Deep fried burrito is amazing. The house hot sauce collection is also next level! 1000% would recommend. The owners are super nice and have been working every time I've visited.
I went there with my date today, because that's where she wanted to go(our third time going here). She got the sal on ceviche on the homemade tortilla chips, made from wonton wrappers. I got a pork chimichanga-like burrito(under the recommendation of our server, since I was famished). So PANDITA is batting a 1000! Our third time eating there, and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and bright. Nice artwork/posters on the walls and just has a nice, inviting vibe to the place. Very kid-friendly, and I feel it's a place that anyone would have a pleasant experience trying. The staff is friendly and helpful in giving one recommendations on what seems more to his/her liking. They also make top notch mixed, adult beverages, that are made with fresh fruit, and are sure to please. Go check them out.
This is my third review for Pandita, and I'm pleased to say that they are still killing it! One cool thing about them is their weekly specials which are consistently creative and delicious. This week they had wild salmon tacos with ginger-tamarind sauce along with a Thai-style vegan coconut curry soup. As soon as I saw them post it on social media, I knew I had to have it. It was absolutely fantastic. The soup was chock full of veggies and a subtle heat, and the tacos were delicious and beautifully presented, and the tortilla was fresh and locally-sourced. This meal was a ray of sunshine on a cold foggy day. I also appreciate the great music that is always playing whenever I step inside that just adds to the cozy atmosphere. Definitely follow them on FB/IG to catch up on their latest specials. If you want what I just had, you'll have to get there by Sunday Dec 8!
Dang Pandita, you threw down and I am throughly upset that I do not live closer. We had the quest and chips to start. The queso is homemade and delicious. Braised beef and Adobo chicken tacos and the Adobo chicken fuego-rito. The carrot habenero sauce is a must on everything too.
I stopped by a few days ago, after an eye doctor appointment and saw this little restaurant that I had never tried before. They have a great menu and a nice assortment of beverages. They have a little board with their daily specials on it and also happy hour drinks. I ordered their taco salad with Carnitas. I have never had a better taco salad. It was full of nothing but fresh lettuce, pickled red onions, micro greens, pepitas, black beans and some of the best crispy Carnitas I have had. I ordered a mezcal lemonade that was delicious. Alexis, my server was very knowledgeable and helpful with my order. She also brought out their three hot sauces, I couldn't decide which one I liked best. They were all completely different and delicious in their own way. I can't remember the last time I had such fresh and tasty Mexican food in Eugene. I was lucky enough to have met the owner, Amy, and I will be making this a regular stop!
These folks are really nice and I've been going here since they opened a few years back prior to Covid. I was a big fan of the original burrito that had melted cheese and fries in it at the time. This is no longer available, but sometimes the people at the counter know what I'm talking about and I can still get it. I appreciate that. I've eaten there often and had pretty decent experiences with a variety of tacos and burritos over the years. Unfortunately, on my last visit here, I was not so happy. I paid $9.50 for a tortilla full of rather uninspired beans and rice called a burrito. That ain't right. I will stop in for some of their tacos & a margarita again, before I dismiss it as done for me. The other detractors I'll mention is 1) bathroom outside and 2) place tends to be pretty cold because the doors are often open and it's quite chilly. Wear a sweater if you don't run hot.
Fun little taco shack in Eugene, with Japanese-Mexican fusion style food, including hard and soft tacos, burritos, queso and chips, and homemade salsas, that incorporates a childhood nickname of one of the owners: Pandita. This is not Mexican food, and it's apparently not meant to be. Highlights on this menu include a hard taco special (my preference, over their soft tacos) and drinks. Run by a husband and wife team, and incorporating good music, a Grateful Dead bear-inspired panda logo, and featuring a cozy working fireplace on their patio for keeping comfortable on colder days and nights and with limited room in the dining room, Pandita's works best if you stick to their strengths: hard shell tacos, queso, good music & drinks.
Fresh local ingredients make for great flavors. The taco salad special was made with hearty green kale and house-pickled onions, no iceberg lettuce. I have been here a few times but have not had the tacos yet, opting for the specials. The environment is casual and warm. The proprietors are friendly. There is soft music with a lot of variety.
I really wanted to love this place as it was recommended by my brother, but it was just okay. The guac was alright, but the tacos that I ordered tasted like the shells were straight out of an Old El Paso package. The outdoor dining was nice, as it was beautiful out, but our table was way too close to the people next to us. I liked that they had self service water. I would love to see mocktail options for those of us who don't imbibe alcohol.
Do yourself a favor and try this spot if you haven't already. The food is great & we've had almost everything on the menu this afternoon for my small birthday lunch! Didn't get to picture the Chicken Adobo or Braised beef tacos.

What a wonderful surprise to come across this place. The hostess was very welcoming, the ambience is so lovely, and the food is just fantastic. We actually came here because we had read another favorable yelp review. And I have to say they were right. Totally worth a visit if you're in the mood for tacos, and perhaps the top shelf tequila. Also, the guac is to die for. read more

This was my first, but definitely not my last trip to Pandita! The weather was perfect for their outdoor seating, and the staff was eager to help me out in deciding which tacos to get- on top of that which drink to pair with it! Ended up with tasty tacos and two drinks off of their cocktail specials. read more

Updating my original review After a not so good experience at Pandita, we decided to give it another try. The tacos were perfectly cooked and crunchy, and the service was much better than our previous experience. I reached out to the owner and she was really receptive and understanding. She comped our meal and I arrived 20 minutes after my order was placed and the food was ready, and warm! Service was great and I truly do believe my previous experience was a one-off and just a busy night where they had a lot of orders backed up. I think the best way to go when ordering take out is to call in your order and just be super clear with the name you order to avoid any issues. Yes, the prices are bit higher than what you typically find in Eugene, but that's because of the quality of ingredients and the food itself. As a life long Angeleno and now Oregon transplant, Pandita is the only taco place In Eugene reminiscent of the high-end Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles, so it's worth the price. One of a kind place, you can't miss if you're in Eugene! Their tacos are phenomal, well balanced and fresh. Love the creative flavors drawn from international inspiration. I think about their chunky guacamole and homemade carrot habanero sauce in my dreams!! Was looking for something new with family in town and now we're OBSESSED! Pandita is so so delicious, you must try their carnitas (in any form, burrito, taco, or toastada!) We started with their chips and queso which had great flavor, and we tried a friend's tortilla soup. So so good! I got a carnitas burrito and another friend got 5 tacos, all with different fillings. We talked to the chef and they say some things rotate, so you've got to come back and try everything now AND later. Definitely a chill spot, with kind staff, and a good place for friends and family. Great location and atmosphere, a little small but that doesn't matter. The burrito is delicious, well crafted and plated well. Which is why I order every time. Drinks are made well and reasonably priced. Only have 2 complaints and unfortunately one of them is pretty big. First of all the hard tacos are very lackluster. Secondly and the big one, their customer service just is not the best, the people at the register are dull and seem unhappy to be there. When you come inside they tell you to go back outside just to read the menus, this just seems unnecessary. Why not just have them inside as well? Overall the food is a 4 but the customer service is a 2 in my personal opinion, landing me at a 3 star review. read more

Pandita is more than a Taco shop, they are home to many. The owners take great pride in this restaurant and it shows. The produce is local, the meat is local, the seafood is local. Pandita is hands down the best tacos in Eugene. Their weekly specials are inspired, and excellently executed. There tequila is top shelf and their drink specials are always on point. My favorite special is the flan, shrimp tacos, and lately the scallops. If you live in Eugene you should live at Pandita, if your are visiting please make this your go to stop for local flavor. read more

Was happy to find a place that had a focus on sustainably/humanely raised meats in addition to other local/organic ingredients. Pandita did not disappoint: Friendly atmosphere, fun artwork and a really cool outdoor fireplace and seating with outdoor ceiling heaters keeping things toasty. We got a chance to talk with one of the owners and she was very warm and inviting. She has an extensive background with restaurants and she was passionate about the business. It shows. Definitely try the Pandita Fries...start with a half order if it's just two of you. Do a full order if you have 4 or more people. They are awesome and beautifully presented! This is a great place to go as an alternative to Tacovore if you're looking for something on a quieter more peaceful vibe. Definitely worth checking out, and good location--easy to get to. read more

Finally, a Tacovore competitor! Pandita is definitely a bit on overpriced side but the food tasted better than Tacovore for same price. The place is small, not enough seating for large parties. They have a fireplace spot as well. The service was excellent and the host was wonderful. I got chicken tacos and they were delicious. I sooo wanna go back again and try other items on the menu. There is no available parking on site. Customers need to use street paid parking. It was a very pleasant experience and I really enjoyed their food, service and ambience. Maybe with time I'll be able to give Pandita a higher rating. As it stands I'm not super thrilled by my eating experience. The staff are all awesome, and am stoked to see a new taco place in the area, but there was something missing when eating here. I ordered the Pandita Fries, a carnitas taco, Adobo Chicken taco, and an Tempura Avocado taco. All of them are decent portion sizes, pricing is a little steep though, especially for the fries. As far as flavor went it left my taste buds flat. There was nothing super enticing to my pallet. Both the chicken, and carnitas taco seasoning was a bit bland for me to consider it good. I'd say ok, at best. The avocado taco, was really rough for me, I tried to like it, added both of there house sauces to different bites, hoping it would revitalize and bring some life into that taco, it didn't, almost made it worst to be honest. I do plan on revisiting soon, and trying out other menu items. Potentially have a drink at the mini bar. I will say this Pandita is better then Tacovour so you have that going. Great new place for non traditional taco truck taco's. This location does not have a lot of space, that is okay. There is still plenty of spots to eat. They are very friendly, and upbeat with the service while ordering. I will get back to service after I describe the food. I had the carne asada fries, I would definitely recommend getting those. Very delicious! Carnita's taco were very good, and decent sized, I didn't like that they had canned pineapple instead of fresh, and the next time I went I got a carne asada bowl. I would get all of the above again because everything was very delicious. The sauces they have are great. The crema. Everything. The only downfall I would say this place has is the waiting time. It is terrible. I don't know if it is due to the space they have, or what. Thankfully each time I have gone, I was not in a rush, and I am a pretty laid back person. I can see were it would frustrate other people. Because of the terrible wait time they did however offer me free chips and salsa on my to go order the last time. I thought that was very kind of them. it is small things like that that keeps people wanting to come back, besides the great food. (Side note) Owner wrote to me, said they only use fresh pineapple, and organic ingredients. So that is great news. read more

Wow! Just found my new fav spot. Outdoor sitting is fun, especially on a nice day! They have $1 off Margaritas from 4-7 pm. Now let's talk about the food! Tacos, yum. I got the braised beef and veggies! So good! Chips and salsa yum and the Fuego-Rito with carnitas so good! I would say get down here ASAP and quench not only your thirst but appetite. This place right here is amazing! The food is outstanding. Everything is so fresh and packed with flavor. They don't skimp on quality and their prices are reasonable. Also, I love the atmosphere, it's so inviting and cozy. One word....MARGARITA!! The guava lime margarita is soooooooo good! The owners are amazing people that have created something special. Do yourself a favor, and get in your car, jump on a bike, find a bus, or use your feet, I don't care how you get there, just go! read more
