me to the table which is fine to me. I don't know if it's because I'm by myself or not. Later on, there are a group of 3 people coming, and she asked if they want to sit by the bar or not. It's so unfair. I feel that when you come in with a lot of people, they will greet you better than just by yourself. She is so busy chatting with other group of people while I was waiting for the check. The check is not as other place, it just shows the total money not break down items (picture attached). This place doesn't have special deal for lunch on Saturday, Sunday and holiday.

Chicken Katsu Bento

This was my first visit to Zen16. Needed a quiet escape from the office. I was the only person here, hmmm. I ordered the chicken katsu bento box and it was truly cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy and hot. The bento box could easily feed 2 people. Service was quick and the waitress polite and friendly. I can't figure out why no one is here. Price was reasonable for lunch. I'll definitely com back again.

Atmosphere was ok. Very empty. The menu selection was ok. Sushi was better than most grocery stores but leaves a little to desire. The prices are a tad high but not bad.

Zen16 is phenomenal!! Their spicy mayo is gluten free so many special rolls can be made Celiac safe! They are so careful about cross contamination and I have never had an issue. The rolls are delicious and the fish is very fresh. My favorite sushi place in Bel Air. Hands down!!!

I chose a few rolls , I got California rolls , cucumber rolls and tamago nigiri. The California roll did not have enough cucumber in it, it was mostly crab and a little bit of avocado. It was like shredded crab in the California rolls and I prefer the chunks of crab. The tamago nigiri and cucumber roll was fine. Service was okay.

Amazing tuna roll, Kimono roll.

My favorite sushi restaurant! Food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Very clean and nicely decorated. They offer beer and wine as well.

Ordered using Grubhub pickup. Tempura was crispy and not oily at all. The dipping sauce for it was on point. Chicken katsu was also crispy and like the tempura was cooked fresh to order. Not a fan of the spring rolls as the wrapper was a little too thick and probably could use a minute or two more in the fryer. Also ordered the pad Thai which had large chunks of chicken breast. The entreé was ok though looked like it was missing flavors of garlic and scrambled eggs. It came with a small container of crushed peanuts and half a lime. Everythjng was packaged very neatly and came with the dipping sauces in ramekins and utensils including chopsticks. I'd definitely return for the tempura and katsu but pass on the noodle dish.

GROSSS "Baltimore Roll"

So overpriced and highly confused about what each roll should consist of. A BALTIMORE ROLL is crabmeat and avocado. Get it right. On Uber Eats it doesn't offer a descriptor. I can't believe this was $10.00. You should be ashamed.

The raw fish was incredibly fresh, and the rolls tasted like they were made with love. What really impressed me? The waiter remembered me and my order from a few days ago. That kind of service makes all the difference. Definitely back on our favorites list!

Stopped by Rainbow King in Bel Air to grab a quick bite before heading to work. I ordered the…read moreshrimp egg rolls (2 pieces) with duck sauce, and let me tell you, those egg rolls were AMAZING! Crispy, flavorful, and exactly what I needed before my shift. Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different story. When I walked in, the restaurant was practically empty. There were only two employees inside and no other customers, yet the service was awful. I felt like I was bothering the employees simply by being there and placing an order. And that's one thing I absolutely cannot stand. I should never feel like I'm inconveniencing you by spending my money at your establishment. Especially when the restaurant isn't even busy. The egg rolls alone would've been enough to bring me back, but customer service matters just as much as the food. I would've happily returned to try more of the menu, but after that interaction, I'm not so sure. Three stars, and they're strictly for those egg rolls.

We had a mostly really good experience here and were honestly impressed by the portion sizes!…read more The restaurant itself has a really nice interior. It's spacious with lots of booth seating, warm wood tones and Asian-inspired decor throughout. It definitely feels like a proper sit-down restaurant rather than just a quick takeout spot. Service was good and we had no issues at all, although I would describe it as more efficient than personable. Everyone was nice, there just wasn't a lot of interaction beyond what was needed. We tried the spicy beef soup, beef on a stick, chicken chow mein and the General Tso's Super Meal. The spicy beef soup was one of our favorites. It had the perfect amount of spice, enough heat to notice without overpowering the flavor, and they definitely didn't skimp on the ingredients. It was loaded with beef and vegetables. The beef on a stick was good, although the beef was a little chewy and fairly mild on its own. Adding some soy sauce gave it the extra flavor we felt it needed. The chicken chow mein was a HUGE portion with tender chicken and crunchy vegetables in a light clear/white sauce, served with white rice. We especially liked that the vegetables still had a nice crunch rather than being cooked until completely soft. I ordered the General Tso's Super Meal for $19.95, which came with chicken wonton soup, two crabmeat wontons and two shrimp toasts. The amount of food you get is honestly impressive. The General Tso's was mildly spicy with really good flavor, the broccoli was lightly steamed so it still had a nice crunch without tasting raw, and the white rice was cooked well. I only managed to eat about a quarter of my entrée! Unfortunately, the appetizers included with my Super Meal were the biggest misses. The crabmeat wontons were not what I expected. If you're thinking of the sweeter crab Rangoon commonly served at Chinese restaurants, these are definitely different. They were much more savory. There were visible shreds of imitation crab, but I really couldn't taste much of it because the cream cheese flavor was so dominant. Duck sauce helped, but I still didn't finish the second one. The shrimp toast was unfortunately my least favorite item. The outside was nicely fried and crispy, but when I bit into it there was a surprising amount of moisture inside. I know shrimp toast should have a moist, tender filling, but this went beyond moist for me and almost felt waterlogged. There was shrimp flavor, but I also picked up an odd metallic taste that I personally couldn't get past. I only managed one bite. Those two appetizers definitely weren't for me, but they wouldn't stop us from returning. The actual entrées were good, the portions were incredibly generous and we left with plenty of leftovers. There's a huge menu, so we'd definitely be interested in coming back and trying something different next time.

We're not too hungry but hungry enough for some app and a roll. We're decided on crab Rangoon, calamari, tuna tataki and titanic roll. Everything was great, we finished it all. Love the tuna, presented beautifully on a lettuce sprinkled with green onions and black sesame. The calamari, while it's not the breaded crispy, its crispy and stir fried with red green pepper and red onions. Loved this too. Crab Rangoon, it's good but not a fan of the dipping sauce that came with it. It's overly sweet and thick in the consistency... this one could definitely be improved. We ended up eating it with the sauce that came with the calamari. Now onto the titanic, nothing but good thing. Fresh and love give it has a black caviar on top. Last but not least, we had to finish with mango sticky rice. The rice came out so warm which was a very nice touch. Ate every bits of it. Service was great attentive and dining area is clean and pretty. There's a seating area on the side where you basically sit in the floor. Would love to come back and experience that another time.
