You get some restaurant quality cooked to order pasta at a decent price. Seriously not a lot of complaints here. I got some penne arrabbiata and it definitely brought the heat. I'm pretty sensitive to spice even though I enjoy it so I had to go grab a beer at the brewery located within the same food hall. But the pasta was delicious and cooked really well. Justin really nice fast casual meal that if you just want to go out without breaking the bank. This is a great option.

Pastaphony bills itself as "Where pasta gets a personality."…read more Judging from the fiery heat that blasted outtve my plentiful order of Pasta Arrabbiata, I'd venture that my particular entree's personality was, indeed, zesty and irascible...to the point of inedible. On this particular weeknight, your favorite Yelp correspondent was pivoting in and out of Glendora's Food Hall like a metronome, ferrying a quartet of meals from the hall for my wee Uber gig. Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste. The star of the dish was the breaded chicken cutlet and the shaved parm, but since the penne pasta overwhelmed the chicken/parm by an eight to one ratio...this was a difficult dish to finish. Context- As the acknowledged "lightweight" in a family of folks who typically relish spicy food, I asked my wife to sample my dish. She was born in Michoacacan and regularly quaffs homegrown Serrano and Habanero peppers like they're ice. Even she was surprised by how utterly spicy my pasta dish was! My entree cost $26.39 after taxes, a wee steep for a single protein pasta dish. By comparison, you can spend $1 more at any Johnny Carinos or Olive Garden and get a three-item combo with bread and/or salad accompaniments. So I wasn't satisfied by the "value for money" question, either. This experienced reviewer probably ordered the WDD (Wrong Damn Dish) but at their prices (a side of garlic bread or breadsticks is $10.99!) one os hesitant to retake the plunge.

Also, make sure that they're charging you for the correct order cause apparently the girl in front of me was accidentally charged for our order and it took them a couple mins to figure out next steps. Otherwise, the pizza was delicious and the ambiance inside was nifty. There were comic books, a couple arcade game machines, and a skate park next store. We ordered the kickflip and the only thing I would say is I wish the toppings were more evenly distributed. There were slices that only had 1-2 pepps compared to others that had like 5-6

When I crave pasta (which is like twice a year) I always try and find a place that's really worth visiting since the cravings hit seldomly, enter Rosalie. When I looked at the photos I knew this was a place that would give me exactly what I was looking for and without hesitation I made a reservation. They are currently offering an amazing prix fixe meal where you get their fantastic focaccia bread, a starter to share, two pastas and a dessert to share. This was an easy choice since it allowed us to try multiple things on their menu and we could gauge what they had to offer. The focaccia is a must have and cannot be skipped. It comes out piping hot with their house made butter and marinated sweet peppers that have a sauce that can be drank by the glass if you give me the chance. We moved on to the meatball starters which were unbelievable. Two large meatballs cooked perfectly and accompanied by a sauce that felt like it was designed to have the focaccia dipped in it. We got two different pastas, the lumache and the torchetti and both were cooked wonderfully. I love a good al dente, especially on house made pasta. In the middle of the meal I stopped and began thinking how an amazing place is doing nestled inside an unassuming area and how they landed on this location. I found out the proprietor was there and had to ask her process. When I was eating the pasta I compared it to another very delicious and reputable Italian restaurant in pasadena and it felt wayyy too close for me to figure out how this quality matched so well. To my surprise, she was the owner of that said restaurant as well and it all made sense from there. That really have created an amazing space here from the ambiance to the decor to the food. Everything top to bottom just felt right. I will be returning (sooner rather than later) to check out the remainder of the menu and see what other fun things they offer. Also, the tiramisu is amazing with the sea salt topping.

Parking is either on the street or in a large public lot next door. SERVICE: Rosie waited on us again and the service she and the rest of the wait staff provided was very good. The issue, I believe, was with the kitchen (see below under FOOD). DRINKS: Full bar with fresh cocktails and the classics, as well as a decent wine list. Non-alcoholic selections available too. Once again, we ordered a couple Orange Fashioned ($16) cocktails, but this time we received them, and they were delicious. Unfortunately, on our last visit, this was the forgotten item that we ordered and never received. We also ordered a glass of Nebbiolo ($17) which we stated that we were going to share. I'm used to a 5 oz. pour for a glass, and it seemed like we received only half a glass (see my picture). Wine glasses are stemless, which is not my favorite, but okay. NOTE: They do allow you to bring your own wine. Corkage fee is $30/bottle or waived if you also purchase a bottle from them. FOOD: We started with the Focaccia plate ($14) with cultured butter and pickled peppers, so good. The plates are easily shareable, so we then ordered the Charred Octopus ($26), the Bucatini Caccio E Pepe ($24), and the 16 oz. New York Steak ($52). Unfortunately, we never received our NY Steak. This is the most expensive menu item and should be the easiest to make. I assume that it was just forgotten by the kitchen staff, as I know that Rosie had taken the order correctly. They do a good job of timing out the food courses, and everything had fresh ingredients and was very flavorful. Apart from the missing steak, the food was so good. Overall, the food is delicious, but they need to work on their service and communication between the wait staff, bar, and kitchen. The manager did adjust our check for the error they made, and I'm willing to give them one more try as I really enjoy the food and atmosphere.

I have told many people about my personal experiences here and everyone that has visited the restaurant from my suggestions were impressed with the food and excellent service. I am temporarily living out of the area, but always make Eddie's one of my first restaurant visits when I return home. My favorite food is true Italian recipe based and Eddie's uses some of the finest ingredients and seasonings I've sampled. From main courses to salads and desserts, everything is delicious and obviously prepared from scratch. Visit the restaurants website and sign up for their monthly specials. These limited edition offerings are available all month long and everyone a stand-out in my opinion. Lunch specials are a real value and the quality is never compromised. Many of the staff have been with Eddie's for ten or more years and really enjoy their jobs and wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I read a review of Eddie's made recently by a patron and needed to update my review of Eddie's made several years ago. This restaurant would not be as successful as it has been for so many years without taking good care of their guests. My experience with servers has shown that they will do anything in their power to make your visit a happy one with great food and service to match. Mike, one of the managers that I have become acquainted with over the years would not let anyone leave without their being fully satisfied with their dining experience. This restaurant truly wants to have repeat customers that look forward to each and every visit. About a 15 minute drive east of Eddie's in Glendora are two sister restaurants in the community of Claremont that Eddie has also created very successfully thanks to the expertise of Eddie demanding quality food and service for each and every guest. You can't grow to this level without giving your guest what they expect from a superior dining experience. Eddie's Italian Eatery on West Foothill in Claremont has a menu similar to the Glendora location. This location is only a bit over 20 years old, somewhat new compared to Glendora. The upscale masterpiece of Eddie's is "Tutti Mangia-Italian Chophouse" located on Harvard Ave. in historic downtown Claremont. Fine dining at its best with an elegant setting and food to match. A special treat for anyone wanting the most special evening of elegant dining. It's worth the drive to experience the menu and decor. This location has experienced 30 years of success and is a very popular restaurant in the college town of Claremont. When you visit any of the three restaurants that Eddie operates you will be well treated and served some of the most authentic Italian food available anywhere. I never hesitate to make a 15 mile drive to a restaurant that truly has exceptional food and service.

After recently reading an extremely negative review made appx 2 weeks ago about Spaghetti Eddie's,…read moreI felt compelled to share my own experience--especially as someone who has lived in this area for 50 years and has watched our community change tremendously over the decades. I remember when the Mayflower Shopping Center was thriving and nearly every storefront was occupied. Unfortunately, many businesses have come and gone over the years. But Spaghetti Eddie's is still here--41 YEARS later! That alone says something. You don't remain in business for more than four decades without doing something right. They have weathered years of change, economic challenges, and even the incredibly difficult COVID era. During that time, they adapted their operations so they could continue serving the community that has supported them for so many years. Yes, the shopping center may not look like it did years ago, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this restaurant. In fact, on any given night, you may still have trouble finding a close parking spot because Spaghetti Eddie's is packed! When it comes to something as serious as a food allergy, however, I strongly believe we all have a responsibility to advocate for our own safety as well. If you have a severe allergy, it is always wise to double-check your order before leaving the restaurant. Placing the entire burden on a young employee--who may even be working their very first job--without acknowledging our own responsibility seems unfair. No restaurant is perfect, and mistakes can happen anywhere. But I believe a business should be judged by the overall experience it consistently provides--not defined by one incident or one extremely negative review. My family and I have always felt welcomed here. The entire staff works hard, and we have received wonderful service over the years. And I have to give a special shoutout to Manny! He is absolutely amazing at his job and someone I highly recommend. He recently suggested the mushroom soup with truffle oil--something I probably never would have ordered because I tend to stick with my favorites. I am SO glad I listened to him. It was incredible! And here's a tip: dip the bread in the soup. You can thank me later! Then there's the calamari. I order calamari almost everywhere I go, and Spaghetti Eddie's lightly cooked calamari remains one of my absolute favorites. So, before allowing someone else's negative review to make your decision for you, go experience Spaghetti Eddie's yourself and form your own opinion. Think about what 41 years in business really represents: thousands of customers, family dinners, birthdays, celebrations, first dates, longtime regulars, hardworking employees, and countless memories created around their tables. As someone who has called this community home for 50 years, I appreciate the businesses that have stood the test of time--and Spaghetti Eddie's certainly has. 41 years strong, and there's a reason for it. Give them a try. Order the mushroom soup with truffle oil, get the calamari, and enjoy your evening. Spaghetti Eddie's continues to have my support!
