I have had a craving for Singapore Mei Fun! I call and the lady says "we ran out". Ok, I just get egg rolls ( which were poorly flavored and mush on the inside). Hubby gets his lo mein, which he loves. I call a few weeks later...same reply: "we ran out". Its just rice noodles and protein/vegs, really? I ask if they actually still make it, as they didn't have it last time either. Sigh. I order beef and green beans. They give me beef and broccoli. When I call and say the order was wrong, they insist that's what I ordered. This place has rude staff and they certainly seem dishonest that they "ran out"...of noodles??? Be warned. read more

The food did not taste good at all. The beef and broccoli was raw and mushy. We also ordered Mongolian beef and that was mushy, raw, and did not have any flavor. We ordered carry out and the bag was soaked from sauces dripping out of the cartons. The eggs rolls tasted chalky, and the lo mein tasted like old noodles that had been microwaved over and over again. We understand that there is a pandemic but serving undercooked food is never acceptable. The prices are a bit high as well, especially for what you get. read more

I would have given 4 stars, maybe 5, but from the photos you'll see why. Overall, this place has good quality food. I'd even say slightly better than the other Chinese restaurants in the area. However, they need to learn to pack their product better. Containers were over filled, and had way to much liquid sauce. Started taking food out of the bag and sauce went all over the floor, counter and my pants. If you're trying to give as much as you can to a customer, I appreciate that, but I wouldn't have complained here if the bag of food didn't require me to place all containers in the sink, wipe them down and serve from there. I don't usually do the take style places but since I was working, I needed something fast. Ordered a simple egg roll, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, 2 bottles of water. The sticker price was only $13 and some change. The rice was piping hot and had a nice blend. My co-working wanted to steal it. The egg roll was also good with a balance of fillings and not over stuffed with shredded cabbage or bean sprouts. I'll have to give them another try in the future. read more

My favorite chinese carry out in Bel Air and one of my go-tos for lunch. The servings are generous, friendly service, and the price is very fair. I love their shrimp fried rice especially. The downside- they serve everything with way too much sauce. It always pours out of the container and makes meat and rice soggy. Not the best quality of meat either. Sesame chicken is one of my favorites and I keep trying theirs, but never satisfied. read more

Placed an order for carry out on a Friday night. It was ready 10 minutes sooner than their estimate. We ordered chicken chow mein, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, Hunan chicken, and egg rolls....and the order was correct. Our only negative was the Hunan chicken was barely spicy, and that is according to our tastes which run to the spicier side. All the rest was well prepared with regard to taste, texture and seasoning. The portion sizes were large enough that 2 family meals were had for the price of one. Value, quality and quantity of food, order accuracy and fast service on a busy night were all exceptional! On the whole compared to other non-chain west coast, midwest and east coast Chinese restaurants, this restaurant rates 4 1/2 stars because they have no dine-in capacity. Secondarily, it is an Americanized Chinese menu, albeit well executed. Kim Wah is not upscale like PF Chang; neither is it a divey or fast food chain restaurant like Panda Express or Happy Wok. It hits or exceeds the mark in just about every respect as to what Americans generally want for Chinese food. Sadly, I have to give Kim Wah a poor review. I had high expectations, and I was really looking forward to unearthing that next great hidden Chinese food treasure in Bel Air, but I was disappointed. We ordered the special Kim Wah wonton soup, the steamed dumplings, pork lo mein, pork fried rice, and BBQ spare ribs. The soup was good, but not great. The lo mein was below average. The rice was average, and the container was certainly over-flowing, but the flavor was not that great overall. It almost seemed like a non-native Chinese chef cooked it (or something). One high note would be the dumplings... They did seem to be made fresh onsite because the dough and the filling was scrumptious! I have nothing good to say about the spare ribs... The flavor of the sauce was just all wrong, and I can't explain it, but I only ate two (i tried the second one hoping it would be better, but it wasn't). Overall, I'm only giving them two stars because the steamed dumplings were outstanding, but the rest was pretty bad! Wok To Go up on Rt. 22 has better flavor. read more

My family ordered take out from Kim Wah to try it out since I live in the neighborhood. We ordered egg rolls, chicken wings, Beef Lo Mein, Triple Delight, and chicken fried rice. The food was ok. My dish was pretty good, I had the triple delight which consists of Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef w/ mixed vegetables in a brown sauce. Overall, this is my 2nd favorite Chinese eatry in Bel Air. The fried rice tasted odd, there was way too much sauce on the sesame chicken (it overflowed the takeout container) and the sweet and sour chicken was tough. While they took forever to make my food I heard the cashier argue with a customer on the phone, and after yelling about an egg roll mix-up she hung up on them. Call ahead and order your food so it's ready for pick up, we waited and it took about 15 minutes to cook 4 dishes. They take entirely too long. Even when I arrive at the stated time of readiness, usually 30-40 minutes I still wait. It's too long to wait for what is really Only C grade Chinese food. Maybe C plus. Many other Chinese food take out will blast out quality food in 15-20 or less. I should have just driven a bit further to the Orient on Main Street. I'd settle for Kim Wah in a pinch. The food is 3 perhaps 3.5 stars worth but the wait makes it a 2 star joint. read more

Since I recently moved back to Bel Air I decided to try out Kim Wah since it was a new establishment that popped up since I last lived here. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and it was okay. The beef was in good sized pieces but maybe a little more could be added. I enjoyed the taste of the lo mein beside the fact it might have been on the dryer bland side. Sauces are flavorful. Shrimp fresh. The people are friendly. Prices are fair. What more can you ask for? Well, there's one thing. My favorite dish from there is Singapore Mei Fun. The flavors are wonderful but I've only been able to order it twice. No matter what time of day I call to order, they are "all out of mei fun for the day". The 2 times i actually did get it, I had to wait over an hour for it. I don't mind waiting.
