Melissa server extraordinaire

Milo is one of the best waiters we found in Santa Barbara. I believe he's only there on Sunday and Monday or Monday and Tuesday. He works at the SY ranch as a food runner when he is not there. He grew up in the industry as his family had a wonderful restaurant. We've always loved this restaurant, especially when they have the chanterelles in season. It feels like a true local warm Italian eatery. We like to sit outside in the covered patio with the heaters. Food is typically consistent and there's something for everyone Milo is a real standout and deserves a review all on his own. We will be returning even more often on Mondays when he is working. Service is part of what makes going out so very special. Of course, the ambience and food must match and it does

It's a beautiful tucked away gem. It seems like it's more of a locals restaurant. The staff new most of the people coming in. Impeccable service. Ambience was beautiful. We dined outside. The artichoke appetizer was the best artichoke I've ever eaten. My pasta special was delightful. It had halibut, artichokes, and tomato. Plenty of dairy free and pescatarian options. You will be happy you gave it try.

We arrived to a packed, buzzing room and were shown to our table immediately. The energy was lively without being chaotic, in a good way. We ordered a starter and a main to share, both served efficiently and both genuinely delicious! The food lives up to the reputation! What stood out most, though, was watching the staff. Our server Karley was friendly and on point, and, looking around the room, that tone carried across the entire floor. Everyone seemed to know exactly what to do, exactly when to do it, and they did it with great attitudes and real teamwork. That kind of operation is rare these days, and I think it's probably the secret to why this place stays packed and keeps people coming back. This was my second visit and I was equally impressed as the first. That consistency is hard to achieve and says a lot about how the place is run. Highly recommend!

Even when the bar area appears empty, they do not offer it as an option and instead consistently say there is a waitlist. This was particularly frustrating while dining with a young child, as there was little effort to help us find a reasonable solution or make us feel welcome. The experience felt inflexible and unaccommodating, which took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

It is worth mentioning that it takes a little time and is a little challenging getting to the restaurant from the valet area, for those who might be a little physically challenged or slower moving. I do believe that they have an elevator to take you down to the restaurant level though! Reservation-wise they have two options, the four course Prix Fixe menu (which I chose) and a three hour Chef's Tasting Menu. For my menu, I was able to select from about 3-4 options in every course, and there were some available add ons as well. I loved the La Mora Messicana NA Cocktail, it paired nicely with all of my dishes and still felt fun and margarita-esque. Of all the dishes I ate during the evening, the standout for me was the Yolk Gnocchetti Sardi Risotti with Stephanie's Uni Santa Barbara Abalone, Yuzu, and Caviar. It somehow combined all of my favorite things and made what felt like a comfort dish, but elevated. The Chef's Bites at the beginning and end were also delicious, I loved the little blueberry tart. I would definitely return for another meal here, and recommend it to friends or family.

When our Lyft arrived, employees rushed over to open the doors, and when we asked where the restaurant was, the front desk employee actually stepped away from the desk to personally point us in the right direction. The walk to the restaurant is a bit long since it overlooks the beach, but it was a beautiful night and ended up feeling relaxing and special. (Particularly on the way back when we were full from the tasting menu) I just wouldn't wear uncomfy heels. One interesting touch: we overheard the hostess offering another couple the option to put their phones away for the evening so they could fully experience dinner distraction-free. I ended up keeping mine away too and honestly enjoyed being more present during the meal. As a side note, another couple took photos of every meal and there didn't appear to be a stigma regardless. We did the tasting menu, and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations. All the staff was great, honestly. What stood out most to me compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited was the focus on seasonal ingredients and vegetables. That night featured Harry's berries and asparagus throughout several dishes. My favorite was probably the burrata with Harry's berries and rhubarb. There are quite a few optional upgrades throughout the tasting menu, including caviar and upgraded steak options, but we only added the chocolate bar selection at the end, which was excellent. I also appreciated the atmosphere. You could hear the waves crashing through the open doors, but it still stayed warm and comfortable inside. The noise level was lively without being overwhelming, and the recently added piano really elevated the experience. Some dishes seemed to sing to the symphony. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had, but I absolutely would return. Several dishes highlighted the ingredients so beautifully that I'd love to come back during another season to try a different menu. Solid experience and felt more or less felt worth the price.

We asked around, and every single person at the hotel recommended Tre Lune--so we had to check it out for dinner. So glad we did. We started with the Caesar salad plus one of the specials salads that had the most amazing peaches--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. For our mains we shared a pizza from the specials menu along with the rigatoni pasta with chicken and three different kinds of mushrooms, and wow... every bite was absolutely mouthwatering. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For dessert, my wife had a decaf espresso with the pistachio tiramisu, and I had the passion fruit gelato sorbet--both were incredible and the perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance was warm and lively, the service was excellent, and a special shoutout to Aria for taking such great care of us. She was so kind, professional, welcoming, and made our first visit feel extra special. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. Our total came to just under $200, and we were happy with the quality of the meal. When the bill arrived, there was a large QR code printed on the receipt instructing guests to pay by phone. We also lingered at the table for a bit afterward -- I was putting on my coat and we were in no rush -- and at no point were we given any indication that there was an issue with the payment. However, as we were walking to our car, the waiter and busser came outside looking for us, believing we had not paid. From the parking lot, I could see them searching and had my husband walk back to clarify. The situation was resolved quickly and the server apologized, but it was uncomfortable and embarrassing. I'm still thinking of the pistachio gelato here. Hands down the best pistachio flavored gelato in town! I love how they served it with pieces of pistachio. First bite was heavenly. Sometimes you can't really taste the pistachio in a gelato, but clearly they've nailed it here. For eats, I tried the Crème di Carciofi. It's marinated artichoke and fava bean spread, confit garlic, pine nuts, mint, and olive oil. Served with toasted bread. This was excellent! It's comparable to hummus, but with a totally different flavor profile. Easily serves 2-3 people. I also ordered the Crudo. It was light, delicate and so fresh!
