Melissa server extraordinaire

Milo is one of the best waiters we found in Santa Barbara. I believe he's only there on Sunday and Monday or Monday and Tuesday. He works at the SY ranch as a food runner when he is not there. He grew up in the industry as his family had a wonderful restaurant. We've always loved this restaurant, especially when they have the chanterelles in season. It feels like a true local warm Italian eatery. We like to sit outside in the covered patio with the heaters. Food is typically consistent and there's something for everyone Milo is a real standout and deserves a review all on his own. We will be returning even more often on Mondays when he is working. Service is part of what makes going out so very special. Of course, the ambience and food must match and it does

It's a beautiful tucked away gem. It seems like it's more of a locals restaurant. The staff new most of the people coming in. Impeccable service. Ambience was beautiful. We dined outside. The artichoke appetizer was the best artichoke I've ever eaten. My pasta special was delightful. It had halibut, artichokes, and tomato. Plenty of dairy free and pescatarian options. You will be happy you gave it try.

Had the veal ravioli my last time, and it was great. Their risotto is another go to dish, but everything is extraordinary.

Very disappointed in the veal - chewy/lukewarm veggies, shrimp weak and dessert flat ...but prices HIGH.

We arrived to a packed, buzzing room and were shown to our table immediately. The energy was lively without being chaotic, in a good way. We ordered a starter and a main to share, both served efficiently and both genuinely delicious! The food lives up to the reputation! What stood out most, though, was watching the staff. Our server Karley was friendly and on point, and, looking around the room, that tone carried across the entire floor. Everyone seemed to know exactly what to do, exactly when to do it, and they did it with great attitudes and real teamwork. That kind of operation is rare these days, and I think it's probably the secret to why this place stays packed and keeps people coming back. This was my second visit and I was equally impressed as the first. That consistency is hard to achieve and says a lot about how the place is run. Highly recommend!

Even when the bar area appears empty, they do not offer it as an option and instead consistently say there is a waitlist. This was particularly frustrating while dining with a young child, as there was little effort to help us find a reasonable solution or make us feel welcome. The experience felt inflexible and unaccommodating, which took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

The pizza slices arrived promptly with a fresh basil leaf on top. We started with a slice of the pepperoni and sausage #1, which had amazingly crispy/chewy crusts, and a garlic knot which was perfectly garlicky with a pillowy interior. Later we also shared a figgy piggy, which was probably our favorite slice. The fig matched the bacon flavor with perfect balance. Finally we got a cookie to go. Amazingly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle, with pools of bittersweet chocolate, butterscotch chips and a dash of flaky sea salt. We literally walked away in a haze. We are still wondering if that pizza experience truly happened to us. We are out of towners, and even if we never get to experience that again, I'll die happy knowing that I had the honor of consuming this absolutely phenomenal pizza, cookie and knot.

If you love sweet and salty, this is it! A fig marmalade as your sauce layer with plenty of crispy bacon and a ricotta center. 10/10 You will not go wrong with a pepperoni classic. The pepperoni cups are crispy with a subtle spice. The lemon mushroom is also a great slice! The cauliflower salad was AMAZING!! The herby flavorful yogurt based dressing was so tasty. The cauliflower was just roasted to perfection. You have to get the garlic knots! These are buttery, soft, pull apart beautifully and are topped with real garlic. Honestly the best knots I've ever had in my life! Make sure to leave room for their cookies! Overall the service was great, great casual ambiance and even more amazing food!

She did ask if I wanted any cheese or peppers, and again slammed the parm on top of the box, although she did give me more than a couple. I still left her a cash tip in a jar, slowly putting it in so she would notice, hoping it would make her happy, but no thank you, nada. The Pizza is SUPERB , even though she forgot to add the pepperoni I requested. The guy that has helped me before was no different. Does Gino still own this place? Or is he enjoying a well deserved life still in Sicily with Connie. Begrudglinly, I will probably return because the pizza is this good.

It is worth mentioning that it takes a little time and is a little challenging getting to the restaurant from the valet area, for those who might be a little physically challenged or slower moving. I do believe that they have an elevator to take you down to the restaurant level though! Reservation-wise they have two options, the four course Prix Fixe menu (which I chose) and a three hour Chef's Tasting Menu. For my menu, I was able to select from about 3-4 options in every course, and there were some available add ons as well. I loved the La Mora Messicana NA Cocktail, it paired nicely with all of my dishes and still felt fun and margarita-esque. Of all the dishes I ate during the evening, the standout for me was the Yolk Gnocchetti Sardi Risotti with Stephanie's Uni Santa Barbara Abalone, Yuzu, and Caviar. It somehow combined all of my favorite things and made what felt like a comfort dish, but elevated. The Chef's Bites at the beginning and end were also delicious, I loved the little blueberry tart. I would definitely return for another meal here, and recommend it to friends or family.

When our Lyft arrived, employees rushed over to open the doors, and when we asked where the restaurant was, the front desk employee actually stepped away from the desk to personally point us in the right direction. The walk to the restaurant is a bit long since it overlooks the beach, but it was a beautiful night and ended up feeling relaxing and special. (Particularly on the way back when we were full from the tasting menu) I just wouldn't wear uncomfy heels. One interesting touch: we overheard the hostess offering another couple the option to put their phones away for the evening so they could fully experience dinner distraction-free. I ended up keeping mine away too and honestly enjoyed being more present during the meal. As a side note, another couple took photos of every meal and there didn't appear to be a stigma regardless. We did the tasting menu, and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations. All the staff was great, honestly. What stood out most to me compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited was the focus on seasonal ingredients and vegetables. That night featured Harry's berries and asparagus throughout several dishes. My favorite was probably the burrata with Harry's berries and rhubarb. There are quite a few optional upgrades throughout the tasting menu, including caviar and upgraded steak options, but we only added the chocolate bar selection at the end, which was excellent. I also appreciated the atmosphere. You could hear the waves crashing through the open doors, but it still stayed warm and comfortable inside. The noise level was lively without being overwhelming, and the recently added piano really elevated the experience. Some dishes seemed to sing to the symphony. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had, but I absolutely would return. Several dishes highlighted the ingredients so beautifully that I'd love to come back during another season to try a different menu. Solid experience and felt more or less felt worth the price.

I wanted to give them the opportunity to make good and give an explanation. Kind of like call your neighbor before you call the police on their noise level. But I'm frustrated by the declines and the quality. Over the last year I've noticed the quality of the pizza has declined. Last night I ordered wings and Rusty's sub. The sub was pathetic. I hope I can upload the photo of it. The meat and veggie section barely covered half of the roll. There was one slice of tomato that covered 1/4 of the role and a sliver for the rest. The wings were good but they only provided 2 oz of ranch at no charge. 55 cents for each additional 2 oz. What order of wings only gives 2 oz of dressing? Faster delivery in Summerland doesn't make up for poor quality of food. So disappointed!
