My wife, her best friend, and I were staying at the Rosewood Miramar Beach for Memorial Day weekend and were craving Italian food. We asked around, and every single person at the hotel recommended Tre Lune--so we had to check it out for dinner. So glad we did. We started with the Caesar salad plus one of the specials salads that had the most amazing peaches--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. For our mains we shared a pizza from the specials menu along with the rigatoni pasta with chicken and three different kinds of mushrooms, and wow... every bite was absolutely mouthwatering. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For dessert, my wife had a decaf espresso with the pistachio tiramisu, and I had the passion fruit gelato sorbet--both were incredible and the perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance was warm and lively, the service was excellent, and a special shoutout to Aria for taking such great care of us. She was so kind, professional, welcoming, and made our first visit feel extra special. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. Every dish was outstanding, and we can absolutely see why everyone recommends Tre Lune. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Montecito. read more

I really debated whether or not to write this review because I hate writing bad reviews. We made reservations for Saturday night at 9:30 pm. We showed up a few minutes early and were seated outside like we requested since we had our small dog with us. As soon as we sat down the host turned to our server and said 'lo siento' with an eye roll about us. As to say I'm so sorry I'm seating you a table at this time. I've worked in and managed restaurants for over a decade and I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism to say that in ears reach of a customer. The server seemed annoyed of us the entire night. We asked for a heater to be turned on and it never was. We ordered right away, had one course, dessert and paid before the dessert was even brought out just so the server could do his close out. There were still 3 tables inside when we paid. It was my lady's birthday that day and it was on the reservation and nobody wished her a happy birthday or did anything for it. If 9:30 is too late for a reservation then you should close your open table reservations early or give your later reservations a call and see if they can come in earlier. But they made us feel so unwanted that night that it tainted our experience. Which is sad because the wine was great, the 2 pastas we ordered were incredible and the cheesecake special was one of the best cheesecakes either of us have ever had. read more

The food was really good, service is amazing, and the ambiance is great inside. Definitely on the pricey side, but if you are into Italian food, they have many options. Most of their menu is pastas and have a gluten free option if needed. They give you amazing bread as you wait and have many dessert options. I do not recommend sitting outside because it is loud, too many waiters and bussers walking in and out, and people waiting to check in to the host a foot from your table. I would say that they should make a waiting area for those who are waiting not lurk around those sitting outside. But otherwise, no other comments! read more

Calamari was fresh and not over breaded just right. Had the fettuccine al tartufo/ truffle pasta that has been the most exceptional experience of pasta I've had, Life changing with the truffle. Visiting Santa Barbara for a week and Tre Lune was highly recommended. Juan was great and had excellent and thoughtful recommendations for a first visit here. Busy and cozy atmosphere that's fun, but can be a loud if you're looking for something calm and conversational. The food was overall pretty good. The cacio e Pepe was more Alfredo/creamy than I normally see it. The chicken Canneloni al Forno needed more seasoning depth/flavor. I would go back and try other items. Tre Lune on Coast Village Road in Montecito is a classy Italian restaurant. I chose the Amalfi pasta which contained your lobster, mussels, scallops, and shrimp served over spinach fettuccine. Unfortunately I didn't think my food was that great. I feel like I've had better elsewhere. My seafood pasta actually tasted a little bit fishy like the fish had been sitting in it juices and was not properly rinsed even the wine was not that great. The service however was good despite the restaurant being busy and our waiter was entertaining. I did enjoy an old fashioned which was pretty good as well. I don't know necessarily if I would come back to Tre Lune, but maybe to try something different on the menu. We had high expectations for my dish but it was not very impressive. read more

It's quintessential NY Italian eatery. Very friendly service and a large swath of delicious authentic Italian dishes to choose from. The marinara was sweet, tangy with a rich body of tomato. The fresh bread varieties were delicious. I especially loved the thin toasted bread sticks! I started with a bowl of pasta e fagioli. One of my go to appetizers. It was very hearty and tangy, reminded me of south Philky home cooking! My chicken cannelloni was perfectly aldente with a rich & creamy pink rosea sauce. I enjoyed immensely. The pasta primavera was on point. Simple yet delicious. The Tiramisu was perfect! Creamy, sweet but not too much and went down great with a nice Americano. I went here for lunch with my family. I got the gnocchi which was really good and very filling. The gnocchi was very big and the sauce was very creamy. It was a bit fatty for my liking but so if I were to come back I'd get something else. The service was great they would always check up on us regularly. They give you free bread with a balsamic which wasn't my favorite because i prefer just butter or oil. I'd recommend sitting outside cause the street view was beautiful, not busy at all. read more

I was reticent to share the short version of a hard few weeks, after I was asked how I was doing. I waited a bit after the waiter asked, but I dared to share. The waiter was authentically warm and caring. He even comped my dessert to share my pain. Truly remarkable. This is officially my and my Partner's favorite restaurant in the Santa Barbara / Montecito area, and we don't even live locally as we drive all the way from LA county! Had our lunch here with my 6 other great friends because I wanted to share with them this great gem, all coming from LA and had a blast! At first, I was having difficulty with booking because two of my couple friends brought their fur babies with them. Shout out to Sophia for handling the situation and placed us in the patio area and everyone was happy including the fur babies! She's the best! We have a friend in the area who seems to know everyone in the local restaurants. We've visited Tre Lune a few times, and each time service has been relaxed and not-rushed. The food's been great each time. If you're looking for fresh and light (and cheese), the Burrata Alla Caprese is just that. If you want to share it, sharing is possible, but not necessary. *wink*. We haven't had a bad dish here. Most recently, we opted for dishes off the "Special" menu. They had a Fettuccine Stroganoff with steak, and we ordered a couple plates of those along with the short rib risotto. I stuck to the stroganoff, which was delicious. The steak was supposed to be medium, but some pieces were a bit more rare, which is fine with me (order to overcook because most places undercook). The sauce and noodles were comfort food goodness. Found this place by recommendation from a friend and ended up loving it here. We stopped by as soon as they opened for an earlier lunch before heading home from our road trip. From the delicious menu offerings, to the ambiance of old Hollywood music, this restaurant has a lot of charm. The food: To start, you get a small bread basket and some crispy breadstick crackers to go with olive oil + balsamic vinegar and what seems like a house-made grassy pesto aioli. -Linguine del Marinaio: A lovely dish. I liked this one more than I expected and I think it was in part from the sauce. It was tomato based but more savory than your average pomodoro. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but there was extra depth to this sauce. However, I could see the giant chunks of garlic they cook into the sauce which was heavenly. Really good amount of seafood here. -Fettuccine Mare e Monti: A wider noodle than the linguine worked well with this sauce. You get some acidity from tomato but more creaminess than the linguine. Lobster meat was plentiful. Excellent choice. -Squid Ink Seafood Risotto: I can't remember the exact name of this dish on their specials menu, but it has a striking black color. The risotto is flavorful and there was plenty of the calamari and seafood mixed in. -Trout in Pesto Butter: This entree was also a special of the day. The fish was thin but cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the buttery sauce. I would prefer a "meatier" fish such as a halibut in this case, but that's just a preference. Comes with a small side of crispy potatoes and brussel sprouts. -Profiteroles: I ended up liking this more than expected. The order comes with 4 small pastry balls filled with an appropriate amount of cream and then dipped in a chocolate sauce. It's plated with whipped cream and fresh berries which were all sweet and complimented the profiteroles very well. The restaurant and parking: Our server was prompt and helpful. He was great with recommendations and making sure we had what we needed. The tables here are quite small for a group of 4, but he did a great job with clearing plates quickly and fitting everything together. We asked about the chili oil he brought us and were able to purchase a bottle to bring home! (It was delicious with the pasta) The restaurant is mid-sized and there is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Bathroom was cute and clean. We got lucky coming here early and managed to nab a parking spot immediately out front. There are spots all along the sidewalk area that seem to be shared with the neighboring businesses, but they fill up quickly so you may have to park further down and walk. Reservations may be a good idea for high traffic days. Overall: A more pricey meal, but we were very satisfied with all of our dishes. I can see why celebrities frequent this place (we actually saw Ellen at a table haha). If I lived in the area, I would definitely come for a nice occasion. Delicious! read more

We've been going to Tre Lune since it opened. Been there 100 times and the only thing that there's more of... is those little chairs along the walls. Somehow what was once quant feels non-inclusive. If you're not on the wall, you're a nobody. Sometimes it's good, but more often lately, it's not. We probably won't be back. The food has fallen, the service is inattentive and the vibe is no longer warm and welcoming. The waiter we had seems to be of the Lucky's School of Arrogance - if you're not ordering drinks or multiple courses - you're well and truly ignored. I wanted to sit indoors where most were outside so it nearly felt as though we'd reserved the entire place just for us for lunch. We had just about one of everything as per the usual at a new to us spot. Check out the pics and know you're pretty much good to go on the entire menu. I did a half salad, half pasta and we shared a pizza and tiramisu (maybe I ate the tiramisu all to myself, can't recall). My glass of red was great, didn't need a bottle mid day as bestie doesn't drink much at all. My cappuccino was also perf. Service was great! We typically split all meals as we did here and they mistakenly charged both of our cards the full amount then needed to reverse these and recharge. It wasn't a huge deal but a small little hiccup that they resolved on the spot after we pointed it out. Highly recommend! The food is always excellent, they have a nice fresh baked bread basket with homemade bread sticks and herb spread they greet you with. Always a nice touch. The menu selection is great and they never have any problems accommodating special requests. The wine list is well stocked to accommodate the menu. The service has never been less than stellar. In fact, if you're a regular there, you'll probably get the same servers over and over and they remember you. And we're not regulars regulars three or 45 times a year maybe but they always remember us makes you feel special. It's been a family favorite for decades. I didn't mention the desserts.
